Reservations from ASCP

Hi,
I have a question on ASCP (11.5.10)funtionality.
We create SO for ATO Model, configure it to create * Item (configured item). We collect data and run unconstrained plan. Checking the workbench we can see that ASCP recommends to create a Discrete Wip Job (Make Item). We release the order from ASCP. This will run the WIP Mass Load and creates a WIP JO in the destinations (Transaction) instance. But, it does not get reserved to the Sales order, is this a bug in ASCP? If this is a functionality what is the logic behind this, why is oracle not reserving the WIP order for the sales order?
What is the best possible workaround to populate the reservatiion automatically?

When you release a job, ASCP creates a record in wip interface table.
Write a d/b trigger on this table.
In the trigger, use the transaction id to find the record in msc_supplies.
Traverse the pegging tree using this to reach the demand_id.
Using the demand id get the sales order number.
Create a temp. table that stores the job# and the sales order number.
Use that as a link.
If you want, you can then use this table and create reservations between the sales order and the work order.

I have reservations of child component in RESB table which are resulted from the parent component in Subcontracting Scheduling Agreement.
All Delivery Schedules lines are completed (GR Made.) Still reservations exist for child component.

Hi Sharvan,
To delete entry from Table
Run trx SE16n (preferable) or SE16.
Enter the Table RESB.
Enter the reservation number.
Now in the command window (Where you type the T Codes) type &sap_edit. And press enter.
A message such "SAP editing function is activated" will flash.
Execute
Delete the entry.

Movement type for GI of material reserved from Network not allowed

Hi Experts,
Hope all are doing well.
I am facing a problem in PS, I have the following scenario.
I have some material in a storage location say 1010 - project storage location.
I want to use that material for some project. I have created a reservation from the Network for an activity 0010 with Procurement indicator - Reservation Plan Stock and Item category L.
After this saved the network, system generated reservation number.
I want to issue the material against this reservation from the Project Storage Location. (its not marked as Project Stock)
When I am trying from MIGO system says the material is not maintained for Q i.e., Project Stock.
I checked the movement type it is 281 Q, GI Network from Project, where as I want the Movement type 221 GI for Project from own.
The Movement type field in the Where tab of MIGO screen is in grat mode. So I cannot change that field.
Please tell me how can I issue the material from a storage location to the project for the reservation created from the network.
I am able to issue the material in case I am creating a manual reservation through MB21 with movement type 221.
Please guide me on this.

First yu will have to bring that much qty to project stock for that WBS element by MVT type 415 vide transfer posting. Then you can issue that qty. against the desired reservation.

Release of Planned Orders from ASCP to Internal requisition

Hi All,
Is there a way to stop creation of ISO from IR which is released from ASCP Workbench?
As per my knowledge, when we release a Planned Order, it will create an IR and ISO automatically. There is no such functionality like in Purchasing side where we can use ASL to restrict the PO creation process.

Yes but in that case the responsibility being used to release the planned orders should not have access on any OU.

Exclude Sales Order line from ASCP

Hi,
I have a model which is make at the factory. The same model can be used to purchase from outside.
If it is purchased from outside, the Sales order line will be progressed to create a Purchase Order.
If the purchase order is created then the demand and supply will match. But there are cases that the Sales ORder is created but the purchase order is not raised.
How do I restrict the Sales Order line from ASCP? Please advise.

My understanding of your requirement is
1. If the Model is made inhouse, then you want the ASCP to consider this sales order
2. If the model is Purchased and a PO is created them you still want the SO to be collected by ASCP.
3. If the model is purchases but PO is not created, then you do not want ASCP to collect this sales order
Am I correct in this? If yes, can you help me understand
At what stage a buy or make decision on the model is made?
And how does one know that the sales order is Manufactured or purchased? Do you have any attribute/DFF to identfy this or a seperate order type?
One easier way is to exclude SO is to go thru the datahook and exclude the sales orders based on the requirement.

Demantra forecast disappears intermittently from ASCP.

Demantra forecast disappears intermittently from ASCP. Need to run Upload local forecast workflow again and then the plan run to view the forecast again, Can anyone tell why is this happening?
However the forecast entries are not disappearing from the Denorm table.

if the data is available in denorm table, then some planning program is causing this issue. demantra worflow or forecast publish from demantra works fine.

Goods issue against reservation from multiple batchs,

Dear Friends,
My material is active for batch management at material level, When I do Goods receipt sytem generates unique batch no for the quantity of goods receipt,
Goods is issuied against reservation, if reservation quantity is more than batch quantity then i have to issue material from to differnt batches for that i have issue material from first batch and then i have to issue materil from second batch, so multiple goods issue has to done for one reservation,
Can anybody tell me how to issue material for a reservation from multiple batches at a single transaction, please suggest,

Manual Batch Numbering from ASCP

Dear Friends, can some one help me what is the step to assign manual number for batch production that is released from ASCP Plan, as I ever heard there is a profile option that must be set up to do this beside set the batch numbering in parameter to manual.

Hi,
As far as I know, there is a profile option which controlls the released recommendations from ASCP WB as to whether convert planner order to batch automaticaaly or leave shopfloor to decide to do this task. Now, if you set the document number as "Manual" for this plant, this might work your requirement.
For now, I am trying to see what is that MSC: profile option.
Let me know if someone else has this handy.

Exclude B2B Purchase Order from ASCP

Hi,
I have a requirement to exclude a particular Purchase Order from ASCP. The item is inventory and also MRP planned. I cannot change that.
this is for the B2B scenario.
Is it possible to give a subinventory in Purchase Order -> distributions and uncheck the nettable flag in the subinventory. Does this help ASCP to exclude the PO?

A PO which is created with destination equal to a non-nettable sub -inventory will not be considered in plan.

How to set authorization to limint plant to craete reservation from IW32

Please advice me how to set authorization to limit plant to create reservation from IW31 or IW32 (Maintenance Order).
I set at M_MRES_WWA (authorization object) but it is not work.

I am not very sure about the object you are using, but if it is correct(else serch for the correct object), then make a master role for the T-Codes IW31 and IW32.
then make a drived role from the above made role, and assign the object(above searched object) in the object give the value as that of your plant, and activity as per the requirement.
you can maintain as many derived roles as the no. of plants.

Production schedule from ASCP module

Hi,
Our users would like to know if we can have production schedule for all Finished goods items from ASCP.
I believe horizontal plan can be used to know the schedule but it is only for one item. Is there any User interface or report which we can use to get the production schedule of all finished goods.
P.s. we are not using Oracle Production scheduling module.

You will have to
1) Use planning detail report but it is a bit of a pain to setup
2) Write personal queries on workbench screen (works similar to folders but better)
3) Write a report / query to extract data from tables

How to find out the batches released from ASCP

hello gurus,
Please let me know how to find out the batches which is released from the ASCP in the OLTP OPM instance, like for the Discrete in the WIP Order in the others tabe we can see that there will be a message like " Job mass loadded on......". So is there any way that we can findout whether the batch is released from the ASCP or is it manually created.

You can check it in SM59 if there are any RFC destinations for the above systems.
Alternatively ,check the table RFCDEST if any entries are maintained

How to find out the requsition created in the OLTP from ASCP

I have released a planned order from the ASCP, The requsition import and the create releases requests were completed in the OLTP but then i am not able to see that requsition either or if some body can help me out with navigation

Where are you not able to see the req?
Are you using screen or using sql?
If you are using EBS screens,
Go to req. summary screen > enter import source =MSC and enter the item # and Date Range > hit find
Similarly go to PO summary screen > enter item# and date range, check "View releases" box > hit find
If you are on sql, use po_requisition_headers_all and po_line_locations_all tables.

Automatic Reservation from Maintenance Order

Hi,
I have a problem. Generally from Maintenance Order type PM01 under Order Category 30, when we give some materials requirement, SAP automatically generate reservation for those materials and take the GL as Consumable Item.
But in my case, that GL has to be changed depending on what perpose we are using the material. But Manual reservation is not allowed for the order category 30 and no GL can be changed for automatic reservation.
Can anybody suggest any way-out so that we can give our desired GL No. for the reservation for Maintenance order (say Order type PM01 under category 30 which is SAP internal).

Thanks for your answer. Actually I found that place, it is determined from OBYC transaction with a combination of GBB (A/c Key) and VBR (A/c Modifier).
But for same movement type261, I need manual G/L allocation at runtime. i.e. depending upon case to case, the G/Ls will be different. So, different movement type perhaps would not serve the purpose.
Basically I need to over-write the G/L for automatic reservation created from PM in the PM01 order type with category 30 where manual reservation is not allowed.
Can you suggest any way out so that I can actually over-write the G/L for automatic reservation- through SPRO or some kind of development...
