Resource Search without WFM Core

Is it possible to search for resources in cProjects frontend without using WFM Core? Please guide.

Resource search based on Customer and Project role type

We are using cProjects 3.1 with WFM core and SAP ECC 5.0 We have been able to search for resources (created as Business partners) based on Org Unit, Qualifications and also Availability %.
But while searching in the General tab, if we enter the
Customer/Ordering Party field or Project Role type field, the search yields no results. However if both these fields are blank, the search gives correct results.

There is BAdI: DPR_SEARCH which you can use.
You can implement it with custom logic
Talking about PA-PSA based search, Is available using PFAL transaction for BP creation
You need to Map your PA-PSA with Area-location of cProjects

Business Partner - person not available in WFM core

Having created a business partner in BP transaction (role 'Resource), when I try staffing it to a role at the fron end, I get the message "Person XYZ is not known in WFM core."
What all need to be done to be able to staff?

In order to use Business partnesr as resources in cPorjects, create BP with role "Employee"
You can use Transaction BP for the same.

Business Partner Role 'Employee' - not in WFM Core

Hi,
Having created a Business Partner (under role Employee), when I try staffing this resource to a task at the front end (I am using cProjects 4.0), I am not able to. Instead, I get the message "Person XYZ is not known in WFM core."
What's to be done? Transaction "PRP_WFM_ADMIN" leaves a message "Transaction PRP_WFM_ADMIN is obsolete." Please share the tcode I should be using and/or any other issue I should take care of to see through this.

Do you create in the BP as general and then as employee?
I created the BP under Employee role. The resources are also available to be staffed at the front end. However, when I try staffing, I get a message that the 'person xyz is not known in WFM Core'.
Transaction PRP_WFM_ADMIN is supposed to tranfer BPs from PRP to WFM. But this transaction is reported to be obsolete. And therefore, I am not too sure of the next move.

Resource Search in cProjects 4.0 not fetching results

Working on cProjects 4.0, I have specified the qualifications catalog and selected a few items from the catalog for a role. These are the items I have set for the resource (Business Partner). However, when I do a 'Resource Search' at the front end, the system does not throw the list of resource I expect the system to do.

Thanks for your response. This, however, does not help.
As mentioned, I have defined the qualification catalog and selected the qualifications for the role. The resouce (BP) does have the required qualifications. However, the 'Resource Search' fetches no results.
Do I have to have the resources defined in WFM to be able to fetch? I guess no...

Can we write query for fomatted search without from clause

can we write query for fomatted search without from clause as below.
SELECT (($(u_amt)*14)/100)
here U_amt is a UDF .I want to assign this to another field .

Hi Rajeev,
You can write query for FMS without from. That is because you can omit it when you get value from active form by default. The grammar of it is:
Select $[$38.u_amt.0\] * 14/100 in your case if you have item type marketing document @line level.
From View-System Information, you can get the info you need for your FMS query at the left bottom of your screen.

My bluetooth seems just to search without connecting...

My bluetooth seems just to search without connecting and finding any phones, PCs. If I send the transfer from another phone or pc, it does ask to pair up but always says not supported. Anyone knows how to fix this issue?

The iPhone bluetooth stack is not intended to pair with other phones or computers (except in hotspot mode for sharing your internet connection with a computer). The Bluetooth on an iPhone is designed for A2DP and AVCRP (I believe I have those correct, headset and stereo audo), as well as some peripherals like the HID keyboard drivers. Other than that, your iPhone requires custom app support for bluetooth connectivity to other devices.

KM Search without TREX

search is possible without using TREX.

Hi JohnP,
searching without Trex is technically possible, but KM is required for such a scenario. You can "simply" develop an IndexService (Search) for KM's Indexmanagement layer connecting any search engine and plug it into the framework. Leave the TREX IndexService empty (not TREX configuration) and you will be able to search upon your IndexService resp. to your search engine.

WFM Core time spec cleanup

Hi,
We have created Business Partners of employees through the program
HR_SYNC_PERSON, and have also maintained their time specifications in WFM
Core through the program 'PRP_WFM_ADMIN'.
For certain business requirements, we had to delete some Business
Partners by executing the transaction code 'BUPA_DEL. However, the time
specifications of these deleted business partners still exist in the WFMCore. Kindly suggest if there is any report/note available for the cleanup of the time specs of the deleted business partners.

Using external search without RoboHelp server

Is it possible to index pages external to your project in
order to conduct searches without having RoboHelp Server?

From what I understand, the (PPT, DOC, XLS, TXT, and PDF)
files would have to be included in the project, either in baggage
files or placed in the root of your project folder on the server.
Here is a snip from the online help regarding this:

Pro projects, you can search for any topics and baggage files (PPT,
DOC, XLS, TXT, and PDF) included in a project. You can also add a

and re-creates the index at the time of scheduled scanning. Also,

So it seems that a link to an external file via HTTP or FTP
would not be indexed. I will try to seek further clarification on
this, but that's the way I read it.

Perform Search without first logging into OCS?

Is it possible to configure Ultrasearch to allow users to perform a Web search without having to first login?
I'm using Ultrasearch as part of OCS and each time I try to send a query string as POST data to the search page, I am asked to login. Same if I'm just trying to access the search form. I'm hoping to leverage Ultrasearch to allow our users to search our intranet (developed in-house) without requiring them to login to OCS.

I am trying to implement Workforce Management System for resource allocation. I had done all standard configurations but, while running resource allocation tools CRM _DWP system is flashing an u201CERROR: Service Employee is not created as a resource in the WFM Coreu201D.
Please help me out how to rectify this error.

I´m pretty sure you have created a employee - master record.
Now you have also to create a service agreement for this employee. This has to be a working-time-based agreement, which means you have to maintain the regular working time e.g.
monday to friday every day 08:00 AM to 06:00 PM.
Do you have access to an IDES-System CRM 2007? If yes open employee "Lou Windham" as example.

CProjects 4.0 : Correct resource search and incorrect staffing

I am using resource search by qualification in cProjects. The search itself is OK, but when I am trying to staff the project role from resources found, the role is staffed by N.N.1 resource, not that one that I have chosen.
Does anybody know what is the reason of such collision?

I have heard this behaviour recently, there should be a note for it. Would you please search the notes using the the key words. You can also post hotpackage stand of your system, I will then search it.

CProjects 4.0 - Resource Search

Having specified the 'Qualification' and 'Minimum Availability', when I do a resource search, I get the list in line with the expected. On this page, few of the columns - Resource Name, Assignment, Suitability etc. have the expected (and right) values. However, such columns as 'Time Available', 'Capacity' and 'Availability' have values zero.
What ooght to be done to get the right values in these columns?

Thanks for the inputs. I did specify the location and availability for an employee in the transaction you specified - RPM_EMPDATA. Havng done this, I see the columns Skills, Location, and Availability checked (ticked right).
But I see no difference at the front end. When I do a resource search, and when this resource appears in the search list, I see values in the columns 'Resource Name', 'Assignment', 'Suitability' etc. but the 'Time Available', 'Capacity' and 'Availablity' columns still read zero.
Anything else that you'd suggest me doing???
