Responsive design project not working in Opera or Chrome

My Captivate project in responsive design is only previewing in Internet Explorer. I have also uploaded the projects to my server and am having the same problem. Why is this?

Chrome 36 has some issues with captivate html5 output. Please find the following workaround to fix the issue.

SSI Files not working in Opera or Chrome

Hi Everyone,
Okay I'm running into a few problems but one especially. I created SSI files in this website and they seem to work well in Firefox and IE8 but when it comes to Opera and Chrome the areas where the info should appear are blank. I'm naming the HTML files as SHTML. Is there aomething I should do as a default for these two browsers. I'm using Dreamweaver CS3

I'm sorry that I didn't post better info, I wasn't thinking. I'll do that in the future.
Now the good news , I think.
When I was using ssi files I renamed any page that was using an SSI file with the extension, SHTML. This seemed to work fine in IE & Firefox, but not in Opera, Chrome and Safari. What I DIDN"T do is rename the "index.html" to "index.shtml". I didn't do this because I wasn't using the SSI option on the index page because that is where the original code is, so I thought I didn't have to rename the index file extension to SHTML. Once I renamed the extension to SHTML , all the browsers worked. Does that make sense to everyone?

Adobe Fourms does not work with Opera too well. I have to use in Opera "Identify as Firefox just to post this message!
I also have run into the same junk with Hotmail.
Web Design Tip: Always code for Opera and all other browsers will fall in line most of the time.

I've installed a button in my Firefox tool bar to toggle iFrames on and off through a Firefox add-on called "Toolbar Buttons".
The forum Reply Editor does not work when iFrames are blocked, so I need to toggle them back on when posting, then back off. I imagine that's better than having them on all the time.

Adobe flash player 10.1.102.64 not working in opera 11

for IE flash player 10.1.102.64 is working in the youtube.....
but
while using OPERA 11its not working? pls feel free to reply me:
what i was done is.
1.i disable antivirus
2.select my operating system and bowers
3.close my all browers which are running
after this also its not work in opera 11

Hi, With Flash Player, there is an ActiveX Control in IE which is Shockwave Flash Object which if IE is working for you then you have it.
In all non-IE browsers there is a Shockwave Flash (SWF) and it is Installed as a plugin and must be Enabled.
You can check there for it.

Shockwave Player 12.1.3.153 not working on Opera 22 browser

I have just upgraded the Shockwave Player on my computer to the latest version (12.1.3.153). However, when I use Adobe's function to test the installation on my Opera 22 browser, the test fails. (No animation appears in the box).
I am currently using Opera 22 on a computer with Windows 7 64-Bit SP1. The Shockwave Player test works fine with the other browsers I have installed (IE, Firefox, Chrome). Any ideas on why the player is not working with Opera 22 and how to fix this?

Flash buttons not working in IE7 and Chrome

As you can see the Flash buttons animate, but when clicked they should go to a new html page.
I've tested it in IE8 and Firefox without any problems but it's not working in IE7 and Chrome.
Does anyone know what the problem is? Could it be the html code or the flash file itself?

Hi, Glad you were able to solve that issue with the buttons and Chrome. Any small thing can cause big problems!! LOL

Scrolling effects in Muse are not working properly with the Chrome browser at the moment.

My scrolling effects in Muse are not working properly in the Chrome browser .I disabled any third party widgets to see if that was the problem but it wasn't. Safari and firefox presented my site perfectly but when it was opened in chrome the menu navigation bar will not stop moving uncontrollably jittering when the page is scrolled. We are using Vertical spry menu bar features provided with Dreamweaver CS3.
You are using Spry 1.4.
The latest version of the Adobe Spry Framework is 1.6.1, this is the same version that ships with Dreamweaver CS4.
When using Dreamweaver CS3 (uses Spry 1.4), it's wise to upgrade your files to the latest version. This can easily be done using the Spry Updater that can be found here.
If after that you still have problems, please come back here.

Design view not working after importing project from Flex Builder

After importing a project from Flex Builder to Flash Builder I am no longer able to see anything in the design view. I am using the flex 4.5 sdk.
Any idea how I can get this design view working? I heard it could have something to do with the metadata directory but am slightly lost here?...

Could you please provide more information as to what exactly are you importing. Also does Design View not lauch at all or does it give errors. Would it be possible for you to share the logs.
Meanwhile you can try cleaning the workspace and importing again to see if that solves the issue.

Design View not working with skins

Hey,
Excuses, I posted this question earlier in the "general
discussion" topic.
I'm using Adobe Flex 2. I have a pretty big project. If I
open it, design view works. If I close Flex and open the same
project again, design view wont work. There aren't any
error-messages or warnings given. I have been able to track te
problem down to graphical skins in a CSS declaration. I have to
erase them, to make Design View work. Then, I paste the code back
again. This is very inconvienent. Is this a normal problem,
inherent to how Flex works. Is there an other, easier way around?

CP8 Can responsive design projects be saved as a template?

Can I build layouts in the responsive design three views that contain branding and formatting and then save it as a template for other designers to use?

No, the option Save as template is only available for normal projects, not for responsive projects.
Formatting, objects on master slides, skin editor can be saved in a theme, you don't need a template for that. Be sure to start from one of the included responsive themes.

Quickie: Design view not working

Hi all,
Not sure why, but design view (non-live) just shows a grey panel, or white if I focus on it.
If I turn Live View on, I can see everything but not edit it obviously. Split code/design doesn't work unless Live View is turned on.
No idea why this is, I'm an occassional user of DW (CS6 Win7). This is a site which I've created, edited and published before all on the same workstation.

First, validate your HTML and CSS code. Fix any reported errors. CS6 Design View is much less forgiving of coding errors than earlier versions were. A blank screen can be caused by missing semi-colons in your CSS, orphaned <div> tags, etc..

Import Project not working... Help?

I cannot for the life of me figure this out. Running two macs. I have an assistant now who rates/edits photos on one mac running Aperture. When she finished, I exported the project (without checking 'consolidate images') and then imported them on my computer. When I did this, I got the following:

So I thought - maybe I should have checked the checkbox on the export. So I went back, checked the box and exported. Sure enough, on the import, I got the same. No files anywhere to be seen, but several folders.
Any ideas? The files are stored in the aperture library (not referenced).

How are you transferring the exported project between computers? If you are using the Windows drive sharing feature, that will not work and probably give you what you see. It could be something else as well.
That would be my best guess as to what is happening. You could double-check the exported project contents when you receive it, use Finder to right-click on the project and select "Show Package Contents" - then you are looking at what files are inside that project. Compare what is in the original exported project on the computer it normally lives on with the copy, and see if there are any differences.

Magic Mouse two finger swipe (forward/back) not working with Opera 10.

Magic Mouse left and right two finger swipe (forward and back) works great with Safari, Firefox, and Camino.
I enjoy using Opera 10 and noticed that the two finger swipe does not function with Opera. Any ideas on why or what adjustments I can make to get it to work?

No workaround so far with this problem and also no posts in the Opera forums. Just have to wait until Opera includes this functionality in their next release.
In the meantime you can help by joining the forum (takes a minute) and posting your concern. The more people that join and voice their complaint the faster something will get coded into their browser.

Cp6 project not working on tablets

Hello. I have a Cp6 project that I published as swf and html5 (combo) which runs perfectly on a PC with Windows 7 using either IE9 or Google Chrome. This project is also SCORM 1.2 enabled and works fine on the LMS - either SCORM Cloud or the client's LMS.
The strange thing is when I tested launching on an Android Samsung S Note, it acts like it’s going to launch but never really does. And, it actually did launch and play great the first time I tested it a couple weeks ago on my PC.
I had someone else test the same file on a Nexus 7 tab via SCORM Cloud and all he saw were black screens so it didn't work there either.
One of my counterparts launched it from his Apple products and here are the results. (I published the same project as HTML5 only and asked him to test both.)
PowerBook (Apple)
On the HTML5 alone course I just had a gray screen.
On the full SWF/HTML5 course everything worked as expected, including the video slides and the PDF text versions. There was a visual 'glitch' every time there was a transition from a static slide to video and from a video clip to a static slide.
iPad Gen 2: Neither course worked, all I would get is a gray screen on both of them that didn't lead to anywhere.
iPad Gen 1: Same thing, gray screens on both of them.
Here are the browsers that were tested in the Apple products:
Firefox v. 26.0ts
Safari 6.1.1
Chrome 32.0.1700.77
IE 10.0.9200.16384 (running with Windows 8 through Parallels)
So it seems to be the tables are having issues. Any ideas? Is there anything else I need to do to enable this project to work on tablets - Android or iOS?

HTML5 should run, but how is an iOS device going to play a SWF? The OP said he published as swf and html5 (combo).
When publishing to SWF and HTML5 there are 3 html files created:
index.html (HTML5 document)
multiscreen.html (Not an HTML5 doctype and uses frameset which is not declared in doctype)
"project name".htm (Not an HTML5 document loading a SWF)
You should be using the multiscreen.html file to determine which content to deliver, and start your troubleshooting from there. You will need to determine which actual file is being used when the different users experience issues.

Visual Gesture Builder Analysis project not working ?

I'm working on Visual Gesture Builder and I try to understand how to use it. Currently, I use the 1409 release of the SDK, but I did some tests on 1406 version and it's not working too.
My problem is the next : when I build a training project, I can successfully produce a .gba file and test it with the live preview tool but I can't use it in the analysis project. I include the same clip or another, and I start the analysis, then the output
pan show me "SUCCESS:" and no more messages. The control pan is not updated (the table project analysis results contains just the header row) and when I click on the clip, they are not any suggestion of tagging, just my timeline with my own tags
if it's a clip that I used in the training project.
I made many tests, like change streams recorded in kinect studio or using KSConvert.exe to upgrade my clip, but nothing happens. I tried to use VisualGestureBuilder.exe with command line and the option -analyse, but the message is always the same : the command
line arguments were not valid. I saw all videos (MVA and blog's evangelist) about Visual Gesture Builder and reproduce step by step all manipulations, but nothing with the analysis project.
