Restore Accidentally Deleted Alias

Hello all--- I just switched over to iCloud.  I have had an email alias ([email protected]) that I have used for work for several years.  The alias successfully transfered.  It showed up in the iCloud preferences post-transfer.
And then... accidentally, I deleted it (I clicked the "delete" button by mistake, and that was it, no confirmation button, it was gone.  GONE!)  I really need to get that back!!  Any ideas????  I've been bounced around Apple Support with no luck and meanwhile, my work emails are falling into an abyss....

I hope to hear from a Verizon representative very soon--telephone is the best method to reach me at this point.
It's been four days since the alias disappeared, which means hundreds of emails I have not received. Verizon Technical Support by telephone haven't been able to help, and they give different, often conflicting information--as one might expect, since they're not the ones who have the knowledge and power regarding the situation.

  • Photo booth - restore accidentally deleted photos

i somehow accidentally deleted all of my photo booth photos. i attempted to restore them using suggestions on forums but nothing worked. i eventually thought i found some solution when i right clicked on 'photo booth library' in my pictures folder and opened 'show package contents' i then dragged all of my photos that i'd recovered from the trash into the 'pictures' folder where photos i had just now taken on photo booth were - opened photo booth and my old photos still weren't there.
can anyone help me with this issue?

Did you use Sherlock to search?
Did you check your Applications folder?
If yes to the above then you can custom install Photo Booth from DVD #1 that originally came w/your computer. Photo Booth should be inside the *Bundled Software* folder. If not there, check the Applications folder.
If you still cannot locate PB on the DVD you will need to use Pacifist
    Pacifist Usage Instructions
Also see Kappy’s detailed How to Use Pacifist to Replace Deleted or Missing OS X Components instructions.

  • Restore Accidentally deleted songs

I accidentally deleted a whole Genre and many songs, rather then delete one duplicate song, which is what i wanted. Most songs not from ITUNEs store but from disks, whihc i no longer have. As a result, i've deleted many fav. songs. I cannot find in ITUNES Library. Not sure i am accessing Itunes Library library correctly as back ups show itl. extension. when it asked to retain file in Itunes i had said yes (thinking i was deleting one song). I assume files must be here but spent hours trying to locate. My IPOD touch has all these songs and i sppose worse to worse, i can reload from there somehow. How do i get these songs back. Just did day or 2 ago, on my IPOD and i have not turned off my MAC. I have MAC Mountain Lion desktop.

You have posted to the iTunes Match forum, but it is unclear whether you have an iTunes Match subscription. Do you? If not, iTunes Match can not help you. If you do have a subscription please describe how the songs were deleted. If the files are no longer physically on your computer and you do not see them in the iTunes library with a cloud download icon this means they have also been deleted from iTunes Match and are not recoverable.
The most eficatious way to restore the missing songs will be to restore from the backups you have been making of your personal data. You have been backing up your data to an external HDD, haven't you?

  • How can I restore accidentally-deleted add-ons?

A year ago, I wasn't fully awake and I accidentally deleted some critical add-ons that my Firefox needs to become stable. Is there a way I can restore them?

If this was nearly a year ago then it is very highly unlikely that there is any remnants of the add-ons left. depending on the add-on and very specific circumstances it may have left behind config files in a temporary area. the only thing i could suggest to get them back would to be to attempt to recall which add-ons you installed and re install them. If you are merely interested in making firefox as stable as it was when you first installed it then please follow [[Reset Firefox – easily fix most problems|this mozilla support article]] showing how to completely reset your browser. NOTE: Pay close attention to what the article says a reset will and will not change. a total browser reset may be just what you want or may not effect anything at all for you.

  • Restoring accidentally deleted pictures?

    Hi people
I let my little brother check out my iPhone for a while and when I got it back he said that the he accidentally deleted some pictures. -.-
    I urgently need those pictures
I've tried using "Phone disk" to mount the phone as a flash drive and tried running a recovery software but nothing worked.
    Any ideas?
    Help is greatly appreciated.

As far as I know only camera roll pictures can be deleted off an iPhone & camera roll photos are included in the back-ups...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1766
The relevant entry from the support document, as it does list camera roll pictures and videos in what is backed-up.
iTunes will back up the following information:
Address Book and Address Book favorites.
App Store Application data (except the Application itself, its tmp and Caches folder).
    Application settings, preferences, and data.
    Autofill for webpages.
    CalDAV and subscribed calendar accounts.
    Calendar accounts.
    Calendar events.
    Call history.
Camera Roll (Photos, screenshots, images saved, and videos taken. Videos greater than 2 GB are backed up with iOS 4.0 and later.)
Note: For devices without a camera, Camera Roll is called Saved Photos.
    In-app purchases.
Keychain (this includes email account passwords, Wi-Fi passwords, and passwords you enter into websites and some other applications. If you encrypt the backup with iOS 4 and later, the keychain information is transferred to the new device. With an unencrypted backup, the keychain can only be restored to the same iPhone or iPod touch. If you are restoring to a new device with an unencrypted backup, you will need to enter these passwords again.)
List of External Sync Sources (Mobile Me, Exchange ActiveSync).
Location service preferences for apps and websites you have allowed to use your location.
    Mail accounts.
Managed Configurations/Profiles. When restoring a backup to a different device, all settings related to the configuration profiles will not be restored (accounts, restrictions, or anything else that can be specified through a configuration profile). Note that accounts and settings that are not associated with a configuration profile will still be restored.
Map bookmarks, recent searches, and the current location displayed in Maps.
    Microsoft Exchange account configurations.
Network settings (saved wifi spots, VPN settings, network preferences).
Nike + iPod saved workouts and settings.
    Notes.
    Offline web application cache/database.
Paired Bluetooth devices (which can only be used if restored to the same phone that did the backup).
Safari bookmarks, cookies, history, offline data, and currently open pages.
Saved suggestion corrections (these are saved automatically as you reject suggested corrections).
SMS and MMS (pictures and video) messages.
Trusted hosts that have certificates that cannot be verified.
    Voice memos.
Voicemail token (This is not the Voicemail password, but is used for validation when connecting. This is only restored to a phone with the same phone number on the SIM card).
    Wallpapers.
    Web clips.
    YouTube bookmarks and history.

  • How do you restore accidentally deleted e-mail from a back-up?

I accidentally deleted some important e-mails.  I have an external hard drive with backups, but I'm not sure how to go about it nor where they go.  I'm using Entourage on a desktop Mac with OS 6.8.  Does anyone have any ideas?

If the mail account is a IMAP or Exchange account that is how it works. Those accounts synchronize mail on all devices.
If the mail account is a POP3 account the go to Settings>Mail>the mail account>Advanced>Deleted Messages>Remove and set to never.

  • Is there anyway to restore accidentally deleted videos from Iphone4?

My kid deleted a whole years worth of videos from my IPhone4 and am trying to find out if there is a way to restore?  Please help!

One of the reasons why photos/videos captured by the iPhone should be imported by your computer ASAP after capture as with any other digital camera.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083
Photos/videos in the Camera Roll are included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process if updating the backup is done on your computer, or over the air with an iCloud account if this option is selected.
If your iPhone's backup has not been updated since the videos were deleted, you can try restoring your iPhone with iTunes. Do not update the backup when prompted as the first step when doing so.

  • I accidentally deleted the built in Network Utility and need to restore it.

    I'm using OS X Mavericks.
I accidentally deleted the built in Network Utility and need to restore it.
It's not in my Time Capsule back ups.  Where do I go with this other than an OS reinstallation?

It should be in your TC backup.  If not, you will need to Reinstall OS X
Note that with Mavericks, you need to go to: /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications/Network Utility.app
(You can drag to your Dock, or make this an alias)

  • How can you restore photo stream photos back to Apple TV after accidentally deleting from your iPad

After accidentally deleting photo stream  photos on my iPad, this deleted photo stream photos on my Apple TV.  How can I restore these photos back to my Apple TV and also to  my iPad?  Suggestions welcomed

If you have a backup of your iPad prior to the date of deleting your photos, you can find them. Otherwise, you might be able to find them.
If you do have this backup, then you'll have to restore your iPad to that point.
If you had a Mac with iPhoto, then when you connected your iPad, iPhoto would store the photos separately from Photostream.
I despise Photostream. It's turned off everywhere on my system. It is one of the most useless pieces of junk that Apple has foisted on my Mac and iOS. But hey, that's just my opinion.

How can I restore a purchased iTunes movie that I accidentally deleted? Thanks.  BB

You are not licensed to burn any iTunes video products, regardless of whether it's to a data DVD or a playable DVD.
See the iTunes Terms & Conditions, Usage Rules v.   "(v) You shall not be entitled to burn video iTunes Products or tone iTunes Products."   Additionally, you are only licensed to use iTunes products on iTunes authorized devices, which DVD players are not.

  • I accidentally deleted a purchased itunes song but still have it on my ipod.  Is there anyway to restore it to my pc?

I accidentally deleted a purchased itunes song but still have it on my ipod.  Is there anyway to restore it to my laptop from the ipod?  I've seen others with a similar situation and the question was asked if it was still on the ipod but can't find a follow up to point me in the right direction.

Use the Transfer Purchases command in iTunes.

  • I accidentally deleted my media files from iTunes and Trash when I was trying to move the files to an external hard drive. Is there a way to restore the media files from a Time Machine backup or from iTunes Match? What are the steps to do this?

I accidentally deleted my media files from iTunes and Trash when I was trying to move the files to an external hard drive. Is there a way to restore the media files from a Time Machine backup or from iTunes Match? What are the steps to do this?

If you have been backing up on Timemachine.
All you need to do is enter time machine... Then the rest is obvious.
Find the iTunes folder and hit 'Restor'.
If not the only way to get all your iTunes music back is to enter iTunes Store.
On the right hand side you should see 'Purchased'.
Click 'purchased' and there you have it.
