Return process in case of final settlement of rebate

Hi.
I have mapped the rebate process which is working fine. But suppose i have carried out final settlement of rebate agreement and material is return by customer which has the rebate impact on it.
In this case suppose material is return, the rebate agreement also get updated even though final settlement is carried out by some amount.
this is nothing but the amount which customer as to pay back to the company....right
In this case how should i process so that i can nullify the return rebate amount impact(This is case when validity period is valid)
And how should i process if validity period is over of that agreement because inthis case no amount will be updated in agreement.
Thank you

  • Automatic final settlement of rebates without payment screen

When we final settle SAP rebate agreements with payment screen (where we have to specify the final settlement amount) everything is working fine. But when we attemept to final settle the rebate agreement WITHOUT using the payment screen (all the accurals have to be paid to the rebate recepient), I am facing the following issues
    1. SAP gives a message saying credit memo request is created, but there is no credit memo request number in the pop-up screen
    2. When I do a VA03 it shows a default credit memo request number (doc number moves as per the number range), which I can not display the document because SAP gives error saying the document is not in the database.
    3. When I go back to the rebate agreement there are NO changes to it - status is still in "Open" (changed to 'B' during final settlement). I try again final settle it automatically without payment screen and face all the above problems again.
But if I final settle the same rebate agreement using paymentscreen by specifying a payment amount everything works fine. Is it a bug in the program (or) am I missing something? Please let me know. Thanks

    Hi Dhanaraj
Please check whether some user exits/enhancements have been implemented for your standard program?
Also you can take help from ABAPed to check the program in debug mode for such behaviour.  Even after that if problem persists then you can call SAP on it.

  • Final settlement of Rebates

    Dear Members
When i record a rebate agreement in SAP 4.6C, then after the sales process-delivery , billing and account determination i am able to do both Partial (manual ) and Final settlements.
But in 4.7, for final settlement system shows the message" Sales volumes are not Current" and suggest that i need to use OSS note for correcting this. Do i have to activate any info-structure
    Please suggest me right solution
    Thanks in advance

    Narasimha

    Hi,
Usually this message would come if rebate agreement is created retroactively. That means that a rebate agreement is created for which the validity start date lies in the past.
Try running the VBOF transaction code for the agreement number for which sales volume needs to be updated.
Enter the validity date as 31.12.9999
    Enter the sales area.
    Posting date as today's date.
Check Error flag box and choose Drill down processing.
    Uncheck the control boxes.
    Try if this helps you.

    Hi,
To execute manual partial settlements, select:

Change the Agreement status field to B.
Choose Create manual accrual or press Shift+F12.
    2. Save the document. The credit memo request document is generated
    automatically.
    3. Find and record the number of the credit memo request created from the
    agreement.
Select Rebate payments → Rebate documents.
    Select Partial settlement.
    Click Choose.
View the credit memo request number.
    4. Release the billing block on the credit memo request and save your changes.

  • Vendor Return process in case of Import Goods (Excisable)

Can anyone provide me the complete process details with configuration in case of Return of Import Goods to Vendor?
The scenario is we have received the goods from an overseas Vendor by availing the benefit of CVD and we have made payment to the Vendor. Now the goods need to be returned back to the Vendor overseas.
    Thanks in advance

Import Vendor return is like re export from business point of view.
You can follow export sales process in sap.
What i suggest is for example if it is raw material you can create a bom with parent material as X-01,child material as Y what
    you are returning to vendor.
Note: Create parent material as HALB with sales view & accounting view with valuation of raw material.
Do production goods receipt,it willl bring stock to parent material.
    Create customer for vendor.
    Adopt export sales process,create a sales order,delivery,billing,invoice,excise invoice,ARE1.
Note : Discuss with FI consultant/core team take care of accounting effects in billing.
Clear balances for customer or vendor using F-53 or F-58.
Note : You need to tell excise/submit documents telling it is not actual export.
    or
If you opt for purchasing route, then there is lot of customs formalities to be completed & also need to pay duties taken credit, depends on value of goods if it is high, you can opt for import vendor returns or ask vendor for debit memo which will be adjusted with future purchases against same vendor
    I also asked same question in forum, refer link for solution [ Import material - Vendor returned(Indian scenario)  |Import material - Vendor returned(Indian scenario);

  • Final settlement Business Process Procedure

    Hello Experts
I have done the configuration for the final settlement in IMG. But i need to know the business process procedure for the final settlement. Anyone with an idea please help me on this business process.
    Regards
    David

    Hi David,
please refer to the F1 documentation of the field settlement typ in the selection screen of transaction RESRSE.
    Final settlement
During final settlement, the system settles those real estate contracts that are defined as having a final settlement period (in their settlement frequency). Final settlement is performed to make adjustments to a standard settlement that are necessary due to certified sales reports.
Hope this information is helpful for you.

  • Return process in Scheduling agreement and correction delivery creation

    Hi Experts,
    I have couple of Questions:
    1) I want to know the return process in case of scheduling agreement, how exactly we should go about it.
    2) Regarding creation correction deliveries in the scheduling agreements.
I enter in a valid scheduling agreement number into transaction VA32, click the "JIT DlSch" button, click "Corr. Delivery" button and then enter in a date and quantity.
After I hit "Save" button, I am taken back to the initial VA32 screen and see the following message...
Sched. Agr. w/ Rel. ####### has been saved (no delivery created)
    Message no. V1261
Does anybody have any insight to why this is happening? Thanks in advance.
    Sourabh

Whether it is a scheduling agreement or sale order, in case of returns, you need to generate the following:-
    a)  Return Sale order or scheduling agreement referencing the parent billing document
    b)  Return delivery if goods are taken back in parent plant via VL01N
    c)  Credit note to customer via VF01
    d)  Excise credit via J1IH
Last but not least, please spell the name correctly.
    thanks

  • Manual accruals/ Partial settlement in rebates

    Hi,
I have following questions sinc eiam doing rebates for first time.
    1)  in the billing document, the rebates are calculated as per the the accrual rates in rebates condition records. My question if the invoice is for Rs 100 and accrual rebate amt in invoice is rs 2. will the customer pay Rs 98 against this invoice of full Rs 100.
    2) what happens during manual accruals.  why a credit memo request is generated during manual accruals. what happens to accruals as per condition records.
    3) what happens during partial settlement. do the accruals already poested gets reduced to the extent of amount of partial settlement. do manaul accruals have any role to play during partial settlement
    4) what happens during final settlement. do manual accruals have any role to play during final settlement i.e. do they get reversed and what happens to accurals posted as per  rebate conditon records.
    regards
    sachin

    Dear Sachin,
    1) in the billing document, the rebates are calculated as per the the accrual rates in rebates condition records. My question if the invoice is for Rs 100 and accrual rebate amt in invoice is rs 2. will the customer pay Rs 98 against this invoice of full Rs 100.
Ans --> Customer need to pay Rs 100 only , rebate amount will paied to the customer after completion of the rebate duration in between there will be partial settlement.
    2) what happens during manual accruals. why a credit memo request is generated during manual accruals. what happens to accruals as per condition records.
    Ans--> Manual Accruals
    Use
Posting accruals manually can be useful in different situations such as:
    Lump sum payments
    Accruals correction
You can control at which time and for which amount the accruals should be posted.
You can build accruals for a particular condition record or reverse them in part or in full.
When you save the rebate agreement, the system will automatically create a credit memo request. The system uses this document to create a credit memo. When the credit memo is released, the accruals are posted to FI.
If you have posted accruals manually, but these have not been passed on to financial accounting, the manual accruals and manual payments in the rebate agreement are blocked.
    3) what happens during partial settlement. do the accruals already poested gets reduced to the extent of amount of partial settlement. do manaul accruals have any role to play during partial settlement
    Ans->Partial Settlement
    Use
You can also partially settle a rebate agreement during its validity period. The amount to be paid can be limited in Customizing for Sales. Payments can be:
limited to the cumulative accruals of the condition record
limited to the amount that would be paid if final settlement were presently carried out
    unlimited
You carry out partial settlement by using the manual payment screen within rebate agreement processing. On this screen you can specify the amount to be paid for each condition record.
The system will automatically create a credit memo request for the amounts specified.
It will also reverse the accruals with the credit memo if the rebate agreement type is configured accordingly. If the payment exceeds the recordu2019s accumulated accruals, the system will only reverse the accruals which are actually there.
The system gives you the opportunity to carry out additional partial settlements when previous partial settlements remain open in the form of credit memo requests or credit memos. The system always takes open documents into account when determining the maximum amount which you can pay.
When the system carries out final settlement for a rebate agreement, it takes all partial payments into account.
    4) what happens during final settlement. do manual accruals have any role to play during final settlement i.e. do they get reversed and what happens to accurals posted as per rebate conditon records.
    Ans-->Final settlement
    Use
When you carry out final settlement of a rebate agreement, the system automatically
calculates the rebate based on the sales volume statistics or the lump sum
    deducts any previously paid rebates
It then creates a credit memo request, and proposes the end date of the agreement validity period as the billing date.
The system also reverses any accruals that have been posted.
Depending on Customizing, when the system creates a credit memo request, the document is automatically blocked for billing. After approving the credit memo request, the person responsible can remove the billing block. You can then create the final credit memo.
When you want to search for credit memo requests during sales order processing, you can use the matchcode F "Credit memo request for rebate".
You can carry out final settlement of rebate agreements
    automatically
    Manually
as a background task (in batch)
    Settling Single Rebate Agreements
You can carry out settlement directly from within a rebate agreement.
Before you save the rebate agreement you can still carry out changes to the credit memo request:
The credit memo request is only saved when you save the rebate agreement.
Carrying out Final Settlement as a Background Task
If the volume of your sales rebate processing is high, you can collectively process rebate settlements as a background task.
    The following reports are available:
    RV15C001
    RV15C002
Your system administrator can use these reports to generate a list of rebate agreements, based on various selection criteria, such as rebate recipient, status of the agreement, and so on.
Background processing can then be carried out later. I.e., after the regular posting periods.
After a list is generated, the rebate agreements can be analyzed or processed for payment.
For more information about settling rebates as a background task, see your system administrator.
I hope it will help you,
    Regards,
    Murali.

  • Rebate Agreement's final settlement includes invoices already processed

    Hello,
I've been testing rebate agreement functionality and I'm facing this issue:
If I define a rebate agreement for a customer just for this day and post two invoices, this invoices are referred to the agreement. After this I do the final settlement for this agreement, credit memo is posted and everything is ok.
Then I define another agreement for the same customer and just for this day again. The next invoice I post is referred to this new agreement. But the problem is that once I do the final settlement of this second agreement it includes the invoices of the first agreement.
I need to know if there is something I've been missing?

  • Return process in Warehouse mangement

    Hi all,
can any one telll me the steps involved in the return process in Warehouse Management.
    Waiting for UR early reply.
    With Rgd
    Vinod

    Everything starts in inventory management.
once the goods movement is posted in IM, then you get the stock into the interim storage type in WM. at the same time you should get a transfer request which need to be converted into a transfer order to move the material into its final bin.
In case of a customer return:
CSR will enter a return order.
then a return delivery is created.
Then post goods receipt is done in reference to the delvery.
you get stock into the interim bin
convert the TR to a TO and confirm the movement.
then in inventory management a transfer posting is done to change stock status from return to own stock.
at the same time you get a transfer posting request in WM, which you can process with LU04 transaction, to get the status in IM and WM in sync.
finally or somewhere between in this process the CSR issues a credit note to the customer.

could you please advise how to customize automatic Invoice creation after the Final Settlement.
Now when we press final settlement in COCKPIT (or in Fast Entry) transaction we have new sales order for return (in case of return), then delivery for this order and posting GI for the delivery but we cannot achieve Invoice creation. In settlement log we can see Area: Invoices but they are missing there and system does not try create invoice.

    Hello,
could you please check object /DSD/TOUR if it is useful for this?
    This is for TOUR STATUS..
For each activity, there will be dedicated status determined by the system??
check with your DSD functional consultant (on customization), to identify the status in which authorization needs to be blocked..

  • Return process in Third Party system

    Dear Friends,
Please suggest me the complete process of return under Third Party Order system, with T codes and paths,
    Regards,
    Atul

    Hi ATul
Officially the return process is not supported by standard SAP ERP system for the third-party process. This functionality was never designed and is not supported.
The note 751609 is the official statement of SAP to this problem.
But any return goods to vendor from customer can be settled through credit notes.
The process is to first pass a credit memo to Vendor and after the process the with reference to Sales order a third party credit memo can be issued to customer
    Hope this will help you.
    Regards
    Ramesh
