RPM Portal : translate in different language

Dear Gurus
On RPM Portal I see different languages : English and Italian.
For example when I enter in a item XXXXX I see most of the things in English but something in Italian for example:
Type of item  : Bozza?!
status of Decision point: in preparazione?
My RPM Portal is in English but the values seem to be taken from customizing in Italian. I have made complete customizing in English.
I also checked in customizing but all seem ok , I check system user to call Backend system and it is ok.
This problem happens from the Copy DB from PRD to QAS .
In SVI &PRD systems  all ok but in QAS no.
Any idea about this?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards
Vanessa

  • Selection Text Translation to different Languages

    Hi Gurus,
    How can i translate the texts to different languages for selection screen of a program and how can i transport the same to next systems.
    Moderator message: standard functionality, often discussed, well documented, please search before asking, @all others: please do not reply to such questions, you know they will be locked!

    You can translate selection texts of a program two ways
    - [SE38|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/EN/d7/c4673cffbb4c34e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm] - menu : goto, translation
    - [SE63|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/46/3892c1be5c1ea9e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm] - menu : translation, short texts, ABAP, Program texts
    Be aware that some texts use ddic definition of data element, so the texts of the underlying data-elements must also be translated (if they are not already)
    - SE11 - menu : goto, translation
    - SE63 - menu : translation, short texts, ABAP Dictionnary, Data element

  • Using Captivate 5.5 can I translate to different languages?

    I Use Adobe Captivate 5.5 to make tutorials for online training. I am wondering if it is possible to also translate into other languages? Is there another piece or add-on I can get to do this?

    This is my work flow when I have to translate captions/CC:
    Save the file under a new name (maybe with new language mentioned)
    Export captions to Word, do not change its name nor the name of the cptx-file when you have exported
    You get everything in two columns, translate the second column
    Import again in the cptx-file. I will set captions to have size adapting automatically because text can be very different in length.
    There is a similar XML work flow as well.

  • Xmlp reports in different languages using XLIFF translation

    We are doing xmlp reports in different languages using XLIFF translation and it is working fine. But for Arabic and Japanese pdf reports printing “????” instead off Arabic and Japanese. Upgraded Adobe Acrobat Reader to 7.0 and down loaded languages support updates but its still not working.
    Are we missing anything?

    Hi,
    I am also facing the same issue. I am also getting "????" instead of Hebrew translation. I am trying to generate PDF file using the XMLP API. It works fine when tried to generate from MS Word using the "Preview Translation" option.
    Please let me know is there any configuration parameters that need to be set.

    Hi All
    how can I translate the customer name in different languages.
    I tried to look in XD02 with no seccessed
    Please Help
    Thanks in Advance Kobi

    Hi Kobi,
    We cannot translate the customer name in differnt languages.
    if you want to create the customer in differnt languages first you should have the Access to Particular Languages that you are going to use in your Key board.at the time of  loging to the system you suppose to use that particular language after mentioning your user id and password.
    Please reward points if really helpful,

  • Adobe Form translation in to different languages

    Hi All,
    Can you please guide me through the procedure/process of "how to translate Adobe forms in to a different languages".
    Thanks.

    There are two methods to translate any Adobe form.
    First method :
    login to the target language
    Go to SFP --> enter the form name
    Click on Change
    Click on Goto -> translation
    Original language will be autopopulated. Enter the target language in which you want the texts to be translated into., eg FR (French) and enter
    You will see the tree for translation objects. Expand the package name and then PDFB. Under PDFB you will find your form name --> Double Click.
    A translation editor will open up.
    Navigate to Object Menu --> Copy Source text.
    The entire XML for the form will be copied in the target language window with all static text literals highlighted in blue.
    Replace the english text (blue text) with the French text ( target language text) and save.
    Thats all. The form will be now translated, run the application and provide the target language in the URLis the target language.. sap-language=FR
    Also there is Second method.:
    1)You have to create the form in target language and attach in webdynpro layout as your original language
    2)In the context of the view define two new attributes (VISIBILE and VISIBILE_FR ) with type as "WDUI_VISIBILITY"
    3 )Now in webdynpro layout attach this form same as your English form and bind the visible property of interactive forms( both EN and FR form)  with the VISIBILE and VISIBILE_FR   attributes respectively.
    4) Now through any initial method you can set the value of VISIBILE =u2019 02 u2018and VISIBILE_FR =u2019 01u2019 for English form to visible and vice versa for Fr form
    Choose the convenient option .

  • Translate your website into different languages

    Well,
    i wanted to have my website available in different languages.
    (Eg. mandarin, french, japanese, german...).
    I heard that there is coding sample available on the internet that show you a sample of how to code out the translating tool, to be used. Or did anyone of you here knows the way?
    Axile

    Hi Robert,
    I have property files Inter.properties,Inter_en.properties in WEB-INF/classes .
    In web.xml :
    <context-param>
    <param-name>
    javax.servlet.jsp.jstl.fmt.LocalizationContext
    </param-name>
    <param-value>
    Inter
    </param-value>
    </context-param>
    Test.jsp:
    <%@ taglib prefix="fmt" uri="http://java.sun.com/jstl/fmt" %>
    <fmt:setBundle basename="Inter" var="Inter" scope="session"/>
    When I try to execute the jsp file I receive the following message:
    type Exception report
    message Internal Server Error
    description The server encountered an internal error (Internal Server Error) that prevented it from fulfilling this request.
    exception
    javax.servlet.ServletException: An error occurred while evaluating custom action attribute "bundle" with value "Inter": Attempt to convert String "Inter" to type "javax.servlet.jsp.jstl.fmt.LocalizationContext", but there is no PropertyEditor for that type
    What is wrong with my settings?
    I think that in web.xml :
    <param-value>
    Inter
    </param-value>
    is the problem.
    Thanks
    Daniel
    the proper way is to use tags for this. proceeding:
    get you a copy of the JSTL (jsp standard template
    library).
    define a property file for each language like you do
    for any resource bundle, e.g. text.properties,
    text_en.properties, text_en_US.properties etc. and put
    it to your java class files in the web application
    (i.e. WEB-INF/classes or
    WEB-INF/lib/your_archive.jar).
    define an initialization parameter in web.xml with
    param-name
    "javax.servlet.jsp.jstl.fmt.localizationContext" and
    param-value that points to the properties file
    (without the extension)
    then use the tag lib in your jsp's and use tag
    "message" to return the message texts. you should set
    the current user's or session's Locale. this is an
    example include file that you should statically
    include in every jsp:<%@ taglib
    uri="/WEB-INF/c.tld" prefix="c" %>
    <%@ taglib uri="/WEB-INF/fmt.tld" prefix="fmt" %>
    <c:if test="${ ( ! empty user ) && ( ! empty
    user.locale ) }">
    <fmt:setLocale value="${ user.locale }"/>
    </c:if>this snippet assumes there is typically
    a bean "user" in the session, which has a property
    "locale" that returns a java.util.Locale.

  • One of the posts that I responded to had the date in a different language. Is this normal: "Posted 2010 Mumu-Ɔpɛnimba 15 08:37:44 -0800:" I would have thought my Mozilla Firefox Options Settings to "English" would have translated it? Am I correct?

    [http://i610.photobucket.com/albums/tt190/Mccc/Date.jpg]

    The language the dates are displayed in depends upon the link. For example with this thread, to display dates in English the link is https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/770762
    It appears that you accessed the thread that you originally replied on with it set to the Akan language, this thread in Akan is https://support.mozilla.com/ak/questions/770762
    This can happen if the post was found using a search engine. For some languages the whole site will display in the different language, not just the dates.

  • Different Languages in URL-iView in EP7 SPS11

    Hi there,
    we create some URL-iViews and want to implement some other URL´s for different languages. But there is a problem:
    SAPPortal knows only English, German, French , Internet Explorer 6 and 7 knows different languages for German, English etc.
    English
    Portal , IE6 ,[EN-US],[EN-AU]
    German
    Portal , IE6 ,
    etc.
    Problem is, that different users in UK or USA can´t get different URL´s, because portal only knows the languagecode but not the extensions
    Does anybody know,how to patch this bug, or SAP knows his bug?

  • Performance Management in three Different Languages

    Hello Gurus,
           My client wants to implement Performance appraisals in three different languages, English, German and Japanies. As for as I know we can set blank in JCO  language setting so employees in German and Japan can use their own languages. What else I need to be aware of? Please advice.
    Regards
    Francis.

    these language should be available ! What you can do is login as the german user and verify if they get in german or not
    Note that languages are picked from users portal settings or browser, read the note
    First of all, please  distinguish between template name and document
    name.What you see in T:cd PHAP_ADMIN is appraisal document name, once it
    will be created it will be defaulted by the template name of the
    current logon language (see BADI 'HRHAP00_DOC_DEF_DN') This means that
    in general you'll see the template name as the document name. But
    changes/translating template names won't have any effect to the shown
    document name.
    Documents are user/appraise specific and therefore each document could
    have its own document name which can be changed e.g. via PHAP_ADMIN,
    but it could not translated automatically, this is our standard design
    which has been confirmed with our development team.
    For a more automatic way for getting the translated template names as
    documents names you may use the SAVE-BAdI 'HRHAP00_DOC_SAVE'. Within
    this BAdI you could read the different translations of your template and
    write them all except of the logon-language into the HRHAP_T (table with
    names of the document) if mode='N' (New/Create document). So next time
    you login in a different language the system will find the corresponding
    document (template) name in the right language.

  • HCM Absence  types- need to display in different languages in the same country based on user language preference

    Hi
    We are implementing in Belgium where we need to have absence in both dutch and French for the different user sets. Is there anyway to set up one absence type but have the different translations for the different user groups.  There was a document ID 1619320.1 that referred to the fact that if the absences were created  by a seedfile then they would be translated. Has anyone come across this issue whereyou need to display the same absence type for more than one language in the same country and how did you do this or did you have to set up separate absence types in the different languages which I do not want to do
    thanks

    Hi Parker
    If you are using Captivate 4 multi languages is a
    posibility..
    Set a User Variable to pass the language you want to a Flash
    SWF whic is embeded (This can play and hold multiple audio tracks).
    For example Captivate 4 will pass "french" to the embeded flash SWF
    which will play the "french" track.
    OR
    you could just use branching ;)
    Cheers.. Aquil0

  • Sapscript: Print different languages

    Dear all,
    We have the following issue I need your help on:
    We have an offer, which has to be printed in Chinese and English. For printing we use the Sapscript forms ...
    Here is the current coding for printing (SE71):
    - Chinese: Printout is in Chinese and correct
    /:         ADDRESS PARAGRAPH T2 LINES 8
    /:           ADDRESSNUMBER &VBDKA-ADRNR(K)&
    /:           COUNTRY 'CN' LANGUAGE 'C'
    /:           LANG_FOR_COUNTRY 'X'
    /:           FROMCOUNTRY &VBDKA-SLAND&
    /:         ENDADDRESS
    - Englisch: Printout of customer address is shown as ##### even we print the output type in English and there is an English language maintained in SD and customer master data
    /:         ADDRESS PARAGRAPH T2 LINES 8
    /:           ADDRESSNUMBER &VBDKA-ADRNR(K)&
    /:           FROMCOUNTRY &VBDKA-SLAND&
    /:         ENDADDRESS
    The customer master data in VD03 is in English and Chinese as "Internat. Version".
    Please can you help us how the coding should look like, so the same output type can be printed in Chinese with Chinese letters and English with Latin letters.
    I've read through some other related topics and it seems like the device type is also relevant if the printing of different languages is supported or not!?
    Does someone know the correct device type? We currently use the following: PDFUC.
    By the way: In our user exit we also have implemented an user exit with the following function ....
    * China:
      ELSEIF destination_country_fields-intca = 'CN'.
         IF sender_country_fields-intca = 'CN'.
    * China -> China: Version C (if maintained, otherwise version SPACE)
          version_key = 'C'.
         ELSE.
    * from elsewhere -> China: International (if maintained)
           version_key = 'I'.
         ENDIF.
    --> This user exit shows, that we can't print the English characters since it's always pulls the Chinese ADRNR.
    Do you have an idea how we can adapt the program or user exit so we also can print the form in English, even parts goes CN to CN.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Andreas,
    you just have to make sure, that the device-type support the character-set. This is located in TA SPAD and there you go to the device-type.
    but that is a basis-thing.
    Additional to that it necessary to call the form in the correct language in such specific cases.
    To solve this issue go to SE63 and translate it to chinese.
    Now, if you got a chinese customer, call the form for the chinese output and if you got the english call the EN-Output.
    To connect both forms together you can use the START_FORM/ END_FORM functionstones. It is located in the same functiongroup.
    OR
    An easy try and error thing would be to set the country before printing the address.
    /: SET COUNTRY CN
    /:         ADDRESS PARAGRAPH T2 LINES 8
    /:           ADDRESSNUMBER &VBDKA-ADRNR(K)&
    /:           FROMCOUNTRY &VBDKA-SLAND&
    /:         ENDADDRESS
    SET COUNTRY <Yourpreferredcountry>
    This takes affect also at the outputdevice-type to refer to the correct language-settings.
    It is just an idea which come during writing my answer. I never faced something like that, but I can imagine, that this could be a also an easy to go solution.
    Hope that gives you a solution for your problem.
    ~Florian

  • I installed Reader (in English) and it prints in a different language

    I installed Reader [01/03/2010,in English] and it prints in a different language/garble.
    I received a hospital appointment email with an attachment confirming my next day's appointment.
    The attachment confirms place and time with a barcode to be scanned upon arrival at the hospital's kiosk.
    So far all is good but, when I print the attachment it looks similar in format but is garbled.
    It does not appear to be a translation to a foreign language but rather a series of random letters and symbols.
    Examples:
    Time:      prints out as; Ujn f ;       Provider:prints out as: Qspwjef s ; Location: prints out as: Mpdbyjo
    09:00AM   "     "   ;    1: ; 11BN      Not only are the letters garbled but they are merged
    I don't know what's wrong or how to fix it. My question is "What I Gotta Do?" HELP!

    It "could" have something to do with improper embedding of the fonts used in the document. Reader is substituting for a different font which as you can see, rarely works.
    One thing you can try is in the print menu find the option to "print as image" and see if that works.
    If it doesn't, there isn't really anything you can do except to contact the folks that made the PDF and request that they embed all fonts.

  • Texts in method in different languages

    Hi,
    I have a report which generates a string in different languages depending on the selection input.
    I have translated the texts in method (for example text-t01) from original language EN to Chineese ZH.
    When the user is logged into the system using EN language, I use SET LOCALE LANGUAGE ZH, then
    I read the texts which are in Chineese which is correct, then I switch back to SET LOCALE LANGUAGE EN.
    But the texts afterwards are still retrieved in Chineese language.
    Thank you for the help!
    Best Regards

    Hi,
    Once we translate the texts from source language EN to target language <anything>, then when we login to the client with that target language , the text will be seen in the target language only...if we login with EN it will show in English langugae...
    either SE63 or from the menu->translation in se38(for programs).

  • Not able to Export sap script with RSTXSCRP in different languages IT,ES

    Hi all,
      I am trying to export sap script to local file using this program RSTXSCRP, but it's working fine for English but not other languages like IT,ES and DA. Even if i specify parameter in selection screen Language vector as IT. It's not exporting code from sap script for IT language. By default it's exporting only EN.
    Can you please tell me what I have to do to export sap script  from different language.
    Thank you.

    Hi!
    For Translating you can do it by
    Going in transaction SE63 -> Translation -> Abap objects -> Other Long Texts -> FS Forms and Styles.
    There you have to enter client and form name source lang. and target lang.
    Then you export it with the program RSTXSCRP in the language u have translated....
    As you have form created in English and  you can download and upload it in only  English .
    Regards.
