Runtime argument error issues

Hello All, I am having some connection issues with the NetStream and NetConnection classes in my application.
I am trying to connect to my webcam via Adobe Media Server so I can publish audio, video and other forms of data to Flash Media Server. Before I run my application I listen for the statusevent and its work fine!
However, when I attempt to publish I get this error in the output:
ArgumentError: Error #2126: NetConnection object must be connected.
        at flash.net::NetStream/ctor()
        at flash.net::NetStream()
I have everything setup:
var nc:NetConnection = new NetConnection();
nc.addEventListener(NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS, netStatus);
nc.connect("rtmfp://localhost/streamCam"); and I try localhost for rtmfp
var ns:NetStream = new NetStream(nc);
ns.publish("myStream", "live");
ns.addEventListener(NetStatusEvent.NET_STATUS, netStatus);
function netStatus(event:NetStausEvent):void{
switch(event.info.code){
case "NetConnection.Connect.Success":
trace("Connecting up");
break;
case "NetConnection.Connect.Failed":
trace("Unable to connect to FMS");
break;
case "NetConnection.Connect.Rejected":
trace("Whooops");
break;
I don't know where the problem is. Can anyone shed any light on this?

    For general advice see Troubleshooting issues with iTunes for Windows updates.
    The steps in the second box are a guide to removing everything related to iTunes and then rebuilding it which is often a good starting point unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach. Review the other boxes and the list of support documents further down page in case one of them applies.
    Your library should be unaffected by these steps but there is backup and recovery advice elsewhere in the user tip.

  • Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error in T430S during HP printer install

    I just bought a T430S Windows 8 and I'm having problems installing the software and drivers for my HP Photosmart D-110-a printer. I've owned the printer for a year and it was no problem installing the software that it came with on my previous Dell Windows 7. Every time I try to install from the CD-Rom or download the software from HP, I get a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library Error message. Please someone help!
    By the way, I am able to print to the machine because I think HP printer driver was preloaded on the Start screen from Lenovo. Is it possible the reason why I can't install the software that the my HP printer came with, is because HP driver was preloaded? The issue of not being able to install the full software, is that I can't monitor ink levels or scan items from the computer.

    It looks to me like HP never made a windows8 driver for that printer. You might read this:

  • Invalid Argument Error

    I am getting above error on load of the JNLP file. When I access the URL for the JNLP, the JNLP file downloads (I can see the content using Ethereal) and WebStart does launch. So, I assume MIME type is OK and the download servlet is working, at least enough to serve up the JNLP.
    What makes this more curious is that it is a working configuration in Jetty. I can take the exact same application - drop it in Jetty, it works; drop the SAME file in Tomcat 4.1.27, it doesn't work.
    Anyone seen this?
    WS 1.2
    J2SDK 1.4.1_01 on both ends.
    Tomcat 4.1.27
    The error and log information is as follows.
    Error dialog/General Tab:
    An error occurred while launching/running the application.

    TIA,
    Mike

    I just found out by searching tomcat list that in your
    dynamic jnlp file you can set the cache-control to
    public using
    response.setHeader("Cache-Control", "public")
    This will allow Internet Explorer to cache the jnlp
    file and you won't get the exception.
    This way you can keep your jnlp file under a security
    constraint.I wasn't sure what was meant by "dynamic JNLP" or how to follow the above procedure, so I created a servlet (a JSP, actually) to implement the above workaround. It will serve JNLP files from a password-protected directory in a way that works for the Tomcat-to-Internet Explorer combination. It's posted below in case it can help anyone else.
    There are still a few things to watch out for: (1) the protection (the <auth-method> tag in your web.xml file) for the JNLP file must be BASIC--FORM will not work. (2) you will have to enter the password twice--once for the browse and again for Web Start.
    The servlet itself is enclosed below. If you have questions about it, please post them to this forum.

  • Repair runtime c   error in Itunes

    when I updated Itunes, I got a Runtime C++ error and Itunes no longer works. I've unintalled, then reinstalled from the website. Still nothing but the Runtime Error

    Hi,
    Thanks for getting back to me. I should've dont this first up, but i Googled my problem and i went to the following site:
    http://forums.techguy.org/multimedia/581031-itunes-runtime-error.html
    Which had the answer. So for those of you who have similar issues all you need to do to fix it is:
    1. Go to Start/All Programs
    2. Find Apple Software Update
    3. And then run.
    4. Restart your PC
    Once i did the above everything came up smelling of roses.
    Cheers!

  • Something is Causing ReaderX Update to C++ Runtime Library Error AdobeARM.exe

    Anytime Adobe Reader tries to update, on login, periodically, or manually the error Visual C++ Runtime Library Error appears. I am using Adobe Reader 10.1.1. I have tried letting Adobe regenerate the Adobe.ARM.exe file located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe. I am using Windows XP Professional SP3.
    This started when after it ran an automatic update it started to defrag that took way too long so I forced shutdown that obviously corrupted some file somewhere which leads to this error. In a new Windows profile the error is not present but I am not willing just yet to move all of my files to a new user account because one third party application has a bug.

    Thanks for trying out the suggestion.
    Since, you mentioned that the issue is not reproducible when you switch to another account, could you try one more thing.
    1. Open Start > Run
    2. Type "%temp%"
    3. In the folder that appears, delete the following files: AdobeARM.log, AdobeARM_NotLocked.log, ARMUI.ini
    4. Try initiating an update transaction again from within Reader by clicking on Help > Check For Updates
    Hope this works.

  • Runtime Library Error message

    Am having issues with using Adobe Reader X. Have been getting the Runtime Library Error message box. What do I need to do to resolve this issue?

    Pat,
    Thank you for responding. The computer I'm having issues with is a Windows
    XP, SP2-SP3 system. It seems that the error message actually connects the
    problem to Internet Explorer. I by-passed IE and downloaded Firefox and
    Adobe Reader seems to be running fine now through Firefox.

  • MM-Exporter gives Runtime 5 error; Cannot open or back up DW files

    Greetings -
    I have relied on and been very grateful for this wonderful
    freeware program for quite some time and now have the above problem
    that just began yesterday.
    I have tried installing over the program, then uninstalling
    it & reinstalling it, then downloading and installing the
    recent newer version, 2.3.3. No difference, no improvement.
    It won't open, gives a short German message, and gives the
    Runtime 5 error. Seems like one other time the language flipped to
    German, but I reinstalled it and it went back to English.
    I am trying this forum with hopes someone is familiar with
    this issue, because I saw that this same question came up on the
    MM-Exporter English forum in Sept & Dec 05 but no responses
    were offered to the users' requests for help.
    Thank you in advance for any suggestions that can cure this
    problem from Catherine.

    MM-Exporter was updated this past week. Have you installed

  • Bex Designer 3.5: An unexpected 'invalid procedure call or argument' error

    Hi,
    Our Bex environment has both 3.5 and 7.0 queries and objects.
    Recently Bex Query Designer 3.5 started crashing when we expand on the Restricted Key Figures. It works fine in 7.0 designer. And, expanding the Calculated Key Figures works fine in both 3.5 and 7.0
    It only happens on 1 multiprovider, which has more than 100 RKFs.
    The error message is: An unexpected 'invalid procedure call or argument' error occured in wdbrlog.
    On clicking Continue, the next message is: Run-time error '-2147221499 (80040005)'; Fatal Error - Terminating
    The same error is happening in Test, UAT and Production environments for this 1 multiprovider.
    I resinstalled Business Explorer client software, but no change.
    Any suggestions on how to fix or approach fixing this?
    Thanks!

    Problem was resolved by opening a note with SAP. Their response is pasted below:
    "The problem has been solved. The reason for the termination in Query Designer was actually the fact the one Restricted Key Figure somehow has lost it's technical name.
    The problematic object is RKF SAP Plan Value (4L9J85WYTCFK4DEA63PD2R4V7)The user given name of this object was not available in the database table RSZCOMPDIR and was actually required in the Query Designer. The application was not able to create a tree of expanded RKFs having no technical names.
    In general, this error can be fixed by the special check program analyze_rsz_tables which is supposed to try to find out this missing technical name. But in this particular case the repair procedure in the program has failed as no traces or information what this missing name could be was available. Therefore I just fixed this issue manually by entering a new technical name for this object."
