  • Sales Analysis by Item Group (Monthly) - To include Sales Employee Name

    Hi,
    I have added Sales Employee Name in the Sales Analysis by Item Group (Monthly) report by A/R Invoices. I have added this under Repetitve Area Header0. However, the sales employee name showed in the preview is different than the criteria entered.  It seems that the report only the first Sales Employee Name in the report.
    Anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance

    That is a good question.  You have to find out any unique relationships between your Sales Employee and your sales analysis data if there is. Hope the help below can assist you:
    Relate to
    This option is relevant for special scenarios only and requires knowledge of SQL.
    This field is used for retrieving data related to key records found in tables other than the table linked as default to the current print template.
    A key record is a field used as a primary key in a certain table. This key record functions as the identifier of the record, and, therefore, it is required to retrieve any additional data related to it.
    Following is an example:
    e.g.If you need to print the name of a certain bank, which is not linked to the table used in the current print template, you must first create a Text field of Database source type using the required table and select a key record, such as Bank Code.
    Then, you need to create an additional Text field of Database source type. Select the table again, select the required column (such as Bank Name), and enter the unique ID of the field with the key record in the Relate to field.
    There might be two or more key records in the same table. In such a case, these two key records are both required for retrieving the data.
    Identical bank codes are used in many countries. If you need to print the name of a specific bank, you need to link it to a relevant country, in addition to its relevant bank code.
    You are currently working on a print template for Incoming Payments. However, you need to retrieve data (such as the business partner's bank name) linked to the key record Bank Code from the Bill of Exchange for Payment table, rather than from the Incoming Payments table.
    In the Relate to field, select the unique ID of the field containing the required key record. In this example, this is a Text field of Database source type containing Bill of Exchange for Payment in the Table field and BP Bank Country in the Column field. The drop-down list contains the unique IDs of all the fields that are situated in the same area as the current field.
    This link makes the system retrieve the Bank Code linked to the BP Bank Country field found in the Bill of Exchange for Payment table.

  • Sales Analysis report does not match Cost of Sales Account

    My client is running SAP B1 8.81 PL 6.  He has set all items to standard costing method.  He has discovered that the difference between the Sales Amount and the Gross Profit amount on the Sales Analysis report, which should equal the Cost of Sales for the Items, does not match the Cost of Sales G/L account on the P&L report.  If you look at a sample of rows, the above difference divided by the quantity equals the standard cost of the item.  There are no manual journal entries that affect the COS account for the posting period that is being analyzed.  I cannot see any mathmatical difference or problem with the above analysis, nor can I find the problem.  There is about an $85K difference between the reports.  The Sales Amount on the Sales Analysis report matches the revenue account on the P&L to the penny.  Has anyone ever compared these 2 reports?  Thank you for your help.

    If you right click on an Invoice and choose "Gross Profit" it will give you a setting on how you want to calculate the Gross Profit for that invoice.
    In the accounting point of view the "Base Price" should be "Item Cost" so that the Gross Profit will be (Net Selling Price - Item Cost = Gross Profit). This will give you the same Gross Profit amount between P and L and Sales Analysis Report.
    However, SAP B1 gives the user the ability to select a different base price other than the Item Cost.
    This gives the user the flexibility for the Sales Report. Example (Net Sales Price - Vendor Sales Price = Gross Profit). People do this sometimes because  the item's cost fluctuates if you use FIFO or average cost and they want a uniform cost to calculate their Gross Profit.
    In summary if the Base Price is not set to "Item Cost" then there will be difference in the Gross Profit between the P and L and Sales Analysis Report.

  • Sales Analysis by Item: Show all items

    I am trying to look for a way to get a report that will show me the Sales Analysis by item, but show me all the items even if the item wasn't sold to any Business partner.
    Example:
    I have the following items and sales for today:
    Item A, invoice $100
    Item B, Invoice $200
    Item C, no sales
    Item D, Invoice $500
    If I run the sales analysis by item they will show me
    Item A, $100
    Item B, $200
    Item D, $500
    but I want to show it
    Item A, $100
    Item B, $200
    Item C, $0
    Item D, $500
    Please let me know if there is a way or a queries that I can do to get that result.

    Sales Analysis per item only display item with records.
    You can attain by creating a query to display your desired output.
    Please try to look in the forum for the sales report.
    example:

  • Inaccurate Sales Analysis Report

    Hi all
    Our client has requested an option to print Sales Analysis result with a restriction to filter by types of credited Sales Revenue account.  Sometimes the Credited Sales account is not a genuine Sales account but other Freight Charges or Clearing account which has to be differentiated for reconciliation with General Ledger.

    This option is not available in SAP Busines One for the time being. We will consider it as a candidate for one of the next major released. Thank you.
    You may try to create own Sales Analysis report via Crystal Reports or adjust one of the available Sales Analysis XL Reporter templates to filer by G/L Accounts involved.

  • Sales Analysis on Item Delivery issue

    Hi Experts,
    I have another Issue regarding Deliveries at the same Client I posted this message on a few minutes ago:
    "Delivery Document not closed even though Invoice is linked"
    This issue relates to the Sales Analysis Report. When we open the Sales Analysis report on the Items Tab and select Monthly report, Delivery Notes, Individual Display and No Totals we get the report with 0 quantities for all the months selected even though there is deliveries for these items.
    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi Marli,
    Something must be wrong within the B1 database.  You may need to restore the latest copy of the db to do more testing.

    Hello Experts,
    Sorry for coming again with the same topic but as of now this is one of my biggest problem, just now i am doing year end stock check, GP check and other consolidation.
    Just need advice to rectify the error
    my Sales Analysis and PnL Figures are as follows :-
    Sales Analysis GP   ---   705870
    P n L GP                   ---   503588
    Nearly 2,00,000 difference
    My Stock valuation method : Standard Cost
    Can someone list out reason for the same so that i can run in right direction to rectify errors ??

    If i am in your position ,I will try this
    1. Find the item and quantity sold  that has gross profit 100%
    2 .Since my price is standard , I will multiply total qty * my actual price to find the total cost  .
    ( I will worry abt variance later
    3.Non inventory item donot hit OINM table ,so I will not be bothered to see it unless I found that items that are found in Sales Order belong to inventory group and still has gross profit hundred percent .
    4 . I will try to find out based on item through drag and relate and check why it is showing hundred percent by looking at GP button,
    You will still not get correct result , if your user has changed pricelist based on calculation .For example - you have set gross profit based on Item cost but some user change it to based on lst evaluated price by doing something or by accident .Then your GP on sales analysis is calculated based on Last evaluated price .You have to go and look who has changed it and how then ..just another time consuming process
    That's why I told you to find out major differnce and try to close the gap of GP diffference. This is only for your satisfaction ..this will let you know what is happening in your system ...

  • Sales Analysis with Customer Group Name

    Hi,
    Just want to know whether anyone knows how to add the Customer Group Name in SAP Standard Sales Analysis Report?
    I have tried to add in Sales Analysis layout designer, but the value reflected is not correct. E.g. when my customer group criteria is Retail group, but the report layout printed out is Corporate group.
    In layout designer, my source type = database, table = card groups, column = group name. Thanks.

    I have checked that Sales Analysis Report by Customer - Monthly and by Invoices - by Individual Display should be ok to bring the right group name based on your selection if you put the new field in the right place. (source type = database, table = card groups, column = group name)
    Where do you create this field? What is your B1 version and PL?

    Currently I try to run the sales analysis report by item with secondary selection on customer from & customer to.
    Is it possible for the layout to display the customer from & customer to.
    I try to look for the table name OFLT, but I cannot find it.
    My main concern is to display the customer name in the layout for sales analysis by item.

    Hi,
    The table OFLT stores selection criteria for all form. If there is no customer name/code in system PLD, it is very hard to find table or system variable.
    Tried to get customer name, not successful.
    Alternatively can try to create customized query to get additional field in sales analysis report.

    hello gurus
    I need some help with this pa configuration change. our office in india wants to amend the 2 characterictics in bold in pa transaction kea5. currently they look at origin table - customer master sales data. charac details below No other changes will be made

    business want to change these two characteristics from knvv to pick up the details from sales document order - table vbak for sales office and vbkd for sales district, so it matches with their mcsi. please note a number of changes are required on bw. But I am only concerned about pa changes, my colleagues will pick up bw changes.
    please can I get some help with this configuration task, as I've never configured pa - It appears to be more complexed than regular fico config. I believe it is a fairly small change via transaction kea5, is that correct
    please kindly provide the following information - 5 points below
    1. intend on deleting these two characteristics linked to knvv and then linking to vbak and vbkd respectively.
    2. the characteristice for vbak and vbkd already exist in config kea5, so I don't believe I need to recreate anything new, just pull in the fields, and link to the relevant characteristics.
    3. please can you confirm if I only need to amend kea5 to configure the above scenario? Or are there any other tables/areas in spro I need to amend.
    4. please can you provide me with step by step details on what I need to do to configure this new characteristic and scenario correctly.
    5. finally please can you provide me details of what testing I need to do to test this change.

    Thanks very much for your feedback. I have carried out your configuration via KEDR, and created the derivation rule. Is it really as straight forward and I dare not say that easy, to create a new characteristic value.
    Is there absolutely no additional configuration required via kea0 - Maintain Operating Concern or kea5 maintain characteristic values. I agree we have added this derivation rule and I can to some extent understand what we've done, but in kea5 and kea0, the old characteristic value and fields are still there - as detailed below. So it is still mapping to the old characteristic values, I can only assume this derivation rule overwrites what is in kae5 and kae0, is that correct.

    We can restrict customer for cash sales only.  configure following steps.
    1) SPRO>sd>sales>sales documents>define and assign reason for blocking : Define blocking reasons.
        eg: overall block.
    2) SPRO>sd>sales>sales documents>define and assign reason for blocking : Allocate blocking reasons to sales document types : Assign sales document types to your blocking reason except cash sale document type.
    3) Goto T.code XD05 : Enter the customer number and co.code and sales area details and choose enter
        Enter your blocking reason in order block field  for all sales areas or selcted sales area.

  • Error while posting Customer with Multiple sales areas using DEBMAS05.

    Dear experts,
    We are generating IDOCS vis SAP DS for posting Customer master. The message type used is DEBMAS and basic type is DEBMAS05.  we have a requirement to create 1 customer with multiple sales areas. However, we are ending up with a strange error:  "Fill all required fields SAPMF02D 0111 ADDR1_DATA-NAME1". Despite the IDOC going into status 51, the customer gets created and the 1st sales area too. the 2nd sales area however is not created!  The IDOC data definitely contains Name1, otherwise the customer would not have been created in the first place.
    As the error message is related to the Address data, I also explored upon exploring this erorr further on the lines of Central Address management where in the ADRMAS and DEBMAS have to be passed together(IDOC Serialiization).  OSS Note (384462)  provides further details about this. One Important point from the note is: 
    "As you have to specify the logical name of the sending system among other things, SAP is not able to make any default settings in the standard systems. When you use the serialization groups delivered as a standard by SAP, the address objects are imported before the master objects.Thus the sequence address data before master objects must only be adhered to if one of the following points applies to your application:
    Such fields are set as required entry fields that are only provided by the BAS in the Customizing of the customer or vendor master.
    For your customers, contact persons exist to which a private address or a different business address is assigned.".
    This is not the case in our situation, as we do not have required entry fields in customizing that are only provided by the BAS, so the error is all the more confusing and I am not too sure what the cause is.
    If someone have experienced the same issue before and have found a solution to it, kindly help out.

    I have found the cause and solution to this problem.
    This error ”Fill all required fields SAPMF02D 0111 ADDR1_DATA-NAME1” and other similar errors like “Fill all required fields SAPMF02D 0111 ADDR1_DATA-SORT1“ which occurrs during the IDOC posting when there are more than one sales area or company code occurs when the customer number range is set up for Internal numbering. This means, that the number gets generated only at the time of save and upon debugging the IDOC, we found out that after creating the customer and the first sales area/company code record, the segment E1KNA1M is cleared completely! This is the reason, it throws an error which points to a mandatory KNA1 field as missing. (Like NAME1, SORT1 etc.)
    This was resolved by splitting the IDOC into 2.
    The solution is to First post only the KNA1 segment and create the customer.
    In the second step, pass the IDOC with all other segments along with E1KNA1M, but pass only KUNNR in E1KNA1M and the rest of the fields in E1KNA1M as “/”:  you would have got the KUNNR after the first step.
    Important note: This requirement to split the IDOCs does not occur when the customer number is known upfront. (Meaning cases where the customer number is externally generated) I also tested this and created a customer with external numbering and I was able to post more than 1 sales area with the same IDOC. 
    I noticed multiple threads with the same issue, but none of it had a concrete answer. I hope this information will be useful for anyone facing similar problems.
