I am creating a sales order. Tax code is coming automatically in this sales order.
Which is the configuration triggering the automatic tax code in sales order?
please advise.

Cond. class           D         
Calculat.type         A
Cond.category      D
THEN SYSTEM WILL ASK FOR TAX CODE.
CHECK IF FOR ANY CONDITION TYPE YOU HAVE MAINTAINED THIS COMBINATION.
THEN YOU CAN CHECK IN THE CONDITION RECORDS WHETHER ANY TAX CODE HAS BEEN ASSIGNED THER OR NOT.

  • Sales Order Tax

    I am having difficulty in finding out how tax conditions are calculated in a sales order. For example I go into Analysis Pricing in a order and see tax conditions but cannot figure out where they are being calculated from and what access sequence is being used. Is there any difference on how normal conditions are setup and taxes are setup? I also notice some tax conditions are showing up twice or three times in analysis but only one has a value.

    Tax Is calculated by using following procedure...........
    Tax Determination is one of the SD - FI Integration.
    FI Team creates calculation procedure and assign this calculation procedure to Country key.
    They have to create Tax code by using transaction FTXP.
    Define Tax Determination Rules :
    You specify the valid tax types in transaction OVK1. More than one tax type can be defined for a country by defining the sequence.
    The SAP System determines the taxes automatically within pricing.
    In the standard SAP R/3 System, the elements of tax calculation are predefined (for example, tax condition type "MWST" for taxes on sales and purchases).
    Assign the plant for Tax Determination in OX10, using the country key, the SAP System recognizes which tax type is valid for a plant and thus which taxes are relevant when creating an SD document.
    Define the Customer Taxes in OVK3, you will maintain the tax code in Customer Master.
    Define the Material Taxes in OVK4, which will then be maintain in Material Master.
    For example :-
    MWST GST 0 Tax Exempt
    MWST GST 1 Liable for Taxes
    Now, you define the Tax Determination in VK12.
    VK12 - Domestic Taxes/Export Taxes
    Condition Type MWST
    Customer Taxes Material Taxes Rate Taxes
    0 0 0 %
    0 1 0 %
    1 0 0 %
    1 1 9 %
    In this example, if both the Customer Master and Material Master Tax code is 1, Tax will be included when you create the Sales Order.
    Tax Code in Customer Master / Sales Order
    How can we maintain the Tax Code (Tax code - which we maintain in MWST Condtion Records) in Customer Master or in Sales Order?
    There are few points which I would like to remind you:
    1) MWST is a tax condition which is applied to customer to whom we are selling. The rate of tax is depend on various parameteres, whether is fully liable for tax or expemted (in case of Defence Customer)
    2) There are few parameteres which we apply tax condition. Whether customer is tax liable? Whether material is tax exempted?
    For example, if you are selling a goods which are free for tax to any customer, put the Tax Indicator (at MMR as '0'). If your
    material is tax liable pur the Tax Indicator (at MMR as 1). If your customer is not liable for tax at all (like the case of Indian
    Defence organisations) put the Tax Indicator (at CMR as 0) or 1 in case fully tax liable.
    3) Now, at VK11 you need to mainatain your pricning conditions with all the combinations like:
    1 0
    1 1
    0 1
    0 0
    4) While maintaining your Material Master Records or Cusotmer Master Records, you must identify, which are tax liable and which are tax exempeted.
    5) In anycase, as a SAP standard Best Practises, while processing a sales order, you must retrieve a Tax condition record from SAP database only and not entered Manually. Accordingly, at V/06, the MWST condition Defintions, the field for 'Manual Entries', it would be marked as - D (Not possible to process Manually).
    Due to this setting, normally, you cannot maintain Condition tax code during sales order processing. And in Cusotmer Master, you can only maintain Tax Indicator and not Tax Code.
    6) In case your client insists for Manual entry of Tax code during Sales Order processing, you can change the field at point 5) above to C-Manual entry is priority instead of D.

  • Sales order Tax issue

    Hi All,
    I am having a issue with sales order that calculated taxes.  When created the invoice, no taxes were calculated.  Went back into the invoice (VF02) and went to the header pricing condition.  Did not make any changes, but green arrowed back.  Then went into each line item and the taxes are now calculated.  Posted the invoice to accounting and taxes are showing up. 
    The defect is.... We should NOT have to go into the header pricing condition tab in order to calculate taxes for the line items.

    The first question I would ask is: do you have any user exits implemented for pricing condition type in your invoice document? If yes, analyze the code related to Tax. If not, contact your SD consultant to check the pricing procedure configuration.

    Dear Experts,
    I just run MRP Procedure and generate Order Recommendations. In Order Recommendation created Purchase Order and got message as P.O. sent to approval. All is going well but there is one thing I just want to clarify that How can we update Tax Code in Purchase Order form hence In Approval Procedure we cannot update Purchase Orders Rows as well.

    Can you please tell me that in sales order, what is the "Bill To" customer? Is it "Sold-to party" or "Ship-to party" or something else? In which table is it stored and what is the field name?

    Ship-to-party is nothing but to which party the material has to be shipped
    Sold-to-party is nothing but to which party the material has be sold
    Regarding Bill-to-Party, go through the below example
    If a company has a headquarters in Banglore and it has branches in Chennai, Hyderabad and Pune.
    If the people from chennai branch require some goods and they will look for a vendor and they will buy from him .
    they will ask the vendor to send the bill to their headquarters in banglore and ship the goods to their chennai location.
    for the above example
    Ship-to-Party is chennai office
    Sold-to-Party is  chennai office
    Bill-to-party is Banglore Head quarters.
    Regarding the company code, it is stored in the table VBAK and the field name is
    BUKRS_VF.

  • Purchase Order Tax Codes

    Currently when my organization creates a purchase of raw materials I have been noticing that when i look under the taxes subheading under items that the tax code becomes 16 - import tax at a rate of 5.5%.  These types of purchases should not have any tax associated with them as they are part of the manufacturing process.  In lieu of our procurement team going in on each and every purchase order to correct this, is there a way to change our master data so that the default becomes a different code?  I have been looking in business configuration to change this but have not found where I need to go.  Has anyone else experienced this and perhaps could point me in the right direction?

    There is an option in the Product Master Data to set-up Tax Code for any particular Material that may have Tax Exemption or Reduced rate etc.
    Please check Product Master under "Tax" tab and see if this will serve the purpose.

  • Sales Order - Taxes not included in the net value

    Hello Everyone,
    While creating the Sales Order with DE customer, DE material, I was able to get the DE taxes calculated, but in this case also the taxes are not getting added to the “Net Value” in the header.
    But if we double click on the header “Net value” field, “Conditions” tab, here inside the tab top, we see the “Net”, “Tax” values calculated correctly. Is this how it is suppose to work?
    Any help is appreciated.

      if taxes are not added to net value then check for possible missouts
    1)in pricing procedure tax accounting key assignment
    2)it should be non statistical,if made as statistical then will not be added in net value
    3)DE customer should be tax enabled
    4) DE material should be tax enabled.
    5) utxj/mwst tax condition records should be picked from FI tax procedure.
      if this is zero then tax will not be activated.
    these are the only possibilities.
    check and confirm back.

  • Sales Order Taxes based on Sold-To instead of Ship-To

    We are in the situation were we need to determine taxes based on the Sold To location instead of the Ship To.  We are located in Canada and using Jurisdiction codes for our taxes (CTXJ).
    I have done a bunch of investigation that seems to lead to believe that this should be possible but I am little stuck as to how at this point...
    What I am thinking is in Condition Type CTXJ is using Access Sequence UTX1 Access 10 condition table 40 (Country/State/Customer Classif.1/Material Classification 1) I need to somehow influence the mapping between condition REGIO and KOMK - REGIO.
    So I have a couple questions...
    1) Is their another field that I missed in KOMK for the Sold-To Region?
    2) Is their a way via standard config to change the was REGIO is set in KOMK?
    3) Do I need to use USER_EXIT_KOMK to manually over ride the value ?
    4) I have missed something completely to accomplish this?

  • Tax calculation on sales order and invoice is different

    2007A, SP0, PL49
    The tax on a sales order does not match the tax on the linked delivery and invoice by 1 cent. We take payment based on the sales order amount as the delivery and invoice are done after the fact. Why is the tax calculated differently on the delivery/invoice? We would want it to always match.
    Item price = $111.04. Taxcode rate 13% has combination of 5% GST + 8% ONTAX.
    On Sales Order, ONTAX = $8.88
    On Delivery/Invoice, ONTAX = $8.89
    Can someone please explain the difference? Is rounding/tax calcualtion controlled by system settings per document?

    Something must be wrong with your Sales Order tax.  The actual tax would be 8.8832.  Round up to 8.89 is correct.  Do you have any SP, FMS or add-on been used?

  • Tax classification for sales order before ECC

    Hi expert,
    We have recently upgraded from 4.6C to ECC6.0 and noticed the following
    issue, please kindly advise. Thanks.
    The tax classification for one of the regular customer has always been
    maintained as ‘0’ (Tax Exempt).
    In 4.6C, in the sales order condition tab, the system will auto
    calculate and reflect the output tax amount automatically for this
    regular customer.
    However, in ECC6.0, with the same customer and material, the sales
    order will no longer auto calculate and reflect the output tax amount
    anymore.
    Nevertheless, if we maintain the customer tax classification field
    as ‘1’ (Liable for Taxes) before raising the sales order, or if we
    amended the sales order tax classification field manually as ‘1’, then
    the output tax amount will auto calculte and reflect as expected.
    We would like to know why is there such differences between 4.6C and
    ECC6.0. What should be the proper standard behaviour and if there is
    any actions required be get the system to perform as per in 4.6C?

    Hi,
    I am sure you must have done some of the analysis already on these points but it does not harm to do it again: 
    1) Check the Customer Master and check the Tax Category of the Customer to make sure that it is maintained as 0;
    2) Check the Tax Record [MWST Tax Condition Type normally] for whichever tax table you are maintaining it for exists 
    3) Check in the Condition Tab in Pricing Details if you are finding the assess to the Tax Records happening for the Customer and Material combination.
    If you find any of these three as the smoking gun you should be good.
    I do not think personally that if the issue is only with one customer that this is an upgrade issue. Even otherwise, Tax related stuff has not changed in anyway between those versions.
