SAP inbox(SBWP) workitem should remains in INBOX

Dear Experts,
I have created a workflow. I want to forward its workitem to someone else. But when I open the task, workitem comes to the outbox; and outbox don't have the forward option.
My requirement is that; workflow should remains in the inbox when it is being opened and then user forward this workitem after displaying it and send to anyone as per his requirements using forward button.

When you click/open the work item, it gets completed. That's why it is in the outbox. Completed work items cannot be forwarded (basically nothing can be done for them anymore). Most likely your step/task has been built in a wrong way. I have no idea what your step is supposed to do, but in 99% cases, when you have a dialog step in a workflow, there is e.g. some button that need to be pressed in order to complete the work item - for example "Approve" or something like that (depending on what kind of workflow process you are dealing with). And if you don't press that button, the work item will stay in your inbox. Steps shouldn't be completed just by clicking/opening the work item.
You need to tell more details about your step. What is it doing (what happens when you click the work item)? Or perhaps you can share the code of the method that gets executed in the task?

Hi,
My requirement is like if one quotation has to approve from 2 level manager.if workitem is with 1st level manager and he is not responding for 24 hrs than the workitem should vanish from inbox, it should be forwarded to his next level within next 24 hrs.
Any idea how to achieve this.

Just search this forum with Processing Obsolete keyword and you will get your answer. You have to use modelled deadline to accomplish this task.

Workitem remaining in inbox.

Hi,
There is a workitem which a user processes to post a document. Upon successful completion, the workitem is still remaining in his inbox. It should disappear from the inbox once processing is done. Its not happening. Could anyone pls help me regarding this?

Hi Rob,
I have checked the workflow log and the template. Yes its true that advance with dialog is set for this step in the wf and this is within a loop.
But if i check in the workflow log the loop has not been executed even once.
It is stopping at that task with state as "in process" in the very first pass through the loop.
Also pls tell me what is the significance of the advance with dialog checkbox being checked?

Workitem remains in inbox even after execution

Hi all,
I am facing a problem with the removal of workitem from the inbox. I have searched the net and found that this problem has been faced before by people but I could not get any solution to this.
I have a workitem in the inbox. I click it and execute it. After completion when I return to the inbox, the workitem is still displayed there. A single refresh of the inbox also doesn't work. I need to log off and log on again to the portal in order to see the refreshed list in my inbox.
But the workitem doesn't get removed from the inbox as soon as it is completed. I can even click the same workitem second time and see the same screen again - but this is not reauired as the work is already done.
It seems to be due to some time delay between the synchronization of the ESS and the database.
If anyone has solved this issue before please tell me how I can remove the workitem from my UWL inbox as soon as it is completed.

Issue :- Forwarded Workitem displayed in Both Inbox

Dear Experts ,
I am having the below issue related to Forwarded Workitem .
I was having the problem of " Workitem dissapears from SAP Inbox after forward " , and was got resolved by implementing the SAP Note - 1308276 . After implementing the Note , the below issue occurs .
If a workitem is forwarded from User 1 inbox to User 2 inbox then , it should get dissapeared from user1 inbox and should get assigned to user2 inbox ,. But now the workitem is being displayed in both user1 & user 2 inbox .
This issue occured after implementing the SAP Note - 1308276 .
Let me know if any more clarifications needed .
If any one has any idea related to the mentioned issue , suggestion will be highly appreciated .

That really doesn't sound normal behaviour at all. I think you should check if SAP has provided a new note for this. And if not, then address the question to SAP.

SBWP - Look in another users inbox

Hi,
While we are testing our workflows, I have the need to look in other users inbox.
I would like to do it without the necessity to be their substitute, at least I don't want to have to contact them, to be set up as their substitute.
Does anybody know a way to do this.

you should use the search forum option in the beginning screen of this forum, not on the left side of the sdn screen
you should find this topic Viewing the users inbox for pending workitems..
which mentions some transaction where you can find what the workload is of certain users, effectively telling you which workitems are in their inbox.

Is it Possible to delete workitems in the UWL Inbox?

Hi All,
Can we delete workitems in the UWL inbox?
Please let me know.. we have two types of workitems ., one comes from workflows and another from Guided Procedures.
i have added delete action in the UWL XML file and tried deleting the workitems but i got the message..
"Unable to perform the request. Try again and if the problem persists, inform your system administrator"
and also this action button is visible only for Guided procedure workitems.
Please help me..
is it possible to delete the workitems in the UWL inbox? then how? is there any documents?
if it is not possible then why they have provided "Delete" action?is there any supporting documents or SAP Notes for this..

Please run the report in r/3 to delete the workitem.RSWWWIDE.
To delete the GP items
Step 1: Select the process template.
GOTO: Guided Procedures >> Administration >>Archiving and Deleting >> Maintain Process Templates >> Process Template Settings
Click on u201CBrowseu201D
Select the Process Template
Click on "Choose"
Step 2: Specify a schedule.
Make sure the previously created Template setting is selected.
Select u201CSpecify Custom Settingsu201D
Select the appropriate intervals for removal of processes.
Step 3 Schedule a task to run daily and perform our desired deletion setting.
GOTO: Guided Procedures >> General >> Schedule Tasks >> Select u201CTask Archiving and Deleting.u201D
Click on "Create".
Mention the schedule required,
Preferably
Type: Recurrent Daily
Time : non productive hours [after midnight]

Duplicate Message in Inbox SBWP

Hi All,
I have the problems for messsages release in inbox sbwp. I used the workflow FIPP single level release amount for parked document. When I parked the document in FV60, I got one messages release amount in inbox sbwp. It is correct. But When I have completed this document in FBV0, The inbox will appear duplicate messages for release amount (4 or 5 messages) for same document number. Do you ever have the same problems? How can I solve this problems? Please kindly need your advise.

Thanks for all reply. This is issue is not about invoice duplicate, I have check the invoice duplicate. In Tcode SWEL, I check there is appears several event release for one document. When I have investigate the details of the transaction. If I didn't select the cost center, the workflow is fine and only one messages for release one document. But in another case, It is not cause by all cost center. If I selected several cost center, it can be wrong and inbow will show several messages in SBWP. This is not affected in all cost center. In workflow, is there any step to determine cost center? How could Workflow define for cost center? Kindly need your help to solve this issue.

i have used the standard WS20000075 WF for PO Approval,
i have assigned a user to it, activated the Eventlinkage,
but when i create a PO, i do not find any workitem in that users Inbox.
please suggest,

Hi Aditya;
You have to configure your MM Strategy (for release codes) at SPRO -> Mat.Managment -> Purchase Order -> Specify Strategy (or something like that). When you configure the release codes, put 1 on workflow gridline for each strategy code, then check out on Workflow menu for the relationshift with Organitational Unit.

Workitem should not be deleted

Hi experts,
In my workflow scenario, I have to send mail to multiple agents, that working fine. My problem is, if any of the agents executes the workitem from his sap inbox, the mail get deleted from the inbox of all the agents, which should not happen. Only the agent who execute the workitem, mail should be deleted from his inbox only.
Can any one help me on this please??

That is the standard behaviour of SAP Workitem. IF you want to keep teh workitem in his inbox then you should make use of Dynamic Parallel processing with a multiline container element which is availabel in the MIscellaneous tab,
All teh agents for whom you are sending the mail populate all teh user in a multiline container element and then assign this element in this field , once you do this a internal <CONATINER ELEMENT NAME>_LINE element will be created by the system, you assign this element in the Agents using EXPRESSION under control tab.
THis will dynamycally create parallel branches based on the number of agents populated in the mulitline container element. In this way you can make sure that the agents are having the workitem for each.

How can I make Thunderbird 31.4.0 always open with Inbox? The add-on "select Inbox" does not always work!

Starting with TB 31.2 - some four months ago - I have not been able to open TB to the Inbox. I downloaded the "Select INbox" add on many times (and disabled/removed as many times) but it does not work consistently. When it does finally work I have no idea why. And then the next time, it doesn't work again!

I still have this problem. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. This morning TB opened to the Inbox but I have little confidence that it will do that again.
In earlier post I already replied that I don't have CCleaner on my computer. I also have not downloaded any programs since I began to have this problem.
Now I wonder if the Intego Net Barrier and Virus Barrier could be having a negative influence. I've been using these for years and have not changed their settings in any way for years. If they could be the reason that the settings are erased between TB starts what should I do?
You can probably tell that I only use my computer and do not understand anything about programming, etc.! I need complete, step-by-step explanations for a computer dummy.

If it's not on the device list, it indicates that someone has gone to Find My iPhone on icloud.com and manually deleted it from the device list (as explained here: http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmfc0eeddd), and it has not gone back online since (which would cause it to reappear on the device list; Find My iPhone has been turned of in settings on the device; the iClolud account has been deleted from the device; or the entire devices has been erased and restored.
Unfortunately, there's no other way to track the phone other than through Find My iPhone. You could call your carrier and see if they would blackliste it so at least the theif couldn't use it.

Focus should remains in the last column .

Okay, that makes sense. However, I modified my code to actually move the lead, and it still didn't work. Curious, I added a pop up window to the code, and I found out that it doesn't get called. The tab key still doesn't do anything. I miss KeyListeners already :(
