  • Incident Management Reporting Setup

    Hello!
I try to setup the incident management reporting.
I can't find any help or guide for this process (only http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata//EN/51/7dd0c003414e80a6847f5c7437ea63/frameset.htm). Is there something else?
In webdynpro "Incident Management Reporting Setup" I have to configure the RFCs (you can open it with SOL work center --> Incident Management --> Reports --> Message Reporting --> Setup)).
The first field is called "RFC from Solution Manager to BW System", contains NONE and I can't change it.
The second field is called "RFC from BW System to Solution Manager". Here I created an RFC entry, but now I can't change it too. Is there a trick to edit this fields once again?
    Thankx and regards,

  • Incident management send email to support team when message created

Hi! We are trying to configure the solution manager incident management (Service Desk). For the phase 1, we just try to see if
a alert or email can be sent to support team member (through either email or business workplace)when a incident message is created. Can someone give me some guide how to do this? Your help is very much appreciated!

    Hi,
As Siva said, Configuration steps should be very similar between 7.0 and 7.2. Refer to the below Incident Management document

  • Incident-management with web dynpro ags_incident_trans_key

    Hello!
I try to implement the solution manager incident-management with web dynpro. Especially i have a problem with the web dynpro ags_incident_trans_key.
In SAP-help http://help.sap.com/saphelp_smehp1/helpdata/en/40/8ac473d40943ddb23def12bdb33437/frameset.htm you can read under topic "Replying to Solution Proposals or Questions", that when you do the action "answer" the user status of the support message is reset to In Process. But this doesn't happened. Where can this be customized? In transaction sppfcadm it's not possible, because the button "answer" is no PPF-action (or I can't find it).
Is there any solution, that the support employee is automatical informed with an mail, that the user status of the support message is reset to In Process?
    Thanks in advance
    Ralph

    Hello Christoph,
    Thankx for your answer!
I had to modify the status profile in crmbs02. After that the status changes perfect.
Now I am able to change in transaction crm_dno_monitor the status in two ways:
    a) button "action" --> choose action --> everything is fine. A mail is created with PPF-Action and the status changes. But this button is not availbale in the web-dynpro (and that's good!).
    b) button "status" --> choose status --> status of incident-dokument changes, but there is no mail-action. The button "status" has the same result as pushing the "answer"-button in the web-dynpro.
The user should use only the web-dynpro-button "answer". So, how musst this mail-action be configured? Maybe in sppfcadm?

    Ralph

  • Incident Management in PLM 7.1

    Hi Experts!
Does anyone have any experience in configuring Incident Management on the PLM 7.1? Is there a standard configuration guide?
    Thanks a lot in advance!!

    hello Irene
I am not sure what you would you are searching for. The new Incident management of SAP EH&S is descibed here:
    http://help.sap.com/ehs-comp10
It is an add on on top of ECC 6.0 Enhp5 and to my knowledge require an additional license fee.
Clearly: you will find installation guidelines etc. in SAP marketplace
which Incident Managment do you would like to use ? Old or new one?
The old one is described e.g. here:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_05/helpdata/en/8a/3b6e361b2fac0be10000009b38f839/frameset.htm
    Chapter: Incident/Accident Management (EHS-IHS-IA)
I have not checked SAP marketplace,. A good check is to take a look at the "best practise" approach. Please check this FORUM; you will find links to the "best practise" approach. I assume that there could be something regarding the old incident management
    With best regards
    C.B.

  • Sap Solution Manager 7.1 SP11 Basic Configuration

    Hi Experts,
I am in fresh installation for Sap Solution Manager 7.1 SP11. At Basis Configuartion Phase in step " Configure CA Introscope".
I have successfully installed, but it shows the following message: " Offline - The EM Connection cannot be established (caused by :com.sap.smd.introscope.em.IntroscopeException: java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException_) "
Need suggestions how to proceed from here.
    thanks

    Raja,
    I assume you're using Linux/UNIX.
Here's the solution. It worked for me.
In /usr/sap/ccms/apmintroscope/config/users.xml, update the Guest password with this MD5 hash: c4582df82299e0581a9fc6bb34c53
In user management screen of "Configure CA Introscope", choose "Guest" as connection user with password "guest12" (without quotation marks)
If it's still not working, then delete the EM and re-install the introscope.
Go to expert mode -> Delete references -> Remove the line
    Delete folder /usr/sap/ccms/apmintroscope
Install introscope and management modules againdon't forget to re-set the permission for diagnostic agent user
Go back to solman_setup "Configure CA Introscope" and do import CA again
Save, you'll have a green status

  • Configuration for Central Monitoring System in SAP Solution Manager.

    Hi Folks,
I am trying to setup Central System Monitoring in SAP Solution Manager, I am following the document which mention the step by step instructions.
There are couple of items on which  I am really confused.
In the documentation it says to activate Background Dispatching & Central System dispatching in 000 client of Solution Manager,
it also mentioned about creating CSMREG user, but it did not say in which client this activity needs to be performed, and there are lot many steps in which there is no mention about the client of solution manager in which we have to perform the configuration.
Can you guys please help me to configure properly?
One set document which I saw talks about the configuration using RZ21 and other document discuss about Configuration using System Monitoring Work Center, which one do we need to follow, are both methods are 2 different options doing the same thing, can you please clarify?
Also, is there any document which clearly explains the setup of  Central System Monitoring in SAP Solution manager using both approaches and also to test the monitoring?
    I have SAP Solution Manager 7.0 EHP1.
    Thanks.
    Jennifer

You should created this user in working client.

You can use RZ21 or System monitoring through work center. From Solution manager 7.1, you need to use work center only. So, I would suggest you to use work center only.

  • Configure ECC 6.0 EHP4 in SAP Solution Manager SP15

    Hi all,
I just upgrade a system from R/3 4.6c to SAP ECC 6.0 EHP4 NW 7.01. I want to configure the system in SAP Solution Manager just upgraded to SP15. But I don't understand how I must to configure the system and to assign a logical component. It seems not to be the same possibilities between System configuration and Logical configuration.
For system configuration I can choose product version EHP4 FOR SAP ERP 6.0 / NW7.01 and a full list of usage type
For logical component I only found product SAP ERP ENHANCE PACKAGE and a very short list of version and usage type (??)
Is someone know if it is normal or if it is necessary to patch solution manager ?
Is ther a documentation existing to configure ERP EHP4 systems ??
    Thanks for your answer.
    Regards
    Gerard

I have not seen any document to configure EHP4 systems specfically.
I do not think, Solman SP15 should create any problem in that. But, since you are upgrading your landscape to EHP4, so why leave solman to SP15 instead of Ehp1 (SP18/19/20)...
You might want to have a glance over some notes
Note 1283307 - SMSY: Product version cannot be determined correctly
Note 1301106 - SMSY: Enhancements and errors in Enhancement Package 1

  • Configuration information is only available in SAP Solution Manager.

Configuration information is only available in SAP Solution Manager.
    I always read about this.
But how find it in the sol man system actually?
    Thanks very much.

    Hi
do you mean IMG configuration of ABAP scenarios?
when you create the project in solution manager you can see all its configuration information on the tabs(TA Solar_project_Admin)
for the ABAP scenarios, executable configuration files (IMGs) are available. SAP Solution Manager has the capability of executing the ABAP scenarios IMG files during the configuration and management of the system landscape(TA Solar02)
I could suggest please go the link service.sap.com/solutionmanager.for needed informantion

  • Configuration Guide Job Scheduling Management with SAP Solution Manager

    Dear Gurus
Could you please help me with the configuration guide of the Job Scheduling Management with SAP Solution Manager
    Best Regards

    Hello Luis,
the configuration activities can be accessed via the "Implementatiopn Guide" by calling transaction SPRO in your SAP Solution Manager system.
In SPRO navigate to -> SAP Solution Manager -> Scenario-Specific Settings -> Job Scheduling Management -> Standard Configuration and execute the following two activities.
    1. Activate Solution Manager Services
    2. Set Up Work Center for Job Scheduling Management
Make sure that your user has role SAP_SM_SCHEDULER_EXE (or_ADMIN) assigned.
Afterwards you should be able to access the Job Management Work Center and to create Job Documentation or to import Jobs from a Managed System into new Job Documentations.
The following SAP notes might be usefuly as well:
1054005  - FAQ on Job Scheduling Management
    1117355  - Work Center roles
