Scan-to-email app

Which printer does support the scan-to-email app?
I discovered the photosmart 5510 doesn't support what are the alternatives?

Hi,
Only the latest printers (Late 2012) support the Scan-to-Email app.
The Photosmart 5520 as example provide this feature:

Main thing i was looking for was Scan to Email feature.
As I read in specifications provided in this product description I see:

Digital sending standard features: Scan to E-mail by HP SW; scan to application by HP SW ; scan to file by HP SW
Once I try to install Scan to Email app i get following message once i try to install app:
What is wrong, that i cannot install app that was one of main choice points of this printer.
TWAIN and using computer scanning process is clear, so no need instructions how to scan using computer.
I especially need fucntion that i scan document on printer, then enter email and its emailed.
Thank You in advance for clarification,

  • Scan-to-email app with Officejet 6700 Premium printer

    how to scan and email
Scan-to-email app with Officejet 6700 Premium printer - attachment does not come through

    Hi
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I see that you are unable to use the scan to email feature of your Officejet 6700 printer because you are getting an unable to connect message.
There are several steps I would like you to try please.
    Please turn off your printer.
Please turn off your router.  If your router doesn’t have an on/off switch, please unplug the power cord from the router.
After waiting a full 60 seconds please turn on your router (or plug it back in).
After the router has completed its startup routine please turn on your printer.
After the printer has completed its startup routine, please test the scan to email feature.  If it works there no need to continue with any further trouble shooting steps.
Please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer. I have included a link to another post with the steps, including screen shots on how to do this.   Don’t worry that the screen shots show a Officejet 8600 printer, the steps are the same.
Please test the scan to email feature.  If it works there is no need to continue with any further trouble shooting steps.
Please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.

  • "Scan to Email" app broken again

Once again the "Scan to Email" app (Link) is broken on my HP Officejet 6500A Plus.
Here is a picture of the displayed error message:
The printer has network/internet connectivity and the ePrint function works just fine. So that can't be the issue.
Also I already tried to reboot the printer as well as disconnect the power and plug it back in.
A few month ago I had a similar issue which was fixed afer 1-2 weeks by HP. See here for the threat from back then.
Altogether this is the 4th time this year, that the functionality broke. It's pathetic for a company like HP that they can't keep such a simple service up and running.
Can someone from HP please look at the service health and fix it again?
Could you also implement basic monitoring, so that you actually realize when the service is down?
Is someone else having this issue?

Come on HP! Is this really the way to treat your customers?
This functionality has been down for a month now and I still don't see anyone attempting to address this.
    This is really poor!

  • Unable to delete and incorrectly typed email address from the scan to email app on HP 6700

    Hello,
I incorrectly entered an email address on the SCAN TO EMAIL APP on my HP Officejet 6700 Premium and I am unable to remove this email.
When I enter the screen and select delete or modify or remove for the associated email it prompts me to enter the pin number (which of course was sent to an email address that I do not have since I typed it in incorrectly).
I have done a search of the forum and seen that people using this app with other machines are also having this problem and have not found an answer.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thank you!

Hi Denise-Adam, welcome to the HP Forums. If you do not have a settings option in the Scan To Email App, you will have to remove Web Services, and re-enable it. This will require you to add the printer back to HPConnected (if you are using it), and re-add the app.
The instructions to reset web services are under the section "What if I lose my printer code before registering my printer?" in this document:  Getting Started with ePrint
    I hope this helps.

The Scan to Email App is Broken Again!
    Printer: HP6700 Officejet Premium
I kept having the dreaded "Cannot cannot to the Internet" error when trying to use the Scan to Email App

I've stopped and re-started Web Services, gone thru the Wirless Network Setup again, and re-registered the printer with HP Connect.  I've also removed and then added the Print to Email App again.
Now when I try to set-up the Scan to Email App and try to enter the PIN that was emailed to me I get:
    Internal Processing Error
Please let me know how to fix this!!
    Thanks :-)

  • Deleting an email address from the scan email app in a X576

I added an incorrect address in the email app on Officejet X576, this is not the email option under the scan button but the scan to email app under the app menu.  To delete it, the app wants the pin that was sent to the incorrect address.  Needless to say I can not get that PIN. Any way to delete the address without the pin number, I would like to keep the other address I have on the list.

    Hi PK6,
I am sorry, but to get your issue more exposure, I would suggest posting it in the commercial forums, since this is a commercial product. You can do this at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/

  • Photosmart 7520 entered incorrect email address on HP scan to email.

Can't delete incorrect email because it wants my pin.  Keeps sending my pin to the incorrect email that I entered.  How can I delete this?

    Hello lkclark,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
I see that you can not find a way to remove an Email from the Scan to Email App. Have you tried to delete the App and re-install it?
To do this, log into HPConnected.com. Click Services and then make sure the printer is selected. Click Settings and then Remove this Printable. Using the Search box, type Scan to Email and install the App again.
Let me know if this helped.

  • Scan to email sends wrong time

After setting up my 8600 Plus, I installed the Scan to Email app with all the correct input info.  The device is connected through my network and displays the correct time and date on the front panel.  However, when I send a "Scan to Email", it arrives to the receipent with a time stamp that is 7 hours earlier than the email was sent.  I've tried to reset the time and restart the 8600 but it still indicate the email was sent earlier than it actually was.  Any help?

I have exactly the same problem.  I have wasted 10's of hours trying to get this resolved since December when I purchased this printer.  I used the checkbox you suggested many times over the last months and it does not affect the time in the received email.  I have tried changing the timezone on my computer, using the checkbox on the printer web interface, and then resetting the timezone on my computer to see if I can affect the printers timezone.  The scan-to-email time does not change.  I had this same problem on my last HP printer (HP8500) and it was not ever fixed.  On that model, I could affect the timezone on the printer using the checkbox, but the best I could get is a 7 hour error and with the correct timezone on my computer the error was 14 hours.  I am in Mountain Tiime.  Also, why is there no timezone setting in the printer's LCD panel settings? I am very very dissapointed in HP for never addressing this issue across multiple printer models!  I have participated in multiple HP forums where we have been told that the problem is being worked on.  Several new firmwares have been released with no fix for this problem.  With my prior HP8500, I had been on the phone with HP tier 2 support and they verified the problem while I was on the phone, but a year later the problem was never addressed!! I  have managed complex high-tech product development programs and have managed engineering departments developing products at least as complex as these printers.  I would never allow a product to be released with a simple problem such as this, or if it was not caught during development, I would have it fixed immediately to keep my customers happy.  This is a simple firmware coding problem which shouldn't take more that a few hours to fix! It doesn't appear that HP cares about their customers anymore.  I have been buying and recommending HP printers for decades, but I may not be able to support HP in the future since they don't support me.

    Hi Nancy_AMS,
I would like to help you with the Server Connection error you are experiencing. It sounds like you are using a scan to email app from the front panel of the printer, if this is true follow the following to resolve the issue.
    1. Obtain your printer's IP address
    a. This can be done by pressing the wireless icon on printer.
    2. Enter the printer's IP address in a browser.
    3. Select the network tab at the top of the page.
    4. On the left select networking.
    5. Select Network Address (IP)
    6. Select Manual DNS Server
    a. Manual Preferred DNS should read 8.8.8.8
    b. Alternate DNS Server should read. 8.8.4.4
    7. Select apply you might get a warning just select okay.
Let me know if this resolves the issue.

  • Scan to Email not Working - Windows 7

My printer was working fine until i changed my comcast password.  now when I scan to email it tells me my username and/or password are invalid.  Anyone have any idea how I can fix this quickly?  I've been on the phone with HP for over 2 hours and now I've been told that I have to call another number tomorrow for Cloud because they were closed tonight.   Thanks in advance!

    Hi @littles4,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums.  I gather that you are getting an error message when using the scan to email feature of your Officejet 8600 printer.
Your post leads me to believe that you are using the scan to email app found on the front panel of the printer. Would you please run the Wireless Setup Wizard (WSW) on the front panel so that the printer has the new wireless network password? If you are unsure how to do this, the steps can be found on page 225 of your User Guide, in the section titled “Set up the printer using the Wireless Setup Wizard”.
Please try to scan to email again. If you are still unable to scan to email, please set a manual IP address and manual DNS servers for the printer; the steps, including screen shots, can be found in this post.
Please try to scan to email again. If you are still encountering issues, please call HP’s Cloud Services at 1-855-785-2777 if you live in the USA/Canada region. If you live outside the USA/Canada region please click here to find the Technical Support number for your country/region.

  • Why can't I scan by email?

Just bought an Envy 7640 series. Yesterday, set it up to scan to the email of two laptops.. Worked great for one of them (an old Toshiba with Vista).  The second one is brand new Toshiba with Windows 8; and, although, the printer indicated the scan was a success, I never received it - and tried numerous times. Since I  received an email during the process, welcoming me to eprint, I know they have correct address. Help please!

    Hey @kschmidt127,
Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
So you're having an issue scanning to email from your Envy 7640 through the eprint app? I would be happy to assist you in resolving this issue. Since you're able to scan to email through the one Vista computer and you got the confirmation email we know that eprint should be properly set up.
For the Eprint Scan to Email App troubleshooting I am including the link the the helpful solution by @happytohelp01on Server Connection Error - Scan to Email App.
For now,  here are some alternative ways to scan to email on your product:
How to Scan to Email Through the Front Panel:
On the printer control panel, touch the Scan icon (), and then touch Email.
On the welcome screen, touch Continue.
Touch inside the Email: box, type in your email address, and then touch Done.
    Touch Continue.
A PIN is sent to the email address you entered. Touch Continue.
Touch PIN, enter the PIN you received in your email, and then touch Done.
Touch Store Email or Auto-login, depending on how you want the printer to store your login information.
    Scan the item
On the printer control panel, touch the Scan icon (), and then touch Email.
On the control panel display, select the account that you want to use, and then touch Continue.
Touch the name of the email profile that you created, enter the password if prompted, and then scan the item.
How to Scan: From the Control Panel (Including Scan to Email, to a JPEG, and to a PDF)
How to Scan to Email through HP Scan software:
    1. Open the HP Printer Assistant software on your Desktop (black printer icon)
    2. Click on Scan a Document or Photo and the scan software will open
    3. Select the 'Email as PDF' option : Use this option to automatically attach a non-editable scanned text document to an email message.
    4. Load your document onto your printer
    5. On the computer select Scan and your document will scan and show a preview on your computer
    6. Select 'Save' and the document will now automatically attach itself as a PDF attachment in  your email program.
Note:  This mode of scanning only works with Local Email Clients (such as Outlook and Windows Live Mail). Should you only use a web-based email service (Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail) the HP Scan software will give you an error indicating that 'no email application is associated to your computer).
Scan from Windows 8 With the Full Feature HP Software for HP Multifunction Printers
If these modes of scanning work through the HP Scan software than we know that the HP Printer is fully setup and your email program is not blocking your scans like 'junk' mail.
Please let me know if these steps helped in resolving your issue. Good luck!

  • ENVY 120 scan to email unusable

    Hi,
I tried to use scan to email app but after the first time I forgot to flag "remember me" and now no account shows up on the list, and it always starts with "my account is not on the list" which I suppose could be correct.
    But:
    - if I select "my account is not on the list" it says cannot connect to web service, but everything is ok I am connected;
    - if I use another email address and select "remember me" it works, and then it shows up in the menu;
    - I cannot use "add user" to add back my email address any more, since it says "check your email you already have PIN" - yes I have it, but how to use it ??
already tried switching off/on, reinstalling the app, but it doesn't work.
how can I "remove" my email from the known users list - or add it back to the user list ?
