Schedule Ageement Capacity in Heuristic

I have read in help that I should be able to get the SNP Heuristic to take into account the capacity on a schedule agreement but I canu2019t seem to get it to work.  I can run the heuristic in the background in 9ASNP94 with Location Product SA Capacity checked and using 9ASA_BATCH for the capacity check, but there is no change from the unconstrained run.
Am I using the wrong books or something?  What should my selection criteria be?  Any help is appreciated.
I have also tried running the heuristic in the background using the 9ASA book but it gives an error if I use a product as my selection and says that u201CNo valid selection has been chosenu201D when I try to run by schedule agreement.

Hi Barry,
How did you work this out?  I have the same issue now.
Thanks a lot.

  • APO SNP capacity levelling heuristic

I am using APO V5 SNP.
I have a question about SNP capacity levelling heuristic.
As I understand it, the heuristic works on a resource by resource basis and will aim to capacity level across time buckets.
But suppose I have a product which has two different sources of supply (PDS/PPM) using different resources X and Y.
Suppose the capacity using resource X is overloaded for week n, but resource Y is not overloaded.
Can the levelling heuristic be used to move capacity from resource X to resource Y for week n, or would this have to be done manually via changing the PDS/PPM?
    Thanks,
    Bob Austin, Atos Origin

    Bob,
You can move the load from X to Y if Y is an alternative resource to X. This can be accomplished by going to the capacity levelling button and then in the options check the box for 'Consider Alternate Resources'. After that you can mention muliple alternate resources also to be considered.
    Hope this helps.

  • Infinite scheduling with capacity leveling.......

    Hi there ,
If we go for infinite scheduling & then after MRP run go for capacity leveling ..........
then will we get the same effect as finite scheduling .....
    Please suggest me
    Regards
    Kaushik

    Hi Kaushik,
If my understanding is correct, you are asking for the difference between manual and automatick despatching of orders in capacity levelling?
when we set finite scheduling in capacity header view of work center, and run MRP with scheduling parameter 2 set.
In capacity planning the availabile capacity will be compared with the required capacity and the load will be depicted as a graph or in table format. This only gives the load situation against the period.
For this the despatching of order will be done manually based upon the load per day by a scheduler in capacity levelling.
    And to add more,
In R/3 finite scheduling is not there and this is drawback and APO was put in front for this purpose.
Can you confirm me whether the system automatically levels the order or despatchs the order in finite scheduling.
    Best Regards,

  • Scheduling and capacity formulas

    Dear Gurus,
I have a question in work centers and scheduling.
I am using a machine category work center in one operation. Operation time in capacity tab is 7.5 hours.
    Number of capacities is 80. So I have 450 minutes * 80 capacities = 37800 minutes.
My processing formula for capacity is SAP006 Machine * Operation quantity / Base quantity.
In routing I have given the processing time as 4 minutes for a base quantity of 1.
My processing scheduling formula is SAP002 Machine * Operation quantity / Base quantity / Operation splits.
    Operation quantity is 3600.
So capacity req is 4*3600/1=14400 minutes.
The system is taking this time and scheduling the operation for 14400 minutes (=32 working days)
It is not considering the number of capacities available(80). How can I bring in the number of capacities into the formula? I think the number of splits does not take care of the number of capacities. right?
    Please guide me.
    thanks and regards,
    Raghu

    Dear,
    1) Do I need to give this number of capacities again in routing ?Not mandatory but if you have 7 individual capacity  but you want to schedule the order on 5 individual capacity in that case you need to define it as 5. Please note required splitting indicator is must. Do I need to change it now? Don't change you can check your result in routing it self go to CO02ExtraSchedulingschedule and check your result with number of split and without number of split.
    2) In the workcenter I have two Capacity categories machine and labor.
Working time 6 AM to 6AM with a break of 30 minutes.
    Capacity utilization 95
    Operating time 22.33 hours
    For machine capacity category
Processing formula Machine rqmts is SAP006
    number of capacities is 43
total capacity with 43 machines is 57,598.50 minutes.
    For labor capacity category
Processing formula Labor rqmts is SAP007 and number of capacities(workmen) is 86 with a total capacity is 115197 minutes.
Dear in SAP scheduling is carried out for only one capacity category i;e machine because it is critical resource, Labour we use to calculate the cost of order. Scheduling time = SET Up+ Processing time (noting but machine time) as labour are simultaneously working on machine. So as your work center category is 001 then number of split is =43.
    Hope clear to you.

  • Scheduling & Capacity Determination

    Dear Sir,
What is Scheduling & Capacity determination?
Is it relates to each other? n how?
    Points will be rewarded.....
    sonal

    Hi,
Capacity is relate to scheduling. But scheduling is not relate to capacity. That you can check from Production scheduling parameters or Planned order parameters.
Assume You have 5 work centers. To produce 100 qty it will take 100 hours if you use only one work center.
So to produce this 100 qty, capacity required is 100 hours even though if you use 5 workcenters. Each work center work for 20 hours, so totally 100 hours required.
But in scheduling required only 20 hours. Because if 5 work centers parelley run for 20 hours, 100 qty output will come.
So capacity is 100 hours, scheduling time only 20 hours.
This is the difference between Scheduling and Capacity.
    regards,
    Dharma

  • Product Group capacity can not be seen in MF50 output

    Dear All,
I can not see the product group in 'total capacity' subscreen in output of planning table MF50.
In MF50 the input parameter i am entering is product group and plant.
In the scheduling tab of input parameters detailed scheduling and capacity planning is tick.
For some product groups i can see in output as "Product Groups / Total Capacity" and also in the rows below it shows "Prod.Grp XYZ" then requirement and available quantity rows. After which the production line rows follows.
For some product groups when enter in initial selection screen of MF50 with same input parameters in output i do not see Product group but i can see "Total Capacity Data" and then the rows starts with production lines. But no information on capacity of product group.
The setup of all product group is same and are created with MM01.
    Regards,
    Vero.

    Hi Rupesh,
    Thanks for reply.
In 'Control Tab' i am not selecting any parameter. So in output i can see all materials  in 'Material Data' section which are included in product group  irrespective of requirements.
I have issue in upper half section of 'Total Capacity Data'. I can see the different production line rows with Requirement / Available rows with capacity values in each period. Unit is %.
But i do not see 1st row for Product group row with 2 subsequent rows (requirement / available) with unit KG.
I can see these rows only for some product groups but not for all.
For the product groups for which i do not see these rows have capacity requirement in selected periods which can be seen in same output in production lines rows. (where selection in input screen is product group and plant)

  • SA Schedule Lines from MD03 date calculation

    Hi
Please find the following snap from MD03 ,
here the schedule lines generated dt 06-06-14, for this material planned delivery time and GR processing time is zero in material master,
In info record planned delivery time is 1 day, I unable to understand why system generated the schedule after 4 days
Then I created new material copying the above material and done MD03 for newly created then the schedule lines generated on 02-06-14, Why the system proposes two different schedule dates for new material and ol material?
I searched the forum and checked all the available configurations and finally found
IMG-Production-MRP-Planning-scheduling and capacity parameters-Parameters for determining the basic date
when i checked the box for Start in past and again run the MD03 for the same material, then the results as follows, which is correct i think as per MMR
Though i got the required results but did not understand what is this field Start in Past does? how the calculations takes place, what will be the effect if i keep this checked ?
    Thanks

But how these fields were populated?? I think at the time of creation of SA, material master has the data and it has been carried forward, is it right
Either a user manually maintained the values that you have in the SA or these values where at time of creation present in either the material master or the info record.
The system (depending on the config set-up) copies the values in the following sequence to the SA.
If values are maintained in the info record the system will adopt the data from the info record
If no values in the info record then the system will copy the data from the material master record.
I can't judge from here what values where maintained where. You can check the change logs to check if you can find the values back. In case you can not find the values in the change logs then it's likely that the values where manually maintained in the SA.
But How this Parameters for determining the basic date work ?
The determination of the date works based on the backward and forward scheduling.
The system will first schedule using backward scheduling if this is not possible then forward scheduling is used.
Some explanation on backward and forward scheduling.
    Backward scheduling explained
When scheduling materials in SAP MRP, the system will first try to backward schedule the materials.
With backward scheduling is meant that the SAP MRP system will start to count backward from the
requirement date and will then determine the delivery date. As long as this date is later then the current
date, the delivery date will be determined without a problem.
Below image shows a graphical representation of backward scheduling.
    Forward scheduling explained
Forward scheduling is used by the SAP MRP system when the date determined by the backward
scheduling process is lying before the actual date. The forward scheduled date is determined by taking
today’s date and then adding all the relevant processing time to determine the possible delivery date.
This kind of scheduling will throw an exception message in the MRP view screen (MD04 / MD06 /
MD07). These exception messages are telling the materials expeditor that action from her/his part is
required in order to either postpone the production of the finished good or to work with the vendor to
    pull forward the required materials.
Below image shows a graphical representation of how the forward scheduling is performed by SAP.

  • Scheduling error in ppds

    Hi,
I got this error "No gap for activity ||| found within the planning horizon" during production planning run.
    Diagnosis
There is not a large enough gap for the activity ||| on the mode
1- in the planning period specified in the time profile.
    System Response
The system does not schedule or reschedule.
What could be the reason for this error ? Kindly help.
I am struck with this. i am not getting this error if i create any order manually in product view. but when i run planning for a particular sale order in variable heuristic i am getting this error. any idea pls help
    regards
    vinay

    Dear all,
I had posted the querry to sap. below is what they are saying*.
I had a look at system APD and started heuristic SAP_PP_002 for one
of the customer segments. As expected the following happened:
    1. As the 'planning direction' in the strategy settings of the heuristic is set to 'Backwards + Revers' and the planned order availability
date should be today (due to the early requirement date) strategy 1
(backwards scheduling) can't be successful and thus leads to an error /SAPAPO/DM_SCHEDFAIL044
    2. Strategy 2 ('revers', i.e. forward scheduling) is successful then and creates a planned order that starts today and ends in the future.
Both steps & messages are displayed in the scheduling log of the
heuristic. Both messages are abolutely correct and are created as
    expected.
All created orders are overlapping. This is correct, as they are
scheduled infinitely according to the heuristic settings.
In order to do a finite scheduling of the created orders a suitable DS
heuristic should be carried out as a subsequent step after the PP
heuristic run (as recommended by SAP).
So altogether your system works absolutely correct and there is no
    indication for a software error.
    SO FRIENDS,
DOES HE MEAN THAT I SHUD NOT RUN VARIABLE HEURISTIC AT ALL. HE MEANS TO SAY THAT I HAVE TO RUN PLANNING IN PLANNING RUN.
pLA GUIDE ME AS TO WHAT I SHUD DO.
    THANKS

  • Not scheduling on manual creation of planned order

Creating planned order through MD11 and noticed there scheduling not done and capacity planning not done and on doing scheduling manually dates altered and capacity planned which are appearing in CM01 for the respective week
Planned order created through MRP are fine with scheduling an capacity planning .
Please let us know what could be a reason for not updating on manual creation.

    Hi
This is standard behavior of SAP as when you create the planned order through MD11 manually , you need to do the detailed scheduling manually by executing schedule in Edit>Schedule.

  • Scheduling in Apo

    Hello,
Normally scheduling and capacity is based on r/3 scheduling time elements i.e setup,m/c and teardown time in R/3.
What is the parameter for scheduling in Apo and which parameter it will consider while schdeuling and capacity requirement planning?

The setup, produce and teardown times in R/3 on a operation will transfer to APO as activities in an operation in PDS (PRoduction Data Structure) or PPM (Production Process Model) master data.
APO Master Data = PDS or PPM which is equivalent to BOM + Routing in R/3
Hence scheduling and capacity consumption of orders in APO will be based on the PDS or PPM activities.
    Hope this helps.

  • Scheduling in Process order

    Dear All
While creating process order system is not picking scheduling time & date as per maintained in recipe after clicking scheduling tab, because of this capacity is not being load on WC & showing zero reqmnt.
When i checked scheduling at recipe level there also it is happening.
In OPUZ i had ticked both scheduling & capacity reqmnt.
In resource i had maintained all parameter in capacity & capacity is showing as 24 Hr. Scheduling & Capacity fromula had aslo maintain. Finite scheduling is ticked. The control key assigned to the phase, is also defined with "Scheduling and Capacity requirments".
Wht could be other reason for nt calculating time & date as per recipe.

  • Setting needed for Capacity Planning.

    Hi PP Gurus,
I want to know what setting we have to do for capacity planning.
    what I know is:
    1. W/C should be set for finite scheduling.
    2. In scheduling parameters for process order tick "Generate capacity Requirement".
This both setting are made in my scenario, but it is'nt loading the work center fot that week.
    Any other setting nedded?
    Thanks, in advance.

    Dear ,
You need to have following set up at basic level frist before you perfomr the capacity requirement planning  :
1.In OPKP-Define Production Scheduling parameter -Availability check -Confirm Capacity and also Finite Scheduling chekc box ticked .
2.In OPU3/OPU5-Define Scheduling Parametesr -you should mark the following
1.Automatic Scheduling check box should be marked
2.Scheduling Log check box should be marked -generate in case there is a scheduling error due to capacity over load .
3.Scedulinga and Generate Capcity should be ticked .
3.In OPJK Imaintain check capacity with SAPSFCG013 overall profile and set indicator -1 -Release Order -by user decision if capacity is insufficient
4.Work Center - Define the capcity planner group, activate checkbox Relevant for Finite sceduling,on the capacity header define the shift timings, break timings and unit of measure,no of individual capaity, enter formula for scheduling in capacity view.
5.Routing - enter the values for the standard values. Use control key with scheduling and CRP activated .
    6. OPD0 and have the following set up  : Overall profile : SFAPSFC015 --Inside the over all profile I have the following set up
1.Selection Profile -SAPSFCS013 SFC: Order view, standard overview
    2.Control Profile : SAP___C004 : Gen Capacity Availability Check for 1.5 months
    3.Time Profile : SAP___Z006 : Gen Capacity Availability Check for 1.5 months
    4.Evalution Profile : SAPSFCA013 : Gen Capacity Availability Chek =3.0D
    5.Strategy Profile : SAPSFCVER1-Gen Capacity availability Check
    6.Period Profile : SAP___P001 -Weekly period
    7.List Profile : SAPSFCI001-Production Planing
Check all of them in place .Then you can go ahead with Capacity Req.Planning -Evalution and Leveling -CM21/CM22/CM05/CM07  etc.
Refere the below theread for farther reference :

  • Planned order splitting during capacity planning

    Hello,
anybody plese help me during the capacity planning in T.code.CM31 i want to split a planned order and want to assign alternative sequence. how can i do this and the capacity should be reschedule automatically to my requirement date. i am using backward scheduling.
    plese suggest immediately
    Thanks and reagards
    Bhakta

    Dear Bhakta
MRP does not perfom any Capacity Requirement Planning .While  you are executing MRP with Lead Time Scheduling , MRP proposes Planned Order Dates based on the Routing Operation Timing not based on the Work Centre available Capacity because in SAP Std R/3 we did not have scope to check the finite scheduling and capacity requirement chek .MRP assume that Work Centre has infinite available capacity .
In MRP run , it will give you Detail scheduling of the Operation in Planned Order -Detail Scheduling tab  and copied the routing , BOM as master data .When you convert that Planned order to Production order , it will copy the Routing details based on the Order Type denpendt Parameters -OPL8-Routing -Alternative sequnce  and Automatic selection -3 option
Thats why we have Capacity Requirement Planning  for Detail Capcity check and production order scheduling  .
Note : Earlier to my first  reply , please note that you have option in CM21  enter sequence number  at order level which may applicable to you .CM21-Work Centre -exectute -Select the Order from order pool -Goto Order -Sequence number maintainence
This number( sequence number operation /order )  that can be assigned to production orders or planned orders at the level of the task list header and is therefore valid for all the operations in an order.
Hope this is clear .Revert if you nees farther help

  • Accounts Receivable payment schedule

    Hello,
Have you ever heard of a payment schedule possibility for Accounts receivable? This payment schedule is different then the scheduled billing. It occurs after the invoices have been posted and the customer is requesting to allow a change in the due dates of his open items. An agreement is then made with the customer that a certain percentage of the items are paid by date N, another by date N+1 etc. Usually this is done when the customers have a cash flow issue and also in cases when a product is just release and this kind of deviations from standard payments are allowed (this is not to be looked as a usual installment payment).
Besides storing the data somewhere in SAP the business is also requesting to be able to see this information in various reports – i.e. FBL5 (they need to see the due date according to the payment term and the due date according to the payment schedule), Aging (aging according to the regular payment term and due date, and aging according to the payment schedule).
    Thanks a lot!
