Schedule line getting confirmed when Ordered Quanity is greater than stock.

Hi Sap Gurus,
We have an issue in one of the sales scenario.
In one of the sales orders the ordered quanity is purposely maintained greater than the stock at respective storage location(batch managed).
In this case the schedule line should not get confirmed and it should not allow delivery document creation.
But in the sales order the schedule lines are geeting confirmed and even the delivery document is getting created with picking request completion.
Could you please help to understand :
1.  why the schedule lines are getting confirmed when ordered quantity > Inventory?
2. How do I stop delivery document creaton in this scenario?
Looking for a quick response.
Thanks in advance,
Bhaskar

Hello Bhaskar,
Is Availability Check in your system considering Replenishment Lead time, if yes, then this is possible.
Check this IMG Link:
IMG - Sales and Distribution - Basic Functions - Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements - Availability Check with ATP Logic or Against Planning - Carry Out Control For Availability Check
Here check the RLT settings.
Also check settings under In/Outward Movements, where things like include Purchase Order can lead to confirmation of stock in Sales Order, despite physical inventory being present.
Hope this helps,
Thanks,

  • Schedule Lines getting combined in a sales order

Can some body tell me that is this a standard functionality of SAP that old schedule lines for which deliveries are created on previous weeks roll upto single schedule lines after certain time. I have a sales order for which different number of quantities got confirmed at different time and got delivered at various time in a span of 4 months but there is only one schedule line for them. Can someone help me in explaining this behaviour.

    Hi Nithin,
When the the delivery is created for the full quantity of the schedule line,  these schedule line is now irrelevent in the sales order The delivery now holds the requirement. As the delivery quantitiy is not fixed to any schedule line, the confirmed qty and
delivered qty gets moved to the requested schedule line during rescheduling. This is standard behaviour.
This behaviou can be changed by using modificaton note 833272. This notes changes the standard behaviour so that the fully referenced schedule lines are scheduled according to the rules defined in Customizing.
Also , Please review note 547508 point 2 for information.
    Thanks

  • Sales Order Credit Status Block with Schedule Line ATP Confirmed Quantity

I would like to keep the Credit Status Block on a Sales Order when it is created and over the credit limit and at the same time be able to Confirm the Order Quantity (if inventory is available) on the Schedule Line.  Has anyone done this?  I'm using ECC 5.0
In the IMG --> Sales and Distribution --> Basis Functions --> Credit Management/Risk Management --> Credit Management --> Define Automatic Credit Control --> If I remove the Status/Block indicator the schedule line does confirm the sales order quantity but the sales order is not blocked and a delivery can be created.
    Thanks.
    Donna

    Hello Donna,
I think I solved your problem.
There are two ways to block the sales order - one is to not confirm the Schedule line i.e. block delivery... block further action that can be taken. The second is to not let the person save the sales order.
Another option is to get Just a warning message, that the credit limit has been exceeded, but able to save the sales order with a confirmed schedule line.
The setting will be in OVA8.
For the Document Value you make the setting C or A. and make sure the block is not set.
Don't worry about the Open order or open delivery unless you want the system to perform a credit check considering the orders that are already existent. Same with open delivery. It will take into account all the cost of the orders that are open for delivery.
    Now here some options:
Either consider a 'warning' by the system good enough and still be able to confirm the schedule line.
(ii) Put in a Delivery Block in the Sales Document Types, in the Shipping tab. That way, you will be able to save the sales doc. but not be able to deliver it.
(iii) Put a Billing Block in the Sales Doc type, in the Billing tab. You will be able to deliver but not bill.
(iv) Create a new routine (with the help of an ABAP guy) and place it in the auto credit check, 'Reaction' field where it will place a Delivery Block.
Do let me know what your thoughts are and what you decided to do.
    Thanks

  • Schedule lines getting created even when material is there in stock

    Hi Friends,

    Dear wasimuddin.sayed,

that is the functionality of schedule line.
now if you don't have stock at plant level on the same date then as per availability configuration system will confirm the another schedule line on which confirm delivery date and  qty will be available.

  • Credit Status "Not allowed" but schedule line still confirmed

I have a little issue. I know is sth from configuration, but I don't remember where it is.
When automatic credit check is performed, and a sales order goes to "Credit Not allowed" I would like the position of the order remains unconfirmed, in order to leave the stock free for other orders.
Now the system leave the schedule lines created, confirmed, even when credit stock is "not allowed". Could sb help on this?
    Regards

    Hi Eduardo Vartorelli
For the Sales Order to stop the flow of requirements to MRP You have to set the status in the requirement.
Go to T code OVB8 and then set what is your requirement in the routine.
Currently the routine checks only for credit status in VBUK - CMGST if the status is B then it will not transfer the requirements to the MRP.
I am not sure what is the Credit status of your document in the VBUK. If its not "B" and still you want to hold the requirements then you can modify the routine to handle your new requirement.
If the status is B and then the requirements are trasnfering then you need to put a Break point in the rouitne and check if the routine is actually getting called or not.
    The Program Name is LV07A101.

  • Schedule lines combined in sales order

    Dear All,
We have a sales order item with say 2 schedule lines as below
Date                  Order Qty      Rounded Qty     Conf. Qty     Delivered Qty
    05.10.2010        60                  60                      0                  0
    18.11.2010        0                    0                        60                10
Now, if we want to unconfirm the undelivered quantity and to do this we make the order qty = delivered qty and then change back the order qty to original qty, all this with ATP check off.
We expect it to be ...
Date                  Order Qty      Rounded Qty     Conf. Qty     Delivered Qty
    05.10.2010        60                  60                      0                  0
    18.11.2010        0                    0                        10                10
It works but in some cases Sometimes, we notice that SAP moves old delivered  lines to first schedule line. Hence, we loose the schedule line information.
Date                  Order Qty      Rounded Qty     Conf. Qty     Delivered Qty
    05.10.2010        60                  60                      10                  10
Does anyone have an idea why SAP does this and how can we avoid this. This is really important for us, any help will be greatly appreciated.
If anyone could also suggest a better way to unconfirm undelivered qty from schedule lines also.
    Best Regards,

You can try to use delivery block at header level. Copy the delivery block credit limit and create a Z-block(t.code OVLS The path is SPRO->Logistics execution->shipping->deliveries->define reasons for blocking in shipping). When this block is assigned the confirmed quantities will be removed. Once  business approves, the block can be removed so that the remaining quantity will be confirmed. Just test first using the credit limit block in test system and if the results are OK, then you can create a new block.
PS: Please close threads once those are answered. There are old threads still with open status and you action to close those are appreciated.

  • Adding Schedule lines to a sales order

    Friends,
We have a requirement to clear the old un-delivered scheduled lines from a sales order and then add new schedule lines from a EXCEL file.  We were able to clear the old by putting in a new location.  Then, when we go to enter the new schedule lines, it clears the location, marks the Fixed date and Qty, and enters the delivery dates and confirmed quantities.  We tried using BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE, but the schedule_lines table only has the required quantity so when used it increases the order quantity, which is not good.  Is there any Function module that we can call to insert new schedule lines without increasing the order quantity other than using a BDC?  Thanks!

Pasted below is the BAPI documentation for this parameter.
    "Check Table for Schedule Lines
    Description
This parameter completes the following two tasks:
Controls processing functions with the value in the UPDATEFLAG field (change indicator).
    The following entries are available:
' ':   Create new schedule lines
    I:     Create new schedule lines
    U:     Change existing schedule lines
    D:     Delete existing schedule lines
Controls the field entry with check fields
If the UPDATEFLAG field has been activated, the system only copies those fields to the data parameter that have been filled with 'X'."

  • Schedule line getting created for material whose stocks are maintained

    Hi Friends,
I am having an unusual problem of schedule line getting created for material whose stocks are there in the system. I have created an SO for some material, and all the material is having sufficient qty in the system but still the system is generating schedule line.
Can someone please advice what could be the problem and the solution to it.
    Regards,
    Wasim.

    Hello Wasim,
    - In TCode MM02, Check Scheduling in MRP2 Tab of Material master (if MRP is active.)
    - In Tcode OVZ9 - AvC control, for your Availability check maintain (eg. 02) in material & Checking Rule:A-SD order.
Whether Check availability without replenishment lead time is unchecked, as this Indicates whether, during the availability check, the system checks the replenishment lead time. So, Items for which the delivery date falls within the replenishment lead time, but for which there is no inventory, are confirmed for delivery after the replenishment lead time. In the case of items for which the delivery date falls after the end of the replenishment lead time, the system assumes that everything can be confirmed.
    Thanks & Regards

  • Sales order: Two schedule line items for single order item

    Hi,
I have an issue with the schedule lines in the sales order. When we create a sales order  with today as the delivery date, it creates two schedule lines for the single order item. But if we give future date as the delivery date, then it creates one schedule line only. The confirmed quantity for the first line item (with today we the delivery date) is zero and second line item confirmed quantity (with delivery date as tomorrow) is actual order quantity. So as there is no confirmed quantity on todayu2019s date, it looks like it is creating new line item. But we do we have stock.
We donu2019t have availability check on and we use custom line item and schedule line categories.
Please give some hints on what might be the issue.
There was on post with this kind of issue, but it was closed without answer.
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Hi Srinivas,
So as there is no confirmed quantity on todayu2019s date, it looks like it is creating new line item. But we do have stock.
As per my understanding although you have sufficient stock for the material system may be confirming the quantity in future date because of the forward scheduling. As you know system adds different times while evaluating the  confirmed delivery date. Check the route which system is using.

  • Schedule Line for Make to Order Item.

    Hello
In make to order scenario,  there are 2 schedule lines for the MTO item in create mode of Order. 0 confirm quantity on the req
When I save the order, i can see only one schedule line with confirm quantity 0.

    Hi,
Make-to-order production is controlled by the requirements type. The requirements type is
determined on the basis of the MRP group and the strategy group in the material master record.
 Create material by specifying item category group as 0001 = Make u2013 to u2013 order (Normal item)
In MM01 Basic data tab, General item category field [0001] = Make u2013 to u2013 order, 0002 for configurable
    material
Make u2013 to u2013 order checking group for availability check should be [02] = Individual requirements in Sales:
    General/Plant tab.
 Go to VA01 and raise the sales order by specifying this material that we created in the previous step
    Item category is TAK
    Schedule line category = CP
Requirement type = KE [Sales order Header  Procurement  Requirement field]
KE = Individual customer order without consumption
(For standard items item category group = NORM)
System determines requirement type 041-order/delivery requirements. This requirement type points requirement
class where we can control whether the system has to carryout TOR, Availability check, and Product allocation
    functions.
    Hope this helps.

  • Schedule line date in Sale order for backward sched.

    Dear Experts,
In my MTO Scenario, I want to Use Backward Scheduling, so as any change in Schedule line dates in Sale order shall take effect at least in planned order Stage, i.e in output of MRP,
    But not happening so..
I  have customized OPU5 and checked OPU3 as well,
    Please suggest...
    Regards
    Raghu

    HI Mario,
    Thanks for reply,
I have not worked in this strategy but will try,
What i found was, in Planned orders detailed scheduling tab, the Scheduling type appeares to be Forward, but when i convert it to Production order it shows backward scheduling.
This duel behavior is difficult to understand.

  • 72 hour rule being overrode by schedule line appearing on edi orders.

    Hi team
This is most critical issue i am facing with Schedule line below given is subject line and description of issue in complete way
72 hour rule being overrode by schedule line appearing on edi orders when changing date
resulting in seeing the first date change as a second
where the order is changed within the 72 hour rule window (customer master indication set, EDI order, first change to date, within time frame) but initial date is not overwritte
AS per Business say it is related to schedule line date changes that somehow 'disqualify' the RDD window change, but it should not disqualify the change
    Amit Mahajan

Called BT again. They asked me to run the same speed test as above (Results below). The person said he has found a "network fault" with the exchange and will "monitor" my internet for the next 2 days (which they have said they have been doing for the past 10 days. Why will 2 more days make any difference?). Obviously an engineer is needed to be sent to the exchange to fix a bad installation. Why can't this just be done? Why do they need to monitor for a FURTHER 2 days? After which I'm sure they will book an engineer which will take 2+ weeks to come out. At which point I will have been a month without internet. This is absolutely ridiculous and I'll be cancelling my contract VERY soon if this isn't fixed.
Is there some secret number I can call where I can talk to someone who actually has the ability to do something?

    Hi Experts,
I want to change the schedule line data in sales order. So I Found a BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE.Is it ok if I go with this BAPI or is there some other way?

    HI
Yes it's ok, another solution can be to create a BDC program, but it's better and easier to use that BAPI

  • Planning for Sales orders for quantities greater than forecast in APO SNP

    Hi All,
We have a requirement in which planning in SNP is done based on the forecast  quantity transferred from DP . Demand from Sales orders is not taken into consideration for planning . The PO's are created based on the forecast quantity only SO's consume forecast  . Now a situation arises where we have the sales orders quantity  ( say 400) is more than that of the forecast( say 300 ) , this means  for quantity of 100 no planning is being done by SNP.
We want to know are there any ways of getting the remaining quantity being planned by SNP
The planning strategy used is 40 in ECC
    Thanks in advance
    Regards
    Surendra

    Hi Surendra,
For better control, the forecast quantity should match the sales order quantity for plg strategy 40.  If there are cases when sales order quantity is greater than forecast, you can create a control check in ECC to inform the users who creates the sales orders to get a popup message to create a sales order with rush order type or any other type to track the excess sales orders received against forecast.
In SNP, once this rush order is entered, upon subsequent net change heuristic plan which runs day night, it considers those excess quantities and puts up purchase requisitions and procurement & production can be planned based using those PRs in SNP.
    Please confirm
