  • Scrap confirmation in Co11n

    Dear Gurus,
My prodn order qty is 100.In Co11n or in Co12 i am confirming 90 as yield and 10 as scrap. What is the impact in terms of costing and goods movement. My scenario is a press machine sequence. If 10 pcs are damged during press.the 10pcs will become a scrap material which i will sell to the the different customer in kgs.
    say 1 fg cost 100rs
say 1 rm cost 10 rs.
    operation 10: press1 : yield 90:scrap:10
    operation 20: press1 : yield 90:
    operation 30: press1 : yield 90:
    operation 40: press1 : yield 90:
Please through some light on this issue.

    Hi Guna,
Once the Material is scrapped, it will not be having any value. The quantity can not be seen in the system.
System understands that you will throw the Material out.
Now as per your scenario, there is a scrap of 10PC at Opereation 10.
For the confirmation of Operation 10:
    90 (Yield) + 10 (Scrap).
For the manufacture of 10 Scrap pieces you have consumed the components and activities will also be posted. (here the consumptions are taken care).
Now this material can be collected separately and transferred to scrap yard.
    Now follow below procedure..
    Create a MAterial for Scrap:
Material Type can be : NLAG or PDSO.
    with Valuation Class: 9999.
With reference to this ask your FI consultant to configure the OBYC for this valuation colass.
    Now the scrap sale:
    Create Sales Order: VA01
    Delivery                 : VL01N
    Billing                    : VF01
    Excise Invoice        : J1IIN.
For this Material there will not be any quantity shown in the SAP.
Still you can do the delivery for this as a Sales Process.
The revinue collected in this will be adjusted in the P&L.
It means The consumption and actvities will be capture when you do the Confirmation (CO11n) and the revenues against the scrap will be captured after scrap sale.
As you can not bifurcate different scraps, we generally maintain the scrap material as Metal Scrap and sell it.
Hope this explains the entire scrap process.
    Regards,
    Siva

  • Co-product scrap booking in Co11n

    Hi Experts
whenever we are defining the Co-product into system and maintaining all necessary entries into Master data of BOM & Material Master it is working fine
but when i am going to clear the Co11n screen and there Main product is suppose to take scrap qty 10 piece than 10 pc of co-product should also required to scrap but that will remain open .
what should be treatment for the same.
Order qty of X 100 and co-product ratio into A,B, is 50, 50  now if X is going to scrap in co11n screen after yield qty than A,B should also be required scrap into same screen or other media , but that is open still.
    Rgds
    Pankaj

    Hello Pankaj ,
Scrap which generates in shop floor with reference to Main product
    For co product scrap,
First Confirm all the quantity as yield quantity including scrap,  and good receipt for main product And co product
For CO product scrap, create one separate storage location.
Physically you know the how much rejected qty. Move that qty from accepted str location to rejection str location by using MB1B with 311 mvt. Storage location to storage loc transfer the quantity
Check In MB51 with mvt type 311 with corresponding period, you came to know how much quantities are rejected and 551 mvt materials people scrap that rejected qty
No need to create extra material for component scrap
I hope this information helpful to you

  • Scrap  posting in rem

    Hai gurus,
i am working in rem scenario, currently i want to post 100 nos during final confirmation using T.C. - MFBF,
out of this 90 is accepted and 10 is scrap, how to post the same.
when i did it only accepted qty is posted as i had first given the scrap as 10 nos and given all the detail
like pld order number, plant, sto.loc etc and i had given the yield qyt as 90 and given the other detail like pld
order, plant etc , while doing so , it is accepting only the last given yield qty 90 nos and not the scrap qty,
so the pld order with 10 nos as un consumed remains after MFBF.
kindly give me the solution for the same.
    with regards,
    sekar chand.

    Hai Mr Anupam,
Thanks for your reply, but the point is when i confirm both , first 10 nos as scrap and second 90 nos
as accepted the system accept only 90 as confirmed qty, but the scrap qty is not taken into account,
if the system has taken into account of the 10 nos as scrap ,the scrap qty could not be traced in stock list
    (MMBE).
How to do confirmation when i have both scrap and accepted qty during assembly or while component
    production.
    waiting for your reply.
    regards,

  • Scrapping posting scheme

    Hello gurus,
when scrapping an asset with T-code ABAVN I get the following posting scheme if the asset is not fully depreciated:
    APC Acct C 100
    DEP Acct  D 95
    P&L Acct  D 5
For consolidation purposes (movement type detail for depr. account) i need the following posting scheme:
    APC Acct C 100
    DEP Acct  D 100
    P&L Acct  D 5
    DEP Acct  C 5
Does any one of you have a solution to modify the standard posting scheme?
Thank you in advance for your help
    Best regard
    Pascal

    Hi Blaz,
Thank you for this first answer,
I know the way of modifying the standard posting scheme using the program RAVCBUZSM but I am afraid that this tool will not help me for this specific requirement: I think that I cannot split the account KTNAFB-Ordinary depreciation into debiting and crediting amounts? (In my example, the debit side would be the APC value and the credit side the Net book value).
I tried to assign the indicators 17 & 18 to account KTNAFB without success...
I am afraid that the only way of changing the posting scheme for the ordinary depreciation is to activate one of the FI-AA enhancements?
Could you please confirm my thought or please help me fining another solution,
Thank you in advance for your help
    Best regards

  • Dump due to negative scrap posting

    Hello All,
there is a prod order in which during confirmation co11n, negative scrap was entered and saved.
now when try to open the operation overview in that order, dump error is coming.
dump error also comes if the particular operatiton is opened in co14
    how to solve this..
    Thanks in advance...,
    regards
    Ranjit

    Hi
In CO11n negative Yield/Scrap qty will not accept..
The system prompts you "Qty should not be smaller than 0"  then how you have saved the confirmation.
    Please check and come back..
    Regards,

  • Scrap posting

    Dear All,
in Discrete manufacturing confirmation screen i enter 20 units as yield and 2 as scrap.where system willl post these quantities, i mean yield will go to unrestricted stock if i m using auto goods receipt.
and where scrap quantity will go.
also in rep. manufacturing, where yield and scrap will go

    Hi,
If the scrap code is maintained in the BOM as by-product, then it will appear in the goods movement screen.
As per standard SAP, the operational scrap is not considered by the system. It simply evaporates from the system.
If you need to post the operational scrap, you wil have to use the concept of by-product and post it with Movement 531.
For yield it will get posted as explained in the above post, it will go to the FG store location with 101 movement.
    For further clarifications pls revert.
    Hope that helps too.
    Regards,
    Rohit.

  • Scrap posting in Discrete

    Dear all,
    Scenario is as below:
I have 3 operations. After confirming 2 operations, i move onto last operation, which has a control key allowing auto GR.
Now, in this case, for the last operation, during confirmation, i enter some quantity as scrap; lets say 100 pcs. So what happens to this 100 pieces??
Does any movement happen? Where does it go? And what would be the material code for that?
    Kindly clear the doubt.
    Shrenik

    Hi
We can not view any business wrong just because we do not know the same.
SAP has been built to take care of the business processes around the globe.
In that we can build any  work arounds depending upon the business process.
Just because we do not know, we can not say that particular principle is wrong.
we should be open for the ideas then only we can learn.
    Coming to the present process:
If we want to take scrap as by product we should accordingly built our costing process also.
Normally if we want to take the scrap as by product the cost should be taken as nominal.
The following is the scenarios where we have to stock the scrap also.
In flourescent tube manufacture there is a stage where we have to inject mercury.
By chance after this stage the product gets rejected.
Then that scrap is material of hazardous nature.
Then we have to stock & dispose off to the satisfaction of stutory authorities.
In this case we have to stock the scrap.
The method what I suggested is one of the method  pertaining to  that scenario.
This  I have suggested keeping this in view.
Some body else can implement some other  work around as he thinks fit.
    I hope it is clear.
The method what I suggested is one of the work around.

  • System allows posting of Scrap without even confirmation of an order

    Hello All
Am having a concern here, I checked if the system will allow me to post scrap witout confirming the order, ideally/logically the system shall not allow to do so becuase untill & unless the order is confirmed how the scrap would be generated. But the system allows the posting of scrap witout even confirmation of the order. Kindly suggest me how can i control this behaviour, I dont want that system shall allow to confirm the scrap untill & unless the order is confirmed. Waiting for your vaulable inputs & suggestion.
    Regards,
    J K Tharwani

    Hi Jitender,
Why do you maintain scrap in the BOM as negative qty?
You can give scrap qty in CO11N (mvt 261) or you can scrap the parts using MB1A + 551. You can book extra consumption by MB1A + 261 + PrdOrd reference.
By-product is tend to be maintained in BOM with negative qty.
Of course my knowledge is very limited but I've never heard about such method to scrap materials.
    Thanks,
    Csaba

  • SCRAP DURING CO11N CONFIRMATION

    Dear All,
I am facing client sensitive problem regarding scrap confirmation at CO11N.
As I am having Production Order of 5 qty & having 3 Operation.
Now I have confirmed the first Operation with 5 qty as Yield.
for second operation I confirmed 3 qty yield & 2 as scrap.
for third operation system is allows me to confirmed the 5 qty as a yield. That's should not be allowed logically & practically as well.
& system is allowing to confirmed any no of qty of scrap.i.e more than Production order qty.
Please give your valuble suggesting to clear this issue.
& exact terminology behind the scrap confirmation.
I have already maintained error for overdelivery & underdelivery tolerance in confirmation parameter,
similarly i have not maintained any percentage scrap in BOM & Material master Your immediate reply is highly appreciated
    Thanks & Regards,
    vidyasagar diwate

I checked and found that system is not allowing me enter the any no of qty for scrap for the second operations.
here i confirmed 80 as yield and 20 as scarp in first operation...here this will allow me to enter any no of qty of scrap as this is first operation and will give the warning message for exceeding over delivery (this depends again confirmation settings).
During second operation i confirmed 80 as yield and again 30 as scrap...here i got the error message saying 80 is only allowed.

  • To reduce quantity to be confirmed by posting scrap in process order

    Hi Experts,
Is it possible to use MQC such that the planned quantity in each phase keeps reducing by the quantity of scrap posted in COR6N in the earlier phase. That means if planned quantity in phase 20 is 100 and i post a scap of 10 then in next phase (say 40) system should offer a quantity of 90 in the "yield" field of COR6N screen.
    Regards
    Sm.

    Hi Rupesh,
Can you please assist for below issue
The planned quantity in each phase should  reduce by the quantity of scrap posted in COR6N in the earlier phase. That means if planned quantity in phase 20 is 100 and i post a scrap of 10 then in next phase (say 40) system should offer a quantity of 90 in the "yield" field of COR6N screen.
    eg:- Process order 100 qty
    Phase 20 Confirmation
              Yield 90 & Scrap 10
    Phase 40 Confirmation
Yield should be populated as 90 . (But here system is suggesting Yield as 100 )
Can you gurus throw light here , where am i going wrong ?? , Why instead of 90 qty yield in 2nd Phase /operation to be populated it is appearing as 100 qty ?
& how to use User Exit also if required for Use Exist XCOM0001 EXIT_SAPLCOML_001

  • Urgent: Why system allows the scrap confirmation more than PrdOrd Qty.

Please give your valuble suggesting to clear this issue.
& exact terminology behind the scrap confirmation.
Your immediate reply is highly appreciated
    Thanks & Regards,
    Vijay Mankar

    Hi vijay,
    please try this
    Quantity Calculation for Milestone/Progress Confirmation
Specifies that for milestone or progress confirmations, the quantities (yield, scrap) of automatically generated confirmations are calculated without taking into account the scrap percentage rate of each operation.
If you do not set this indicator, then the planned scrap percentage rate of each operation is taken into account when calculating the confirmed total quantity. In the generated confirmations, the proportional scrap is added to the yield.
If you set this indicator, then the automatic confirmations are posted with the same total quantities as the the milestone or progress confirmation. Scrap is posted as yield in the automatically generated confirmations.
    Example
24 pieces of scrap are planned for an order of 124 pieces. The planned operation quantities are:
    Operation 10 124 pieces, 10% scrap (13 pieces)
    Operation 20 111 pieces, 5% scrap (6 pieces)
    Operation 30 105 pieces, 4% scrap (5 pieces)
You enter a milestone confirmation for operation 30 with 48 pieces for the yield and 2 pieces of scrap. The quantities in the automatically generated confirmations are then calculated as follows:
    Indicator is not set
Operation 10 59 pieces, 0 pieces scrap - automatic confirmation
Operation 20 53 pieces, 0 pieces scrap - automatic confirmation
    Operation 30 48 pieces, 2 pieces scrap
    Indicator is set
    Operation 10 50 pieces, 0 scrap - automatic confirmation
    Operation 20 50 pieces, 0 scrap - automatic confirmation
    Operation 30 48 pieces, 2 pieces scrap

  • Scrap issue....

    hello everybody,
I am new in this forum  and also new in SAP  PP....hence plz understand my level of knowledge.
I am having a doubt in understanding scrap scnario in our company(just joined).
scrap is maintained as byproduct (-ve qty)   in BOM.....thats  ok,while confirming order,we confirm the components but not byprdct, confirmation of byproduct is carried out afterwards keeping yield qty as 0 and confirming only byproducts.
    we practises backflush concept.....
Now comany is trying to plan for COGI,and are planning to remap scrap seario.....
can you plzhelp me in understanding  above scenario, and suggest any other way in it.....
What can be the settings require to configure for cogi......
    RAJSHEKHAR

    Dear Rajshekhar,
just unable to understand ur query
    1) we give in negative qty in BOM which is scrap ( Bi-product)
    2) if your treating this as Bi-product then you should not give any qty in scrap field in CO11N
    3) this will be directly posted with 531 movement type while confirmation
    4) if you give any value in scrap value in CO11N, then system SAP assumes that this is waste
    5) now if ur requirment the records should be stored in COGI,
    6) then go to OPK4, for ur plant & order type combination just double click it
    7) now go to second tab general individual entry, here you have two options
Goods movement & termination for incorrect goods movement ( Just tick both of them ) & save.
    8) now when you do confirmation & if components are not availble then system will throw error
and will not allow you to save confirmation.
