SCSM Exchange Connector not recognizing custom Service Request prefix

Hello,
We have an Orchestrator runbook that brings over "Projects" from our Financial system into Service Manager as Service Request.   As a way to distinguish these as projects we changed the prefix from the default "SR" to "PT". 
In all out testing everything worked fine until we installed the Exchange connector.  It won't recognize any Service Request that starts with a different prefix than "SR" (defined in the system settings).    Does anyone know of
a way to get the Exchange connector to recognize other prefixes?

Hi,
The system uses the only prefix that defined in the settings. There's no way to add support for the second prefix in Microsoft Exchange Connector. But you can create your own custom connector with the required behavior.

    Someone sorted out this issue by installing API 1.2 and copying the dll files to the service manager server ,service folder and replacing it with API 2.0 dll files.

Isn't there any way for me to get those 20 dollars back I already have in your store or at least reset my security questions if I don't rememeber?

    We installed/configured SCSM in ABC domain and now need to use exchange connector for incident alert mail.
    But exchange server is in different domain, say XYZ.
    How do we configure?

    Cannot configure trust at AD level. But in the config article, following points are given.. but not clear on first 2 steps. Also, we did not find option to "navigate to certificate template and right click certificate templates".
    sorry, i dont have much exp with certificates. If steps are described little more clear, would be helpful.
    a.     If your Service Manager management server does not have a trusted relationship with the Exchange Server, open Certificate Services and create a duplicate copy of the Web Server Certificate Template. Ensure that Private Key Export and Publish
    in AD are selected, and then add Read and Enroll permission to Authenticated Users.
    b.     In Certificate Services, navigate to Certificate Template and right-click Certificate Templates. Click New and then click Certificate Template to Issue. Select the template that you created in the previous step.
    c.     In Exchange Server, open the Microsoft Management Console and add the Certificates snap-in for the local computer. Right-click the Personal logical store, and then hover over All Tasks.
    d.     Select Request for New certificate and in the Certificate Enrollment wizard, select Active Directory Enrollment Policy and select the template that you created previously. When you select the certificate, you can click More Information to type
    the Exchange Server’s FQDN name as the common name in the Subject tab. You can also type the FQDN name as the Friendly Name in the General tab.

    To all cellular subscribers, first off, I wish to say I am a proud VZW user. Second, I want to say I am a customer service rep for a competitor carrier. Personally, a few of my coworkers and I believe there really isn't any competition. Thirdly, I want to remind everyone... When you get your bills and you don't understand them, or your service isn't working correctly, try to have your duckies in a row BEFORE you call customer service. We do not work for the company in question, we are a 3rd party outfit that is hired by the big guys (T-Mo, ATT, Sprint, Verizon....) to handle the calls coming in. We are trained, but remember, we are in a call center, some may be overseas, some may be in the US, but our paychecks do not come from the big guys, but our real bosses. Yes, you are customers, just like I am, but before you call us, put yourself in our place. Seriously, if you had to talk to a person over the phone who is yelling and calling you names, would you want to help them?
    So, my request to you is follow the Golden Rule: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. Trust me, staying calm in the face of any hardship will go farther than flying off the handle.

    Yes, my coworker's sister works for the same company we work for  and she handles VZW calls. Also, just the other day, I helped someone cancel her contract with the competitor's company because she was just hired on as a rep with the same company we work for but in a different state. BTW, that new VZW customer/CSR says that the service for Verizon is WAY BETTER than with her old company

    we set up the E-Mail Inbound according to this guide E-MAIL INBOUND CONFIGURATION- ALM: Incident Management - SAP IT Service Management on SAP Solution Manager - SCN Wiki
    The only difference to the Settings of the guide is that we maintained it for the ZMRQ. If we send an E-Mail to the System, then automatically a service request will be created. E.g. In the status "Customer Action" the requester gets an E-Mail with a tracking ID and can reply. But now we are facing a problem, the mail is not linked to the already existing ZMRQ and according to the rule policy again a new ZMRQ is created.
    So we tried in addition to the mentioned guide above also this How to set up Threading in ERMS - CRM - SCN Wiki ,  this linked the ZMRQ to the mail. I am wondering a bit, because I know other systems with working inbound functionality and they are not set-up as in the Threading guide. Furthermore some other issues still exists after the reply the Status of the ticket is not automatically set to "in process", the text fields are not copied etc.
    Now I removed the settings from How to set up Threading in ERMS - CRM - SCN Wiki again, because I think the reason is something else...
    Does anyone know where the tracking ID of the incoming mail is checked? Does this take place in the workflow? I am thankful for every advice!

    I don't own the items purchased anymore...
    For new Apple ID iTunes says something like "This Apple ID has not been used with iTunes yet" and asks me for the credit card details etc
    For testing puproses I've deleted one of the purchased application from my device and iTunes claims that I need to buy it again....

  • Extension not recognizing custom user directory selection

    A while back I created a Dreamweaver plugin called Blackbaud Sphere CMS (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&extid=2430523).  Anyhow during install it provides the user with the options select a custom save directory for KDF files. This directory is referenced when creating template files later on. It was working perfectly fine in Dreamweaver CS4-CS5.5 on OSX and in CS6 it doesn't remember the users directory selection. Haven't checked to see if this was occuring in Windows yet. For now I'm trying to resolve the OSX 10.7.4 with CS6 issue.

  • Service Requests not displaying on Service Request HomePage

    i have been performing operations like inserting new Service Request, Getting list of Service Requests and Updating Service Requests via web service integration.
    Everything was working fine till 2 days ago. Suddenly today my Service Request HomePage does not show any of my earlier service request records??? However, when i filter for them using the SR Number i am able to view them.
    Also i get the list of service requests and i am also able to insert requests but the new records do not show in the homepage. Worst of alll, i am unable to update any of my earlier records bcoz the crm is not able to find the matching SRNumber!
    This is very confusing. Can someone please tell me how i can fix this problem?

  • Ipod classic 120gb not working and service request won't go through

    my ipod has been messed up for awhile now. it randomly started skipping songs and then it started not playing them. so i went to apple's website where it told me to follow the 5 r's which i did, and now it is just showing a red x and tells me to visit apple's website. i made a service request back when it first messed up but was really busy with school and now that i'm done i have tried to make another service request and it keeps saying we're sorry blah blah some kind of problem and to contact apple. unfortunately it's been over 90 days since i bought my ipod back in february and so i don't really want to call and have to pay. my ipod messed up in april so i only had it from feb to april. does anyone know if i can only make one service request or if apple is just having some kind of problem with the request or what the deal is. i would really like to get my ipod fixed considering it wasn't cheap and i've barely got to use it. thanks.

    Have you tried contacting the courier company that collected your iPod in the first instance, or phoning Apple using the number in the "contact us" link at the bottom of this page?

  • VGA connector not recognized

    since I upgraded OS X to Mountain Lion, I cannot use the dual screen function. The connector (which worked fine until the upgrade) is not recognized nor the screen on which is connected my macbook.
    Does anyone has the same issue? How did you fix it?
    I have a macbook 13" white unibody late 2009. I also installed Airparrot as a substitute to the missing airplay mirroring option as Apple decided (unfairly) to make it unavailable for my macbook generation.

    Yes UNFAIRLY, the macbook can easily support airplay mirroring otherwise why airparrot works fine?  I paid for a licence for mountain lion where the airplay mirroring should be integrated. Apple should not restrict access to this option and the argument that the my macbook is too old is fallacious.
    Anyway, here is not a debate on why did Apple dictates who should have this or that while paying the same price!

  • Verizon does not answer customer service issues

    I filed a customer service report two months ago, and received a response stating that the issue was indeed a Verizon error, however I have yet to hear a follow-up.
    My issue is that the coverage map indicates I should have consistent voice and text service at my home address, however this is not the case. I have to drive more than a mile to make any calls and have my SMS inbox sync.

    You are correct! I do show that our coverage map indicate that there should be signal in your area. Since there is not, I have taken the steps to open a trouble ticket with my Network Team to have them investigate this matter. Typically, the turn around time for a trouble ticket is 48-72 hours, so once a solution has been provided for this problem, you will hear back from me personally.
    In addition, you should have received a separate email with the ticket number, but if you didn't, the ticket number is XXXXXXX.
    I look forward to writing you with some good news, so we can retain your business.
    I have been attempting to communicate with live support, who assured me that the ticket would be looked into and they would email me the status of the ticket. Another week has passed and still no followup by Verizon.
    I can't not have service at my house, and Verizon has been entirely neglectful with handling this issue.

  • Customer service is not into customer service.

    Terrible customer service, day one called to upgrade phone, only allow 2 phones of which I did not want. Rep was trying to change and then call was cut off. Never called back. Day 2 called had corporate approval, she would call me back. Never happened. Day 3 called sorry there is nothing I can do. 12 year customer is not important. Facebook Verizon, was told to send a PM and I got 2 responses and then no one ever responded again. Really this company is nothing but apologizing but never making the customer satisfied.

    Go to a store and talk to someone face to face.
