Seeking details on RESULT_CACHE statistics
I'm running 11.2.0.1, and I'm just beginning to look into the server result caching feature introduced in 11g. I'm evaluating the basic effectiveness of queries and the cache by watching query response times and monitoring v$result_cache_statistics. So far, I've found that queries with aggregation work well with the cache, and "SELECT *" queries from small tables also use the cache. Unfortunately, the type of query I really need to work so I can gain the benefit of the speed caching offers often ends up increasing the "Delete Count Invalid" statistic, without providing any benefit. My first assumption was that the cache itself was too small for the query results. My test query uses a table that is roughly 450MB. However, even after increasing RESULT_CACHE_MAX_SIZE to 500MB, the query results were still not cached.
I've read what I can find in the documentation and Metalink about the result cache feature and v$result_cache_statistics, but I haven't found any discussion of what causes some queries to be cached and used (where Find Count increases and performance is obviously improved) and others to not be used (where Delete Count Invalid increases and the query doesn't benefit). Is there another source of information that would explain these statistics and what they mean? The [reference page for the dynamic performance view|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10820/dynviews_2140.htm#sthref3336] doesn't provide the detail I'm looking for.
Thanks -
Wally
Ah! RESULT_CACHE_MAX_RESULT was the key, as far as I can tell. By stretching this out (probably further than it should be stretched, I admit), I am able to see the query results in the cache statistics where I want them, with the corresponding increase in performance.
I acknowledge the previous contributor who questioned my logic in caching such a large portion of the data. At this point, I'm just working to understand the technology and its limitations so I can apply it rationally. To this end, I'm still seeking some documentation that can explain the specific statistics in V$RESULT_CACHE_STATISTICS in greater detail than the Oracle Database Reference http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E11882_01/server.112/e10820/dynviews_2140.htm book offers.
SQL> select * from v$result_cache_statistics;
ID NAME VALUE
1 Block Size (Bytes) 1024
2 Block Count Maximum 512000
3 Block Count Current 512000
4 Result Size Maximum (Blocks) 384000
5 Create Count Success 8
6 Create Count Failure 0
7 Find Count 6
8 Invalidation Count 0
9 Delete Count Invalid 4
10 Delete Count Valid 2
11 Hash Chain Length 1
11 rows selected.I'm currently most interested in numbers 8 through 11, what they represent, what query conditions increment them, and so forth. Any pointers to documentation or Metalink notes along these lines will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Detailed Query Runtime Statistics - Substeps of Data manager Event
Dear All,
I am using the report for 0TCT_MC02_Q0200 to analyse the Detailed Query Runtime Statistics.
The report shows that the Event 9000 (Data manager Event) took a time of 109 seconds.
I would like to know as to what does the 9000 Data Manager Event that takes 109 seconds do for me.
What is it doing for 109 seconds ????
Can I have more details about the substeps of Data manager Event and time taken by them ??? Any Table or a report would suffice my requriement.
Thanks

ShalabhHi Jain,
Execute the query in RSRT or in RRMX. To Check how much time it is taking to execute this querry?? To get this information, Goto SE11> Give table name RSDDSTAT_DM in BI7.0 or RSDDSTAT in BW3.x> Display -> Contents-> Give from date and to date values as today, user name as Ur user name, and give the query name--> execute.
Now u'll get a list with fields like Object name(Report name), Time read, Infoprovider name(Multiprovider), Partprovider name (Cube), Aggregate name... etc. If the time read is less than 100,000,000 (100 sec) is acceptable. If the time read is more than 100 sec then it is recommended to create Aggregates for that query to increase performance.
Here in this table u'll find detailed Query Runtime Statistics.
Hope thsi helps you..

Detail Level in statistics data
Hi Experts,
I came cross recently that there has been a huge data transfer to the infoproviders for statistical data. (0TCT_C01, C02 and others)
I thought that chaging the level of "Statistical Detail Level" from tr. code RSDDSTAT can be a remedy to the problem.
I attempt to change the level from all (2) to Aggregated data only (0).
Do you have any idea what will be affected with this parameter change ?
Thanks..
BernaHi Berna,
The query statistics will be collected at aggregated level rather than detailed level and you can expect to have less number of records flowing into technical content targets.
Just to have a flavour on how the aggregated stats will look like, you can execute a query in RSRT, in Execute and Debug option with the check box 'collect runtime statistics' ticked.
You will be get query statistics granular and aggregated in two different tabs.
Thanks,

Hello All,
Can anyone explain how to execute Garnishment Statistics report . I would like to get the employees numbers with name who have an active Garnishment . when i execute it, i just get Personnel subarea with number of employees who have an active Garnishment. I would like to know, is there a way to get into detail of employee number and name? Appreciate your help. The Garnishment Statistics Report is programmed not to give employee details, but rather Statistics.
Check in SAP's Menu, there is an other Garnishment Report that gives details on employees and their garnishments, including the history of remittances and current debt.
The big caveat is that there is probably strict security on that report as only a few persons should be able to see all that confidential information. -

Process Chain statistics (new stats in 2004s)
Hi,
We have activated and are loading all stats (new ones) for 2004s. We are checking the stats through the portal. We have many stats showing in the default web templates used in the portal to display stats. Process Chain stats are the only ones showing no data...which can't be true because we have only been loading with process chains.
Where do you "activate" stats for Process chains themselves? I am aware of RSPC_API_CHAIN_GET_STATUS, but it appears with 2004s, delivered is a process chain statistics?
Thanks, Mark. For data-load statistics of process chains and processes:
use 0TCT_C21, 0TCT_VC21 and 0TCT_MC21
For more Insights -
The new InfoProviders are:
For more highly aggregated query-runtime statistics:
0TCT_C01, 0TCT_VC01 and 0TCT_MC01
These replace InfoCube 0BWTC_C02.
For more detailed query-runtime statistics:
0TCT_C02, 0TCT_VC02 and 0TCT_MC02
These replace InfoCube 0BWTC_C02.
For data manager statistics:
0TCT_C03, 0TCT_VC03 and 0TCT_MC03
These replace InfoCube 0BWTC_C03.
For data-load statistics of process chains and processes:

For data-load statistics of InfoPackages:
0TCT_C23, 0TCT_VC23 and 0TCT_MC23
These deliver essentially the same information as InfoCube 0BWTC_C05 but they use the new InfoObjects. The remaining new InfoProviders also use the new InfoObjects.
For the current data-load status of process chains and processes:
0TCT_VC11 and 0TCT_MC11
For the current status of requests loaded to InfoProviders, InfoObjects that have been updated flexibly, and PSA tables:

BW Statistics and Technical Content
HI,
I am working on BI 7.0.
I understand both BW statistics and Technical content are used to monitor the system status to improve performance. But what I dont get is teh exact difference between these two.
BW statistics provides the follwing Dataprovider:
0BWTC_C02 BW Statistics - OLAP
0BWTC_C03 BW Statistics - OLAP, Detail Navigation
0BWTC_C04 BW Statistics - Aggregates
0BWTC_C05 BW Statistics - WHM
0BWTC_C09 BW Statistics: Condensing InfoCubes
0BWTC_C11 BW Statistics: Deleting Data from InfoCubes
Whereas Technical content provides following:
0TCT_C03 Data Manager Statistics (Details)
0TCT_C22 DTP Statistics
0TCT_C01 Front End and OLAP Statistics (Aggregated)
0TCT_C02 Front End and OLAP Statistics (Details)
0TCT_C23 Infopackage Statistics
0TCT_C21 Process Chain Statistics
Please advice

but in the following link of 7.0 saphelp, it still shows the BW statistics cube 0BWTC* and so is the confusion whether to use 0BWTC* also aprt from using 0TCT*

Hi All
We have recently upgraded but not the BI cockpit yet (problems setting it up).
We want to reprt on things that were in the 0BWTC_C02 but this no longer collects data.
Is there a way to report on this without having set up the new BI cockpit like does the data sit anywheere else or must we set up the cockpit.
Cheers

Change customer / vendor account group
Hi,
I want to change the account group of a vendor. I tried XK07, but I then get a message about "Critical field groups" that would be switched off in the new target account group and then SAP doesn't let me change the account group.
The "critical field groups", however, are not critical to me at all and they are not relevant to my vendor master account. Does anyone know how to proceed in this case and if it's still possible to change the account group?
Thanks in advance.

Oracle Product Workbench - connection issue with EBS 12.1.3
Hi,
we've upgraded EBS to 12.1.3 and our Product Workbench is no longer able to retrieve the organization info from the server. We're checking the Packet details in Network Statistics in that case an also when View Concurrent Requests is opened and the server sends back the login page. So apparently PWB cannot log in to the server and is requested to enter credentials.
Apache response is:
170.251.121.114 - - [18/Nov/2011:08:48:58 -0500] "GET /OA_HTML/AppsLogin?requestUrl=http%3A%2F%2Febsapp_lab.accenture.com%3A8000%2FOA_HTML%2FOA.jsp%3FpageHidden%3DY%26LanguageCode%3DUS%26page%3D%2Foracle%2Fapps%2Fdna%2Fintegration%2Fwebui%2FDnaIntegrationPG%26ServerDBC%3DPIMDB%26integration_xml%3D%3C%253Fxml%2520version%253D%221.0%22%2520encoding%253D'UTF-8'%253F%3E%26transactionid%3D1530222396%26oapc%3D2%26oas%3DMt4FQpG-HDucayzYKri9lA..&cancelUrl=http%3A%2F%2Febsapp_lab.accenture.com%3A8000%2FOA_HTML%2FAppsLogin&errText=You+have+insufficient+privileges+for+the+current+operation. HTTP/1.1" 302 1620 0 "-" "Oracle Product Data Editor"
To sum up: errText=You+have+insufficient+privileges+for+the+current+operation.
If we log in to the old EBS to 12.1.1 with the same browser and same settings, we don't have that issue.
Any idea of what that can be?
Thanks. Raúl.The issue was a "_" char in the hostname. This must be changed as is not IETF-compliant and therefore not a supported character and is known to cause problems. Refer RFC 952 (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc0952.txt) for more information. This is also documented in Microsoft article Q275033 "Cookies Are Not Saved If the Host Name Is Invalid", this feature was introduced from IE 5.01 SP1 http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;275033

JQuery Mobile and page transitions in Apex - how do they go together?
Hi guys,
I started off on a jQuery Mobile project with APEX - although I am still quite new to both. I have done quite a bit of research, but I haven't found really anything substantial about how they go together.
Rather it appears to me, that both have their own way of dealing, that is to say recieving and sending data. Apex with normal http-requests, just a little AJAX on the side maybe, JQM almost only with AJAX.
So I am running into a lot of trouble, when I use functions like apex.redirect() or .submit(), the $mobile.changePage() mostly doesnt how I want. Page content often stays in the DOM with JQM unwanted, data are sometimes not refreshed properly, or when I close a popup box, an unwanted reload takes place. Events are not bound the usual way, etc. etc.
I certainly thoroughly have studied the JQM documentation, looked through many other tutorials and blogs, but basically I still lack in a lot of basic understanding, especially the communication between JQM and APEX - after all, the APEX Smart Phone UI from 4.2 is still quite new. And all tutorials about data management with JQM deal with JSON objects or XML - methods we can't get into due to time reasons.
I have two questions to the community:
A) Is it really recommendable to use a JQM framework with the "normal" page-show and page-submit events, that APEX delivers? Or if not recommendable, is it practical?
B) Maybe some experienced users here can hint me to some recourses that specifically deal with the issues I mentioned above: e.g. How does JQM handle the urls it gets, when you use the APEX javascript functions? What global JQM settings are recommendable when using APEX, or what object-parameters should you use in the $.mobile.changePage() call?
And one specific problem I just ran into: How does JQM treat Page-0 items? I use them for global application control, but for some strange reasons, they sometimes seem to be resettet.
So these are a lot of questions, but I don't seek detailed answers here, rather some general guidence and advise. Any help is most appreciated.
So long, with best regards,
tobi
Edited by: TobiP on 14.02.2013 13:41I will up this thread one time - what I normally wont do. But if noone can give any hints here this would be a really bad sign.
I have kept on looking for those topics, but I still haven't found anything that goes into detail regarding APEX and JQM.
Also one last wierd situation I would like to relate, that just occured: I submit a page with apex.submit('CREATE'), the dml-processing takes place, there is an unconditional branch after the processing back to that page, so it should be reloaded and refreshed - but it doesn't. Instead when I open a select list (JQM popup style), then the page gets refreshed, and the popup wont close anymore. I have no explanation for this. I hope, anyone can give me any hints.
Thanks very much,

WLC 5508 - User's Signal Strength
Dear All,
How do i find the signal strength of per user in cisco wlc..?
Thanks in advancePlease go to
monitor-> client summary->current client-> details->click mac address- get the SNR details under client statistics. -
What does this metric in WCS tell us, exactly? I could not find an explenation in any of the guides.
This is found on the Radio Details - On Demand Statistics page of each WAP.I found this to be a good explanation of SNR Cutoff recommendations which this graph seems to relate to. Basically it tells you for the radio
what SNR the clients are reporting for that AP radio. This gives you an idea of the percentage of clients that are hearing it at a good level versus a bad level.
http://www.wi-fiplanet.com/tutorials/article.php/3468771
You may want to ask specific questions regarding power and design in a forum more related to that since I am answering this from the WCS side.
