Selection report for action processing in background
Hi,
in GTS-Export you have the possibility to start an activity with a selection report. Exist already an example report in the system or have somebody an example available?
Thanks.
Kind regards

Report for open process orders
Dear SAP experts,
As the period of the process order from open to close is not short, will take 1 or 2 months in our business case, so we want to find a report which can get the information just like the output of KSPP(for planned orders) .
I tried to analysis the logic of program KSPP, and it seems the function modules based on the planned orders only.
Is there any way to get the similar report for open process orders?
Many Thanks,
Lisa YaoIs there any clues?

Reports for Complaint Processing IS-Retail
Hi gurus
Is there any report or T code which shows history of complaints in SAP IS-Retail
Your help in this regard will be greatly appreciated
Regards
SriHi Sakthi,
Actually, i done as per the Empties processing Building Block, as per the BPPs:
Process Flow is:
Step 1: Assigin empties articles to Full products as component in Basic Data View in Article Master Record (T.code:MM42)
Step 2: Create Purchase order for full product to External Vendor, automatically the componenets has be to exploded with Return item active. (only components will be marked as Return Active)
Step 3: Goods Receipt from Vendor to DC.
Step 4: Stock Transport Order from DC to Store. ( Here also, components will be activated as Return Item)
Step 5: Goods Receipt in Store
Step 6: Return the empties articles (component) to DC. (T.Code: MB01 )
In my case, since the Return Item is not activated for components in Purchaser order or STO, i not able to return the empties in T.Code:MB01
If, required please give ur mail id, i will send the BPP document for Empties Processing to you id.
Thanks

Target Vs Acual Cost Comparison for multiple process orders
Dear SAPians,
I want to take a report for target vs actual cost for all process orders and product cost collectors created in a particular period. I have checked the standard report KKBC_ORD that serve my purpose but for a single order. I want the same report for multiple process orders and product cost collectors.
Is there any standard report or should I create a report painter report. I have tried to create a report painter report based on library 7KO, but target cost was not showing for selected order.
Kindly suggest.
ShiraziTarget Costs are available in library 601 for internal orders (and can be used for process/production orders).

Setting timeout settings for Action Scripts
We are using OIM 11gR1 along with the AD and Domino connectors. We are also using Action Scripts to perform some post create actions on the AD and Domino resources that get created by OIM. The action scripts are being invoked with the correct set of parameters and they do their job. However for both connectors, the connector server (Java connector server for Domino, .NET connector server for AD) times out when waiting for the script to complete. Our scripts are expected to take a long time (30+ seconds).
Based on our testing, the AD connector times out in 30 seconds, and the Domino connector times out in 20 seconds. You would get the below exception in your Java Connector Server log file:
Dec 4, 2013 2:36:41 PM org.identityconnectors.framework.api.operations.ScriptOnConnectorApiOp runScriptOnConnector
FINE: Exception:
java.lang.RuntimeException: Timeout waiting for action, process was terminated
at org.identityconnectors.domino.WinJni._executeWinCommand(Native Method)
at org.identityconnectors.domino.WinJni.executeWinCommand(WinJni.java:31)
at org.identityconnectors.domino.ScriptOnConnector.executeCmdScript(ScriptOnConnector.java:143)
at org.identityconnectors.domino.ScriptOnConnector.runScriptOnConnector(ScriptOnConnector.java:88)
at org.identityconnectors.domino.DominoConnector.runScriptOnConnector(DominoConnector.java:316)
Is there any way to configure OIM so that it waits longer for the action script to complete. The real problem over here is that if 2 users are being provisioned to AD and/or Domino simultaneously (we use access policies to trigger provisioning rules), then the connector (Java or .NET) does NOT invoke the action script for the second user if the action script for the first user times out. It does however create AD/Domino resources for all applicable users. This in itself is a defect - but I need a workaround.
Looking at some old Sun Identity Manager documentation (which became Oracle Waveset), it seems that the entire OIM concept of action scripts has its origins in Sun Identity Manager/Oracle Waveset. And these products did support the notion of timeouts. Have a look at :
http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E19225-01/821-0092/bzbuc/index.html
Does anyone familiar with Oracle OIM code know if custom timeouts are supported by AD and Domino connectors?
Thanks

Scheduling WebI reports for Dynamic Prompts
Hi All,
Please find my requirement
Scenario 1:-
I am having 30 Different Process Code ( 10 –OAR; 20 – Credit USA; 40 – New Sales etc.) in our project.
Currently I am developing a single report for each “Process Code”. (Total 30 Reports – Templates and query will be 98% same except for different Process Code).
Let us assume that “End user” will not have BO Access. So all the developed reports will be scheduled and sent to the corresponding end user as BO PDF format.
Our Requirement:-
In near future, we will be getting “New Process Code” in data. So the End User wants report for “New Process Code” also.
Is there a way so that we can automate BO to pass each and every Process Code separately to existing BO report and get multiple instance BO PDF output report (One for each Process Code)?
Please give me some solution to achieve this.
Thanks and Regards,
ThariniHi Arijit,
Thank you for your response. Irrespective of the recipients i need to pass dynamic parameters separately to existig BO report and should get multiple BO Pdf output for all recipient.
Currently I am having only 30 values. So as of now I can pass these 30 values separately to BO WebI report and Schedule separately for 30 instances.
What if i get 2 New values (Value 1, Value 2) next week and want to view the BO Pdf reports for these 2 values separately (2 New Reports for Value 1 and Value 2 separately)?
How I can achieve these? Is it possible with publishing? If so, please explain it to me.
Thanks,
Tharini -
BackGround Task to execute report is 'IN PROCESS'
Hello Experts,
I have developd a workflow where i have added a task which will execute a report in background as code below -
SUBMIT rhakti00
USING SELECTION-SCREEN 1000
WITH SELECTION-TABLE rspar
AND RETURN.
The output of the report is not relevant for my req so i dnt need to display the output of report after thts y i want to run this report in background.
Now,while executing the task ,the report has started executing in background perfectly but tht task remain in 'IN PROCESS' status. When i checked the tRFC for that task so its showing me mesaage that - "Screen output without connection to user."
Plz suggest how to complete my background task.

Clean Job: Guided Procedures - Locked Objects & Background Action Process Q
I opened this thread also in Portal Content Development thread,
but I think its more useful here:
Hi Experts,
We are running several Workflows on our Portal, they often lock objects and use the background action processor queue.
You can unlock these objectes manually by selection 'Unlock Objects' (which is below Guided Procedures - Administration)
And you can delete the successfull processed action queues (Guided Procedures - Administration - Maintain Queues).
Is it possible to this in a weekly running job? All objects should be unlocked, the queue should only be deleted for actions which where processed successfully and are older then a date.
Is this possible?
Thanks for any help,
ChrisHi Sitarama,

<br/>Thanks very much for your fast reply. Yes, the smartforms are custom-built. Besides the deadlock error, there still has some errors in SP01 says "Could not pass request to host spool system". But it previews wonderfully in SP01. The detailed SP01 error log is like below:

What do you mean parallel processing on table level? The smartforms extract data from different SAP tables and then transfer to smartform interface, then they can added in form pages. Do you think this results parallel processing towards tables?

Thank you and hope to hear more from you.

How to create a report with selection screen that can run in background
Sorry to ask these basic questions but I am knew to ABAP Programming.
To keep it simply, I am attempting to create a report that has a simple parameter driven selections screen with one field. That field takes in a folder path from the user. The user executes the report. The report creates a simply BDC that goes into SE16, gathers data from a table, and exports the results to a text file using the folder path provided. I created a variant for the folder path field in the selection screen hoping to use it while executing the report in the background. The report is not exporting the file as it did when run in the foreground for some reason.
I am wondering what event is triggered when a report is executed in the background. In the foreground (or when I execute the program via SE38->Execute->With Variant) the user needs to execute the program by hitting the execute button once the variant has populated the folder path field. It works then, so I am trying to get the same to work in the background. I am thinking I didn't put the program together correctly to accommodate the running in the background. How can you create a report that can accept user input via variant into a selection screen and then run in the background?
Please, any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks you all for reading this!!!Ok, finally I understand what you're doing. Initially you lost me with the SE16 reference...
Not sure what you're trying to achieve overall, but apart from the fact that you cannot export/download a file to a user's PC via background job (unless you have a mapped network share on the server or something like an FTP server on the user's PC, but both are pretty hypothetical scenarios and unlikely to occur).
Also, the BDC approach to get data via SE16 is pretty awkward. Note that SE16 is guarded by some authorization checks and often users won't have access in production (which might not matter if you intend to always run your program in background via dedicated batch user). However, I have no clue why you wouldn't want to use [open SQL|http://help.sap.com/abapdocu_70/en/ABENOPEN_SQL_READING.htm] to read the data. You could then save it on the application server or if you really have to get it to the user you can consider e-mailing the file (extracts should be compressed before sending). For the latter you'll find plenty of references here, basically it's the [business communication services|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/2d/1c5d3aebba4c38e10000000a114084/frameset.htm] that you'd need to look at. -
Data of alv report in excel file in background processing using open datas
Hi Experts,
I have developed report for purchase register . if i execute this report in background process i am not able to get the downloaded file in excel and output is also not coming properly, columns are going to overlap.
i used open dataset read dataset and close dataset but still problem is not solved. so if anyone have code with this and also which will have concatenate statement in the code send it.
Regards,
RahulHi Rahul,
Ur code shud be like below:
DATA : l_filename2 TYPE string,
v_extn.
SPLIT p_filename AT '.xls' INTO l_filename2 v_extn.
CONCATENATE l_filename2 'downloaded' INTO l_filename2 SEPARATED BY '_'.
CONCATENATE l_filename2 'txt' INTO l_filename2 SEPARATED BY '.'.
OPEN DATASET l_filename2 IN TEXT MODE FOR OUTPUT ENCODING DEFAULT.
IF sy-subrc <> 0.
MESSAGE e499(sy) WITH text-e02.
ENDIF.
LOOP AT it_order_number INTO wa_order_number.
TRANSFER wa_order_number TO l_filename2.
ENDLOOP.
CLOSE DATASET l_filename2.
Now, go to tcode AL11 and check it in the Application server itself.
Hope this helps,

Hi: I'm analyzing this STATSPACK report: it is "volume test" on our UAT server, so most input is from 'bind variables'. Our shared pool is well utilized in oracle. Oracle redo logs is not appropriately configured on this server, as in 'Top 5 wait events' there are 2 for redos.
I need to know what else information can be dig-out from 'foreground wait events' & 'background wait events', and what can assist us to better understanding, in combination of 'Top 5 wait event's, that how the server/test went? it could be overwelming No. of wait events, so appreciate any helpful diagnostic or analysis. thank you very much!Hi: just know it now: it is a large amount of 'concurrent transaction' designed in this "Volume Test" - to simulate large incoming transaction volme, so I guess wait in eq:TX - row is expected.
The fact: (1) redo logs at uat server is known to not well-tune for configurations (2) volume test slow 5%, however data amount in its test is kept the same by each time import production data, by the team. So why it slowed 5% this year?

Standard PNP selection screen problem in reason for action type
Hi all,
We have used standard PNP in one of our report program.
The input for 'Reason for Action' (excluding a particular reason for action ) has no effect on the actual selection of data from the PNP. i.e. even if a particular reason for action is excluded in the selection, record pertaining to that action for reason is still picked in the PNP selection and passed on to the program through Get PERNR statement.
The above problem seems to affect all the standard and custom HR Reports as well.
Please advise on how exactly the excluding of a particular reason for action work in selection through PNP and is there anyway to solve the problem.
eagerly waiting for your response.
Thanking You,
Regards.
DeepakThanks for your response,
We tried but it did not work.
Our code is as follows,
INITIALIZATION.
W_REPID = SY-REPID.
PERFORM CREATE_RANGES.
START-OF-SELECTION.
GET PERNR.
RP-PROVIDE-FROM-LAST P0000 SPACE PN-BEGDA PN-ENDDA.
PERFORM GET_DATA.
END-OF-SELECTION
If you could give us your email id, we would email the screen shots of the selection screen and the output.
