Hi,
I have a GTC which is run as a scheduled task to create a user in OIM. I want to send am email to the user once the new account is created from the scheduled task, the email needs to contain the user account and password. For developing such a process should the email definition be of Type Provisioned( so that I map it to Scheduled task) or do I need to make it as a General type. Can some one please explain this process in detailHi, I followed the following process for sending an email when the Scheduled task is completed :
a. Create a Resource Object RO1 and a Provisioning Process definition for RO1.
Add a task say, Email, to process definition.
b. Open the email task and click the Notifications tab.
c. Click Assign to bring up the list of Email Definitions.
d. Select the Email Definition defined in step 2 above and assign it to the task.
e. Check for - Requester, User and User Manager and map the status to 'C'.
f. In the RESPONSE tab, Set the response as 'C' and set Status field as complete.
g. In the TASK TO OBJECT STATUS MAPPING, make the object status to provisioned.
h. In the Integration tab, add System adapter 'tcCompleteTask' and save.
But even after this the email does not go to the user whose account has been created. Kindly advice -

How to trigger a custom code when user log in?

We are using multiple sharepoint sites at work. Users log in with AD accounts, so they dont see any login page.
I need to run a custom code when user login to website. Event receivers do not help at this point. Any suggestions?

From your description, my understanding is that you want to trigger some custom code when users log in SharePoint.
As a solution, you could customize a login page for your SharePoint, then you could trigger your code.
You could also use httpmodule to monitor user login. Please refer to this article about how to use httpmodule:

even though this option is disabled designer workflow task creation sends an email to the user when task is assigned to the user.
We have october CU updates 2013.

Per my knowledge, if the task is created from a workflow, then you may use the task actions in the workflow.
And some task actions will send an email to the user who the task is assigned to, so the email is sent from the workflow and it is not sent from the option “Send email when ownership is assigned”.
If you are using 2013 workflow, the send email action cannot be prevented from the workflow.
If you are using 2010 workflow, you can go into the task process to delete the Send an Email action.

I Implemented the built in approval work flow in a document library,I want to send an email when the column indicating the status of the workflows changes from in progress to approved.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to send email when the built-in approval workflow status was approved.
For the default built-in approval workflow, per my knowledge, there is not a way to modify it. As a workaround, you can create a Reusable Workflow with SharePoint Designer 2010, and publish it to your SharePoint, then you can use it like the built-in approval
workflow.
You can do as the followings:
Install SharePoint Designer 2010.
Open your site with SharePoint Designer 2010.
Click Workflow under Navigation.
Click Reusable Workflow, and type a name.
Add “Start Approval Process” action, in the ‘these user’ , type the approvers.
Click ‘Approval’ field, and under Customization, click “Change the behavior of a single task”.
On the “When a Task Completes”, add “Send an Email” action in the approved condition,like the screenshot below.
Then save and publish the workflow, then you can use the workflow in your SharePoint site .

Unable to capture trace, when user logs in throuigh Web Interface
The Trace shows 'No Records Found', when user logs in through Web Interface of CRM. But there is Trace found, when the same user logs in through logon pad and carries out normal actvities.

Is there any setting in ST01, through which i can get trace , when user logs in through Web Interface
RegardsST10 traces 1 instance only.
Your CRM web interface could use another instance than your backend. Go to transaction SM21, choose the appropriate server and run ST10 again.

Cannot send email when clicking lonk on web page
I cannot send email when clicking link on web page.
When I would click the link to send via email I was being directed to hotmail to open new account.
Today the tech tried to assist me and completely messed up my email capabilities by setting up
windows live account.
I am thoroughly disgusted with FIOS internet services..Every time I've called them in the past month problem has been with someone else whose portal services they are using.
I cannot send emails because all my contact information cannot be moved.
I'm paying for FIOS internet service that is almost non existent.
THe VZ in home agent doesn't work nor does the FIOS information site.
My next move is to get rid of FIOS.

Why am I unable to send email when away from my home wifi ? I am able to receive mail OK, and have double- checked the outgoing server which is correct. This problem is consistent with my Macbook Pro, iPhone, and iPad2.
Attempts to send messages results in them sitting in the Outbox and never- ending 'sending message' displayed.
I am able to send using my me.com server.
Home service provider is Cogeco.

Sending email to user using the notification template in OIM 11g
Hi all
I have created a Notification Template using web console in OIM 11g.
Iam able to access the contents from notification template in my java code.
But iam not able to find the correct api's to send email to user using the notification template
(like tcEmailNotificationUtil using this class we can connect to email template created in design console and creating IT resourse we can send email to user using the method sendEmail).

"The Notification Event is defined through a XML file that must be loaded into MDS database." - in which path and in what name it should be.
Because under /metadata/iam-features-notification, i couldnt see any event Xml present. I thought atleast we could see the existing OOB notification template's event xml files.
Please let me know if you are aware.

Issue where the cart is empty when user logs back in
Having issue where the cart is empty when user logs back in
Steps:
1. User logs into the site
2. User selects items and the cart is updated
3. User logs out of their account
4. User exits/closes the browsers
5. User then reopens the browser, navigates to the site, logs in and the cart is empty
My understanding is that the cart should be populated with the previous items since the user did not complete the order.
I have the following settings:

Observateion:
If an anonymous user comes to the site, adds items to the cart, leaves the site and comes back - the cart is empty - the order repository is not updated
If a user logs into the site, adds items to the cart and then exits the browser (does not log out), comes back to the site, the selected items are in the cart
If a usr logs into the site, adds items to the cart, logs out of the site, exits the browser, comes back to the site, the selected items are not in the cart
An order does not get presisted to the repository until the order is confirmed.
Based on the last item that explains why the user is not seeing any anything in their cart when they log out. If they do not log out, I assume then that the content of their cart is stored in the cookie.
So, now the question is - why is this happening - I am not the original author of the site - just trying to get some things fixed on it. -

Depends on the email account. If it is from your Internet provider they may only allow use of their SMTP server for sending emails when on their network. To send emails when not on their network (i.e. when using Cellular data) it would require using a different SMTP server.
