Sender File adapter - DataTime stamp at the end of aarchived file name

Hello,
I am archiving the file once PI file sender adapter picks the file from source directory.
The file is archived in the archive directory as <Date-Time-SSS_>FileName.
I need to append the value <Date-Time-SSS_> after the file name.
So archived file looks like FileName_<Date-Time-SSS>
How can I achieve this? Appreciate your help for valuable suggestions.
Thanks,
Namadev

Hi Namdev,
Generally when we archive file then in sender CC we just put the processing mode as Archive and specify the Archived directory name in Archive Directory section. in that case when the Communication channel pick the source file then after picking it it remove it from source directory and put it into Archived directory without making any change in the file name.
so if the file name is A.txt then in Archived directory also its name will be A.txt . However if you want to make any change in the name of the source file in the archived directory then you have two write Unix or DOC scrpt( depending upon your soure server )
if your source server is Unix then write shell script otherwise dos scriprt
.after wrtting the shell script just place in the archived directory or your source directory and call it in by mentioning it in Coomand Line section of your sender CC. You can easily search and get the required  shell script .

  • Accessing the sender file name in the response email

    Hi,
    I have an asynchronous proxy scenario wherein I am calling an outbound proxy within an inbound proxy.
    Basically a file is sent from an external partner and response is sent back to them if there are any errors. Also email notification will be sent and that email should include the sender file name so that they can know which file is erroneous and can resend that file after making changes. Any help will be appreciated.
    Many Thanks.

    Hi,
    Have a look just two threads below yours !!
    File recr Adapter : How to set target directory based on sender interface ?
    See "Adapter-Specific Message Attributes" for a Sender File Adapter
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/EN/e3/94007075cae04f930cc4c034e411e1/content.htm
    I suppose your flow is:
    1. File -> PI -> proxy_req     (request)
    2. proxy_resp -> PI -> Mail   (response)
    Thanks to "Adapter-Specific Message Attributes" ofr a Sender File Adapter, you will be able to store filename in DynamicConfiguration and then you will able to use a UdF to catch the source file and provide it somewhere in your proxy_req.
    After for the returned flow "2. proxy_resp -> PI -> Mail   (response)", your proxy_resp has to returned to PI the filename providen with the 1st step.
    And then, In PI you will be able to send by email the source filename.

    Hi Chinna,
    Use this code
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
    SimpleDateFormat dateformat = new SimpleDateFormat("yyyyMMdd");
    String timestamp = dateformat.format(new Date());

  • Configure receiver file name as Sender file name

    Hi All,
        In PI7.1.  We have scenario(file to file). Here the sender system send multiple files and In the receiver system we need to populate the same filenames as Sender file Names.
    Could you please let me know is there a configuration to have Receiver file schem name As like sender file names.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Naga.

    Hi Naga,
    This can be achieved using either variable substitution or Dynamic Configuration by enabling Adapter Specific Message Attributes in sender and receiver file channels.
    If the sender file name and receiver file name needs to be exactly same then just check Adapter Specific Message Attributes in advanced tab of both sender and receiver channels. Check on File Name under that.
    Lot of help over this is already available in sdn, kindly serach and you will get lot of helpful blogs and wikis

Now i am able to send the file but the flat is getting converted as an xml file. is there any method to keep the same sender file name and type for receiver mail attachment. i am not using any mail package. i am using XI payload and keep attachments.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    Yes,With out using the mail package u can send the Mail Attachments to the receiver side,
    In that case no need of Integration Repository objects.

  • 0000 on the end of a subTexture name in the sprite sheet generator

    How can I get rid of the 0000 on the end of a subTexture name in the .xml atlas file created sprite sheet generator? (I'm using the Sparrow v2 option) is there anyway to stop that form being tacked on?
    Thanks for any help.

    Hi Terry,
    You mentioned DNS servers. I see a DNS tab in the Network settings control panel. Right now there is a single IP address in the DNS Servers list. But just about everything in this control panel is mumbo jumbo to me. I know barely enough to keep myself operational, but I'm often hesitant to monkey around in there. I'm happy to listen, however, if you want to clarify further.
    DNS is the system that converts the human-readable web addresses into things (namely the IP address) that computers can use to find the other computers out there on the internet. Think of it as being like a phonebook - say you need to call Bob, you'd check the phonebook to find out his number to call him.
    So, for example:
    - say you type www.apple.com into the web browser
    - the browser then makes a request to the DNS asking for the location of the Apple web server (it's IP address)
    - the browser then uses this IP address to contact Apple and request the page
    In Charter's case, when you type just 'apple', instead of their DNS servers returning that the address does not exist, they instead redirect you to their search pages instead.
    So, if you specify different non-Charter DNS address (the ones I mentioned above are from Verizon), you should avoid the problem you are seeing. Make a note of your existing entry if you're worried about replacing it and then you can change it back should this not improve things.
    Hope that makes more sense, but yell if not

  • Sender jms adapter-archiving before processing the message

    Hi,
    Do we have any option in Sender JMS adapter to archive the message before processing the message?
    I have searched in sender JMS adapter (XI7.0) settings, but couldn't find any option.
    My assumption is whether any option provided in configuration setting of adapter engine or any other alternatives.
    Thanks,
    Srini.

    Hi Srini.
    Here is the code. But you may prefer the EAR module, just for deploy. I need your email to send it to you.
    If you want to create it yourself follow the steps in this guide and paste the code:

    When you configure the module in the JMS sender communication channel you have to spedify 2 parameter for the log file location:
    "file.path" (XI server file system path) and "file.name"

  • How to send an Email with content at the end of a Quiz?

    Hello,
    i have three Questions about the navigation function "sending an Email" at the end of an Test or Quiz, and i haven´t found any answers in the forum yet.
    An Information at the beginning:
    I want to use the Test without any other System, for example Moodle. It will be directly reachable with a link on a homepage.
    1) Is it possible, to send an Email with answers of the User as the content in the email, and if it´s possible, how?
    2) If it´s not possible, could i precast a Text in the email? Until now, there is only an empty Outlook-Window with the Emailadress.
    3) Is it possible, to send an Email without Outlook, so a User can use it only web-based, for example with gmx, webmail etc...
    Thank you for helping me

    Hallo,
    Zholmar

    Sooo, which method are you wanting to use?
    Earlier I outlined the steps for the close project at end.
    If you are wanting to use the JavaScript solution, you insert a button. Then in the action, you tell the button to execute JavaScript. Then you click the Script Window button and enter the window.close(); code.

  • Condition check (based on sender file name) at receiver determination step

    Hi,
    My scenario is File to AS2 (Sender side file adapter and receiver side AS2 adapter)
    We have 5 customers, but the source location is same to pick the files, Here we are not using any ESR objects.
    Based on the source file name PI need to determine to whoom this file need to send at receiver determination step
    Craeted objects
    1 Sender CC,
    1 Sender agreement,
    1 Receiver determination
    5 Interface determinations
    5 Receiver agreements
    5 Receiver CCs.
    Could you please provide me your valuable inputs.
    Thanks
    Ramesh

    Hi Venkataramesh,
    I understand your scenario as, picking files (different file naming standard for different target customer) from one source folder. Based on file name, that payload should be sent to corresponding target customer. You have mentioned u201CHere we are not using any ESR objectsu201D. I can see two reasons for this decision
    1. PI is used to route the messages, i.e., no need to transform the payload. OR
    2. Files can binary files like PDF, ZIP, JPG, GIFu2026
    Now I can see two possible solutions
    1.     Simple solution, as proposed by u201CPrabhu Rajesh Janardananu201D, make it into 5 different scenarios  (5 sender channels).
    2.     Bit complex solution, only one sender channel, using extended receiver determination
    Step 1:- In Sender File channel check u201CAdapter u2013 Specific Message Adapteru201D in Advanced tab. File Name should be checked.
    Step 2:- In Receiver Determination, Select Type of Receiver Determination as u201CExtendedu201D. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi711/helpdata/en/48/ce2a423a8e5430e10000000a42189b/frameset.htm
    Step 3:- Do a Graphical Mapping (use it Operation Mapping in Receiver Determination).
    Step 4:-
    Source and target of graphical mapping will be same (below), because you donu2019t want to access input payload (it can be XML, flat file, JGP, GIF and you donu2019t have its structure).
    <Receivers>
       <Receiver>
          <Party agency="" scheme=""></Party>
          <Service></Service>
       </Receiver>
    </Receivers>
    Step 5:- Write a UDF in Graphical mapping as below. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwpi71/helpdata/EN/43/03612cdecc6e76e10000000a422035/frameset.htm Pay attention to method declaration
    public String Determine_Receiver( Container container) throws StreamTransformationException
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create(u201Chttp://sap.com/xi/XI/System/Fileu201D,u201CFileNameu201D);
    String valueOld = conf.get(key);
    //Put your logic here
    if (valueOld.equal(u201Cuser1u201D)) {
    return u201Cuser1u201D;}
    if (valueOld.equal(u201Cuser2u201D)) {
    return u201Cuser2u201D;}
    if (valueOld.equal(u201Cuser3u201D)) {
    return u201Cuser3u201D;}
    Step 6: Now use this UDF to map to u201CReceiveru201D and u201C Serviceu201D.
    This solution need more fine tuning.

  • Dynamic Sender File Name

    Hi,
    It’s a File to ABAP Proxy Scenario.
    The files would be processed differently depending on the file name which would be dynamic.
    It would suffice if the file name can be made visible in the payload.
    Does any one have any idea on how to implement this without creating a file adapter module? This method would make it complex.
    Thanks,
    Rosine.

    Hi,
    If yor are on SP14,
    pls have alook at below blog.
    /people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/11/10/xi-the-same-filename-from-a-sender-to-a-receiver-file-adapter--sp14
    if you are lesser SP level, than
    1. you can ask for the file name in payload from source.
    2. You have to use adapter module for the same.

    Kumar,
    Write <b>UDF</b> with <b>no input</b> parameters.
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container

    Make sure that u checked the Adapter specific message attributes in both comm.channel.

  • Sending File as attachment using Mail adapter with naming convention

    Dear All,
    I am working on a scenario in which my sender file adapter is sending one file named 'ABC.ok' in one of the folders in application server. I have to send the same file with the same name  to one of the folders at FTP and also to my customer at his email id.
    I have used File Content onversion at the receiver side and has selected adapter specific attributes due to which the required file is getting generated at FTP folder with the same name as that of the source. But how to send the same file using the mail adapter by keeping same name as "ABC.ok". Kindly guide me out in this.
    Regards,
    NJ

    what you need to do:
    1) Select ASMA in Sender and receiver File CC...already done
    2) Using the Dynamic Config UDF get the sender file name in the field Content-Type...for this you need to have a return statement in your UDF
    3) now before pushing this file name to the Content-Type you have to append (concat)the actual type of the file content (xml, txt)
    so your entire Content-Type node will have something like text/plain; name="abc.ok"
    SAP Note has reference on how to do this:
    https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/856599
    From the note:
    Q: How can I set the file name of a mail attachment?

  • Sender File Adapter Error reading file

    Hello!
    I have a problem with reading a file using the FTP adapter.
    I have configured everything according to the steps of weblog "FILE to JDBC Adapter using SAP XI 3.0" (/people/sap.user72/blog/2005/06/01/file-to-jdbc-adapter-using-sap-xi-30).
    I know the sender FTP adapter can connect to the directory and file because:
    1) it has complained about wrong format in the content conversion (has been fixed)
    2) when there is no file for it there to pick up, the FTP flag in the adapter monitor is green
    When I put a file in the specified directory I get the following error:
    - 2006-06-21 09:52:23 CDT: Retry interval started. Length: 10.000 s
    - 2006-06-21 09:52:23 CDT: Error: Retrieving file 'test_file.dat' failed unexpectedly: FTPEx: Public: The system cannot find the file specified.
    - 2006-06-21 09:52:20 CDT: Processing started
    - 2006-06-21 09:52:13 CDT: Error: Retrieving file 'test_file.dat' failed unexpectedly: FTPEx: Public: The system cannot find the file specified.
    - 2006-06-21 09:52:10 CDT: Processing started
    I also get the same error if I skip the content conversion and put a "ready" XML file there.
    There should be no auth problems at all. Public server, and I can log on, get, put, delete etc. Also it can apparently read it since it can complain about the content format. Anyone seen this before?
    Please advise. Thanks!
    Nam

    Hi Nam,
    Is your User Id and User Id/Password is correct ?
    Is connection mode is per file transfer in File Adapter configuration?
    Also you can see the log from Visual Admin..

  • Case Insensitive File Names in Sender File Adapter

    Hi,
    I've tried my best to search SDN on this issue with no help...
    My sender file name can have any case (upper or lower) e.g.
    ABC_123.txt

    or
    aBC_456.txt
    However configuring the file name in the sender file channel as 'ABC*' did not work
    only files with name starting with the capital letters ABC got picked up and lower case did not get picked up...
    any suggestions on how this can be overcome
    Thanks

    what if my file name has to be F0215DBFR* ??
    should I give 4*4 = 16 combinations ?
    looks funny... but feasible..
    was hoping SAP has a standard solution like

    Anywise.. thanks a lot for your help Satish.. will use this technique (16 combinations for my req..)
