Sending emails from workflow to Outlook

Hi,
I have a couple of questions regarding generating emails to MS Outlook:
1.  Do we have the ability to use RTF format for emails generated out of SAP Workflow to MS Outlook?  The default is standard text.
2.  Do we have the ability to set a follow-up flag (i.e. date/time) on email generated from SAP Workflow to MS Outlook?
Any help would be greatly appreciated... thanks!

Hi,
I will try to answer your questions
1. Do we have the ability to use RTF format for emails generated out of SAP Workflow to MS Outlook? The default is standard text.
Email can be send to MS Outlook using SAPConnect Interface.
You need to call the Task TS99700021 for execution. Using this Task message can be predefined.
Otherwise there is also possibilty to use ABAP Objects to trigger the mail out to MS Outlook.
Note : SAPConnect needs to be configured as prelimary requirement and also Mail Rely needs to be set to send mails to Exchange Server or other mail server,
2. Do we have the ability to set a follow-up flag (i.e. date/time) on email generated from SAP Workflow to MS Outlook?
We have handled the situation by providing Time Stamp information using Custom Code and Tables.
I hope this will help.
Regards
Ajay

Hi, if you have created an ePrintCenter account and added your printer to that account you can check its ePrint job history. At least that will give you more visibility to the status of any jobs you send to your printer via the ePrint service. Receiving the "no reply" confirmation message only indicates that the email you sent was received by the ePrint service and is being prepared for printing.
Here's a link with more information you might find useful ePrint Service Help
Hope this helps solve your problem

  • Unable to send email from Mac using Outlook for Mac 2011

I have a single user that cannot send email from the Mac after migrating to Exchange 2013 on-prem. I myself am on the same Exchange server and am using a Mac with Office 2011 and am able to send/receive emails without any issues.
When the user sends an email it goes to the sent mail folder and syncs with the server and can be seen on a windows machine running any other version of Office (same in OWA). I've logged the user in on my Mac and blown away my profile and seeing the same issue.
Not sure if this narrows my issue down to the Exchange server receiving the send request from a Mac or if it's some setting in Outlook on the Mac?
I do not see anything in the logs on the server and have not seen any error son the Mac.
Any thoughts as to where my issues is?

    Hi,
According to your description, I find that there is a single user cannot send email.
I suggest using Outlook on Windows machine and sending emails via this single user to verify whether the emails can be sent.
If the single user can send email via Outlook on Windows machine, it seems an issue on the Mac side.
I suggest asking Outlook for Mac Forum for help so that we can get more professional suggestions.
    For your convenience:
    http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/mac/forum/macoutlook?tab=Threads
If can't send emails in Outlook, it seems an issue on the single user side.
I suggest trying to access the single user's mailbox via OWA to verify whether the mailbox has been migrated completely.
    Thanks

  • Problem sending email from abap to Outlook

We have a program that sends an email from ABAP to the SAP Inbox using FM SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_SEND_API1, the email arrives at the SAP Inbox and then it's redirected to Outlook. This works fine in 4.6C
We just upgraded to ECC 6, the same process does send the email to the SAP Inbox, but it doesn't go to Outlook. In the Recipient list TAB of the email, it appears the following attributes
    Recipeint             email-address     via internet
    Send attribs NONE
Status Return    Status is never returned. Status mail is only sent to inbox if error occur
Trans History : Status         Document Sent
                                                Wait for communications service
The strange thing is that if I'm in the SAP Inbox, and create and email from there, this email does go to the SAP Inbox and Outlook
    Any ideas ?

Do you have COMMIT_WORK = ABAP_TRUE (or 'X') in your FM call.  I had to make this change for ALL email sends when I migrated from 4.6x to next version.
In transaction SOST, can you send it from there?  Is your service running constantly or periodically in development (it's usually not)...

  • Cannot send email from iPhone using Outlook account

  • Send email from workflow using a variable in the to field in SharePoint Online (Office 365)

I have a simple sharepoint workflow that sends and email to users.  I know that the mail portion works because I can put a user's email address in the to: field and it sends fine.  If I use a string variable with the email address, I get a workflow
    error.
Simple steps to repro for me:
Create a new workflow in SPD  (I have tried a list workflow and site workflow)
Create a workflow variable named email.
Set the variable to an email address where the user is in the site
Send email and do a variable lookup to the email variable just set.
The workflow just hangs in this scenario
    I do get an error:
Retrying last request. Next attempt scheduled in less than one minute. Details of last request: HTTP BadRequest to https://[tenant].sharepoint.com/_api/sp.utilities.utility.SendEmail
Correlation Id: 568e9c68-ea75-d057-ab9f-d86f6cae3021 Instance Id: 9cc721a4-78e6-456f-812b-67351dfc9710
The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the e-mail has a valid recipient.
    Retry now

Simple answer... When I used the variable, I marked it as a string.  There is an email address setting.

  • Authentication error when sending email from workflow but list alters email work fine

I have a list. When a user enables alert on this list then he/she is able to receive email from SharePoint when someone adds a new item or change item.
But emails sent by SharePoint workflow or Nintex workflow are not being sent. Error is:
Error 530 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated
Why emails are not being sent by workflows?
    EDIT
And by SharePoint workflow, I mean OOB Publishing workflow.

    Hi Frank,
For solving your issue , you can do as the followings:
    1. Check all the email addresses are valid and they are not blocked by your SMTP admin
    2. Check firewall settings if emails are blocking by any firewall or antivirus
    3. You need to also check SPLog file if anything log there
    4. Also create simple workflow with SharePoint Designer 2013, and give proper email to check whether it is working or not
Here is a similar article for you to take a look at:

    I hope this helps.

  • HT1277 Text does not flow around images properly when I send emails from Mail to Outlook.

I often send group emails to let friends know about our upcoming band gigs. I use a nice header image, and sometimes have images in the text.
In Mail, I can make text flow around the images (float left, float right, etc.). But when I receive these emails at my office in MS Outlook, the pictures just display inline, with all text starting after them, instead of flowing around them.
This is not the case when I format similar emails in Outlook and receive them in Mail.
    What can be done?

You're probably not going to like the answer: Welcome to HTML-based email, and web (browser- or mail-based) rendering incompatibilities and quirks.
Newer Microsoft Internet Explorer is (much) better than older releases, so see if a newer Windows client or a newer version of Outlook does better.
If you really want to see what's going on here, view the raw HTML that's getting generated, and see what Microsoft wants or uses or expects within Outlook, and send that.

You should have received an email in your Primary email address.  The roll out of the change began back in November for some, but not all Users.  It is continuing to be rolled out now too.  Considering the number of Comcast customers that had been using Port 25, it does not surprise me if youir email fell through the cracks.

  • Sending appointment from ABAP to Outlook

    Hi.
I would like to know if there is a way to send appointment/meeting requests to MS Outlook from SAP (ABAP).
I know how to send Email from SAP to Outlook with/without attachments using the "SOI1" Function-group, but I don't think (or I didn't find it) that they support Calendar actions.
Does this exist in SAP with ole?
Currently I'm on 4.6c, but we are going into Upgrade project in few months to ECC6.00.
    Thanks,
    Manosh.

    Hi,
We use this for some of our email stuff, and you have access to the Outlook Object hierarchy, so i would assume this would also allow you to create appointments, as well as anything else in outlook.

  • Sending mail from workflow inbox to outlook, when idoc error occurs

    Hi All,
I tried to send a mail to outlook from workflow by giving the email address in the step mail, but it was not working.
i am getting the workitem in the sap inbox so tried setting the automating forward which we can forward from the sap inbox to outlook.
Searched in SDN , but my issue was not solved..
Could you please help me out with this issue to get the mail from workflow to outlook inbox.
    Thanks,
    Praveena

    Hi Praveena,
Please check if the necessary SCOT settings have been made in your system to send mails outside SAP box. Check with your basis team if the SMTP connection between external system (Outlook, Lotus, etc) has been maintained or not.
Then check in t-code SOST if you are getting the mail here when sent from workflow.
    Hope this helps!

  • Cannot send email from an iPhone to a Outlook group.

    Hi,
My question is simple and I'd like an exactly same answer : Can iPhone users send emails from their iPhone's to one or more groups created in Outlook?
This is my situation: our organization is using iPhone to provide email, calendar, contact, task etc. to some of their employees. We are using Airwatch MDM Agent on user's iPhone because we have an Airwatch server in place. I have an user and she has an iPhone 5 and she has created some groups in Outlook but these groups are not reflected in her Contacts in the iPhone. I have update her phone with the latest update, although I was almost sure that this was not the issue, then I've found some interesting posts on internet saying that this was a known problem for the users with the previous iOS but I thought this might has been corrected with the iOS, apparently not.
Also I've tried ''the trick'' that is posted on several forums with the iCloud but neither so it's working. I am looking for a straight answer, if this works or not on iPhone's?
    Thanks,
    Sebastian.

There indeed ARE apps in the app store that will do what you want.  Just search and find the one that best fits your needs.

  • Can't send email from Outlook with parentheses in address

I can't send email from Outlook 2007 through my WRT400N when Outlook displays the address with parentheses as in this example: Firstname Lastname ([email protected])
I can send if the address is in this form: Firstname Lastname <[email protected]>
I have tested with the ISP and nothing gets through the router when the problem occurs. When I bypass the router, both forms of address will send correctly. This problem is perfectly reproducible. My router is brand new, but the problem did not show up for about a week after installation. OS is Win7. Any ideas? Thanks.
