Sending iPhone 4 off for repair...

My iPhone 4 has been coming up with ''no service'' when I put in my o2 sim (it is unlocked for o2). I have decided to send off my iPhone for repair, at a fee of £126. What's next? Has anyone experienced this problem before, and were Apple able to fix the problem?

Have you tried some of the basic steps such as
reboot, restore, and restore as new?

  • HT1438 How do I go about sending my iPhone 4s off for repair?

My iPhone has been playing up a lot recently, the battery doesn't last longer than 12 hours max, it closes down apps when I am using them and hangs up the phone mid conversation.
How do I get this repaired? X

  • I have already sent my iPhone 5 off for repair...

For (accidental damage) I requested it was sent back when I couldn't afford £150 to repair it, as I did not realise my year warranty would not cover this... (I should really have done my research beforehand.)
Now that I can afford the repair, I'd like to send it back to be fixed but I don't want to do so if it will cost me more as I will be sending it back for exactly the same reason.
Does anybody know whether I will be charged more?
(My iPhone has a few cracks in the glass trim on the back that were caused from previous incidents, however, this is not what caused my phone to stop turning on. I used it as little as I could whilst at Reading Festival and when I returned home, obviously the battery had run out, I tried to charge it and turn it on, with no luck... I tried several chargers in case this was the issue and then decided to send it off to Apple.)
Please help me, I've gone almost a month without my iPhone and I'm feeling so lost.

  • TS4036 I recently had to send my iphone off for repair and when it came back they had restored it t factory settings. Is there any way I can get my music and photos back from icloud ??

I recently had to send my iphone off for repair and when I have got it back it has been reset to factory settings. Can I get my phonos, music etc back through icoulds ?

If your backup is incomplete you won't be able to use it.  Do you have any backups on your computer?  (You can check by opening iTunes and going to iTunes>Preferences>Devices (Edit>Preferences>Devices on a PC).  That will list any available backups on your computer.

  • HT2458 Has anyone else who uses AT&T as their carrier been told if you cannot access your voicemail through your iPhone that there is no way to check your voicemails? This is an issue since I had to send my phone in for repair. Thank you

You received incorrect information from AT&T.  You can indeed access your voicemail without your iPhone.
Call AT&T at (800) 331-0500 (assuming you're in the U.S.).  This is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week number.  Ask them how to access your voicemail.  Normally, you would just do this by dialing your number from another phone, typing "*" once your voicemail recording starts, and entering your password.  You don't know your password, so it's probably the last four digits of your phone number or perhaps the seven - or ten-digit phone number.  Let the AT&T person tell you.

  • I sent my Iphone 5c in for repair and when they sent it back my sim card wasn't in it is there any way i can have them send it back or do I need to get a new sim card for it?

You'll have to get a new one from your carrier. I believe the shipping instructions for mail in service explicitly tell you to take it out as you will most likely not receive the same phone back. Apple doesn't repair most phones, they replace them.

If some unauthorized shop opened the iPhone and attempted a repair, then Apple will no longer touch the iPhone. If they didn't attempt repairs, then Apple might be willing to service it, but only in the country in which the iPhone was originally sold. If that was in the US, then you will need to take the iPhone there yourself, or you will need to send the iPhone to someone you know in the US who can take or send it to Apple for service and then send it back to you. Apple will not accept shipments from outside the country.

  • What is the exact address I send my phone to for repairs?

what is the exact address I send my phone to for repairs?

That is not how it works.
In the U.S. for example, if an exchange under warranty is approved over the phone, AppleCare ships the replacement iPhone and the box the replacement iPhone is shipped with is used to send AppleCare the iPhone being exchanged under warranty.
No one arbitrarily ships their iPhone to Apple for repair. They won't accept the shipment for starters and an iPhone will be exchanged under warranty if needed, not repaired.

    Hi,
In Messages on the Mac do you have the Preferences > Messages section set to "Save History when Conversations are Closed" ?
This will store all IMs and iMessages in ~/Library/Messages/Archive.
Use the Finder > Go Menu > Go to Folder and type that path into the Dialogue box that appears. (~/Library/Messages/Archive).
They are stored in dated folders so some guessing/trail and error will be needed.
You may find that if this was an iMessage and you  send the person a new message that the whole History with that Contact since you installed Mountain Lion/Started Messages may appear and that it is scrollable the closer you get to the "top" and the top may keep moving until all is on show.

  • How do I send my MBP in for repairs?

This is probably a really obvious answer, but for some reason I can't figure it out. I'm having the typical logic board errors (random restarts, sometimes won't boot up, and the whining noise). I just enrolled my AppleCare plan, and I'd like to send my MBP in for repairs as soon as possible (I start college in two weeks). How exactly do I do that?

If you take your machine into the store, they will not be able to repair it within 45 minutes. The best you could hope for is a 1-2 day turnaround. However, it is extremely likely that they will not be able to do a logic board repair in-store within a few days. Instead, they will send your machine into a repair center, and you can pick it up from the store when it comes back.
Alternatively, you could call Apple Care and they will send you a box to ship it in. When the repairs are done Apple Care will ship it back to you directly. This is nice because you wouldn't have to drive to the store.
The problem with either of these strategies is that it seems there is currently a shortage of MBPRO-15 logic boards. So if you send your machine in, there's no telling how long it will be before you get it back. Some users are reporting quick 3-4 day turnarounds, but many users are reporting 3-4 week turnarounds!
What I would suggest is driving to the store and having a Genius there diagnose your machine. They will likely agree that you are in need of a logic board replacement. If so, you might be able to convince them to order a logic board for an in-store repair. This way you could hold onto your machine until the logic board arrives, and when it does they should be able to install it with a 1-2 day turnaround. I realize it is a hassle to drive back and forth, but this way you don't run the risk of being without your notebook for an extended period of time.

  • Does Apple store replace or send off for repair a deffective iphone?

Purchased on release day and wifi does not work. I anm going to the apple store today for an appointment. I have restored it. Will they replace it or send it of for repair?
    Thanks

When the iPhone was first released, there was no refurbished inventory available and if there was a problem within the first 14 days or so after an iPhone was purchased, an exchange at the store was pretty much automatic.
Now that some time has passed - if the store personnel are unable to repair it, your iPhone will be sent off to AppleCare to be inspected and tested for possible repair or replacement with a new or refurbished iPhone at Apple's discretion depending on inventory on hand - along with a loaner iPhone offered and provided by the store if needed/wanted.
The Store Manager may have some flexibility in this regard but an exchange with a new iPhone off the shelf at a store is not automatic.

  • How to package monitor when sending off for repair

Dear members of this forum, I have today arranged for my monitor to be sent off to an Acer repair centre in Telford after I found the display had some issues - namely a noticeable white blotch on the screen and dark edges). I have the 21.5" model of this monitor - for some reason Amazon removed my version. Unfortunately I no longer have the boxes that the monitor came in so I wanted to ask you how I should go about packaging the item to ensure it is delivered safely without any damage whatsoever. Could somebody also please confirm whether I need to send off all the cables it came with as well? I had no use for the VGA cable, so I do not know where it is. HDMI cables were not provided. Would it be okay to send off only the 1. Monitor and 2.Power Cable? It would be very helpful if you guys could give me dimensions of the box the monitor came in. Also, any advice as to where I could get the cardboard boxes and bubble wrap too. Thank you for your time, I look forward to your replies.

Here's the weblink with information to package the product to ship it in for repairs.http://acer.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/32900/kw/repair/related/1You do not need to use the orginal box, you may use a plain box.You do not need send the vidoe cables. You may send the power cord if the monitor has power issues so that it would be replaced if defective.  Click the Kudos to say “Thanks” for helping! select "Accept Solution" if your issue is resovled.

  • Sending material/tool outside for repair work

I have to send the tool outside to a workshop for repair work.
How it is done in sap?
which movement type I have to use in this case?

    hi
    1. MM01 - Create Material Master for every Spare Part / Machinery to be sent to Vendor for Repair as Non-Valuated (Material Type "UNBW") (Do not extend Accounting and Costing views since you don't require postings of Stock value and consumption values, you only want to track the Service/Repair Charges)
    2. MIGO - Goods Receipt > Others (Receive the quantities of these materials using Movement Type 501 / 511)
    3. ME21N - Create Subcontracting PO (Here Main Material and Component will be same material)
    4. MB1B - Transfer Posting w.r.t. Subcon PO (Mvmt Type - 541, Spare Part stock will get posted to Vendor Stock)
    5. MB90 - Take Print out of this Material Doc as Returnable Gate Pass (U need to configure Message Determination of Inventory Mgmt)
    6. MIGO - GR against Subcon PO (101 - Receive Spare Part, 543 O - Consumption of Spare Part form Vendor Stock)
    7. MIRO - LIV for Service Charges w.r.t. Subcon PO
    check this process

  • Why won't apple let me send my phone in for repair?

My phone is unfortunately water damaged so I want to send it to get repaired.
After filling in the online form on the Apple support page a few days ago I realised I didn't have the £185 it quoted for the repair so I thought I'd leave it until I'd got paid to send for repair.
Now 3 days later, when I fill in the form online to send my phone for repair, once I get to the 'detailed quote and payment' tab, it redirects me to a page that says 'We're unable to complete the repair. Please try again or choose another solution.'
Does anyone have any idea why it seemed to be working fine a few days ago but now just displays this message? I've filled the form in so many times that I feel like I'm going crazy.
I would take it into an Apple Store but there isn't one locally.
    Any advice?

If, as you said in your first post, there isn't an Apple Store you can get to, call Apple support and talk to them. As Tim suggested, it may be due to your having a repair order open already. If you call Apple, they should be able to get you set up.
    Regards.
