Service Contracts - Two Important Questions

Hi everyone, I hope you're allright... I need to trouble you guys, this time with two questions regarding Service Contracts.
We are implementing this functionality and we are doing ok so far. But, when I'm raising a WV contract by using txVA41, and, according to my customer's request, I would need to fill in the "WBS Element" field at ITEM level. This I can´t do, since this field is greyed out at item level (but it is not at header level). On the other hand, if I'm trying to make this on a Sales Order - Type Document, It works the other way around (It's greyed out on Header level and can be filled in on item level). Can anyone please explain to me how is this possible?? And more important, is there any way I can turn this situation around?? I would really need to fill the WBS element data on ITEM level on my service contract.
The other problem we're facing is that, apparently due to regulation issues, (this is a configuration for a USA customer) they need to have on each contract item line the origin and destination data. (This company provides, between other things, data services (communication, bandwith, etc). So each three months they have to see a report indicating the origin and destination of each circuit they're providing in the contract, for tax issues (USF, for example). Did anyone face this problem in the past or have any ideas on how to fill in this data on item level????
That's all for the moment... I would really really appretiate any help you can provide me since I'm a bit lost with this issues...

Technically "AirPort Ready" indicates that your Mac has an internal slot for the proper Apple wireless card.

  • New version of Numbers - two important questions

    I'm running the new version of Numbers and have some questions.
    First let me say that I switched from PC to Mac earlier this year.  I decided I wanted to try Numbers instead of Excel.  Although I do have Office for Mac installed as well.  I setup a basic check register.  The "type" field is a pull down thing so I can select the type of transaction...deposit, debit, etc.  That's still working fine.  I have a description field that is for who or what is being paid or deposited.  The Category field is for the type of item...salary, credit card payment, utility, etc.  In the previous version, I would start typing in those two fields and if I had previously typed something, it would ome up for me to select.  This made things very easy for me.  Now in this new version, that feature is not there.  I did some quick reading in the forum and I believe I read that this feature is no longer in the new version.  Is that correct??  Why they heck did they do that....it makes things harder.  I guess I could try to setup a pull-down for the category field but frankly I don't want to do that.  For the type field (deposit, debit, etc), I don't mind having a pull down as there's not a lot of choices there.  But the category field would have quite a few items.
    Second question is another annoying problem...
    In the previous version when I opened the file, it would be right where I saved it.  I always save the check register at the start of the next entry so it's right where I need it to open next time.
    Every time I open the file (even after saving it with the cursor on the next entry), it opens all the way at the top.  It's extremely annoying to have to scroll all the way down to the next blank entry.  Is there any way to fix this??
    I saved a template of this file before I started using it in June.  I will start a new file using the template each year.  I didn't go all the way back to January when I started this file, I just started it from June.  Still have the old Excel file for previous info.  So the file isn't as "long" as next years would be...but it's still very annoying to have to scroll down every time I open the file.  Any suggestions?

    That's what I do every time.
    I select the first cell on the next blank line and save the file.  Although I was using the menu to save & close.
    I just tried it again and used the shortcuts for save and close.  I had the cursor in the first cell which is the type cell pull down menu.  Saved, closed and re-opened and it was all the way back at the beginning again.  Tried it once more but this time istead of selecting the pull down cell, I selected the next empty one.  Same thing.  When I re-open it goes back to the beginning.
    I don't understand it.  It was fine before I updated to the new version of Numbers.
    I checked my budget file.  I scrolled down, clicked a cell and saved it.  Went back in and it was right where I left it.  Strange.  I think I just figured it out....
    There were two differences in the files.  The register has the top two lines frozen, the budget doesn't.  The register only has one sheet and it wasn't renamed.  The budget has a sheet for each month named accordingly.  So I went to the register and renamed the sheet.  Scrolled down to the blank entry, saved and closed.  Opened it back up and it was right where I left it.
    Don't understand it, but it looks like it's now fixed.

    so from what i see that you want to do and you don't want to
    go with live cycle i advise you to go with webservices, why ?
    well, i am doing a portal in flex which is getting data from
    an sql database thru .net , when i started that i was using
    webservices, than Tracy here advise me to use HttpService that was
    faster , well, i've tried that but i gave up, because there is one
    thing that it's easier to deal with webservices and those are
    methods. With httpservice you need to say to your backend wich
    operation you want to execute, with webservices you call a method
    directly, so here is my little experience.
    I can tell you that at my job we have a portal based on
    DotNetNuke and i'm doing it in flex wich is very fast to do.
    About connecting flex to ORacle , you can't do it direcly ,
    you need some backend language like .net or php.

    1 - The business want to capture mobility (willingness to relocate / travel) at the time of position application. Is there a standard field for store this information?

    Hi Sivani,
    Questionnaire answers are stored in IT5141.  They are visible to the Recruiters when viewing the Candidates and can be used in rankings.  You can also decide for which positions this questionnaire would be required and which not. 
    Do not see a standard field to create a priority when creating a Requisition.  We added many fields, such as "eligibility for employee referral", so it can be added.  However, letting managers set the priorities could be a problem with each manager thinking his/her opening is most important.

    Hi,
    You cannot import one Business Area into another. A Business Area is just a collection of folders. One folder can be in many business areas. Access to the folders in the EUL is controlled through the security on the Business Areas. Organising your folders into Business Areas just makes it easier for users to find folders in the EUL.
    If your users need to use the folders in another business area you must either change the security on the business area so that the users can access the folders or use the manage folders to move all the folders into a buinesss area that the users can access. The same folder will then appear in both business areas.

  • Accept Button in Service Contract Quotations

    Hi Experts
    The requirement is to create any of the 2 different types of contracts as a follow up from service contract quotation.
    I have maintained both the contract types as follow up transactions of service contract quotation through copy control. When I click on Accept button in the quotation, it doesnt show me both the contracts creation option. I know SAP doesnt recommend creating a follow up directly and even if I do it, the pop shows up both the contract types but when i create any of them, the items dont carry over.
    In short, I am expecting to get two options when I click on accept but i m not getting it. Is there anything to do in Change process?

  • Error in BAPI RETURN for Service Contract

    Hi,
      I get an error in the BAPI Return for the Uploading the Service Contracts by LSMW. The Error Message is E BS No status object is available for &.Also want to know can we upload multiple line of header text for a Contract by this BAPI. If so then how would I do this , as the BAPI structure BAPISDTEXT has textline upto 132 characters. And I am take only one file in LSMW where the header & details come alongwith text. Or could also tell me the file structure of for the data upload. The legacy system sends multiple text in the header for a Contract.For Eg.
    Header1 Detail1 Text1
    HEader1 Detail2 Text2
    Header1 Detail3 Text3
    So I would need this text1TEXT2text3 in the Header Text of the Contracts. Or do I need the change the file structure. Many thanks for your time and help.

    Thanks Nablan, I could do that for multiple header coming in file. But I have a question for you on BAdI ALM_ME_006_GOODSMVT. I have implemented this BAdI , and this BAdI is called by a function Module ALM_MEREP_006_CREATE. When I test this FM giving the Material , Orderid and Movement type entries, this BAdI is triggered when giving a breakpoint. I've given this code for changing the movement type to 961. Cause the stanadrd scenario does not maintain Movement type 961 in Mobile Asset Management. The Movement type 961 for unplanned Materials comes to SAP and changes to 261 as maiantained by TCOKO table. To bypass this & retain the movement type 961 in SAP I'm using this BAdI. Currently this is what I'm doing and am stuck in the method interface how do I call the method.

  • Problem in adding vales to service contract line item

    I want  the OBJECT ID  field to be filled in  OBJECT LIST tab at item level when ever  a service product is entered in service contract ( new line item) automatically ...
    I tired wiht CRM_ORDERADM_I_MERGE (CRM_ORDERADM_I_BADI) and
    CRM_ORDERADM_I_MERGE(ZCRM_ORDERADM_I_BADI) methods and using fuction module
    CRM_ORDPRP_I_MAINTAIN_OW  but not success yet.

    The way I typically handle organizational service attributes is to have a single amadmin XML file per AM service and in that amadmin file I have two requests, one to assign the service and the second to modify the service attributes. I then run the amadmin command with the -c continue option on the amadmin XML file so the service is always modified with latest settings regardless of whether or not it was assigned for the first time.
    Since your question relates to service attribute modification investigate the SchemaRequests -> AddAttributeSchema amadmin commands. For example, I use the following files to modify the amUserService

    Hello Experts,
    We are using CRM 7
    Is there a possibility to determine SLA for service request\service order  without create a service contract?
    We have defined:
    1. Trasaction Code: CRMD_SERV_SLA-  Response Profile / Response Times
    2. In Customizing we have defined our date profile with the relevant duration
    3. In  Customizing for transaction types  we defined  SLA Prof. Det. Proc= IT000001
    4. we assign the Service Profile and Response Profile to BP (from "service levels" block) .
    Everthing seems ok but the SLA time is not determined automatically.

    Your steps are correct and i hope you did these too
    a) In the SLA determination procedure ,you have defined the access sequence for service product item or org
    b) If service product item ,take any service product for ex INVESTIGATION assign the two Service and response profile in the service tab
    c) if org the above two profiles can be assigned to org attributes.
    d) In my opinion the date profile you should have assigned it to item category as I think the SLA date calculation is done at the item level
    e) You should assign the SLA det prof to the transaction type in the service process business category - customizing header.
    f) when you create a transaction type sla dates will be determined as follows
        a) you have to enter service product entered in the item ,then dates will be visible,and also if your access sequence is based on service product,the respons profile and service profile will be determined.
        b) if you have given indicators as all these three "category,priority,codes' in your response profile, then you have to enter all three and then hit enter
       c) After hitting enter,the response profile determined above,will use the above 3 inputs of category,priority etc and determine the duration times ,which should be maintained in your date profile.hence the durations determined will be used in the dates calculation.

  • BOM IN CRM Only for Service  Contract

    We want have a BOM explosion working in CRM for service contracts
    Here are the details :
    We have replicated the materials from ECC to CRM. We are not maintaining any BOMu2019s in ECC.
    The idea is that we maintain the BOM Structure in CRM only, as we donu2019t want to have the Items as a billable item in a position, only for information purposes (or later on for metering)
    We have maintained the product category for the header product in CRM so we are able to maintain depended components
    (Relationship type SCDEC  S Dependent Components (DC) )
    Not we are able to assign dependent component to the header material
    Item category groups:
    We understand that the standard item category groups that should be used are ERLA for the header product and LUMF for the Item product.
    In order to support the same functionality for the given item category group , maintained at the product level in ECC we copied the same setting for the item category group from the standard to
    our settings.
    Standart

    So we have copied TAQ to ZTAQ and TAP to ZTAP.

    We have also created some products in CRM with exactly the same Item Category groups as the standard and when we create a standard order (TA) in CRM, the BOM is NOT exploding.
    Questions:
    Is it possible to have the BOM setup only in CRM, like we try to do it?
    Is it possible to use our own item category groups in CRM more is the functionality only working with ERLA and LUMF?
    Is it possible to use the BOM Explosion in Service contracts as well ?
    What steps are we missing to get the BOM explosion in CRM ?

    I have created Service contract with a Usagline and Service line. When entered the Counter reading, and run the 'Service Contract Main billing program', i am getting the invoice amont of 0 only. Could you please tell me how can i proceed.
    And also, what is the relation between 'Service Contract Main Billing Program' and 'QP_CUSTOM' (I have to bill the usage line based on my own logic)

  • Copy button not working properly in service contract - crmd_order tcode

    Hi experts,
    I want to create a duplicate row in contract through Duplicate Button Supplied by SAP. As
    I understand the function of the duplicate row button is to copy the same set of information in next row with auto incremental or manual. As far as number incremental is concern that is happening based on
    customization on transaction type line item incremental sequence .
    This is an upgrade project before upgradation it was working fine, you can check the same in old CRM 4.0. If you see in the Object Tab, condition tab or any other tab, no data is duplicated from parent line item. This works very well in CRM 4.0. Actually after discussing with the client i have come to know that , they also had the same issue before and SAP gave two Notes : 739462 and 740103 to resolve the issue. But now this feature is only availabe in the WEB UI in CRM 2007, and as i am upgrading to CRM 2007 this feature is not available, but my client want this feature.
    I went through the SAP note , they have given some corrective instructions but it is valid till BBPCRM 500 version of the software component and mine is BBPCRM 600 . My query is, will it work if i follow the same corrective measures in the Note for my system ie. by inserting few blocks of code given in the SAP NOTE.

    Ok, as per you wording Services order having billing tab with details but Service contract does not.
    If am I right, you see the below solutionu2026.
    First go to T-code: CRMC_PCUITOOLS
    Put you
    Application : CRMD_BUS2000116
    View (blview) : ZXXXXX
    Then press F8 for execute
    You will see the view of particularly Leading Transaction Category and go to billing tab
    See below Tab Page Group (SRV_ODP1)
    Second go to T-code: CRMC_BLUEPRINT_C
    Follow this : Application Element -> Tab Page Group -> Tab Page Group Structure
    Put it (SRV_ODP1) and go to billing (double click on them)
    You will see following details
    Tab Page Group       SRV_ODP1
    View                      ZXXX
    Sequence                  23
    Event                     S1O_HD_PAYMENT_BILL
    Text                      Billing
    View Switch Gro
    Multi-Group               S1O_HD_PAYMENT_BILL

    Put it same on that (S1O_HD_PAYMENT_BILL)

  • Partner in service contract and ibase

    Here is a data migration scenario, migration service contract from legance to crm:
    1. warranty data and sold to partner will be migrated to ibase in crm
    2. legancy contract will be migrated to crm contract, which also contains a sold to party
    So my question is whether there is a dependency about sold-to party between service contract and ibase,
    - for example., here is ibase contain product: A,B,C, but when create a contract for product D, which does not exist in a ibase, so whether this contract can be create, whether it can look up the if product exist in ibase according to sold to party,
    And whether it can prevent to create new contract for D?

    Hi Nagaraju,
    First of all, you can bill Service Contract and Service Order differently. This is because you may wish to charge contract fees irrespective of whether service occurs or not.
    Secondly, while maintaining DIP profile, you can use different material from the one used in contract. Just make sure that it gives explanation as to what service was performed so that customer will understand the invoice.
    DP90 will generate Debit memo request. You will need to create billing document against this using VF01.
    When you settle the service order (KO88), it will be settled against service contract.

    I have created item using Purchased Item template and one more item(service item) using service /warranty program template. Then I have used these items to create sales order with service item in it and closed that order , but Iam not getting this order in service contracts. Is this right way to create sales order for service items. I
    item name:- personal_computer
    copied from purchased order template. service is enabled and install base is checked and enable service coverage is enabled.
    item name:- service_item
    copied from service /warranty program template
    service is selected to inactive,
    service type: service
    duration: 1 year
    template: Gold
    and saved the item.
    Then I have used these two items in sales order for service contracts. But that sales order is not hitting in service contracts. Is there any error with item creation.
