Service notification change

Hi,
Is there any BAPI or a direct input program,that would enable me to update a Service Notification.The BAPI should have reference to the QMEL table of Service Notification.
We have added two custom fields to the Additional Tab1
of the standard Service notification transaction namely
IW51 and also to the QMEL table.I want a BAPI which would help me update these two custom fieds in the QMEL table.
Please help me solve this requirement.I will reward the perosn with points.

    2 main fields are required; i_qmnum and i_vrgng.
    I am able to provide i_qmnum (as this is the service notification number that i need to change).
    However, i_vrgng is a field in table (TC33-VRGNG). The values in the table does not make sense to me.
    Example. To change the status to NOPR (Put in progress), the FM uses PPM2 or PPM6 for i_vrgng. If we take a look at the table TC33, it doesn't indicate in anyway how NOPR is related to PMM2 or PMM6.
    Is there a guideline (ie, to change status to OSTS, i use a certain value in TC33-VRGNG to run the FM)?
    Please see BAPI_SERVNOT_POSTPONE & BAPI_SERVNOT_PUTINPROGRESS for a clearer picture of what I'm saying.

    Please try using FM STATUS_CHANGE_INTERN for changing System Status as i was not able to find any link between status and the field provided in FM in ur post.
    This FM directly changes system status of any object.But this FM requires System Status Value not Text.
    NOPR, NOCO etc are system texts.The main table for system status  is TJ02T which will give u the status value for the status text.
    For eg NOPR status text will have status value as 'I0070'.

  • How to avoid automatic data change in service notification from work order

    Hi,
    when I change work order address data the address data from the service notification connected to the order is changed too, how can I avoid this change? Is there anything on customizing to control whichs fields are updated automatically.

    Hi,
    You can trying using Books of Business.
    Create a book and add that particular user to that book and at the time of task creation, through a workflow you can assign it to the corresponding book.
    This might resolve the access issue you are facing.

  • How to change activities of a service notification using ABAP Program ?

    Hello friends,
    As part of a requirement, I need to modify a service notification activity "Activity Code" ( MTR Section ) data and for that I have used the standard bapi "BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_DATA_MODIFY" but the problem is that it is neither saving the activity data nor returning any error message during the process. I have used "BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_SAVE" and "BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT" along with bapi call.
    While I can update the activity code of the activity from IW52 transaction.
    Please share any information that could help to resolve this issue.

    BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_SAVE is only for the header.
    Questions relating to BAPI_ALM_NOTIF_DATA_MODIFY:
    What input parameters are you using when calling the BAPI
    Did you use the NOTIFACTV_X tables
    Are there any values in the RETURN table

  • Create multiple sales orders from single service notification?

    Is it possible to create multiple sales orders from a single notification (IW51)? 
    We currently create sales orders directly within transaction IW51 (Create Service Notification).  We kick off the sales order creation by pressing the "SALES ORD." button in the notification screen.  We're now interested in creating a 2nd Sales Order which would tie directly to the same Service Notification.  This is so that we can have the second order assigned to a different account assignment WBS (there are two different parties doing work on the service notification).
    I assume you would have to go to VA01 to create the Sales Order, but am not sure how to tie it directly to the service notification from here.  I treied to do a create with reference, but there is no ability to create with reference to a service notification.
    Do I have to create a second service notification for the 2nd Sales Order for this to work?  I want to avoid doing this if at all possible.
    I'm running SAP R/3 Enterprise

    go to vtaa- copy controls for sales document to sales document.
    select your combination of order and quotation go to item level. There select value 0(zero) in field positive/negative negative.
    No need to change update document flow.
    After setting zero in copy control that be told on above. create order with respective to the quotation.
    After saving the order.
    go to document flow to see the status in between quotation and order.
    If you placed setting right, then u certainly observe for quotation status will be open. so you can create no. of sales order with respect to that quotation..

  • Why is creation of a service notification using BAPI not working?

    I need to create a service notification.
    I have found 2 BAPIs.
    BAPI_SERVICENOTIFICAT_CREATE
    BAPI_SERVNOT_CREATE
    The code below using the second BAPI is not creating a notification and the return parm does not have any errors.
    You can see it does a call to commit after the BAPI call
    Perhaps I am missing something critical in the parms.
    We are trying to creat a service type notification using equipment.

    When forwarding a service notification via "Send Object with Note" function, the recipient when retrieving the message in SAP Inbox could only access the attachment in Display mode.
    Likewise, if the message is routed to the recipient's outlook inbox, the attachment is in Text file format.
    Functionality needed here is:
    1) When accessing via SAP Inbox, the attachment should be able to be opened in Change mode.
    2) When retrieving the message via Outlook inbox, link should be provided for user to launch SAP and open the service notification in Change mode.       
    Is the above requirements achievable without customization?

  • How to get a service notification number for given serial number

    Please, someones know how to get a service notification number based on serial number.
    In our process the notification can be created as first step (IW51) or can be created starting from service order (IW32).

    actually standard service request numbers are configured in spro->crm->transactions->Settings for Service Requests->Number Ranges. here they are maintain service request,incident,problem number ranges..
    so when ever your creating any service request then that number range will appear in that object id.
    you have to get that object id in your custom field get_method and based on that you have to change your number..
    example:
    current = me->bo.
    current->get_property_as_string( EXPORTING iv_attr_name  = 'OBJECTI_ID'  RECEIVING rv_result  = lv_id ).
    here you will get object_id based on that you have to write your own logic to display custom value.
    " write your custom logic to populate custom field. pass that custom field value into returning parameter.
    value = custom_value.

  • Languange is not allowed error in service notification

    Just want to ask help regarding the error I encountered in change service notification iw52, when I wanted to put historical description using the Task Long Text, error prompt was LANGUANGE IS NOT ALLOWED. then when I view the diagnosis here's what the system says; "You want to edit a text. However, the text language specified does not exist." Im having a hard time to trace where to locate this error. Hope you can help me regarding this error. Thanks

    languange selected is EN for the user profile, cannot seen the laguange selection for the long text.

  • How to set upper and lower limit for service notification in SPRO

    I am new to SAP PM and to SCN as well.
    I have a question on Service notification user status.
    I  have notification profile configured in SAP as below:

    I want the statusesto be set as  navigation should only allow to go back one by one...like from APRC -->PCKS not to REGD.From PCKS -->REGD etc..not vice versa.
    Can enayone explain me to how to set lower and upper limits for these according ot the above requirement.

    Once you change the status to previous status, just save the order. Then again open the order & try to change the user status.
    Just I made replica of your profile. I could able to change (even without saving the order).

  • Service order and service notification

    could someone let me know please if ther's an BAPI or other way to create service order with a reference to service notification so that when calling the BAPI or function mudole to create the service order its get the entire data from the reference of the service notification .
    example of this situation is when executing IW52 transaction nd from the main screen of change service notification a button of service order takes the data from the service notification to the service order .

    Does anybody know any userexit  or BADI that will be triggered when the user clicks SAVE for transaction IW51 or IW52 to create/change a service notification? The userexits that I found so far do not seem to be triggered at the SAVE.

  • Control/Default values in Service Notifications and Service Orders

    Hi all,
    When in transaction IW52 and IW32 I know you can maintain a set of default values for when you are either creating a Service Notificaiton and/or a Service Order.
    My scenario is as follows:-
    User 1 has a set of default values and it contains Work Centre A.  User 1 then creates a Service Notification.
    User 2 has a set of default values and it contains Work Centre B.  User 2 then reviews the Service Notification created by User 1 and wishes to create a Service Order.
    When User 2 creates the Service Order, the default value for the Work Centre is using User 1's Work Centre (Work centre A) and not their own Work Centre of Work Centre B?
    What is stopping User 2 picking up their own Work Centre of Work Centre B when they want to create a Service Order from a Service Notification?

    The order takes its data from the notification (which got it from USER1's defaults).
    What you need to do is change the notification work centre to that of USER2's preferred default value.
    There is no standard setting for this. However, all is not lost. It may be possible by misuing one of the order user-exits

    Check preconditions for archiving notification :
    1) The notification has been marked as u201Ccompletedu201D in Change Notification.
    To archive notifications, go to transaction SARA. The archiving object for Notification is NM_QMEL.
    Click on the Write button in the initial screen of Archive Administration to start an archive session of archiving notifications.
    RQARCNMA u2013 Archive Notifications
    RQARCNMD u2013 Delete Notifications
