Service Request with Object Reference filled-out automatically

Hi CRM experts,
I'm trying to understand how is possible (if exist a customizing way) to filled-out automatically the Reference Object of the Service Request.
Process steps:
First, I have to search for the Ibase component and confirm it; then I have to search for the Account related and confirm it also. Then I'd like to create the Service Request with the Account and the Ibase component filled-out automatically.
For the Account I solved the issue by assigning the Partner Function to the Business Transaction.
Any suggestions for the Ibase component?

Hi Andrea
Create a partner determination profile. You can use procedure 0with 0000032 to copy.
IMG > CRM > Basic Functions > Partner Processing > Define Partner Determination Procedure
Assign partner determination profile it to Installed base
IMG > CRM > Master Data > Installed Base > Assign Partner Determination Procedure to Installed Base Category
Check Account identification profile, it should have Auto search checked for ICCMP_IBASE main partner approach.
IMG > CRM > Interaction Center WebClient > Master Data > Define Account Identification Profiles
In IB52 assign Account to IBase as main partner.
Now when you search for IBase and confirm, it will automatically look for the Account assigned as main partner.

That error you're getting is a typical error message from Windows web services. It simply means there was something unspecified that was wrong with your message. You'll need to find a way to extract the actual message being sent in both the "good" and "bad" cases and look at the differences. You can do that in ALSB with a "Log" action.

Create service request with inbound email linked to it

Hi,
we are on CRM 7.0 and interaction center agents need to open and read inbound emails in the agent inbox and in some cases manually create Service Requests to which the email should be linked.
Is there any standard functionality to manually create a new Service Request with the inbound email linked to it or do we have to implement it with custom coding? (we have already used ERMS to automatically create Service Requests linked to emails, but in some scenarios agents need to create manually service requests linked to mails after reading the email in the inbox)

Thank you for answering. I already tried: I select the line with the email in the Inbox, I press Interact (the account is automatically recognized and I am asked to confirm it), I confirm the account and then I navigate to "Service Request" workcenter: a new Service Request is displayed, with the employee responsible and the customer automatically filled. However, I can see no data regarding any attached email in any of the Service Request tabs (even if I save or select "End").
After your answer, I tried the same procedure with the "Service Ticket" and noticed that the email is correctly displayed as an Interaction Record under the Business Content tab for the Service Ticket: since you confirmed that this should work also for Service Request, I guess there's something wrong in my customizing settings and now I will search for errors.

Thanks from me too Neal - this worked from me. I wan't able to consume directly from exchange because the certificate is broken. However, I was able to convince Google Chrome to let me view the /Services.wsdl and from there I could save the .wsdl and two
.xsd files. In my case the problem lay at the top of the .wsdl file. I changed the following:

Create a service request with the Account confirmed filled out

Hi all, I'm working on an IC scenario where we have to create a Service Request based on: functional location and customer.
This is the process steps:
1) search for the functional location (FL) and confirm it
2) confirm the account of the FL (we have a list of account related to the FL, partner function)
3) create a service request referring to the FL and the Account confirmed in the prev-step
My need is to find an automatic way to replicate the FL and the Account prev-confirmed directly into the Service Request, without repeat the search.
Any suggestions?

Hi Anubhav, thanks for your replay. Your idea is good, but unfortunately our process is a little different. We have to manage with the FL, that is the central item of the Service Request, and with one of the several partner function of the FL.
So, first, the Agent has to search the FL and then confirm the right Account between the FL's partner (each time we have to create a service request, the Customer could be one of the FL's partner function). Now, I'm investigating if with a Badi, I can transfer the FL confirmed with the Account Identification, directly into the Service Request.

Whenever I am trying to install SQL 2012 with SP1 clustering, I am getting below error. Can you please advise on this.

Could you please help me here? On my Laptop which is running on windows 8.1 Operation system, I enabled the Hyper-V client feature and setup the Windows Fail-over Clustering using Windows 2012 Standard Edition. So, there are three machines which are running
on the Hyper-V. Below are the machine details;
1st machine - Working as Domain controller and its name is "ACONDomainGroup" and allocated to
1GB RAM to use.
2nd machine - Working as Node1 and its name is "AconNODE1W2K12STD"
and allocated to 2.5GB RAM to use.
3rd machine - Working as Node1 and its name is "AconNODE1W2K12STD"
and allocated to 1.5GB RAM to use.
and the windows virtual cluster name is "AconWinCLTR". While I am doing the SQL Cluster Installation, I am getting below mentioned error. all systems have 4.5 .net installed. May you please guide me where and what i am missing to complete sql clustering.....

Create Service Request with Category Level4

Hi,
I am trying to create service request from Legacy system by calling SSC_SR_CREATE.
I am not sure on how to fill in the category level 4 data in IT_SERVICE_OS.
I have tried passing following fields in this structure.
SUBJECT_PROFILE
ASP_ID
CAT_ID
KATALOG_TYPE
Service request gets created successfully however on UI I cannot see category data filled at all.

Service Desk with SLA: item data not automatic

Hello all.
I'm trying to setup service desck with contract determination for monitoring SLA (SolMan 7.0 SP 15)
Everything works well, except for item/product determination. I mean, when i check a support message creatde in a satellite system, organizational data are ok, but item's data are blank. Well, i put manually my own product in Item, quantity, press Enter and... that's all: contract data are correctly fullfilled, SLA schema ok, no errors at all.
I'm sure that i missed some basic configuration, but i don't know where... Maybe in the Action Profile of the ABA message? Or in the Item category determination?

Go to SPPFCADM > Select Application DNO_NOTIF >> Define Action Profile and Actions >> Action Profile - SLFN0001_STANDARD_DNO >> Action - SLFN0001_STANDARD_DNO_CRM >> Select the processing type Method Call and choose 'change'icon in Method call settings >>
In the container editor , Choose create >> Maintain Element, Name & Description - maintain as ITEM_PRODUCT_ID, Choose ABAP Dict. Reference , Maintain values - Structure CRMD_ORDERADM_I, Field ORDERED_PROD, choose tab - intial value, enter the product code (Ex.SUPPORT)
enter and save.
This setting will ensure you to determine the product id in the Support message automatically, during your message creation process.

How can I delete duplicates from an internal table in ABAP OO based on the value of one of the attributes?
I have created a method, with the following code:
LOOP AT me->business_document_lines INTO l_add_line.
    CREATE OBJECT ot_line_owner
      EXPORTING
        i_user      = l_add_line->add_line_data-line_owner
        i_busdoc = me->business_document_id.
      APPEND ot_line_owner TO e_line_owners.
ENDLOOP.
e_line_owners are defined as a table containing only object references.
One of the attribute of the object in the table is called USER. And I would like to do a "delete ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM e_line_owners", based on that attribute.
How can do this?

Assuming that the instance attribute is <b>public </b>you could try to use the following coding:
SORT e_line_owners BY table_line->user.
DELETE ADJACENT DUPLICATES FROM e_line_owners
    COMPARING table_line->user.
However, I am not really sure (cannot test myself) whether <b>TABLE_LINE</b> can be used together with SORT and DELETE.
Alternative solution:
DATA:
     ld_idx    TYPE sy-tabix.
LOOP AT e_line_owners INTO ls_line.
    ld_idx = syst-tabix + 1.
    LOOP AT e_line_owners TRANSPORTING NO FIELDS FROM ld_idx
                   WHERE ( table_line->user = ls_line->user ).
      DELETE e_line_owners INDEX syst-tabix.
    ENDLOOP.
ENDLOOP.

I work with a company that is a Diamond level partner to Oracle. In one of our project with SOA 11.1.1.5 we are facing some random product issues.After much thought, we decided to contact oracle support and raise a service request and report the problem to them so that they can help us in the resolution for the same.

I am sitting almost in the same sudation, I am designing a service request form in the portal and will be using multiple checkboxes for various new equipment aka desktop, laptop, mobile blah blah.
were you able to get multiple checkboxes to work in the portal, and if so, could you possibly share the solution. also if I may ask, can you have two or there checkboxes in the same row (next to each other), or only in a column?

FM to create Pallet HU's with Object reference

Hi all,
Is there any FM which can be used to create a Pallet HU and assign it to Delivery or shipment. I am able to create Pallet HUs using the BAPI: "BAPI_HU_CREATE" but then I am unable to assign them to shipment or delivery. I tried using "HU_ASSIGN_HUS_TO_OBJECT" but with no luck.
Let me know a way to create Handling Units with reference object.

Mat4Shift - ConvertTo-NcVhdx failing with Object reference not set to an instance of an object

Hi, We're just trying to use Mat4Shift 1.7 to convert some VMware VMs into Hyper-V format and it's randomly failing at the conversion stage when running the ConvertTo-NcVhdx command. It seems to be hit and miss with VMDK files of around 40GB - it usually fails the first time around with the error above, so you clean the environment up and rerun and it will work. However, we've got a few VMs with large VMDK files - one in particular was originally a 1.2TB RDM which we connected to the VM in virtual mode and cloned. This one seems to fail pretty regularly and we cannot get it to convert. The progress bar for ConvertTo-NcVhdx (just checking but is that exactly the same command as ConvertTo-NaVhdx) somtimes doesn't get past 0%, othertimes it bombs out at 3% and the furthest it got was 20% after which it bombed out after ten minutes with the same error as above. Any ideas please or is there a limit of what the maximum size VMDK this can handle is? I've stripped off the Out-Null statement at the end but there's no other output - I've also tried manually adding the -SkipUnmap command in case it wasn't being handled properly via the Splat variable but no difference there. I've attached a redacted screenshot which also shows that the first disk (41GB) converts without issue but then the next throws a SIS clone error - is there any way to get more verbose output from this at all please?
