Service Selection in SES

Hi,
While creating SES, service selection is called to select serives from Work Order, Contract etc. But, at times or for some Work Orders, the radio button option for Service Selection from Contract is missing. Any explanations, please ?

Hi,
A contract Limit can be maintained under Overall Limit in purchase Order.
This ensures some restrictions on the unplanned activity (the reason why limits are maintained). If only Contract Limit is maintained it would ensure that the unplanned activity would only be from the contract which exist between the Buyer and the Vendor (the same vendor for whom the current Purchase Order is made).
If such Contract Limit is maintained, it would be available as an option during Service Entry Sheet. (the Contract Line item number would be in Display mode).
The contract would be called off by the same amount as it is enetered in the Service Entry Sheet.
Another interesting thing to notice here is the Value tab (Vals) tab in Service Entry Sheet. There are 4 fields. Two of them is Unplanned Portion and Portion without Contract. Just try entering two unplanned activity, one with reference to the contract limit and second any other unplanned activity. See the difference for yourself!

Service Entry Sheet (SES) Error

Dears,
We have 1 line item and 4 sub services in PO. We created SES for the first 3 items. Now the 4th service is completed, when we are creating the SES, it is asking for price (although the price is available in the PO). Even though when we enter the price it is not accepting. What is the problem and how to solve this. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

First check the qty and price mainatained in PO.
And ensure the service entry has not been made for the item (qty and value still available)
While entering SES select service selection option is there in the bottom of the screen. In this enter PO number and select and adopt.
So that qty and price will be adopted from the PO.
Still it is showing error, then check ML33 or ML 39 or ML45 and ensure conditions maintained with validity period or not?
If the validity period ends the price u maintained in the PO will not be picked during SES.

Button "Service Selection" in ML81N doesn't appear

After introducing the PO and creating the SES, the button "Service Selection" is missing, so I can't continue doing the SES.
This happens only in DEV, but not in QAS and PROD.
I believe it has nothing to do with customizing.

Check latest GUI 6.40 or 7.10 version and update patch level in DEV. Better Consult Basis Consultant.

Playing a ts-file in an application (JMF,without Tuning/service selection)

Hey there!
I got a ts-File (1.438.1) on HDD and i am trying to play it using a jmf-player in my application. I know that MHP does not support playing video from HDD but the IRT RI (which i use) does..
For a ts is also just a *.mpg-file i thought my solution would work..
Anyway, my stream is found but i get a org.davic.net.tuning.NotTunedException.
Here's a piece of my code:

First of all, thank you for trying to help me out!
I tried the code i posted above (using BackgroundVideoPresentationControl and a quarter sized video area in the upper right corner).
The NullPointer is thrown at the following line:
transformation = scalingControl.getClosestMatch(transformation);
I also tried other positions and video sizes but nothing worked at all..
For at least quarter size video should be supported i am not quite sure where the problem is..
As i said i also tried AWTVideoSizeControl with something like:
source = new Rect(0,0,320,288);
dest = new Rect(source.getBounds());
videoSize = new AWTVideoSize(source,destination);
When i do something like:
transformation.setVideoSize(videoSize);
i get a NullPointer too!
Do you have any ideas what my problems might be?

P.S.:
My *.ts-File was captured with a DVB-Card and contains 6 Services (that only contain TV-programs). For i am not able to test it by now (because i don't see any video ;-( ) i have another question (Because i am a little bit confused concerning service selection):
Is it possible to play the different services of my ts-File (that's on my HDD) with the JMF , or do i 0have to use the service selection API for adressing the different streams (or services)? I guess this is not necessary for i can just set a parameter in the
line:
targetVideo = new MediaLocator(dvb://1.438.3);
that describes the service (3 in that case). Am i right or am i really really confused and a hopeless case??

Service selection tab in Service entry sheet

Hi,
When i am trying to create Service Entry Sheet using ML81N, service selection tab is not displayed at the bottom.
So i am not able to adopt the services from PO.
This is working fine in dev and prd, but the problem is with qas.
please let me know what could be the reason.

this is the problem raised from client side,
we didnt observe since how long this problem persists only in qas.
Basic things like authorization, entering for correct PO....i have taken care off.
And i checked there is no transaction variant also for this ml81n.
There is no BADI implementation also reg this function/
I am not sure, what else i left,
please if anyone faced similar problem, let me know the solution.

How to extract the percentage of service received in SES (ML81N).

Dear Experts,
I am in need to extract the percentage of service received in SES (ML81N). I used eslh and esll but there I am getting total quantity was in PO. For example, in PO service quantity is 1 was received three partial quantity ( .4, .3 and .3 ) in three different Service Entry number. Can anybody suggest how can I get that.

Create number range for Service Entry Sheet (SES)

I would like it is possible to configure the number range for Service Entry Sheet (SES) or it is fixed in the system? Besides, for my current configuration, the number only appear when SES is done but no reversal number if I reversed the SES, is this a correct setting? Or is there any way I can set the number for reversal document?

How to display a selection option for service selection

Dear All,
I want to display the selection option ("Other sources") which I find
in the /nse80 screen painter but cannot be display in the ME22N.
/nME22N
-> select one Purchase Order for Services
-> select one Item Line
-> at "Services" tab on Item Details Level
-> Add new ICON behind "Serv. selection"
Any ideas?

Actually, I find a User Exit program ("EXIT_SAPLMLSP_011") in selection screen program ("SAPLMLSP" ). This User Exit is for the radio button ("Other sources").
However, I don't know how to activate that button at ME22N.
By the way, can you go more details on how screen exits work?

Because it requires changes in the Standard Program .
And this work is done by ABAPers only.
They will do development as per your requirement ,Test it and Transport it.

User Key input for service selection

Hi, Is there an easy way of transfering keyEvents that are received in the keyPressed(KeyEvent keyEvent) method from a AWT keylistener to the middleware so it does its service selection.
I'm using the current focussed AWT component method for handling keyevents. Sometimes when the user presses numeric keys I want them to be handled by the middleware, so a service selection happens.
However my current focussed AWT component "eats" these numeric keys (because of the AWT event mechanism I presume). How can I pass them on or send them back to the middleware?
An alternative way I thought of was doing a service selection from within my app but if other methods exist I would like to try those first.

If you are using the MHP, I think you can also receive the event that your focus owner are receiving by using the addUserEventListener(UserEventListener listener,UserEventRepository userEvents) of the org.dvb.EventManager class. If you don't want your focused component to listen to this event, you can use the addUserEventListener(UserEventListener listener,ResourceClient client, UserEventRepository userEvents) method of the same class.

MSS and Service Selection

I am creating a model service specification say for construction of house. There are various outline paths say different floors and services under each path. However some services like RCC work are being used under more than one outline path. While selcting services from MSS completely or partially, is it possible to get the sum of quantities of a service as asingle service line itemin PR or PO?

There is a subtle but important difference between service selection and playing content from another service. This applies to JMF players in general, and not just MediaSelectControl.
Playing new content involves the following steps
1) Read the SI that is needed to decode and play the new content, and start playing it.
Service selection involves the following steps:
1) Tune to the TS containing the new service (if necessary).
2) Read the SI that is needed to decode and play the default streams from the new service, and start playing them.
3) Begin monitoring the AIT, and kill/start applications as instructed.
I bolded the last step because that is the important one, and is the one that differentiates playing a new stream from service selection. A service consists of both video/audio and the applications, and so selecting a new service involves changing both of those elements.
Simply playing a different video stream, no matter what the source, doesn't change the set of apps that will run. Event tuning to a new TS doesn't change this (although it may affect the ability to load them).
Because of this, MediaSelectControl never causes a service selection operation, and neither does creating a Player for a different service. In both cases, the MHP implementation will still monitor the AIT on the original service. As you've alreadsy noted, mediaSelectControl will not cause the box to tune (neither will creating a new Player), but this is simply to prevent apps inconveniencing other apps unless they explicitly choose to do so.
To answer your last question, it looks like the JavaTV RI is not MHP compliant.
Hopefully this will clarify things a little, but if not let me know where is still confusing and I'll try to answer.

Error Log in Acceptance Posting : Service Entry Sheet (SES)

Dear all,
During acceptance of SES, i encountered the error message below:
RC= 3 F5 672 G/L Account <company code> 280000 not consistent.
Using the error message id, i manage to trace it down to a standard FI substitution rule LFACIF02. Whereby, it needs the G/L account 280000 master data to have this field "only balances in local currency" tick / selected. (tcode FS00, tab Control Data)
Now, i am pretty confuse with this finding -- what does this field actually do ?
The framework order PO created holds the similar currency as the G/L account's currency. I read the help info via F1, but don't understand why, when the field is untick, it will lead to the error message above.
Appreciate it you could shed some lights on this matter. Thanks in advance.

Use T.code:FS00 and check G/L account 280000 is there in your company code or not.
If yes, check its nature(type/description,control data , cretae bank/intererst tabs)of G/L
NOTE: Also check and compare the field selection between Movement type 101 & your G/L account 280000 in SE38 t.code with Program RM07CUFA

Manipulate Product/Service Selection at start of SC (SRM 7.0)

I want to manipulate the possibility of selecting 'Product' or 'Service' at the beginning of SC creation. Normally I would do this with BAdI BBP_SC_MODIFY_UI. But this doesn't help. Is there any other place which needs to be considered or checked?
I have the following situation:
Selection is disabled and the value is 'Product'.
Customer wants to have the selection of 'Product' and 'Service' again.
Any help would be appritiated.

You need to know the ID of the UI element as well. Example:
lo_element = view->get_element( id = 'ITM_TYPE_DROPDOWN' ).
IF lo_element IS BOUND.

How do I properly set up my PHP-service to insert, select, update and delete values from multiple tables?
So far, the standard templates generated by Flash Builder is based on a single table.
Example: I have 2 tables: [person] and [school]
[person] has [person_id, first_name, last_name, birthdate]
[school] has [school_id, person_id, school_name, city]
One [person] can have multiple [schools]
How should I define the selectByID function in PHP to be able to have

First, the relationship between school and person is many-to-many NOT one-to-many -- you will need to add a junction table.
From the form you have given I would handle insertions like this:
loop through all the schools and see if the school already exist in the DB. If so, then store the school_id. If not, then create a new record and store the id. You should have an array collection of store_ids by the end of the loop
Check whether the student exists w/in the DB. If so, then you might consider aborting the operation or you could opt to do an update. If the student doesn't exist, then create a new student record and store the new student_id (mysql::insert_id)
Loop through the school_id array and add new student_id/school_id records into the junction table.
Retrieving records is much simpler -- it's just a join on the tables i.e. "SELECT * FROM student INNER JOIN school_student ON student.student_id = school_student.student_id INNER JOIN schools ON school_student.school_id = school.school_id WHERE student.first_name = 'John' AND student.last_name = 'Doe' (assuming there aren't more than one John Does of course!).
