Services port for web access

I would like to change default port for all web services from port 80 to port 8080 and have full access to webmail, iCal, web page, wiki
How can I do that?

Hello Jay!
Take a look at this doc:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/solutions/Verticals/mstdcmsftex.html#wp609677
RPC requires source ip sticky in order to operate correctly through a loadbalancer.  In the doc, they also walk through doing RPC over http/https - however, I have seen configurations where ACE is not L5-L7 that use RPC on port 135 as a L4 rule with sticky and it appears to work ok.

  • Using 2nd Built-In Ethernet port for internet access?

    Hello,
I have a Quad-G5 running 10.4.8. In its current configuration, all its network communications, including web access, go over the active ethernet port (Built-in 1).
Does anyone know how I could use the second built-in port for internet access only? I'd like to route local traffic over the first port, but go "out" over the second.
The machine is on a corporate network, and proxy access is slowwww. I have the ability to use a direct connect to the internet, but still need to be connected locally. Any thoughts? Many thanks . . . JD

Easy. Go to System Preferences > Network > Network Port Configurations and drag the port connected to the internet to the top, so that it has priority over the port connected to your LAN. This prevents DNS time-out when loading a website, but still allows LAN traffic over the other port because that traffic is most likely going to use ARP rather than DNS. For good measure, you can add your company's domain (such as "my_company.lan") to System Preferences > Network > Internal_Ethernet > TCP/IP > Search Domains.

  • How to install certs for web access

Hi all: While I have done this several times using ConsoleOne in previous versions of GW, I cannot seem to find a good write-up on installing certificates for Web Access in GW 2014. I came across this TID (https://www.novell.com/support/kb/doc.php?id=7010584) but I am not sure this applies to Web Access. Can anyone point me to a How-To or TID which describes installing certs specifically for Web Access (2014)? We are running GW 2014.0.1 on an OES11 SP2 server.
    Thanks, Chris.

    Hi Chris,
The TID you referenced in your first post also applies to WebAccess.
When running GroupWise/WebAccess on OES/SLES/Linux, it's not really about doing something for GroupWise WebAccess, but about doing something for Apache. So you can approach this as a generic Apache thing.

If you have those files you can add them to the apache2 configuration as the TID mentions.
You are missing one file in your listing.... the key file. Without the key file, it won't work.
    If you have those three files on the webaccess server, simply add lines to the vhost file;
    SSLCertificateFile </path/to/ourdomain.crt)>
    SSLCertificateKeyFile </path/to/ourdomain.key)>
    SSLCertificateChainFile <path/to/sf_bundle.crt>
    Then reload Apache.
Also make sure root is the only user that can read those files (mainly important to shield the key file used).
If there are no errors upon reloading Apache, the new certificates should then be in use.
In general, this blog post might give some more insight on the openssl process :https://www.digitalocean.com/communi...-keys-and-csrs

  • Dynamic Logical Port for Web Service Client

    Hi *!
We want to use the same Web Service Client code with different Web Service instances running on different systems. So I need to configure the logical port (especially the URL of the endpoint) dynamically at runtime.
Please give me a hint, how this is done.
(we are using WebAS 6.40 SP7)...
    Thanks in advance,
         Frank

    Hi Frank,
I hope you were able to solve your issue on you own in the meantime.
I was looking for the answer to this question today. This was the only thread I found on SDN. Unfortunately, it did not contain an answer yet. I was able to figure out a way to set the endpoint address dynamically after searching help.sap.com and after examining the interfaces offered by the Stub (logical port in this case) classes.
Here's an extract from my code:
    // Connect to JNDI context
    InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
// Get reference to web service proxy from JNDI context
    Z_MSC_GET_SCHEDULE_WSDService service =
         (Z_MSC_GET_SCHEDULE_WSDService) ic.lookup("wsclients/proxies/iot-online.de/msc~srv_ejb~proxy/de.iot_online.msc.proxy.ScheduleReaderProxy");
// Get reference to logical port from web service proxy
    Z_MSC_GET_SCHEDULE_WSD logicalPort = service.getLogicalPort();
// Set URL of web service Endpoint
    logicalPort._setProperty(Stub.ENDPOINT_ADDRESS_PROPERTY, "http://<FQDN>:8010/sap/bc/srt/rfc/sap/Z_MSC_GET_SCHEDULE_WSD?sap-client=100");
    This is explained on
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwce10/helpdata/en/45/113a1221337249e10000000a155369/frameset.htm
You can also set the credentials (username / password) with the method _setProperty.
    Best regards

  • Dynamic Host and Port for Web Proxy

    hi,
When I create a web proxy in JDev I supply the hostname and the port for the web service. The code is then compiled and then deployed. However I want the host and port to be dynamic (kept in a varaible) so when I move my deployment from Development to Test server I just need to change a value in a database or text file. I don't want to re-compile and deploy the code when I move servers. Is there any way to do this??
    Thanks
    Stephen

    Hi,
not so in the WSDL file that is created. If from the client side access, then WS poxy classes allow you to do this

  • WLAN controller 4400 series, use service-port for initial configuration, IP address?

    Hi, Everyone,
I just got a new Cisco  Wlan controller 4402 from somebody else but I can't find a suitable console cable( DB-9 console on the controller) , I googled everywhere and I read I could use service port to do the initial configuration, the CISCO FAQ says initial IP for service port is 192.168.1.1, I tried use Cross-over   cable to connect a PC to the service port directly and use a normal cable with a switch to connect the service port and  a PC, both of the connections do not work out:  from the PC, I can't ping 192.168.1.1 ( PC IP changed to 192.168.1.20) , nor can I go http://192.168.1.1 .  The service port Link is solid GREEN and ACT is solid GREEN, the PC NIC says Connected with 100 Mbps , so I'm wondering the IP address of service port is not 192.168.1.1?  Please help.
Any sussgestions and advices are  greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
plz connect service port to the switch port that should be configured as access.
connect a pc (ip address - as u mentioned) to the other port of the switch. both wlc and pc should be in same vlan (create a temperary vlan).
try https to access the wlc.
    Thanks

  • Report writing for Web Access

Is there any good guides that people know of for writing reports in P6 v6.1?
I'm trying to integrate them into the P6 Web Access and not having much joy, but a bit better knowledge of how to build them originally might just help too.

Why 6.1 ? why not use the new version that uses BI publisher for reports, not only is it more powerful, there are 3rd party books available about it.

  • Issue on Service Ports for outgoing connection

    Hi,
My question is regarding to my desktop Mac making outgoing connection to an external IP address 184.84.124.244 using TCP protocol destination port 443 but using 40 Service Ports between 49170 through 49217.  This is an automatic outgoing connection by OS X 10.7.3 (I assumed as I did not make that connection).  Why such connection required 40 ports to be opened at the same time?  Anyone have any idea what might have caused that?  Thanks.

There could be lots of outgoing connections when you fire up Safari, as an example, because by default it has many favourites that are RSS feeder. You could have added some new yourself.
How do I find out if those connections stay up indefinitely?
By the way just curious, how did you look up the IP address as who they are?
If you are "Terminal aware" there are some commands that can help you in this direction
    host
host is a simple utility for performing DNS lookups. It is normally used to convert names to IP addresses and vice versa. When no arguments or options are given, host prints a short summary of its command line arguments and options.
    netstat
    show network status
    whois
The whois utility looks up records in the databases maintained by several Network Information Centers (NICs).
    nslookup
    query Internet name servers interactively
    dig
dig (domain information groper) is a flexible tool for interrogating DNS name servers. It performs DNS lookups and displays the answers that are returned from the name server(s) that were queried. Most DNS administrators use dig to troubleshoot DNS problems because of its flexibility, ease of use and clarity of output. Other lookup tools tend to have less functionality than dig.
    just to name a few.
netstat in particular let you know which connections and their relative status are going on between your computer and the rest of the world

  • Any alternative to BT Yahoo for web access to emai...

When I am at home I access my btinternet email account using Microsoft Outlook, but when I am away I often have to use the BT Yahoo web access which I find dreadful. I object to using it with all those adverts and flashing lights. Is there any alternative browser access, as I'd rather never have to use the BT Yahoo interface?
    Thanks
    Bill

    mlogin.yahoo.com
or, if you're happy providing your login credentials to a 3rd party, use a gmail or similar account and use it to fetch your BTY mail.
I hate the adverts etc as well. It's acceptable (to me) with eg a freebie @yahoo.co.uk account, but not on a subscription service.

  • Self Service Requests for OIM Access Policies

In the absence of a Role Management product, is there a good way to enable OIM End User Self Service to process requests and approvals for OIM Access Policies or OIM Groups?
    Any suggestions are appreciated!
    KC

Ultimately the group membership will trigger an access policy. The access policy assignment is the goal, the group assignment is the typical method to assign the access policy to the user.
When creating a dummy resource, I assume that resource would have a lookup on the form to select the group name. Is this what you are suggesting?

  • Serial port for console access to switch

Just got a Netgear L2 Switch, and need to use VT100 terminal emulation to connect to the switch's serial port.
Does anyone know how to enable the Xserve's serial port for this type of job? When running Zterm for OS X I get an "Error: 16 opening port" and I'm at a loss for how to do it. I've heard that USB to Serial adapters have been working, but it seems silly that the serial port wouldnt work.

Thanks Camelot, your advice was spot on.
    Just to close the topic:
    Edit "/System/Library/StartupItems/SerialTerminalSupport/SerialTerminalSupport"
    and change the line:
    ENABLESERIALTERMINAL=$TRUE
    to
    ENABLESERIALTERMINAL=$FALSE
also, may be redundant with the last step but I edited /etc/ttys and changed:
    tty.serial "/usr/libexec/getty serial.9600" vt100 on secure
    to
    tty.serial "/usr/libexec/getty serial.9600" vt100 off secure
Finally, dont be an idiot like I am, and leave the XServe case lock on... this will prevent the port from operating, and cause you to go crazy.

  • Changing ports for web server

    Hey everyone,
I have a small problem: changing the port for the default site.
I know how it's done for custom sites (though I haven't yet figured out how to reach those via the browser).
For the default site however its set to 443 and i cannot change that - I also haven't found any entry in the httpd.conf that relates to the secure port.
Is there a way to switch between http and https?
    Thanks a lot,
    Chris

Thanks for the very prompt reply, kevj!  I followed the instructions exactly.  However, on the Tools dropdown menu, I clicked on Options....but there is/was no Ports listed (all the usual icons: Getting Started, Checking Mail, Incoming Mail, Sending Mail, Composing Mail, Internet Dialup, etc.  BUT no incon for Ports!  I went through clicking on every icon, checking thoroughly every possibility...buttons, etc...and can find nowhere anything where a Port is shown, or anything where it might be changed.  I don't know how long it will be before Comcast closes Port 25, and really desperate about this.
OK...I just downloaded and installed Eudora so I could figure this out...and it turns out to be rather easy...
To set up encryption for RECEIVED mail (not required by Comcast, but recommended):
Under Tools...Options, look at the 'Checking Mail' item. Set up the 'Secure Sockets when Receiving' option like this:
Once you receive mail using this setting, if you come back to this option screen and click on 'Last SSL Info' it will show that you connected over port 995.
To set up encryption for SENDING mail (this is required by Comcast):
Under Tools...Options, look at the 'Sending Mail' item. Set up the 'Secure Sockets when Sendin' option like this:
Again, once you set this up and send an email successfully, if you come back to this option screen and click on 'Last SSL Info' it will show that you connected over port 465.
Let us know if this works...it did for me...

WebAccess just (normally) wants port 80. You can static NAT it, or reverse
proxy it through BMgr. Older versions of BMgr (3.6 or earlier) put in
default filter exceptions for reverse proxy (both port 80 and 443), but
later versions require you to add your own filter exceptions.
NetWare Web Manager - do you mean for Novonyz Web Server? If so, the port
used depends on what you configured for it. You could use static NAT, or
generic tcp proxy, or (I think) reverse proxy for whatever port Web Manager
is using. Newer web manager for Apache uses port 2200, I think.

  • Creating alias for Web access to SQL Server Reporting Services

    Hello colleagues.
I have MS SQL Server 2012 with SQL Server Reporting Services in domain "domain.local". In the local network at the entrance via Web browser to "mdr.domain.local/Reports" get into Reports of SQL Server Reporting Services and it's work fine.
Necessary that the SQL Server Reporting Services could include via Web browser from alias "reports2.domain.local/Reports". To do this:
    1) I created a new A record "reports2" in the DNS leading to IP mdr.domain.local
    2) in Reporting Services Configuration Manager on a tab "Web Service URL" in "Report Server Web Service URLs" I add new record "http://reports2:80/ReportServer" (host Header Name: reports2)
BUT "reports2.domain.local/Reports" is not work. When entering to "reports2.domain.local/Reports" I see page "An error in the security certificate for this Web Site..." and when I click "Continue to ...", then "Unable
    to find a web page."
What and where I must add/change for work of alias "reports2.domain.local/Reports" by analogy with "mdr.domain.local/Reports"?
    I hope for your help.
    Thanks.

    WooW it's work!!! Thank you
    JJordheim  you are the best!
With my PKI I create new certificate for "reports2.domain.local" and Import it to MDR server (in Personal). I create new network adapter and configure Reporting Services Configuration on "Report manager URL" tab (for SSL):
    mdr.domain.local - certificate "mdr.domain.local" - network adapter №1
    reports2.domain.local - certificate "reports2.sygroup.local" - network adapter №2
    And all work fine.
If I configure all to 1 network adapter it's doesn't work.
