Servlet 3.0: Annotation-Scanning although "metadata-complete=true" allowed?

Hello,
according Servlet 3.0 spec a "metadata-complete=true" in web.xml MUST deactivate the annotation scanning in deployment phase. That is EXTREMELY important for huge web applications. Is annotation scanning also forbidden while application STARTUP? Is the application startup part of the deployment phase in terms of the specification?
Background - The following scenario does NOT work anymore for Websphere Application Server 8.5:

Therefore IMHO WAS 8.5 isn't completely JEE6 conform. Do you agree?

Synchronize Folder - Scan For Metadata Updates

Can anybody explain to me, what exactly is supposed to happen when I am synchronizing folders and have "Scan for metadata updates" checked?
What kind of metadata is searched
(I notice that keywords are not synchronized)
What action is supposed to be taken
(write metadata to image, read metadata into catalog, any prompt before updates?)
The manual isn't really specific about this, and by trying I haven't really found out what to expect.

Basically, the folder is scanned for new or changed images. The metadata changes will include new or updated IPTC, Keywords, ratings, labels, develop adjustments, which will have been applied in an external app such as Bridge/Camera Raw. If the folder contains new images these will be identified as such. If an image has been removed from the folder but still remains in the catalog you will be notified and given the choice of removing it.
Synchronise Folder does NOT save anything back to the actual files. If you have made a change to a file in Lightroom that change will NOT be applied to the actual file when Sync Folder is run. It reads the folder for externally applied changes/additions/omissions and subject to user choice will update the catalog accordingly.

Overview scan failed to complete on HP 8610

I am using MAC OS-X Yosemite 10.10.2. Printer works great. Scanning is sporatic. Works one minute and not the next. Software is updated for both operting system and printer. A message appears "Overview scan failed to complete". The printer is set to scan to computer. It was working fine this morning and now I can't get it to scan. I have unplugged and restarted the computer and printer numerous times. What is the issue? Using Officejet Pro 8610 All in One. There is no issue with the internet.

I should be able to provide some suggestions that may help resolve the scanning issue! Is the printer connected Wi-Fi? I can see you have power cycled the printer and computer but if the printer is connected Wi-Fi its signal travels through the router. I recommend power cycling the router too.
You should also ensure scan to computer is still enabled on the Mac. You can check this in the HP Utility. To locate the HP Utility click on the Spotlight (Magnifying glass) in the top right corner of the Mac. Type HP Utility and it should show up as one if the first options. Within HP Utility should be an option "Manage scan to computer". Select that and ensure it is enabled.
If you are still getting the issue then I suggest uninstalling the HP Software. After the software is uninstalled I recommend performing a "repair disk permissions" on your Mac. A repair disk permissions is a utility built in the Mac operating system designed to locate and resolve issues or errors. After the repair disk permission is complete restart your Mac computer and re-install the software.

Once the install is complete I recommend checking for software updates on the Mac. To check for software updates click the "apple" icon at the to left and click on "app store". In the app store you can click the "updates" icon at the top of the window. Install and Hp or printer updates. After any updates you should restart the computer.
If you are still getting the issue then you can use Image Capture and initiate the scan from the Mac. Image Capture is an application in the mac that allows you to scan. To get Image Capture click on the Spotlight (Magnifying glass) in the top right corner of the Mac. Type Image Capture and it should show up as one if the first options. Select it and in the window select your printer on the left side. It may be located under shared. Once your printer is selected you should get scan options on the right side. I recommend using Image Capture because you get a lot more settings and options for scanning.

Overview Scan failed to complete

Suddenly I can no longer scan and get a prompt that says 'The overview scan failed to complete'. I rarely use my scanner and have had a couple of updates that may have blocked my ability to scan as I was having no problem a few weeks ago. No problem printing. Suggestions?

I understand that you are no longer able to scan from your HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One Printer to your Mac OS X 10.9 computer. I would like to assist you today with resolving this issue. Can I please have you follow the steps below to correct any software or driver conflicts that a computer update may have caused. Step 1: Reset the Print System: To start, I am going to have you Reset the Print System on your Mac as it is important that we have a nice clean slate to work with for troubleshooting. Please click here for instructions on how to perform the Reset. When the website opens follow the steps under 'Resetting the printing system in OS X Lion' as the steps are the same for your Mac OS X 10.9 Operating System. This Reset will remove every printer from your Mac. However, it does not uninstall the printers. 4630 Scan Failed to complete error - OS X Yosemite

I bought the 4630 about a month ago and have tried scanning on 3 different Macs running OSX 10.10.1. The first scan after initial set up works. After that, I get either "The overview scan failed to complete" if the Details window is open or "The scanner failed to complete the scan" if the Details window is hidden. I've tried re-installing the 4630 dozens of times. I just downloaded the last HP software for it. Please help.

I can see you're experiencing scan issues. I'd love to help with that!
I have a few steps I'd recommend:
I would suggest deleting the printer from your print system, using this document: Uninstalling the Printer Software.
Once you have deleted it, I would suggest verifying and repairing the disk permissions: About Disk Utility's Repair Disk Permissions feature.
I would also suggest running your Apple updates: OS X: Updating OS X and Mac App Store apps
After the updates, I would recommend reinstalling the printer: HP Officejet 4630 e-All-in-One Printer series Full Feature Software and Drivers.

More than one schedule line when 'Only complete delibery allowed'

Hi guys!!
I need your help to solve a problem with the shipping of our sales orders. We have a customer which has been set with 'C' 'Only complete delibery allowed' in the field 'partial delibery per item', but if a sales order is blocked because credit limit has been exceeded and we try to release the order, the system automatically set several schedule lines in the schedule lines tab of the sales order. I know afterwards the system will not allow us to delibery the order unless we ship the whole line, but Is there any way to avoid the system set more than one schedule line?

How many schedules are created. Normally if the system couldn't confirm the stock on the Requested Delivery date, then it will create one schedule line with zero quantity for that requested del date. Since it is a complete delivery, it should have only one more schedule line. If you have only two schedule lines, then it is working fine. If not, pl check the sales order whether that complete delivery is determined or not.

How to use 0vtc in production although prod. isn't allowed for customizing

I have created some routes and want to add transportation service agent datas into these routes by using 0vtc transaction code. But in the client that we are using for customizing we don't have and don't create the service agent master data and we can't customize 0vtc in production as customizing is not allowed in that client.
I need to learn how to use 0vtc in production client although production is not allowed for customizing.

Are you trying to do configuration in Production system?
Production systems are locked for configuration, you can not do any configuration in prodcution client other than some manual configurations. Your T code 0VTC is not a manual configuration so you can not do it production. And ruotes are defined as master data, use LSMW to upload the route data in prodcution. Ask your Basis team for authorization to do the same.

WI re-appears in SBWP although activity completed

Hi Gurus,
Under some circumstance, the WF-BATCH for our client has been locked due to many unsuccessful logon.
We have unlocked from the WF-BATCH and now the workflows are working fine.
Issue:
We found out that ever since the WF-BATCH is locked, WI still appear in the user's inbox although the WI has been completed.
(The WF is designed that after that activity (foreground), the WF end.)
Question:
Is there any background jobs / report that I can utilise to clear-off those completed WI from user's inbox?

There are some inquiries that would like more info on your recommendation:
a) process control step - doesn't that makes a redundant step in the workflow itself since the wf will set to completed once after the activity completed?
b) FORK and wait for event step - what event that I should wait for?

Virtual copies are not synchronized in a second Lightroom catalogue although metadata are written in XMP and synchronization with metadata was selected

Dear community,
I operate one Mac with Lightroom 5.7 that is configured to store all metadata in xmp files. The Lightroom catalogue is stored locally on the Mac and only contains references to the images and their xmp files that are stored on a network device. There is another Mac with the same configuration having a separate local Lightroom catalogue and access to the same images on the network device.
At a starting point, both Lightroom catalogues are identical - they refer to the same images on the network device and contain the same metadata.
When I update image properties on the first Mac, these changes are reflected in the xmp file. After using the option "synchronize" with activated "metadata synchronization" on the second Mac, the modified image properties are visible on the second Mac. This is fine.
However, when I create a virtual copy on the first Mac, I realize that the corresponding xmp file gets updated. However, even after synchronization, the virtual copy is not visible on the second Mac. I may modify image properties of the original image and get these modifications replicated to the second Mac, but the virtual copies remain on the first Mac.
What needs to be done that also virtual copies get synchronized?

I do not doubt that File Export / File Import will work to transfer the virtual copies.
My question was related to the fact whether the imported folder should not previously exist on the second Mac.
Consider the following situation:
time = 0:
first Mac: folder A is in a first status
second Mac: folder A is in a first status
time = 1:
first Mac: folder A is in a second status, export folder A in second status
second Mac: folder A is in a first status, import folder A in second status
My question is: What happens with these two folder A on the second Mac? Does folder A in the Lightroom catalogue of the second Mac gets overwritten? Do I receive an error message because folder A is already present in the Lightroom catalogue?
I understand your answer that everything will be fine on the second Mac if there is no folder A at all at the second Mac while I import the new folder A. Under this assumption, I can import folder A and it will show the second status. Clearly.
My question is only related to the fact that there is already a folder A on the second Mac, with the same images, but with different metadata and/or virtual copies.

Struts2 annotation - validation for spaces to be allowed in name

I am using annotations for validations in my struts2 based application. I want to allow the spaces between company name to user. I was trying following expressions but these are not working... Please let me know what symbol should I use in expression for allowing spaces:

Bug Report: enum metadata containing 'true' and 'false' string values not displaying unless "goosed"

I have metadata whose value is 'true' but the corresponding enum title is not being displayed. If I set it explicitly to 'true' it will be displayed even though the value is the same as it was.
Likewise for 'false'.
I do not have this problem with enums that have any other string values i.e. 'yes' and 'no' function properly, but 'true' and 'false' do not.

Annotating a protected PDF with comments allowed - how?

I have a protected PDF that you can't copy from but which you commenting is allowed in. I can comment (add sticky notes and highlight) with no problem in Adobe Reader on a PC but in the Adobe Reader for iPad App the annotation features are still not allowed. I have Adobe Acrobat Pro XI and think I have chosen all of the correct settings (because it works on the PC in Adobe Reader). How do enable the annotations for this document in Adobe Reader for iPad? Can I?

We really..really hope that the fixes to enable annotation will be provided asap because we had a lot of feedbacks from our users that had been embarked with the LiveCycle policy protected file had requested to have the annotation feature. Even the annotation tool is now available in the adobe reader mobile but the tool cannot be used for protected file with LiveCycle policy. Quite disappointed response by our users on the unavailable feature for annotation.
Please let us know when we could expect the fixes to be provided and we could tell the good news to our valuable users.

I want to cancel my subscription, it is not user friendly, when I to convert a scanned document it would not allow me to. I would like a refund and cancel my annual subscription.

I purchased this because I could scan a document and be able to fill out anything with my computer instead of writing everything in. It would not allow me to do this, stating the program I purchased was not capable. I would like a refund and cancel my annual subscription.

I got taken - you should refund - knowing you have a product that is defective. I learned - word of mouth is the best advertising you will get and I will post on my Facebook - do not buy from Adobe!

On-access scanning disabled itself, will not allow me to turn it back on; on-demand scan not working

Hello and thank you in advance to anyone who can help me. I have two issues: (1) On-access scanning turned itself off and I am not able to turn it back on. When I clicked on the button next to "the on-access scanner is off", it just says "Start scanning" and is greyed. (2) When I try to do an on-demand scan, it scans for less than a second and stops. Message says no threats but "issues detected".Here is a log I came across if this helps: Sophos Anti-Virus

The error that you (and probably others) are seeing is definitely an issue we've improved and likely fixed in the 9.4 release that is currently in preview. We expect to release this version to everyone at the end of this month, if everything goes to plan.
