Setting Default Camera Calibration

How do I set the Camera Calibration to default to a certain profile. I used to use Presets when I imported the adjustment was applied then. I import now and have to go and change the Camera Calibration then SYNC the current folder to apply the profile. Faster easier way to do this?

  • ECC BUPA BDT: setting default CAM "Communication language"

    Hi,
I thought I'd better ask for help before I'm starting to feel like I'm loosing sanity... My system is NW 702 SAPKB70211, IS-UT 605 SAPK-60508INISUT, all screens and behaviours from Transaction BP.
I'm trying to set the defaults for Central Address Management (CAM) Communication language and country for Organizations and Groups (and Correspondence language for Persons). I've done the ISDAT BDT "Event" FM reccomended so often on SCN, setting the busdefault-country and busdefault-langu using  BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_SET, and all seems well - the Address tab at least:
    - for Person:
    - for Org and Group:
The trouble starts when one tries to create Adress from Address Overview of Org or Group - the default language is just not there, and neither is country:
It turns out that, after defaults have been taken over in BUA_BUPA_PBO_BUA110 once, SAP standard resets (why, Hasso, why on earth would your guys need to do something like that.!?! ) the busdefault-langu if the BP type is other than Person (and telnr, faxnr_call, mc_city1, country, mc_street, post_code1, house_num1 for all types). In my desperation I even tried to use the SET/GET parameter SPR from FORM d0100_read_address of LSZA1O02. The trouble is - BUPA calls the thousand and one global flags CAM monstrocity so that g_address_is_optional is always set.
So... before I start controlling what of their glabal data for BUPA defaults SAP logic can or can not modify via implicit inhancement in BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_SET (if the logic is fine with taking those over once per session, why not n times...) does anyone know a straightforward and reliable way of defaulting CAM language and country (for organization and group)?
I've searched OSS up and down but found nothing appliccable that would be helpful.
    Thank you and cheers
    Janis

Ok, since the standard logic for BP default values is barely more than "useless" (defaults taken over only once, if the transaction mode for BP is create... meaning, they will not be taken over if you create an address in change mode of BP...), I ended up with:
    - implicit enhancement at the begin of BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_SET protecting (SAPLBUD0)-gl_busdefault against overwriting via this FM (it obviously can't protect from changes within SAPLBUD0 itself... of which there are plenty);
    - implicit enhancement at the end of BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_GET, delivering e_busdefault from the state protected within my singleton;
    - implicit enhancement at the beginning of ADDR_EXP_SUBSCREEN, setting the VALUE(SUGGESTED_VALUES) from busdefault state protected within my singleton for ADDRESS_GROUP 'BP' (I shouldn't really be changing input parameters inside the FM, I know, I know...) AND pushing the protected state back into (SAPLBUD0)-gl_busdefault via BUP_BUPA_FIELDVALUES_SET...
The latter I needed to fight against standard logic loosing default country for Persons if one navigates to Address overview and deletes the standard address...
The reason I'm going to such lengths to set this stuff programmatically rather than via SHD0 transaction variants or something similar... I don't want to have to find every transaction within ECC that permits to edit BP and create variants for them; I don't want to have to adjust those variants when something changes in dynpros.
I'm thorougly fedup with BP and ECC and am ready for "R/4" (or whatever replaces it)
    cheers

  • How to set default camera profile?

    Hi,
I'm using LR 2.2, and have the camera profiles (love 'em :)
I'd like to arrange that one of these become the default for new imports. How should I do that?
    TIA
    Simon

There are two ways. One is to take an image taken with the camera you are using. Then you hit reset and the only thing you do is to change the profile to the setting you'd like. Then you hold alt/option and the reset button will change into "set default.." just hit that and now all new imports from that camera will use the profile as default. Secondly, what you can do is generate presets that apply only the profile and simply apply them during import.

  • Camera Calibration default setting question

HI I'm using a Canon 5D w/ LR3.3. I want to set the Camera Calibration (in the Develop module) to Adobe Standard and have it set that way all the time. I have looked in Preferences and cant find a way to do this?
    Thanks

One other question: When I look at the Process drop-down, (right above Profile), it now says '2003'. Before when it said, '2010 Current'. Is that just because Adobe Standard came out in 2003?
The process version has nothing to do with the camera profile selected, Adobe Standard exists for all LR supported cameras, and has so before PV2010.
The process version influences the way the Raw processing pipeline works (pre LR3 vs. LR3). Quote from the manual:
    Lightroom 3 uses improved processes
to calculate Detail and Fill Light adjustments. Photos that are
edited for the first time in Lightroom 3 use these new processes.
Photos that were adjusted using a previous version of Lightroom
    do not.
To take advantage of the newer processing technology,
however, you can update photos to the current process version.
The process version specifies which version of the Camera Raw sharpening
and noise reduction functions are used to adjust and render photos.
The new process version is Process 2010. The old process version
    is Process 2003.
I guess you might have been looking at a newly imported image when you saw 2010, and are looking at an image imported before LR3 when you see 2003.
And should I be using Adobe Standard in the first place? Is it just a personel thing?
It is a personal preference for a starting point to work on your images. I use Adobe Standard for my 5DMkII as well, whereas I use a different one for my 1DsMkII, because I don't like the Adobe Standard there.

  • How to Save Camera Calibration and Lens Correction in Camera raw 6.1

I downloaded and installed the Camera Raw 6.1 release candidate.  I open an image and set the camera calibration and the lens correction to auto for Nikon.  I save these settings as new Camera raw defaults, but when I open other images, the changes were not made.  How can I save these items as defaults?
    Swila

Swila, were your "other images" previously edited in Camera Raw? I.e., do they already have saved image settings? The defaults that you save via the flyout menu will only apply to new images, or if you reset an existing image to the defaults. (e.g., choose "Camera Raw Defaults" from the flyout menu).

  • Leica V-Lux 4 camera calibration

When could I expect the profile will be aded to the camera calibration panel ?

The Adobe Standard profile for this camera is already available and almost certainly the one already being used. Check to see the name of the profile set in Camera Calibration panel.
If you're hoping for Camera Standard or any of the other special profiles (e.g. portrai, landscape, etc) then I think you might be in for a long wait. Same applies if your expecting the profile to include the name of canmera vendor or model.

  • How to set Camera Calibration as default??

I've calibrated my D300 with a Macbeth color chart, and got the altered values from the CS3 Calibration Script. I've entered these values in LR Develop Camera Calibration, then used Option->Set Default->Update to Current Settings. I didn't change any other settings, but now when I import images, they render with the previous White Balance, which came from the camera under incandescent lighting. Importing an outdoor image applies the same, now wrong, white balance. This is because I "Updated to current settings", to get the altered Camera Calibration. What am I doing wrong? I'm doing this in LR 2.0, but I assume 1.4.1 would do the same, no?

    Jao -
    Tint +5
    Red -5
    -3
    Green -3
    -15
    Blue +5
    -15
I used the modified script by ACR-Calibrator-L-V28. Prior to this, I got extreme settings so couldn't use them, but this script, along with more precise instructions worked. I shot the color chart in sunny conditions.
Dave - See above - LR2.0 printing with the 3800 works like 1.4.1. Perfect. I can't go back to LR 1.x. 2.0 is addictive. I just ignore the beta warnings. :-)
BTW In LR after changing JUST the Camera Calibration settings, use Option->Set Default to change calibration for just the camera you used on image selected in Develop. From then on, imported images from that camera will get the overridden calibration settings.

  • Unable to set default develop setting to specific camera

    Hi Guys,
I like to change the default develop settings for my camera. It's done in the Develop module in Camera Calibation. While holding the Option key the tight button changes to Set Default...
After pressing the button nothing happens on one of my Mac's on the other it does work. Both settings in the Preference menu called "Make default specific to camera serial number" is cheked on both machines.
Any idea why it is not working on one machine?
Both are OSX 10.9 and Lightroom 5.4
    Thanks!
    Bart

Thanks guys for showing interest in helping.
As you guys can see, there's no adobe reader when u expand. Also, I already browsed the reader just in case too. Thus expanding doesnt help. =(
Also, I cant seem to find the "file type" tab in folder options

The profiles are there, but they only display and are only available for raw images. The image that you are highlighting is either a JPEG or some other non--raw file format. The only profile available for non-raw images is the embedded profile.

  • Set main camera as default on 6220

when i hit the camera icon on the main screen of my 6220, it turns on the little camera on the front, then i have to change to main camera in the settings. is there a way i can get the main camera to become the default camera for that icon on the main screen?
also, is it normal to have a small purpleish haze in the lower part of photos taken at night with the flash? has anyone seen that with their 6220??

It's activating the front camera because your lens cover is closed. The rear camera will not work with the cover closed.
Instead of clicking the camera icon just open your lens cover and it should automatically start the camera application.
Not sure about the purplish haze, have you checked to see if you have the latest firmware?

  • Camera Calibration Profiles

Does anyone know of a plug in for Aperature to calibrate the colour profile of a camera?   I have seen a process used in Lightroom with an xrite ColorPassport and software to create a colour profile to apply across a set of images to correct to a calibrated image set.    Looking for an equivalent process in Aperature.

    Frank Caggiano wrote:
The section after explaining that if you shoot RAW you don't need to do this does explain how to profile a camera.
Yes, though, that explanation is for using that color profile in the camera ... which Aperture is likely to ignore the profile once the image is imported and apply the canned one-size-fits-all profile that Aperture uses in the background.
What the OP is referring to, in Lightroom/ACR you have the ability to apply several canned camera calibration profiles, as well as any user created profiles. Using these profiles can fine-tune color rendition before any other adjustments are applied ... in other words it eliminates the need for processing presets for a more user preferred starting point which allows all sliders to remain at their default points ... as a bonus, profiles can be created to match color across multiple camera bodies including different models ... and even different brands ... once created they can be applied as default upon import based upon camera serial number and/or ISO as desired ...
While I much prefer Aperture ... I do find the ability to create a color rendition starting point of my own choosing quite a nice feature ... if Aperture is to be considered a "professional" app ... Apple should strongly consider adding the feature in the next iteration ... whenever that will be ...

  • Development Module:  Apply Camera Calibration Profile to existing RAWs

Hi - I just found how to change the default settings in Camera Calibration (ALT changes the Reset to Set Default) and from what I can find, any newly imported RAWs will have these defaults applied.  My question is: how do I apply these defaults to images already imported?
Also, what I specifically want to change is the Profile: Adobe Standard to Profile:Camera Landscape (for example) and apply that to all the images I already have shot with this specific camera body.   So, two questions:  Does setting the defaults include the Profile or is it only the "Shadows, Primary Red, Green, Blue" that gets saved as a new default and can these changes only be applied to newly imported RAWs?
    Thanks

Default setting include ALL Develop settings, including the settings in the basic panel, the lens corrections etc. For this reason, you should take a test image, perform a reset first, then apply what you want to be active in your defaults, and set the Default.
Defaults will only be applied to your images (based on Camera Model) while importing or when doing a "Reset".

  • Lightroom 4.3 is applying the wrong Camera Calibration profile Nikon D600

Running Lightroom 4.3 on my Mac, I have my D600 set to shoot using "Camera Neutral" profile. However, upon import into LR, for some reason, it changes to "Adobe Standard" profile. I can change it to camera neutral, but it's a pain. Any other users experiencing this?

The camera settings, other than White-Balance, are ignored by Lightroom since it does its down conversions with its own settings and doesn’t really have any way of duplicating what Nikon does since they are distinct corporations, each with their own intellectual property not shared with outsiders, so it’s best not to even bother with camera settings if you are going to be using Lightroom and learn what the Lightroom settings mean, instead.
As already stated, Adobe doesn’t really know what Nikon means by the in-camera Camera Neutral, but it has reverse-engineered something somewhat analogous that is also called Camera Neutral in the LR’s Camera Calibration section.
If you always want Camera Neutral as your starting point for LR adjustments, then set it as the new default by importing a new image with all the LR-default settings, change the Camera Calibration area’s Profile to Camera Neutral, then Press and Hold the Alt/Option key and click the Set Defaults button.
You can also make a Develop Preset that sets whatever profile you want and apply it to either the selected set of images or to all images in a particular Import.
