Setting GUI elements not displaying and SwingWorkers....

I have a prototype JMS application where a JMS message handler class wraps a GUI application class. Updates are made from the wrapper class to the HMI via a public method on the GUI which then sets the numerous GUI elements. The element values are set but the display is not updated. From what I have read this is a common situation where within the GUI class the updating method should use a SwingWorker to carry out the work and to coordinate the threads. Given that this approach is not working would anyone have any suggestions as to how I can resolve this.

You can use SwingUtilities.invokeLater(...) to update the state of a GUI component.

TX CNS41 - settled cost from internal order to WBS element not displayed

I have a question regarding transaction CNS41 "Structure Overview" where cost settled from an internal order is not displayed in in the report for a selected project. This is in a ECC version 5.0
Settled costs from internal orders are posted with transaction type KOAO on WBS elements and when you check report RCNSTFCO you can see that the following transaction types are deselected when executing transaction CNS41:

But this also eliminate the display of the cost from the internal order.
Any ideas or a work around in order to display settled cost from an internal order on a WBS element in transaction CNS41

Hello Tison.
I guess you have the Project created with a BAPI in your system in background. As far as I have seen I'd try the following in ABAP to create Partners in the Project Definition: BAPI_BUS2001_PARTNER_CREATE_M or the corresponding method ProjectDefinitionPI.PartnerCreateMultiple. This should happen in background when the Project is created also.

Radio Buttons / Check box of Gui Transaction not displaying in WEB UI

HI,
We are using CRM 7.0 / ECC 6.0, i am launching some ECC transaction in WEB UI using transaction launcher, Radio button and Checkbox are displaying properly in Dev CRM system but it is not displaying in Quality system.
I compared both systems, everything is the same. I also checked the ITS URL, we are using transaction IC_LTXE.

We are working on an upgrade project and have used transaction launcher to give SAP GUI transactions in Web UI.
We are facing a similar issue.
We have a report program with several checkboxes. User will select few checkbox and perform further processing.
In development system it is working fine but in quality system if we scroll down or up after clicking on checkbox the page is getting refreshed and check is cleared.
Did you come up with a reasonable solution to this issue?
Do you know any way around this issue?

Best way to set up two thunderbolt displays and thunderbolt ethernet on a Late 2013 MBP with only 2 thunderbolt ports?

I have a late 2013 MBP with only 2 thunderbolt ports. I want to set up two external displays (both have usb ports on the back but not thunderbolt so I can't daisy-chain) but one of my thunderbolt ports is being taken up by the ethernet adapter. Is it possible to convert one of my displays to plug into my open HDMI slot? Or is it better to use the two thunderbolt ports for the two displays and switch the ethernet to the slower usb adapter?

You can use a HDMI to DVI adapter if the display resolution is not greater than 1920 x 1200.

DNS GUI will not display Zone entries

I have an Apple Intel Xserve running 10.5.8
I have added hundreds of entries into our DNS using the GUI
I have just tried to add a new CNAME
Server admin then "stopped responding" - I used force quit to kill off the application
Now when I launch ServerAdmin DNS - I click on the disclosure triangle next to my zone name and nothing is displayed
If I look at /var/named/zones/db.mycompany.co.uk.zone.apple
all the entires are there
I can even see the CNAME entry I added, but this will not respond when using nslookup
although existing entries still do respond as usual
I can see nothing in the logs to indicate why this is occuring
Can anyone give me some ideas as to why this be happening and more importantly how to fix it.
I have to use the GUI because there are colleagues who work on this when i am not here and they are not familiar with the command line.

Make a copy of the zone file and then try editing the original so tabs and carriage returns "looks the same" on the last line as on the last few lines before it. Or just try removing the last line (if the CNAME is there). In the GUI in SA shift between the DNS and some other service to "revive" it (reread the data).

Cost element not display in grr3

Apple Logo would not display and Hardware test problem?

HI all, sorry i am new to posting here, so apologize if my answer to the below is in this forum but i could not find it. What it is:
My mac mini when I started it up today, was not displaying the apple logo, it was just showing its white screen and it just would not move from it. I tried doing an apple hardware test by re-starting holding the button D while re-starting nothing happen. I had to disconnect all external items such as my external HD and ipod and then it became back to normal.
1st question is, why did this happen and how?
2nd question is, how come my apple hardware test does not work?
I have tried apple hardware test using the install disc for a mac pro which has leopard on it, for my mini as i don't have the install for my mini any more. But even then I should still be able to use the apple hardware test without the discs though shouldn't i?
Please note though my HD has been replaced twice before by apple. Can anyone give some input?
Also my mac is an intel based back got its late 2006 model.
I have also run disk utility and it has found nothing wrong at all with my mac.

If AppleCare gives you a Tiger Install Disc for your system, accept it, since it's the way to perform the AHT on your machine (also, it's free!).
About the Leopard disc, I don't know which OS you're running, since you changed your profile info from 10.5.6 to 10.4.10. Are you using Tiger Or Leopard?
If you're running Leopard, you'll need a Retail Leopard Install Disc (the one you can pick up from a store shelf) to do an Archive and Install. Your machine was made in 2006, before the release of Leopard, so there's no Leopard machine specific disc for your model.
Archive and Install is the way to reinstall the Operative System without loosing your files and settings.
Also, if you ever need to repair your startup volume with Disk Utility, you'll need to boot from the install DVD, and you can only do it with the install disc of the OS you're currently running. You can't use a previous version OS install disc, as it could have nasty consequences on the directory structure integrity.
If you want an "el cheapo" Leopard Retail Disc, you can search for it on the web. Also, when Snow Leopard hits the street, some retailers will probably sell out the previous version inventory.

Java option icon not displaying AND Java not working, even after deleting and re-installing Java

Hi, I have uninstalled and re-installed Java. When I look at Add-ons, it shows Java Platform SE7 U17 10.17.2.2 and Java deployment Toolkit 7.0.17… 10.17.2.2 enabled. But it is not working – and I do not see the Firefox plugin to allow occasional use of Java.

I have now unistalled and re-installed Firefox 20.0. restored preferences etc. using MozBackup, and Java Platform and Java Toolkit10.17.2.2. both show as working Add-ons - BUT STILL NO JAVA AND STILL NO RED ICON IN TOOLBAR. What is going on, please ?

I don't understand any of these replies. How do I get Java to run for Pogo.com? I had no problems a week ago. I do not have the red icon. I am not a programer so keep it simple. I am a 59 year old speech therapist.

Favicon will not display and heads different

I have installed a favicon in the template upon which most, if not all of the pages on this site are based. The favicon displays fine on my local machine, but does not in the uploaded pages. I looked at the head of the template and the head of what is uploaded and they are different, despite repeated uploads. The site is on a yahoo server for what ever difference that may make.

I for my part use these advices, one of this code lines you should insert between the <head> </head> tags on your home or index.html page:
<link rel="icon" href="pictures/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon" /> (I use it) Upload the favicon.ico file to your server's root directory.
If you wish to use an animated icon too, upload the animated_favicon1.gif as above and add this code line:
<link rel="icon" href="animated_favicon1.gif" type="image/gif">
... AND! Our browsers must be "convinced" first to show favicon, so it might be that you have to do this too:
- Clear ALL your caches!
- Check with another browser, the new icon will be there (mostly at once).
- If set, delete the bookmark to the page or re-create the bookmark.
- Quit browser
- Empty the Temp Internet Files Internet Options
- Clear History
- Delete everything in general, where the browser remembers visited sites.
- Restart
- Clear Site visit
- Clear Bookmark
After all these steps favicon should work as you like it.

E1200 Wireless Client List will not display and causes web UI to temporarily stop responding

I picked up an E1200 and set it up successfully. I am using wireless MAC filtering, and decided to pull up the list of connected wireless clients (Wireless >> Wireless MAC Filter >> push "Wireless Client List" button).
When I do so, it immediately throws this back:
Immediately after this the Web UI of the E1200 becomes inaccessible. It still routes traffic, and the router remains pingable, but it will not allow access to the Web UI for several minutes. The error that appears upon attempt to access the Web UI during this time window is similar to the above, but reads "Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): The server refused the connection."
I have tried this in Google Chrome, Firefox 4, and MSIE on two separate computers. Each browser displays the error a bit differently (MSIE, for example, just says it can't display the page and gives no further detail) but the net results are always the same. I have tried resetting the device to factory defaults in addition to re-downloading the firmware from the Cisco/Linksys website and installing it. No improvement.
I have also noted that the Log (Administration >> Log; and yes, I have it enabled) doesn't appear to be picking up anything at all. In fact, the Security log, which supposedly (according to the Help) "displays the login information for the Router’s browser-based utility," is also blank.
Is this a bug, or should I head back to the retailer and swap this device?

Ok - I nailed this down, I think, and it looks like a firmware bug.
Short version is that a factory reset cleared the issue, but during stepwise reconfiguration the problem came back. Through a bunch of iteration I figured out that if I have the E1200's DHCP server disabled *and* have wireless clients connected to it, the problem I described appears.
Turn the DHCP server back on and the problem goes away. Turn it off and the problem comes back. Turn it back on and it goes away. You get the idea.
If I had to pose a theory here, it's that the initial display of the Wireless Client List, which uses "IP Address" as the default sort, somehow implodes if the E1200 isn't actually assigning those IP addresses to the clients.
When this happens it appears to crash the Web UI wholesale. Just for grins, while the Web UI was unresponsive, I pinged the router it as before - still pingable - then ran nmap against it - no open ports found on the router. When the Web UI is functional, though, nmap detects port 80 quite easily. I have not timed how long it takes for the Web UI to come back up, but it is longer than 5 minutes, and I presume some sort of watchdog process has to detect that it has gone kaput and start it up again.
Final test was to restore my saved configuration from before the factory reset (note that the saved config was done under the same firmware version, and in this config, the DHCP server is disabled). Boom, problem. Wait for the Web UI to come back, turn on the DHCP server. Problem goes away. Turn the DHCP server off. Boom, problem comes back.
So, there you go.
Would be interesting if someone could verify this via a test against another E1200. It may be worth noting that in my baseline test I was also using Manual wireless setup (vs. Wi-Fi Protected Setup), and WPA2. Didn't make any other setting changes from the factory defaults. I did not actually have to turn the Wireless MAC Filter on to do the test. All one needs to do is click Enable on the Wireless MAC Filter tab, and then do *not* click Save Settings - just clicking Enable will light up the Wireless Client List button, which you can then push to get the list. That is how I handled testing to ensure that neither specific entries, nor the Prevent/Permit setting, nor having the filter enabled in saved configuration were involved in the problem.
Separately, no explanation for the lack of entries in the security log, but that pretty much looks like a firmware bug to me as well.

CS4 GUI does not display correctly

I'm using the trial version of Dreamweaver CS4 on a Thinkpad
T60 with XP Pro SP3. My monitor is 1280 x 1024 and the fonts size
is set to Large (which may be the source of this problem.)
When I am using Dreamweaver, the window at the bottom of the
screen, the one with a tab labeled Properties, does no fully
display. The second line of data entry boxes, the ones labeled ID
and Link are partially cut off. There does not seem to be any way
to increase the size of that window and I also don't know if there
are more than 2 lines.
Is this a font size issue? is there any fix, other than using
normal size fonts?

Adobe applications unfortunately do not adhere to OS UI
standards.

Siri window does not display and app was destroyed with latest 6.1 update

This happened right after the last update to 6.1. Press the button and hold it. You get a beep but no SIRI window. Otherwise it will do as you tell it to.
There are numerous other bugs. Go into Purchased apps. Cannot select an app on the second row left, second one down from the top. eith the one above it displays or the one below it.
The update also destroyed an expense tracking app, Pocket expense which had a substantial amount of data in it. Press on the app icon and it flasehes and does not run.

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off"
If neither of these work you may have to restore your ipad via iTunes on your computer.
