Shell function doesn't open audigy creative mixe

Can anybody explain why the visual basic 'shell' command doesn't appear to open up the 'creative mixer 'window although it works perfectly with 'Creative Recorder' - I have found no reference to this in any vb forum so far. Any help would be appreciated.

Below VBScript opens the Surround Mixer panel. Maybe you get some ideas from that code.

Just got a set of 5500's and the Creative Mixer says that i only have 2/5. speakers hooked up(notes that the wiring is wrong at the end of a diagnostics), but when i try "Test" on my Logitech remote, all speakers are receiving sound. have all updated drivers on all my comp components. even when i had my old 2. system, it said that i had wiring problems.Message Edited by Shogunx5 on 2-02-200602:3 PM

The Line-In is dead, and I suppose it's because this source doesn't appear in the mixer.
Because of this, I'm cannot enable the soucre. And then I get no soud.
If I choose "SB Audigy 2 AZS Audio" as default for recording, I'm missing the option to choose Line-In in standard Windows mixer. (The slider isn't there.)If I choose "C-Media Wava Device" as default for recording, I can choose Line-In in standard Windows mixer, but I don't get any signal.
I have installed the last drivers.

Can you run the Creative diagnostic tool without errors?
If you do not find next programs mentioned, you have to install them
(Creative CD bundled with cadr).
Have you AudioHQ on System Control Panel.
- Is speakers set to be muted when using headphones. Uncheck this.
- options : is SB Audigy xxxxx selectedt as sound device?
Control Panel:Sounds & Multimedia
- Audio : is Sound Play Back devic selected to be SB Audigy xxxx
- is all behind Volume (button) set not muted
Check if mic and midi settings are like you want.
- is all behind Advanced (button) set like it shoul be

- is do not map through this device selected
Creative Surround Mixer
Speaker settings
- set same settings as above (and select syncronization with control panel)
- unselect digital output only
Rec settings (red portion with slider)
- select AnalogMixer as source
- check if record without monitoring is not checked
- disable unneeded inputs (mic, aux, ...) - wave, volume, linein should be ON
- set input and recording levels
EAX -panel
- switch off all effects if you do not need them

PDF-Portfolio: link doesn't open a document in a new window

Hello,
i use Acrobat 9 Pro on Win XP SP3.
I will use a link from a maindocument into a PDF-portfolio to another Portfolio document in the same file.
But the (linked) document should be open in a new window.
I can customize the option: targetdocument open in a new window, but this option/function doesn't work.
The document will always open in the same portfolio-window.
(Create link with link tool>add action>go to a page view in another doc> set link> edit action> open targetdocument in: a new window)
sorry, for the description, but i have only the german GUI.
Is there a change to use a JavaScript in the link?

When I open my creative cloud on my desktop and open apps nothing pops up except a loading symbol and it stays like that. What is going on?

I have downloaded creative cloud but when I open up the apps its a blank page and it has the spinning loading symbol but I've left that up for hours and it stays like that. It doesn't show the applications at all, even when I download them from adobe.com. What is it?

In Lion the Library folder is now invisible. Just launch the application, find and select the domain file you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.

FF doesn't open a new window , and doesn't open at all when I close it and try to open it again.

Initially when I start my PC Windows 7 Ultimate , FF opens fine , but it doesn't open a new window when I click on the option "Open a new Window " in the taskbar .When I right-click a tab and select the option "Move to a new Window" then too it doesn't work. Next when I close FF and and try to reopen it , it doesn't open at all.I have FF v34.0.5.

Gnome-shell issue. You can disable desktop management as a temporary fix, but the next gnome-shell update will fix the problem.

I'm on Firefox 3.6.21, and I got this problem today after a Greasemonkey update (To version 0.9.10, apparently).
Disabling Greasemonkey solved the problem, and re-enabling it reproduced the problem (middle-clicking links to open in new tab did not work, merely highlighted the link).
I should also note that while Greasemonkey was enabled and the bug was affecting me, Ctrl+Click to open links in new tabs was also broken.

EDIT: It appears this is a known incompatibility/conflict bug between current versions of Greasemonkey and Tab Mix Plus. Read more here:

EDIT 2: GREASEMONKEY HAS NOW BEEN UPDATED with a workaround to fix the problem. Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/greasemonkey/versions/ to install the update manually. Thanks for your help Karen Serena. Obviously, it appears in the list of printers and scaners on the left, into the "Print and Scan" with system preferencies. Then i click it , it appears on the right, then i click "open scanner" below the name and opens a window writing "open device failed". When i connect the scanner, it makes a sound but that's all...the scanner is dead, even if I push any button...Also there isn't any window opened to prove the function of the scanner, only is shown in the scanner list, that's all.

"Edit in Photoshop CC" launches Photoshop, but doesn't open the image.

I'm working on a Mac with Lightroom 5 and Photoshop CC. When I select "Edit in Photoshop CC" from Lightroom, Photoshop launches, but the image doesn't open up. What is going on? This is a new problem since loading Lightroom 5 & Photoshop CC - it worked normally on my machine with previous versions.

I've been dealing with this problem for almost a month now and still no solution. Here's what I've tried:
- Installed PS 2014 with pre-existing PS CC and LR 5.5 with pre-existing LR 5.4. Then...
- Uninstalled LR 5.5 and PS 2014, reinstalled PS2014 first, LR second. Didn't work.
- Did the opposite - reinstalled LR5.5 first, PS2014 second. Didn't work.
- Removed PS CC and LR 5.4, reinstalled LR 5.5 and PS 2014 (in both orders). Didn't work.
- Removed everything Adobe from the computer:
   - Creative Cloud, PS CC, PS 2014, LR 5.4 and 5.5
   - Deleted everything I could find relating to PS CC, PS 2014, LR 5.4 and 5.5.
   - Ran AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe to remove all traces.
   - Reinstalled Creative Cloud, PS 2014 and LR 5.5. Didn't work.
   - Uninstalled PS 2014 and LR 5.5, reinstalled in reverse order. Didn't work.
One clue to the problem I stumbled across by accident leads me to believe the problem is something to do with ACRaw. If I try to open a JPG in LR 5.5 it opens fine in PS 2014. However if I try to open a RAW file (Nikon's NEF format) I get the "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop CC 2014 could not be launched" message.
This is driving me buggy. Without the ability to go back and forth between LR and PS, the whole workflow is ruined.
Any new thoughts?

LR CC downloaded but doesn't open

I downloaded the new LR CC from my Creative Cloud desktop application and when I click on the LR icon it doesn't open. Nothing happens. No error message. I am running Windows 7.

Log out of CC, then back in. Lightroom CC with work. It's dumb.

I had the same problem (Lightroom CC doesn't appear to run on Widnows) and your solution worked for me. Note that it isn't enough to just close and restart Creative Cloud. This is what I did:
Open Creative Cloud
Open Preferences and hit Sign Out
Sign back in again...
Now start Lightroom CC. This brought up a dialog labelled Photoshop CC saying that it needed to be signed in. When I dismissed it Lightroom then started up.
Something else I noticed that may help diagnose this issue is that the file amt.log contained the line:
04/21/15 23:09:07:623 | [INFO] | | | | AMT | | | 8804 | Application licensing status has changed to unlicensed.
