Shipping date in SCM for manual ASN

Hi Team,
We are creating Manual ASN and transporting to SCM through IDOC. We have two scenario's 1) With reference(SA)  2) Without reference.
For with reference we are getting shipping date in SCM based on Scheduling, but for ASN without reference we are not getting shipping date in SCM.
Delivery type - HID - Inbound delivery HU mvmt
Can you please let me know why shipping date not getting filled in SCM.
  Thanks,
Venkadesh

Hi  Claire Yang,
Thanks for your response.
I forget to update the issue status, it's resolved.
The reason was that, one of a BAPI date parameter(WADAT) got cleared in one enhancement.
I made the changes so now its working properly.
Seems this is not going to helpful for others, so i will delete this thread.
  Thanks,
Venkadesh

  • Set autoinvoice gl_date = sales order ship date

I have sales orders with both shippables and non-shippables. The sales order uses header level invoicing so that the shippable and non-shippables are interfaced to AR at the same time. We use the default grouping rules which groups first on ship date and then on sales order date. Since the non-shippables lack a ship date, the gl_date for the invoice of the sales order is coming through with the sales order date.
We're using the invoicing rule Advance Invoice and the accounting rule immediate. We are deriving the gl_date.
Has anyone had any luck getting invoices to use the ship date of the sales order when both shippables and non-shippables are interfaced together?
It's been suggested that we could use a rule start date on the acccounting rule, but we are uncertain how this would work.

    Hi,
When you open a sales order, the docdate will be today's date and the delivery date is empty. the cardcode, item code, etc are also empty.
    Use this following query FMS:
    select $[ordr.docdate]
save it by using query generator and assigning the FMS into delivery date by pressing shiftaltF2 and define formatted search window will appears. Select search by saved query, input the query above, check auto refresh when field changes, select customer/vendor code, select display saved value (it is used to avoid updating the document every time you open it) and finally update the define FMS window.
when you open the sales order document, it will still be empty, after you input the cardcode, the delivery date will be input automatically  and as same as posting date. if it is today, then the dates (for both) will be today.

Populate a variable - "ZFYPRD" based on users input - "ZCRD."
Please provide me if function module exist / how to code a new FM and code to populate the value on variable ZYPRD.
    For Instance:
    if user's input is "ZCRD = 05/30/08".
Populate the value in the variable (custom) "zfyprd" = 005/2008.
How would I code in ABAP If this is the condition.

    Hi Ramesh,
Thank you for the response.  Your input is valuable.  For this requirement its a BPS Planning Layout.
Do I need a function module to work this code?  The (key date) customer requested ship date (variable) is an input from users through planning area.  If function module requires please give me the code for the function module.
Users enter = customer requested ship date.
Variable for this fiscal yr/period should populate/ convert it to the period.
I used the function module convert it to period.  But which function module is to use to connect it to the variable for customer requested ship date in bps?
I created a variable (customer exit) for period in the query.  I referred the code given in the document to convert it to period from key date.  But while testing the variable customer requested ship date is coming as initial.  what is it that I am missing here?  Please help

  • Auto updation of Shipping Date on ASN Save / Publish

    Hi All,
In the ASN Scenario, on saving / publishing the ASN the  manually entered shipping date in ASN Header gets overwritten with a system calculated date (In my case it is same as Delivery Date). We want the supplier to enter both the Shipping Date & Delivery Date manually while creating the ASN. What needs to be done for the same?
I think the auto updation of shipping date is due to automatic scheduling. How to disable this? Is it a validation check or a Config element?
    Regards,
    Bharath

    Pravin,
Check if these Validation Checks can resolve your issue:
    1. DLV_NO_DATETIMES
    2. DLV_ARRIVAL_IN_PAST
    3. DLV_WITH_ARRIVAL_DATE_EXISTS

    Hi,
    Shipping point is determined by <b>"shipping conditions"</b> + <b>"loading group"</b> + "<b>plant"</b>.
<b>Shipping conditions</b> are fetched from customer master / or if maintained in the sales doument type they are fetched from there.
<b>Loading group</b> fetched from material master.
<b>Plant</b> fetched from CMIR / CMR / MMR.
You do the shipping point determination using the transaction code <b>"OVL2"</b> If <b>SC or LG or PLANT</b> are deviating from the entries in the customer or material master then also you will not get the shipping point.

  • Use of Vendor and Customer in 'Define Shipping Data for Storage Location"

Under the stock transfer order configuration, there is a IMG step <b>"Define Shipping Data for Storage Location".</b>
In this at storage location level, we can assign, sales org/distribution channel, division and VENDOR and CUSTOMER to storage location.
The customer number is used a sold-to-party in outbound deliveries.
<b>But I am not able to figure out what's the use of VENDOR number we are specifying in this step.</b>
If I am assiging the VENDOR Number here to every storage location, then when I am creating cross-company code Stock transport order, which vendor code I will select the one assigned to PLANT or one Assigned to Storage location.
<b>Also I need to know what vendor account group I will use for creating this storage location vendor.</b>  I have more than one storage locations) under one plant. Soif I used account group as "0007" plant, SAP doesn't allow me to assigne one plant code to 2 vendors and in vendor master on 'additional purchasing data' screen I am not seeing storage location field, it has only 'PLANT' field.
    <b>So I need to know-
    1. Which account group to use for creating storage location vendor
    2. What's the ultimaye use of this vendor code
    3. What vendor # I will use while creating cross-company PO (one for plant or one for storage location.</b>
    Thanks

    Hi,
    Define Shipping Data
Here in this step you maintain the customer number of the receiving plant. This customer number is used in SD shipping processing to identify the goods recipient (ship-to party) if stock transfer to be carried out with an SD delivery
A goods receipt can be planned in the receiving plant.
You can enter a vendor (transport vendor) in the stock transport order
In IMG step "Define Shipping Data for Storage Location".
You can assign sales org/distribution channel, division and VENDOR and CUSTOMER to storage location through Plant only.Means this Vendor is created for entering in the STO .This vendor is created for the the Plant (Supplying Plant)so as u can create STO.

  • Error: "Not possible to determine shipping data for material" in STO

    Gurus,
I have maintained the shipping point determination properly, still I get above error while creating ME21N.
What could be the possible reason?
    Regards
    Trupti

    Hi,
On top of the Shipping Determination configuration done, pls check the following: -
    1. Go to path IMG --> MM --> Purchasing --> Purchase Order --> Set up Stock Transport Order --> Define Shipping Data for Plant --> Assign a Customer no.-Plant for the respective Plant. This number is created in Sales Customer Master.
    2. Go to path IMG --> MM --> Purchasing --> Purchase Order --> Set up Stock Transport Order --> Assign Delivery Type and Checking Rule --> Make sure your PO Type is assigned to relevant Delivery Type.
    This should fix the problem.
    Thanks.
    Rgds.

  • Not possible to determine shipping data for material  in PO(STO)

    I
m doing STO for intra copmany code(plant to plant stock transfer),I have done all STO setting ,maintain material with plant and storage condition, loading groups , maintain customer with storage condition, created vendor with supplying plant.setting is done for supplying plant and receiving plant .
Supplying and receiving plant combination with document type UB.delivery type NL and checking rule RP.Also maintain sales area for both plant.
But when I m creating PO in ME21N below error is showing..
*Not possible to determine shipping data for material ,kindly suggest if I have missed any setting...
    Regards,
    Vipin

    Hi Sharan,
    Thanks for your reply.
problem got solved but in different way ,STO setting was wrong.
I didn't maintain delivery document type(NL) on plant level  It was maintain at storage location that's why system couldn't determine shipping info for material.
    Please check the setting below.
IMG> MM>Purchasing>Purchase order>STO>STO between storage location>set up storage location -dependent shipping point determination>define rule for determination of sipping point>
here we have to set delivery document type(NL) to plant specific shipping point determination.

  • Define shipping data for plants / multiple sales areas should be assigned f

    Dear All ,
Appreciate of you helped me in this:
I am trying to configure the intercompany STO process, when I reached the step of u201CDefine shipping data for plants u201C I found that the issuing plant is already assigned  to sales Area ( 2000 , 60 , 10 ) which represent local sales , but I need to assign the sales area ( 2001 , 60 , 10 ) which represent foreign sales.
Both sales areas should be used because we are doing STOs with a local company here in jordan and another one in Algeria , so Is there any way to have both sales areas assigned for the same issuing plant?
    Thanks ,
    Malik

    Hi Malik,
I am afraid this is impossible in SAP standard. For this purpose you have the BAdI ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST. The method PROCESS_ITEM of this BAdI gets one single parameter, IM_ITEM, which is the pointer to the PO item object. This object has a lot of useful methods, among them:
    - GET_SHIPPING_DATA gives you the Shipping tab of the PO item derived by SAP, among them the ship-to number
    - SET_SHIPPING_DATA allows you to amend the data on the Shipping tab
Let your ABAPer implement the BAdI and program its method PROCESS_ITEM.

  • Define Shipping Data for Stock Transfers Between Storage Locations

    Hi Guru,
Can i know what is the purpose to maintain Customer, SHipping data for each storage location for the STO between storage location?
    Purchasing --> Purchase Order -->
    Set up Stock Transport Order-->
Set Up Stock Transfer Between Storage Locations-->
Define Shipping Data for Stock Transfers Between Storage Locations

The Sales org, Distribution channel, Shipping point, Vendor and Customer are maintained to created the delivery.
It is for the transfer of stock between storage locations with any movement type.
Eg: When you do a 311 movement type from Sloc A to Sloc B, then it will create a inbound delivery with the Vendor specified for Sloc A and an outbound delivery from Sloc B with the Customer specified assuming the customer and the vendor as the Plant.
You have to create a internal Vendor and Customer.
    Hope it helps.

  • Two or more productid will be accquired by same customerid, by same shipvia, on the same day of the week of shipped date. i want the simple query for this.

    consider this situation,
Two or more productid will be accquired by same customerid, by same shipvia, on the same  day of the week of shipped date. i want the simple query for this.
    my tables are  from northwind:
[orders] = OrderID, CustomerID, EmployeeID, OrderDate, RequiredDate, ShippedDate, ShipVia, Freight, ShipName, ShipAddress, ShipCity, ShipRegion, ShipPostalCode, ShipCountry.
[orders details] = OrderID, ProductID, UnitPrice, Quantity, Discount.
i tried some but it is not exact, it gives wrong result.
    select pd.CustomerID,pd.ProductID, pd.no_of_time_purchased, sd.ShipVia, sd.same_ship_count, shipped_day from
    select ProductID,o.CustomerID,COUNT(productid) as no_of_time_purchased
from orders o join [Order Details] od on o.OrderID=od.OrderID group by ProductID,o.CustomerID
    having count(od.ProductID) >1) pd
    join
    (select OrderID,customerid, shipvia, count(shipvia)as same_ship_count, DATENAME(DW,ShippedDate)as shipped_day from orders
group by customerid, ShipVia, ShippedDate having COUNT(ShipVia) > 1 ) sd
    on sd.CustomerID=pd.CustomerID

    Hi,
I think I have a solution that will at least give you a clue how to go about it. I have simplified the tables you mentioned and created them as temporary tables on my side, with some fake data to test with. I have incldued the generation of these temporary
    tables for your review.
In my example I have included:
    1. A customer which has purchased the same product on the same day, using the same ship 3 times,
    2. Another example the same as the first but the third purchase was on a different day
    3. Another example the same as the first but the third purchase was a different product
    4. Another example the same as the first but the third purchase was using a different "ShipVia".
You should be able to see that by grouping on all of the columns that you wich to return, you should not need to perform any subselects.
Please let me know if I have missed any requirements.
    Hope this helps:
