Show icons in Forms 9i

I have the gifs put in the same folder with the .fmx (folder that is found in the forms90_path ebtry in registry), still the pictures don't show on the iconic buttons at runtime.
How can I fix this?

Look at the forms90/java/oracle/forms/registry/registry.dat file for how to specifiy the location of icons.

Hi,
You can always change you Window title at runtime.
On Windows, You ALWAYS have a container window (There is an option from 5.0 onwards to avoid this container window) and at least one window in you applciation e.g. window0.
Use the following command to change the title of the MDI window:
set_window_property (FORMS_MDI_WINDOW,title,'My Application');
For window0, try this:
set_window_property ('WINDOW0',title,'Registration of Employee');
Please see all the options available in the online help of forms under SET_WINDOW_PROPERTY.

Cannot show icon images

I just try to upgrade my 6i application to 10g web base. I sucess to run my application on browser. However, I cannot show icons image. I have followed the doc "Forms9iAS Forms Services How to deploy Icons", but still failed.
Is there any doc teach me how to deploy icons in Forms Services 10g? (not 9i)
or any hints can tell me?

Hello,
1) if you choose to have icons as gif, use the following in a batch file:
rem====
jar cvfm iconeweb.jar *.gif --- name the file: jar_icons.bat
rem=====
put the icons images in a directory together with jar_icons.bat
2) run jar_icons.bat
you should see a new file in the directory: iconeweb.jar
copy that jar file in the directory /forms/java of your developer install directory.
3) open the formsweb.cfg which you can find in /forms/server in the directory where you installed developer 10g
Look for the line that has: archive_jini
Add the following: at the end of this line: ,iconeweb.jar
save formsweb.cfg
if you are running your app from a named config, you should also make the change to that section too.
4) restart your browser that the new jar is downloaded.
5) open your java console: it is the small coffee icon you see in the systray. In it, you see a line with iconeweb, If you don't see it, it means the jar file is not found. Then, you should make sure that the forms/java path is indeed in the forms_path registry key .

Where to put the GIF/JPG files so they show up in Forms Developer

This refers to Forms 10gR2; Forms Builder running on Windows XP......
Where do I put the GIF and JPG files referenced by the "iconic filename" property so that they show up in Forms Builder? By placing them in the jar file, I can get them to appear at runtime, but NOT in development!
I have tried putting the files in the same directory as the FMB, as well as in C:\DevSuiteHome_10g\forms\java (where the image jar file resides).
In each case, I have included the path in the FORMS_PATH environment variables.

Hi,
For design time, you need to use the UI_ICON and UI_ICON_EXTENSION environment variables. Set them in the registry.
UI_ICON=location where you have the image files.
UI_ICON_EXTENSION=Extension of your image files (ICO / GIF / JPG)

Display or Show Icon for WebUI

Hi everybody,
I'm looking for a dislay or show icon in the CRM WebUI. Something like glasses or a magnifier.
Does anyone know where I can find them and how to call them?
I already checked on class cl_thtmbl_util and the "old" SAP icon link, but they won't work in our view.

We added a OneClickAction in the enhancement of a table view (
Normally the OCA have following coding
CLEAR ls_one_click_action.
ls_one_click_action-id      = 'DELETE'.
ls_one_click_action-icon    = 'delete.gif'.
ls_one_click_action-text    = ''.
ls_one_click_action-tooltip = text-301.
ls_one_click_action-active = 'X'.
APPEND ls_one_click_action TO rt_actions.
We want a show or display button.
So we tried as icon 'show.gif' and 'display.gif' both returns an empty gif.
Then we tried to implement it viw the util-classthe following way:
CLEAR ls_one_click_action.
ls_one_click_action-id      = 'VIEW'.
ls_one_click_action-icon    = CL_THTMLB_UTIL=>GC_ICON_FILE_IMAGE.
ls_one_click_action-text    = ''.
ls_one_click_action-tooltip = text-303.
ls_one_click_action-active = 'X'.
APPEND ls_one_click_action TO rt_actions.
But the gif ist still not dispalyed.
Further there seams to be no gif within the attributes of cl_thtmlb_util that looks like a show or display icon we know form the SAP Gui.

A few things to try:
1-Repair permissions and restart your computer.
2-Zap the PRAM
3-Use Software Update/App Store to update your OS to OS 10.10.3. Also, update everything SU/AS has to offer for your computer. When done, repair permissions and restart your computer.

This is simple.
1. put your icons (.gif) in forms90\java folder
2. change the formsweb.cfg file
(it is imagebase=documentbase)
chnage that imagebase=codebase
3. create an iconic button. icon filename should be exact as the name of the icon. (case sensitive). (i.e. if the icon name is EXIT.gif, the icon file name also should be EXIT.gif)
You will see the icons at the runtime. Hope that helps. if it does not help, i can send you a form displaying icons and the corresponding formsweb.cfg file. Happy coding!!

So how do I REALLY get the toolbar buttons to just show icons (and not text)?

On my Bookmarks toolbar, my bookmarks "buttons" show icon AND text. I just want to show icon, not text. When I go right-click.....customize, the window "customize toolbars" opens. Down in the bottom left corner the "show" option dropdown is already set to "icons" (and only icons). But it's just not so. The toolbar buttons show icons AND text. If I cycle through that dropdown just for kicks, it doesn't change; I can choose "icons (only)" all day long, but the toolbar buttons still show text.

Either of the following Add-ons allow you to show icons only and/or to have multiple rows on the Bookmarks Toolbar. Set the options on either after installation.

I need to show an Adobe Form (building in R3), in the role of Employee Self-Service of SAP EP. I read that this is possible building an Scenario, but i don´t have very clear the steps.
This are te steps that i made:
1) I create a scenario with de ISR Wizard, and i tested it and works ok.
2) I made an iview of the Web Dynpro Application sap.com/pcui_gp~isr with de application parameters
SCENARIO=ZZZZ&MODE=DISPLAY&sap.wdarfc.useSys=WD_EMPLOYEE_MODELDATA_DEST:PL7&sap.wdarfc.useSys=WD_EMPLOYEE_RFC_METADATA_DEST:PL7
3) I made a Delta Link of this Iview to the role of ESS.
I test, and i don´t show anything.
Is there something bad ?

The same code is working in different project while its not working on my application. I doubt whether its an issue with adf library or web.xml entry.
I am able to see graph but not icons. Can someone help me in this, and please tell me what adf libraries are requried for dvt:alert which is different from dvt:lineGraph

Very strange!
It should be safe to remove the file. As for the icons being gone, click on Finder in your dock, then go to the "Finder" menu, right next to the  in your menubar. Select "Preferences..." In the window that appears, make sure the boxes are checked that refer to the icons that should show on your desktop.
If that doesn't fix it, try creating a new user account on your Mac.

Log into that account and see if icons show up on your desktop. If so, there might be a problem with the preferences and settings files in your original user account.

You can access the database from your Java portlet, just like from any other Java/JSP environment. Yes, you can use JDBC, as well as BC4J.
The Discussion Forum portlet was built using BC4J, take a look at it's source to see how it was done.
Also, check out Re: BC4J Java portlet anyone?, it contains a lot of useful information too.

Apple TV 3: TV Shows icon missing

Hello, as I was looking at the home screen of my Apple TV 3 (with latest software, 5.1.1 (5433)) the TV Shows icon disappeared. This happened just a few moments ago.
I now only have Movies, Music, Computers and Settings on the top row of icons.
I live in the UK and I am using an iTunes UK account.
I have tried restarting the Apple TV, and signing out and back in to my iTunes account but neither action has fixed the problem.
Any suggestions?

Is it possible any of you rented a movie within the last 48 hours?
I rented a movie for the first time ever yesterday then an hour or 2 ago when I went into movies it only showed that rental.
I rebooted then it showed the rest of my movies but still no TV shows.
Wonder if the rental I did has anything to do with the issue at the moment.
