SLD Error exporting technical system
Hi,
While trying to transport our first XI scenario for go-live, we have a error while trying to export a third-party technical system.
The idea is to import the third party development technical/business system in the production SLD as well to setup a transport target for third party production technical/business system that was created directly in the production sld.
We I click export, I do get a page with a link but this link does nothing and there is line with a red exclamation mark.
The sld log shows
#14599166 09/12/2006 14:25:03.402 [SAPEngine_Application_Thread[impl:3]_56] ERROR com.sap.sld.wd.technicalsystem.ExportView: null

This sounds like a sap problem
Any suggestion for a workaround ?

Dirk
Hi ...
at first U create a technical system in the development system..and that technical system belongs to development system....
and after u tranport this stuff to the production system...the technical system differs...i.e.u should change the technical system according to ur production system....
Cheers,
Raghavesh

User has no permissions / error exporting technical system SLD
Hello everybody,
after not using the export function more than one year, i now wanted to export a technical system from the sld of our XI system (WebAS 7.00 Servicepack 14.4). When I try to export the system I get the following message:
User has no permissions. Cannot connect (check stacktrace for details), (service=com.sap.tms)
Does anyone have the same problems? I have all the group and roles:
SAP_SLD_GUEST-> LcrUser
SAP_SLD_DEVELOPER -> LcrInstanceWriterNR
SAP_SLD_CONFIGURATOR-> LcrInstanceWriterLD and LcrInstanceWriterNR
SAP_SLD_ORGANIZER ->LcrInstanceWriterAll
SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR ->LcrAdministrator
SAP_SLD_DATA_SUPPLIER ->DataSupplierLD
SAP_SLD_SUPPORT ->LcrSupport
Any ideas?
Regards
MichaelHii
You need the authorization for login in SLD as admin for technical system export - SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR
Follow this link for compete details:

Hi SDN,
I have a problem when i try to export the technical systems to QA enviroment , the download link is not working and the screen show an red icon without message error , somebody knows what's happening??, i'm using PI 7.0 nw04's
regardsHi,
most often technical systems are created per landscape
via transaction
have a look at my weblog:
/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/03/10/registering-a-new-technical-system-in-sld--abap-based
so you don't have to transport them

Vijay RahejaHI Michal Krawczyk,
Thanks for your response. i am working on XI 7.0 and when i go to SLD-> Adminitsrtion-> SLD Data Supplier. There i tried to add SLD CLient.
It is asking me for :
-URL of target SLD system, e.g. http://host:port/
-User
-Password.
What should i give here. WHat will be port for R/3 system to which i want to connect.
Just to add: I have already created Technical system for R/3(CLient 600). I added this through SLD only. But now it is giving error for Technical SYstem for same R/3(Clinet 812).
Thanks,

When iam trying to create a new technical system in sld after selecting the product i got this error. Please help me on this iam new to Portal SLD.

As per the error - the technical system already exists in the SLD. You could check in the list of existing technical systems if system STV already exists. If you want, use the same entry or else delete it first and try registering the system.
Also, why are you recreating the system manually now? Was there a restore, system copy or any other activity?
Manually creating the is not recommended. Auto register the system to SLD via RZ70 for ABAP or SLD Data supplier in Visual Admin for Java systems.

SLD Datasupplier - Technical System Sychronization
I understand that SLD 7.0 and 7.1 employ "automatic forwarding" that updates all data supplier targets with new system information. But, is there a nightly synchronization job between the master and slave SLDs that synchronizes technical systems between master and slave?
In our scenario, we supplied the wrong SLD user in the slave SLD which we assume is the reason why technical system synchronization from Master to Slave did not occur. Now, we need this information in the slave SLD but are unsure if a synch job will run nightly, daily, weekly, etc.Hi
In 7.0 you can either use export/import to sync the content - if you use export line "LD" only the technical system data will be exported/imported, but you can also use export line ALL to export/import all SLD content (Content Repository, Landscape data, Namespaces and manuel entered data).
However the "automatic forwarding" will eventually update your target with ALL systems that functions as SLD datasuppliers, but yo have to wait until all data-suppliers has run.

Export of Technical System - Third Party?!
Hi,
i want to export technical system in SLD - Dev to SLD - Prod via download the zip file.
This option seems to be not possible for Third Party Systems. All other systems i can export!
Can anybody confirm this and tell me the reason?!
What else do i have to follow up while exporting Development Content from XI Dev to XI Prod?!
br CarstenI am having the same problem.... Did some checking...

Subset: systemlandscape description
Class Third Party Systems
It says:
Describes a third-party system managed by the SAP Solution manager. In contrast to the superclass SAP_ApplicationSystem, these third-party systems are not registered or entered in the SLD directly, but written by the SAP Solution Manager.
It looks like you cannot export this definition?????
When you recreate your system type to standalone it works....our did you find another solution? -
SLD - Technical System Wizard - Select System: Only None (Standalone J2EE)
Hi, I want to connect to some RFC-Modules on a SAP/R3 System from my NetWeaver Web DynPro Application. Therefore I have to create JCO-Connections for the Models I created (MODELDATA_DEST and RFC_METADATA_DEST). For this I have to define the System I want these JCO-Connections to connect to in my SLD which I'm trying to do using the "Technical System Wizard". (SLD -> Technical Landscape -> New Technical System -> Web AS Java (because I'm developing a Java Application).
In the next screen I have to specifiy the location of my Server. I thought, that here, I have to define my SAP/R3 Server to which the JCO-Connections for my two models shall be connected. But the only option I can choose for "Web AS ABAP" (The ABAP System where my RFC-Modules are stored I guess) is "None (Standalone J2EE)".
Why is that? Or am I missing something? I thought I have to specify the SAP/R3 System containing the RFC-Modules here and not my local NetWeaver Server.
Thanks for your help
ThomasHi,
there seems to be a misunderstanding here. For JCO to work you need to set up the ABAP-System as a technical system in SLD, otherwise the Java-System is not able to determine information like Hostname and Portnumber for the RFC. Of course it's good to set up your WAS-Java in SLD as a technical system as well, but for the JCO the ABAP side is more important as far as I can see.
To have a clean start I suggest that you set up all involved technical systems in your SLD.

SLD - Technical System general settings not all filled..is this a problem?
Hi all,
I don't really have any experience with the configuration of SAP PI, I just do some maintenance and small adjustments from time to time.
I noticed in the SLD in the Technical System settings of the AS JAVA that the following fields were not filled in the general tab:
I'm a bit worried since these fields are filled on our test environment, on our production environment they are not...
Installation Number: *** not yet assigned ***
System Number: *** not yet assigned ***
I can't just add this info, it seem I have to make remove the existing one and create a new entry.
Everything seems to be working fine so I'm a bit reluctant to try and chance this if it's not necessary.
So my question is, could it cause a poblem further on if these fields are not filled?
If so, can I fill these fields without removed the existing entry and creating a new one?
Thanks for any feedback provided.
Cheers,
BenjaminHi Michal,
thanks for your reply.
Would this be done via the SLD Data Supplier Configuration: SLD Data Supplier in the NWA ?
I don't have access to this in our production environment right now so I can't try.
If so, I'll try it later with a system admin.

TREX as an Technical System in the SLD
Via the sldreg my TREX instance is entering it's information into the SLD. But now I have to add my TREX instance to a technical system in the SLD.
Normally an ABAP or a Java system registers itself into the SLD with a technical system, but TREX doesn't do this
How do I add my TREX instance to a technical system in the SLD?may be you can check whether the sld data supplier is updating the data or not

No link between business system and technical system.
hi all....
SLD on the Integration tab of the business system, there appears to be no link to the technical system assigned to that business system. But if you go to the technical system, you do see the correct business system.

KRUSHIHi KRUSHI,
If you are using an SLD of Version 700 with Support Package Level 12, it is a display bug of SAP XI. Import patch 01 of the software component LIFECYCLE MGMT TOOLS 7.00 with Support Package Level 12, it will be solved.
For detail, please refer to Note 1068841 - SLD: Error in business system user interface.

Solman 7.1 LVSM Product system has no technical system assigned
Hi All,
As reference of blog #sapadmin:: How to assign Product System in SOLMAN 7.1 & How LMDB, SLD, SMSY and Landscape Verification work in SOLMAN7.1SAPNetworkWeblogs%2528SAPNetworkWeblogs%2529
I have created product instance from LSVM and now I have problem to add "product system" for Enterprise portal (using NW 7.3) to the landscape, as its throw me an error "Product system has no technical system assigned".
From the display help its mentioned:
*Diagnosis*
Product system is not assigned a technical system in the system landscape of the Solution Manager.
*System Response*
Since the system landscape of the Solution Manager forms the basis for working with SAP Solution Manager, if your product systems are incorrectly assigned, many important functions are not available to you, or are only available on a restricted basis.
*Procedure*
Assign one or more technical systems to your product system . SAP recommends that you use the corresponding wizard of the Landscape Verification Tool. To start the wizard, choose the button Change Technical System Assignments next to the message. The user interface of the wizard contains detailed information about its usage.
I'm not sure with sentence of Assign one or more technical systems to your product system and which wizard are this referring to ?
I have also checked from the wiki:
http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SMSETUP/MaintenanceofProductintheSystemLandscape#MaintenanceofProductintheSystemLandscape-EnterprisePortal
And its only supported for NW 7.0 not 7.3.
Is there anyone had this issues ?
It's feels like I'm the only one stuck in this.
Thanks in advanced.
RaffHi Sunny,
Many thanks for your reply.
I have followed the guide you mentioned, now I can see 2 EPD Error from LVSM.
1. Product system EPD has no technical system assigned (new)
2. Technical system EPD is not assigned to a product system
For number 1. if I clicked on Change Technical System Assignments I can see EPD there, but when I want to add the EPD by clicking > I've got this error message " Newly linked technical system EPD has already been locked by user" I've tried to remove the lock from sm12 but nothing happen.
For number 2. if I clicked on Change Product System Assignments, there is an error messages "Technical system EPD was updated in parallel session"
I believe the number 1. coming because I create it from SMSY, but the number 2. is still there in the first place.
Cheers,

If technical system type is Exchange Infrastructure.
Hi,
In sld, when my technical system type is Exchange Infrastructure, there are 3 elements:adapter engine ,domain and integration server. But i know the right result is 6 elements,so other 3 elements are:integration repositary ,integration directory and rwb.Can you tell me how to add them?
Thanks in advance.
Best regards!Hi xinjiang.
Apply note 764176, it may help you. It helps you to get all the components self-registered in the SLD.

Error while exporting the 3rd party technical system in SLD
Dear all,
We're currently using PI 7.0. When trying to export the technical system in SLD, after the exporting, the IE jumps to the download page automatically, but there's a exclamation mark with no text info. I've tried to create a new 3rd-party technical system and try to export, the same thing happened.
It happened in both our develop and our production PI system.
