SLICENSE times out NSP WEB as 7.0

Hi,
I've tried to extend my license of the WEB AS 7.0 preview ABAP - Version.
I've acquired a license under www.sap.com/technology/minisap .
When I try to enter the new license key using the transaction "slicense" the system times out after 300 seconds and I get a short dump and also the new license isn't installed.
Did anyone have similiar problems ?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks !!!
Frank

Frank,
You will have to increase the timeout value 300 to something like 600 or 1200 based on your system configuration.
Callup transaction RZ10 and select the "Instance profile" by hitting F4 on the field Profile, edit this profile in "Extended Maintenance" mode.
(If you are not able to select a profile load them from the server, in RZ10 -> Utilities -> Import Profiles -> Of actve servers)
Once you edit the profile, you will see all the parameters and their set values. Look for parameter "rdisp/max_wprun_time". Change it's value from 300 to 1200 or 2400.
You may or may not have to re-start your SAP system.
Then once the value is set higher, you can try SLICENSE again.
Hope this helps

  • Time outs in Web Dynpro

    Hi,
    How does SAP applications handle sessions time outs in Web Dynpro for ABAP when the processing takes a long time.  Can we change some configuration settings so that we can have a Web Dynpro application can run for a very long time without getting into time-outs?

    WDA uses a Dialog Work Process just like a SAPGUI session and is subject to the same timeout limit on continuous processing within this work process.
    In addition there is also a separate timeout parameter at the ICM level.  This controls how long the HTTP connection is held open while wiating on the Diag Work Process to complete its work. The ICM time out is generally set shorter than the dialog WP timeout - default is set to 60 seconds.

    Snow Leopard DVD:
    You can get it only by phone now from Apple.
    In the US, call 1-800-MY-APPLE and ask for a sales assistant. Last quoted price was $19.99 for the single-user and $29.99 for the family licence.
    For other countries, check here; http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
    Don't forget to ask for Sales; the tech support guys can't help.
    When you've installed SL it will be 10.6.3. You need to update that to 10.6.8 with the combo installer from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 - that gives you access to the Mac App store.
    Lion is only available by phone also - same number and they'll give you a download code to use in the Mac App Store.
    If you're going to Mountain Lion you don't need to install Lion first - you can do it straight from Snow Leopard 10.6.8.
    Specifications;
    Snow Leopard 10.6.x:
    Lion 10.7.x;
    Mountain Lion 10.8.x:
    As for Lion, but also must be one of these groups;

    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It’s unlikely to solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    The purpose of this exercise is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login. Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
    Be sure your Mac is shut down.
    Press the power button.
    Immediately after you hear the startup tone, hold the Shift key. The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone, but not before the tone.
    Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple icon and the progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
    Note: If FileVault is enabled under Mac OS X 10.7 or later, you can’t boot in safe mode.
    Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. Same problem(s)?
    After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of the test.

  • Session time out in ADF 11g application.

    Hi,
    I am working for the ST BPO Project. We have one ADF application that is migrated from 10g to 11g.And our application is deployed on the weblogic server.
    we are facing some session time out issues in the application which is intermittent and whenever we leave the web page for some times, the session get timed out and page gets errored out.
    We have set the session time out parameter in web.xml as well as for AM.
    Session Management:
    Following are the parameters which we have set already.
    1.     Web.xml
    We have put the following session time out in web.xml:
    <session-config>
    <session-timeout>180</session-timeout>
    </session-config>
    2.     bc4j.xcfg
    We have set the timetolive property of AM as:
    <AM-Pooling jbo.ampool.timetolive="10000000" jbo.pooltimetolive="10000000"/>
    3.     Also for the DB we have set the session time out to 180 mins.
    But if we leave the page for say some times around 5-10 min, the session of the page expires and it throws error.
    Also, as per our investigation : After some times the view id of the page gets expired and hence the issue comes. Also the behaviour is only on the weblogic server and we don't face any issues in the local set up.
    Kindly help us in solving this problem. Also let me know if any further details is required.
    Thanks
    Namit.

    Hi,
    suggest you also contact customer support on this issue. The version of your JDeveloper 11g release may matter as well

  • Dump time out message in the portal

    Hi experts ,
    In my portal , the web dynpro  component "FPM_OIF_COMPONENT" is being used.
    when user logs in and then sit idle for 30 min. then after he press "save" button,
    he gets the dump message like
    "the URL http://...WebDynpro /sap/hap_main_document was not called due to an error
    User session (HTTP/SMTP /..) closed after time out."
    "the termination type was "ERROR_MESAGE_STATE"
    but the Service "WebDynpro /sap/hap_main_document" remains active.
    Timeout is set for 60 mins but it gets timeout after 30 mins.
    I have to show a normal alert message instead of the dump mesage. how can i achieve that..
    please help.

    Hi Tobias ,
    yes , !! time out for web dynpro is also set to 60 min .
    But as per the requirment , i have to show a page / pop up msg displaying "portal time out " instead of that dump mesage.
    in the meanwhile i have come across the t-code SICF , on executing it for services. then in the path
    "sap -> bc -> webdynpro -> namspace SAP - > HAP_MAIN_DUCUMENT  " i have found the setting to redirecting the user to a URL page when error occurs.for every type of error there is a option of "redirect to a URL".
    I have not tested it.But i think it might work.i am still working on it.
    your valuable feedback is welcome..

  • CRM WEB UI - Time out Pop-up

    Dear All,
    We have a business requirement to monitor and optimize the CRM WEB UI timeout and other related issues.
    I would like to have time-out pop-up for the call center agents  and hence they could better manage the sessions .
    This will avoid loosing the valuable customer data for the session and so on.
    We are now working on the following threads with CRM Technical folks.
    Please share your experience or the detailed steps if you had implemented already.
    SAP  note 1877120 - CRM-IC: session timeout issue with CRM 7 EHP1 and higher

    Hello Venkat,
    For business roles of type IC Webclient, you have to implement SAP Note 1877120. Don't forget to update your view layout in your custom enhancement if you have enhanced CRMCMP_IC_FRAME/HiddenView.
    After implementation of 1887120, also implement 1977631 and 1955366.

  • Session time out in a web application

    Hi,
    I am making a struts based web application. For session time out validation I have made an entry in the web.xml file as <session-config>
              <session-timeout>1</session-timeout>
         </session-config>
    In case the user's session time out occurs then he should be directed back to the log in page.
    Can any one tell me how to proceed in this case and what are the best practices.
    thanks

    Hi
    I've tested it with OC4J and it works both ways.
    I do think that you must have the
    <session-config> tag present though for the setMax... method to
    work, observe that this method is for seconds and not millisecond

    Hi all,
    I try to manage by my application the http session time-out.
    Change it in a web.xml works fine , but if in my servlet i try

    is that the session became invalidate after few seconds instead

  • WIH 00013 time out error while viewing a BO Web intelligence report

    Hi,
    I have a BO web intelligence report. While viewing the report i get WIH 00013 time out error. I have another report with everything same as this one except for one filter condition. That is working fine but former is giving me an error.
    I tried changing the timeout values to 120 minutes from 90 minutes in connection server setting but didn't work.
    Also when i run the same report by scheduling it in CMC and format as PDF, then it works fine. This error only comes when i try to view the report directly from infoview.
    Please let me know if there is any other way to resolve.
    Thanks!

  • WebLogic 10.3.6 Times Out When Starting Web App

    When starting our web app on WebLogic 10.3.6 using startWebLogic.sh on OEL (8 cores, 64 GB box), after about 5 to 6 minutes we receive a timeout error from WebLogic saying that it timed out trying to start the web app. The web app has some pre-computed indices to load which will take an estimated 10 to 15 minutes to load. Is there are way to control this timeout?

    The time-out you are getting is that related to a transaction?
    You can set the transaction time-out in the WebLogic console go to the JTA page for the domain, and change the value in the Timeout Seconds field.
    When you are using EJBs, you can also set the time-out on a EJB basis, instead of configuring the time-out for the whole domain.
    For example, in weblogic-ejb-jar.xml, you can configure the time-out by using:
    <weblogic-ejb-jar ...>
        <weblogic-enterprise-bean>
            <ejb-name>YOUR_EJB_NAME</ejb-name>
            <enable-call-by-reference>True</enable-call-by-reference>
            <stateless-session-descriptor>
                <pool>
                    <initial-beans-in-free-pool>25</initial-beans-in-free-pool>
                    <max-beans-in-free-pool>50</max-beans-in-free-pool>
                </pool>
            </stateless-session-descriptor>
            <transaction-descriptor>
                <trans-timeout-seconds>600</trans-timeout-seconds>
            </transaction-descriptor>
        </weblogic-enterprise-bean>
    </weblogic-ejb-jar>The transactions this EJB spawns can last for 10 minutes.

  • OpenScript- assertAttribute method never times out for DOMObject (web test)

    Hi all,
    Whenever I have an assertAttribute test on a web.button, web.link, web.textBox, any specific object type, the test works as expected, and fails as expected when the object isn't available...
    However, when I'm trying to do a similar test on a div element, I have tried both DOMObject and DOMElement (web.element and web.object), and in either case, if the object doesn't exist when the test gets there, the assertAttribute call will just hang FOREVER, even though the global timeout value is set to 5 seconds. :-\ Two examples:
    For a button, this will time out in 5 seconds and fail the test if the button isn't available:
    web.button("{{obj.Navigation.btnSearch}}").assertAttribute("Button text", "value", "Search", TestOperator.StringExact);
    But for a div, this will just wait forever:
    web.object("{{obj.Navigation.lblWelcome}}").assertAttribute("Welcome message", "innerText", "Welcome {{username}}", TestOperator.StringExact);
    Any ideas? I can work-around by testing if it's existing first, then calling assertAttribute next, but to me, it feels like a minor bug in OpenScript on these object types...

    I commented out the export line (I don't have CS3, only an old version of CS) and it seems to work fine. the problem, then, is with the export line, and (at a guess) the issue might be the odd way you've specified the document. instead of using the export command in a document tell block, try 'export current document in live_folder as...' and see if that helps.

  • How to increase the web session time out for FDM While data uploading.

    I have very large data files of Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss. These are taking very long time while being loaded through FDM. Kindly let me know of the following:
    1 - How can I increase the time for "web session time out" in FDM; and
    2 - What is the standard data loading time, e.g. how much time should it ideally take for approximately 1,000 lines to be load in Hyperion.

    Edited by: ar_aff on Sep 12, 2011 8:30 AM

    You supposedly feed it a (undocumented) parameter, -rxidletimeout, with the time in seconds, at startup.
    app.serverSettings.sessionTimeout will report back whatever value you fed it. However, in my experience so far, the timeout is somewhere around 30 seconds no matter what value you feed it. I might be doing something wrong.
    I currently have a ticket open with Adobe support about this very issue, but it's slow going. I'll try to update you with whatever I find out.
    I'd love to hear whether anyone else has this working.

    Have you looked at what preferences Safari is using?
    Also, did you have an older version?
    Still won't work after restart?
    There is never a good reason to "drop your guard" and disable or have to configure a normally working firewall.
    Chrome - I didn't like where it installed itself in Vista, ~/AppData/Local is NOT a valid location, along with half a dozen other 'features' and behavior. Also, when I uninstalled, why does it need to go to a web page, other than to register my IP address - without asking, and without launching my default (Minefield) and launching IE7.
    So I would try uninstalling Chrome just to rule out incompatibility, and to warn you that it does things that may not be what you expect either.
    Safari for Windows doesn't seem to respect some things that affect if and when a web page is saved to local cache, and can only see a problem if you had Safari working earlier (a common thread, installing Safari over older version it seems).
