Smart form through email

Hello eveyone,
i have a requirment to send smart form to external email address such as [email protected] i have created form but have no idea how to send smart form to external address.
we currently use just a code to send emails using SAPConnect but the text is hard coded.but now we want smart form to go out with email. does any one have any idea as what to do.
any idea will be appreciated. but i am looking for specific answers.
   Regards

This is all triggered by some program I am sure....so here goes....
(1) program starts
(2) does whatever logic to generate Smartform
(3) output and store Smartform on server
(4) call email function and set the appropriate to/from/subject/body info and make the Smartform the attachment
(5) end of program
This could even be scheduled with a variant to automate it.

    Hi,
For sending smartform output into mail you first have to generate spool request and convert it into PDF and then
only it can be sended into mail, please find the sample code in the mail below:

  • Submitting PDF form through email

I created an order form PDF a year ago (with Acrobat Pro 8) for a client's website with a button to submit the form through email. The customers can fill out the order form in Acrobat Reader 8 and email the PDF to my client's email. Now that doesn't seem to work anymore - an illegal operation message comes up. I've changed the action for the button to submit the order form as a FDF file but the form data is not found once the email is sent. I've found the FDF Toolkit but have no idea what to do with it. Is there a simpler way for customers to fill out the form and email it to my client?

Sure. Just enable the form so Reader users can save it when it's finished then instruct them to do so and attach it to an email.

  • Sending Adobe forms through Email and Fax

    Hi ,
I have created an Adobe Form i.e. PO Form,
whose print/driver  program is customised / based on SAPFM06P and routine used is ADOBE_ENTRY_NEU.
So , now I use the transaction ME22N and use the External Send option i.e sending Email , but the Email is getting sent to Spool instead of SOST.
So what changes do I need to make .
Can anyone tell me how do we send an Adobe Form through email * in which routine is based on Adobe_entry_neu .
    Thanks  in advance,
    Rohit

    Hi,
    Thanks for reply
The link u mentioned utilises Objects.. but can we send internet mail using this?
As we cannot change RECIPIENT TYPE in this case in the object.
I used this format in the program but the attachment is going to EXpress inbox. and goes to my SAP Inbox instead of Email .
So what changes we need to do for this.
Alternatively,  can we use FM 'SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1' for this purpose?

  • Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS) Smart form through the MRRL Transaction

    hi all,

How can i run my Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS) Smart form through the MRRL Transaction  ?
what fields should be put in the Nast -objectkey?
if possible Please Mail to me in my id <REMOVED BY MODERATOR> any documentation available for the given Transaction(MRRL)

    Hi,
ERS Definition: - Procedure for settling goods receipts automatically. When you use Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS), you agree with the vendor that the latter will not submit an invoice in respect of a purchase order transaction. Instead, the system posts the invoice document automatically on the basis of the data in the purchase order and goods receipts. This eliminates invoice variances.
    Uses: -
    - SAP recommend that you implement ERS only if you and your vendor have a clear agreement on the applicable conditions and you continuously update the purchase orders in the system.
    - The system determines the invoice amount for the relevant ordering transaction from the prices entered in the PO, the terms of payment, the tax information and the delivery quantity entered in the goods receipt.
    - ERS also generates credit memos: If an invoice has already been posted for a goods receipt and a return delivery has since taken place, the system generates a credit memo for the quantity returned.
    Advantages: -
Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS) is particularly suitable for creating settlement documents at regular intervals.
    ERS has the following advantages:
    - Purchasing transactions are closed more quickly.
    - Communication errors are avoided.
    - There are no price and quantity variances in Invoice Verification.
In test mode, the system can issue a list of goods receipts that can be settled and goods receipts that cannot be settled. The system makes no postings, it only lists the invoices selected.
    Refer following links for more details;

  • Send Smart Forms within emails (html) Problems with format

    Dear all,
the ABAP report SF_XSF_DEMO1 is a demo report which converts a certain smart form into HTML and then sends it as an email in html format.
Sending the email is possible without any problems but I am wondering about the email format.
    <a href="http://www.imgbox.de/show/img/e4QvgzsS4L.jpg" title="Bilder hochladen">This screenshot shows how the email looks like.</a>
I am not happy with the email layout as the Smart Form "SF_XSF_DEMO1" is designed in a different way.
What do I have to adapt within the report in order to send an email that really looks like the Smart Form? Or is it a customizing issue?
(I would like to avoid having to send the Smart Form as PDF attachment...)
    Thanks for you help!
    Kristian Kindler

    Hi Kristian,
When ever you send a smartform output as an HTML email, the system generates automatic style sheets which are not supported in many email clients such as Outlook 2007, hence you will face a formatting issue. We faced the same issue and had do it it like this:
Build a BSP page similar to the output which you want to send as an email. Now you can use the BSP URL to send the html email using cl_bcs class.
I have documented this in my article below-
    http://divulgesap.com/blog.php?p=NDA=
    Hope it helps.

  • Unable send ADOBE form through email as attachment

    Hello experts,
I was trying the [tutorial |https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/ee8a84ea-0c01-0010-5691-accfb0a172ed] on ADOBE interactive form through GP.
I am not able to send a form as an attachment as specifies in the document.
I have checked for all the required settings mentioned in the document and all seems to be ok.
Can anyone please provide a ray of help on how do I enable a ADOBE form to be passed as an attachment through email.
    Thank you.
    Ashutosh

    Hi,
just use a "Standard button", select it and go to the "Object" -> "Field" tab. Set the control type to "Submit". Go to the "Submit" tab. Set the submit format (e.g. PDF) and set the URL to "mailto:<receiver's email address>".
This will work fine without any JavaScript.
    Take care,
    Thomas

  • Adobe form Through Email

    Hello Gurus,
My requirement is to send the Adobe form via Email as attachment.
Am using FM "FP_JOB_OPEN", Generated Adobe Form FM and FP_JOB_CLOSE.
Here, am getting PDF format in "FPFORMOUTPUT-PDF".
As "FPFORMOUTPUT-PDF"  is in format of xstring, We need to convert it to Binary and for this am using FM "SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY".
    Code:
data: li_att_content_hex type standard table of x.
    CALL FUNCTION 'SCMS_XSTRING_TO_BINARY'
      EXPORTING
        BUFFER     = FPFORMOUTPUT-pdf
      TABLES
        BINARY_TAB = li_att_content_hex.
Later, am using the FM "SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1" to send a mail.
As a result am getting the mail with attachment as PDF but when I try to open the attachment it gives me an error as "It wasn't correctly decoded".
Please, Let me know about this issue.

  • Submit a form through email with multiple signatures

I have a form, where a number of people can digitally sign the form and email it to the next person. Designed in LiveCycle, with javascript and reader extended.
On the first sign and email, everything works great. However when the next person gets the form signs it and tries to email it, the body and subject is replaced by:
The attached file contains data that was entered into a form. It is not the form itself.
The recipient of this data file should save it locally with a unique name. Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 or later can process this data by importing it back into the blank form or creating a spreadsheet from several data files. See Help in Adobe Acrobat Professional 7 or later for more details.
    Whats all the hocus pocus?
edit: Something I noticed is that, with some digital signatures, I disable a good majority of the form to read only "lock fields", then when I email I get the above text replaced in the body of the email.

  • Smart Form by email

    Hi SDN,
    According to the help:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm40sr1/helpdata/en/2b/468ca63fa611d5b6a1006094192fe3/frameset.htm
"To send forms as e-mails using SAP Smart Forms, you have to fill the e-mail parameters of the generated function module:
The parameters MAIL_SENDER and MAIL_RECIPIENT to pass the sender and the recipient of the document. To fill these parameters, you have to create the respective BOR objects of object type RECIPIENT and fill their attributes.
The parameter MAIL_APPL_OBJ, which you use to link the application object with the sent document. You have to create a BOR object for this parameter too.
To ensure that SAP Smart Forms evaluates the e-mail "
My problem is how can i make the conection to the BCI? On the generated function appears the folowing:
    is_mail_appl_obj -
fill this parameter if your application object is a BOR object
the output will be connected with the BOR object via SAP Office
this is done for mail and fax but not for print outputs

    Can you help me?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
    I found the solution myself.
I've changed the paramter get OTF of the smart form function, then I call the FM CONVERT_OTF, change the format from 132 to 244 characters.
Then call a ZFM that uses the macro instructions for BOR
    (message) and it works fine.
