Smartwatch MN2 Problems

A couple months ago I bought a Smartwatch online. I was pretty happy because it was working with my phone an all... but then I accidentally dropped it in the toilet when before I took my shower! I put it in rice, tried to charge it when it wasn't wet on the outside anymore, but all my futile efforts couldn't revive my corroded device. I'm wondering (if I could send it in to get it repaired) how much would it cost?

Simply you buy a new device. Recessed devices are often no longer be repaired.

Smartwatch mn2 battery problem

i have a 2 month old smartwatch mn2 and its battery is so easy to drain. it discharges within a day even i used it or i dont use it. it is a pain for me to charge it every night. please help.

You could try reinstalling it via SUS and check if you experience any improvement in terms of battery life.

Smartwatch Mn2

Hello, i have two problems with my Xperia device. I use Android 4.4.4 (14.4.A.0.108)
I have a problem with Sony Smartwatch MN2 and connecting them to my phone.
My previous phone was different brand than Sony, and my Smartwatch worked very well with it.
Now, i set up my Smartwatch with my new Sony Xperia Z1 compact. But i have a problem. I connect them with my phone, but when i run app on smartwatch like missed calls, or messages, it loads normaly, but when i try to run weather, or smart camera, or any app like this, it takes veeery long time to load so my smartwatch turn off display or if i still touch it with my fingers, it loads after 20-30 seconds.
I know this is not normal, i still use stamina mode and other baterry saving features from Sony, but i also tried to turn them all off, restart phone, but smartwatch dont still work as they should. I use also sony phone, and there is a big problem with it. Can you advise me something?

Are Sony Apps for SmartWatch (MN2) (LiveWare™ extension for SmartWatch) compatible with SmartWatch 2 (SW2) (Smart Connect extension for SmartWatch 2) ?
Do Sony Apps « Répertoire Smart Extras™ » or « Informations RSS Smart Extras™ » (available with SmartWatch (MN2)) work with SmartWatch 2 (SW2) ?

Most MN2 apps should work on SW2. Of course they will be limited in size (smaller than SW2 native apps) and will not benefit from additional controls.

I hhave a problem with my Sony Smartwatch MN2

I have problem with my Smartwatch. When I turn the watch on Is the clock in blue contrast,the menu is in blue contrast ,the whole watch has a blue contrast .Like on the photo. The sign Sony when i turn it on is also in blue contrast. Could please somebody help me. What is wrong with my watch?

Smartwatch 2 problem with button

I have for a few weeks the SW 2. It works good but..
I have to press so hard on the (only) button for starting the 'android-like" interface.
Sometimes I have to press 5 times for 1 succesfull hit.
You have to press 2 times to reach the menu...
It goes better when i have the watch in my hand and i can press with my thumb.
But with the watch around my wrist it is not easy.
Are there any persons with the same problem ?
My forefinger already hurts.
Isn't it posseble to go to the menu with double-click somthing like that ?

Download update to smartwatch 2 problem

I have a lg optimus l9 with android 4.1.2 wich meets the requirements for pairing with the smartwatch 2. Everything went well with the paring, smart connect, etc, until the last part. when the smartwatch 2 app on my phone recognizes my smartwatch 2, it starts to download an update to the smartwatch, but the download bar doesnt even move on my phone nor on the smartwatch 2; its like its not even downloading. i even let them both sit next to eachother for 4 hrs still nothing happening. i dont know if its my phone or i got a faulty smartwatch 2.

I had the same problem with my LG Optimus 4X HD. The downloadbar didn't progress. So I tried connecting it with my laptop, that didn't work eihter, when I plugged in my smartwatch into my laptop, my laptop doen't recognize the watch, the fault I'm getting on the usb port my watch is plugged into is : A request for the USB device descriptor failed. My brothers has a Sony mobile so I updated my watch using his phone, resetted my smartwatch and then connected it with my LG. It worked, I could connect, only to find out that I don't receive anything on my watch. Only after a reset I sometimes get a notification of my facebook. Searched everywhere for a solution, but didn't find anything. If somebody could help, that would be great. I Payed too much for it only to wear it as a normal watch...

Dear can not connect to xperia E4G and also in E3, my watch smartwtach sony mn2, as I do not recognize it. The LiveView is installed and can not find it also was tested with Smart Connect and finds the clock ... thanks

You can try and Reset your Sony SmartWatch and also clear the SmartConnect App data and check if that helps.

How to clear the SmartConnect data.
From your Phone Home screen
1. Tap the Application screen icon.
2. Find and tap Settings > Apps.
3. Swipe to the All tab.
4. Find and tap on the SmartConnect app.
5. Tap Force stop > Clear data.
6. Restart the phone.

My smartwatch MN2 won't turn on if it doesn't connect to usb (without charging)

Sounds like there might be something wrong with it. Try to update/repair it via PC Companion at first. Get back to me with the results.

SmartWatch MN2 "do not disturb" mode ?

Hello Sony Mobile team !
I often wake up on the morning due to my SmartWatch vibrating on incoming calls / notifications, is there any way to put the SmartWatch in "do not disturb"-like mode during a determined period of the night or simply on user request ?
If the answer is negative, and as I develop apps for Android in my free time, is there any way I can implement this functionnality myself via Sony Add-on SDK, in order to share it with the community afterward ?

The purpose of my question was because I thought about a sleep-analyzer application, that need user to wear the smartwatch while not being disturbed by notifications

Smartwatch MN2 Battery indicator wrong / always full charge

It's the second time im charging my watch after i bought it and i've noticed that the battery indicator show's always full and when charging it, it always show fully charged but then it's not.
i tried to reset the watch, uninstall/install smarwatch app but it didn't help.
Anything you all could help me with?
Could it be a software error or it's firmware?
Defect machine, even when it worked for 3 1/2 days?

Try reinstalling the SmartWatch firmware using SUS to see if it makes any difference. If not I suggest that you contact your local support team to have it examined and fixed.

SmartWatch MN2 makes noise

hi mate;
yesterday i bought a sony smart watch. And today i noticed if there were any incoming call's my smart watch start's vibrate smoothly but, with in couple of seconds it start's make some noice while vibrating. the soud is something like this zzzzz!!! zeee zzzz!!! is it a problem with my device?

Smartwatch mn2 charger

i have a smartwatch one, and my charger wire is broken. Now im looking for a way to buy a wire from sri lanka. I found that i cant get it locally so only choice is buying it online. Now still i cant figure it out that sony store ships to my country or not. Please help.

Smartwatch SW2 not working with LG Swift L9?

OK, i had something similar with previous Smartwatch (MN2), but i had hopes it will get better with SW2.
LG Swift L9 is 4.1 (JBean). SW2 is *.B.0.25 (ALREADY updated with latest, via PC/cable and Sony Update Service soft).
So, here how it is:
- I've managed to pair it with me LG9,
- asks for Smart Connect (on watch screen) so i install it from play,
- when opening Smart Connect on phone, asks about SW2 app, so again - i install it from play,
- then what happens is that i get white rectangle on gray background on the smartwatch screen, and THATS IT.
- the only think to recover/restart the process is to reset the watch, try to pair again, that works, but immediately after that, if i only start smartconnect - i get the white rectangle on gray background.
Any ideas? Suggestions?
C'mon Sony - its advertised to work with Android 4+ smartphones, LG Swift L9 is such a smartphone. If it turns out to be a blocker - I will switch to Pebble (assuming if it only works with LG L9) - AND WILL NEVER LOOK BACK.
I wanted to stick with Sony, as i'm a dev, and Sony seems to provide most structured SDK/APIs for this product comparing to other smartwatches (with relatively nice Play store integration). But **bleep**, experiencing all of this im loosing any confidence... [and patience].
PS. Yes - i've called Sony UK support already, but they seems to be clueless. Looks like these guys never had the SW2 in their hands.

Ok, looks like i solved my problem, so posting here - if someone lands in similar trouble.
I took my SW2 to a collegue, with a different mobile than mine (I think it was Samsung Galaxy SII something, also with Android 4.+). Then we paired it, and then, surprisingly - SW2 downloaded a SW update, got upgrade to this 1.0.* slash 1.0.* version and started working fine with his phone. Then we unpaired it, reset the SW2, and paired it with my phone - and it worked!
Apparently the issue was that the SW2 version i had initially was veeeeery old, old enough that my LG L9 could not connect, and old enough that my LG L9 could not even upgrade it. Once we passed that point - everyhing works smoothly (at least for the last 5-6 hours).
Issue solved then.

Crack on the Smartwatch SW2

I am a regular buyer of your Sony Products. I have purchased Sony Smartwatch SW2 from Ebay India last month. I am not satisfied with this product as the screen has got a crack with a mild hit to the wall. The product quality is not good. When I casually met the customer care at Hyderabad. He rejected when ever there is a crack on the Smartwatch SW2 they will not replace. Earlier I used Sony Smartwatch MN2 which quality is very fine.
I request you to please escalate the matter to your higher management for improvement of quality of such products and please provide a solution for the replacement of my product.
