Software Component in two tracks

Hi,
I have created a software component in SLD and created a track in NWDI. I have imported that track in my NWDS and have added DCs to my SC. My SC has been deployed to all the runtime environments correctly.
Now I want to deploy the content of this SC to another landscape of runtime systems so I have created a new track, configured the new runtime systems and imported the SC to the track.
Even though it is the same SC than in track 1, the SC in track 2 does not contain the DC's of track 1. I need to have these DC's deployed to all my runtime systems of track 2. Shouldn't an SC always contain its DCs no matter which track it is part of?
What have I done wrong? How can I have my DCs deployed to my other runtime systems using NWDI?

Hi,
You should create a Track Connection in your CMS (Change Management Service - Transport Studio).
1. Connect as administrator in your CMS
2. Click on the "Landscape Configurator" link (top-left)
3. Click on the "Track Connections" tab
4. Click on the "Add..." button
5. Choose your source and destination tracks, and the connection type.
If you plan that TrackB is for upgrading services of TrackA but you want to maintain TrackA for solving defects, then you should choose "Repair" as a connection type. Otherwise, you should choose "Transport".

I have created a product, software component in SLD and added the dependencies to the software component in SLD and in CMS i created a track and include the software component which i have created in SLD. For this software component SC State is not at all displaying (red, yello, green). How to change the SC state of the software component. Software Component in the track need to be refreshed

   I created a track (T1) and a Software component (SC) in it. I deployed a SCA file (SCA1) with 6 DCs in it. All the Dcs get deployed and it results in one Broken DC. I couldnt solve the broken DC error. So I developed all those 6 DCs newly with different name and now I am ready with the new SCA file (SCA2).
       Now I need to
                   1. clear the Software Component (SC) in the track(T1). So that the broken DC wont get displayed there.
                   2. I want to deploy the newly developed SCA file (SCA2). (So that I can have a clear track without Broken DCs)
                 Please help me in this.

        But the thing is that I have deployed the new SCA file(SCA2) once again in the SC1. So now am having 12 DCs in the track with one broken DC.
        So if I create a new track (say T2) and deploy the SCA file then it will be like another copy and I think there will be a conflict in the Link opening that DC.

Can't see created Software Component in CMS

Hi
I have created a software component in the SLD (NW 2004s SP2). Now i want to develop it. But when i try to add this software component to my track in the CMS, i can't find it. I suggested in an another forum post, i try to push the "refresh" button in the CMS but it doesn't help.

...its very strange. Now i have the same problem as before. I think i solved it, but i'm wrong.
There is a button labeled "synchronize dependencies", but no solution for my problem. I have create 2 software components in the SLD. One without any dependencies and one with 3 other software components dependencies. I made two tracks in the CMS and import them into my NWDS. Then i remember, that my defined dependencies are wrong. So i delete both tracks in the CMS. In the SLD i decide to delete one software component and edit the other one. I add my needed software components in the SLD to my custom software component. Now i create a tack again and want to add my custom software component, BUT there are shown both old software components in the table, where i can select/search my custom component. If i press the "synchronize dependencies"-button, nothing happened.

UME Administration Software Component has no DCs in it?

I've successfully imported the "UME ADMINISTRATION 7.00" SC for Netweaver 2004s SP10 patch level 0 (and all buildtime required SCs) in a development track, but the Component Build Service says there is nothing to build. The build compartment for the SC does not contain any DCs... Any idea what might be the reason?
In Netweaver Developer studio the SC is also empty.

SC filename: UMEADMIN10_0-10003471.SCA

If you only want to use UME API you should only have that SCA as "Required Software Component" in your track and thus only as archives.
Source &Archive means you want to develop the UME API and since the SCA contains no sources you will get nothing in your track.

Upload Third Party Software Component and assignment to Track

How can I upload Third-Party Software Components and make it selectable for adding it to the Track under SAP NetWeaver Development Infrastructure > Change Management Service > Landscape Configurator > [Track] > Add SCu2026

--> I added the SC "HMVCGLXBRIDGE" afterwards in the SLD und after an update and synchronisation in CMS it is also not shown
I checked the HMVCGLXBRIDGE.sca and there are two files in the BUILDARCHIVES folder:

Not sure on how to copy a DC but you can move custom developed SC from One track to another.

Overview of necessary software component dependencies while creating track

Hi all,
does anybody have a an overview of all necessary software component dependencies, which
have to be existent, for configuring a development track for Web Dynpro or Portal Applications?
Moreover I have heard, that these SC dependencies depend on the Version (NW2004 or NW2004s). If this
is right, I would like to know both cases.
In case, if some of the software components are not available, how can I fix this issue or are these software components part of
Usage type AS Java per default?

No software component in integration builder

hi all,
currently i just setup a cms using my single development server, i follow all the guides from creating domain, track, add the software component, but when i go to the integration builder, there was no software component in there, is there any solution for my case? thanks.

You are talking about two things here. One you dont find any software component in your IR. Did you mean any software component or the SWC you createtd in SLD. If you dont anything then it might be a new box and you need to import the XI content as given by Mark.
Else if you are talking about the one you have created in SLD you need to import.
Also you are talking about tracks, domain. This is for transporting the objects to a different system. So while transporting you using CMS we use this. For this we will first transport the SWC and then all the IR objects.
Also for correct exact responses, please state your issue in detail.

Error while Deleting Software Component

I am getting following error while deleting Software Component Version:
Unable to Delete object DELETEDEMO_COMPONENET, 1.0 of delete.
You cannot delete a sotware component version if it contains imported interfaces.
Is there any shortcut isntead of deleting all objets manuually?

Hi Sri.
It's very simple
Solution:
Double Click on Software Component, On Right Hand side >Go to Software Component Version->Delete the software component.If all the necessary Objects have been properly deleted, there will be no problem in Deleting the Software Componet version
1) Delete the created Data Types, Message Types, Message Interfaces, Message Mappings, and Interface Mappings.
2) There should be no Imported SAP Objects in the Software Component. If any delete them and activate changes.
3) Delete all namespaces in the editor using sign. Do not save the changes.
4) Delete the two default data types that are created in the Interface Objects-->Data Types of the software component version (ExchangeFaultdata, ExchangeLogdata). Now save changes for the s/w component version and activate the changes. Ignore the warnings that pop-up.
5) The radio button for u201CInterface import should be at u201CNot permittedu201D instead of u201CImport RFC and IDoc Interfaces from SAP Systems Permittedu201D.
6) Now go to Software component version menu in the right hand pane. Click on delete and the software component vanishes from left hand pane

Unable to read software component version from System Landscape Directory "

I've worked in past creating/importing SWCV, but this is new system PI7.0 and stuck.
A) Is my understanding on resolution correct?
Should I go and apply notes 940309 and create client copy of existing client 001
                                    OR
change role of client 001; SXMB_ADMIN -> 'Integration Engine Configuration' to 'Integration Server'
I have no problem in using client 001 as Integration server, all I want is import of SWCV to work. Thanks. Appreciate the help.
B) Here is what I have done and the error:
1) Followed weblog below and created product, software component, technical system, business sytem in SLD.

2) When I import the SWC from integration repository getting error

1) check the RFCs SAPSLDAPI, LCRSAPRFC, connection test pass as the program ID registered with Jco
2) T-code SLDCHECK no errors (followed http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/de/78/20244134a56532e10000000a1550b0/content.htm)
3) T-code SLDAPICUST got user PIAPPLUSER, pwd is correct (reset the pwd)
4) logged using PIAPPLUSER http://server:port/sld and it works
5) One of the weblog SLD Check Failed (LCR_LIST_BUSINESS_SYSTEMS function doesn't work) referred to apply notes 940309

I still retained client 001 and didn't do client copy as mentioned in the notes. The wizard based CTC tool helped. Here are the details if someone has similar issue and want to know further details:

How to VIEW two tracks's materials SIMULTANEOUSLY and SYNCHRONIZED in MONITORS?

How to VIEW two tracks's materials SIMULTANEOUSLY and SYNCHRONIZED in MONITORS?
"Program-monitor" shows the final edited material, and "Source-monitor" shows only one track at a time, and NOT SYNCHRONIZED with the sequence. "MultiCam-monitor" shows the tracks as I need, BUT editing is very stiff: I want to do edits+cross-fades by hand IN THE TIMELEINE rather than by clicking the monitors. (Some of the "MultiCam-monitor's" other problems: 1) the timeline's time-inspector doesn't move while clicking the monitors, 2) vice-versa: monitor-image doesn't roll when the space-key is pressed for playback the timeline, 3) monitor doesn't show the cross-fades.....) I understand the "Reference-monitor" doesn't help either at this.
I would SO much like to SEE all tracks' materials simultaneously in whatever monitor, to edit efficently in the timeline.
Software: Premiere CS3 version 3.2.0
Operating System: Mac OS X (v10.4)

You can only do this in the multicamera monitor. That's what it's there for. Proper procedure is to cut there, then go to the timeline and add transitions.
If you're multicamera monitor playback isn't working correctly (I admit having a hard time understanding your points here), then try solving those.

Software Component does not support selected Development Component Type...

I have a problem, i want create a new project of Mobile Service Component, but, when i want select MyComponents [demo.sap.com], in the top appear:
"Software Component does not support selected Development Component Type. Required DCs are located in an SC that is not visible from the selected SC "

Hi Victor,
the issue is that the archive pool in your NWDS is not set up properly. Could you check the configuration of the development configuration? I guess you are developing in Local Development, right? Please check in the "Component Browser" that the two Software Components "NWMCLIENT" and "XOCA" are present and contain some DCs inside them. If this is not true, than something went wrong with your setup of the IDE. The modifications of the default.confdef are most likely not right.
Please come back to me if you don´t know how to proceed.

Unable to create DC using software component

Hi,
I have created Software component, and later downloaded track into my NWDS but while I am trying to create DC using above Software Component which is in gray out.
The software component does not support the selected development component type. At least one required DC is not visible.
I am working on CE7.2, NWDS v7.2 SP04 PAT0008

Hi Dev,
Please check required dependancy for the software component which you have created for CE7.2 track and make entries in the Name reservation for custom development. Once you modify then stop/start SLD server. then in the landscape configurator, do the update CMS.
Please check all the required parameters in CMS are updated properly and you have checkin and imported component in checkin and development tab repestively in transport studio.

Software Component Version

Hi Friends,
I maintained two Namespaces(say Name1, Name2) under a Software Component version.
I developed a scenario under Name2. But i found it wrong. So I deleted all the objects in it like interface objects, mapping objects and also ExchangeFaultData, ExchangeLogData by mistake. Now iam trying to delete the whole namespace from SWCV. But Iam unable to go to the edit mode of SWCV and also iam unable to activate the SWCV.
Please do help me to delete the namespace under the SWCV

Sorry Typing Mistake.
First Delete all the objects that u have created in that namespace. Once that is done activate the scenario.
After that delete Exchange log, Fault data type. Then go to software component and delete name space. Save the SWC component and then activate the SWC.
Let me know if u face any problem.
If u delete any object by mistake, u can go to change list, select object and say reject change.
