[ SOLVED ] bluez-simple-agent not found

[na5m@arch64 ~]$ bluez-simple-agent
bash: bluez-simple-agent: command not found
Per https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Bluetooth, I have installed
bluez, bluez-utils, python2-dbus, python2-gobject, and dbus-glib.
Where the devil is bluez-simple-agent hiding? Thanks!

I was completely unaware of this. Someone should insert that info into the wiki, and a few examples on usage too when they are at it.

  • Bluetooth authorization not working (bluez-simple-agent)

    Hello
I'm trying to connect my Sony BD remote control to my laptop. Pairing and manual connect using hcitool works fine, but when my remote control initiates the connection,  my laptop seem to deny its connection requests. (See attached hcidump output).
I have tried using bluez-simple-agent, and I get the authorization request prompt. I enter 'yes', hit return, and I immediately get "Cancel" printed on the terminal. The remote control is still not authorized.
I have dbus running, as well as bluetoothd, hci2hci and hidd running.
Please help! I'm clueless at this point.

Is there any way to add a device to a list of trusted devices?
I once read about a certain file called "trusted" in a bluetooth directory, and it almost worked when I added my device there, but once connected it disconnected and the device was removed from the trusted list.
Any idea what is going on here?

    # bluez-simple-agent 00:23:78:5C:00:A8
I got the same error when I just tried that myself... but if I add the bluetooth adapter parameter it goes further:
    # bluez-simple-agent hci0 00:23:78:5C:00:A8
Because my headphones were already paired at the time, I think that's why I then got a "Creating device failed: org.bluez.Error.AlreadyExists: Already Exists"... but it may work for your unpaired device.

  • "Apple Q-Master file agent not found"

When I try to burn a Blu-Ray disk in FCP7 via the command 'Share', after a few seconds I get the message: "Apple Q-Master file agent not found' and the burn is aborted. It worked perfectly before, so I'm puzzled that is does not any more. What goes wrong? OS is Snow Leopard on a Mac Pro.

I checked the Q-Master pane in 'system preferences' but which setting of the very many available is meant to enable Q-Master? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm only a sporadic user of FCP...

The task was to transfer spreadsheets from a NOKIA E63 to an XPERIA X120 arc with

While getting bluez-simple-agent going was very much trial and error, it works on 2 machines (out

BTW, there were a few problems with already installed libraries, so I simply renamed

  • After installation of Mavericks, I get the warning : Apple Qmaster File Agent not found.  Any solutions?

    Hello,
Everything was great running Mavericks in FCPX and seemingly Compressor... up until I hit the 'submit' button on a project.  I found the following thread, which is related, but it doesn't mention Mavericks so I started a new one here.  I'm guessing my problem has to do with Mavericks because I was able to export videos fine yesterday before the upgrade.   I followed Russ' potential solution in that thread to no avail.  The same problem happens whether I try to use the systems cluster or not.  Here's the thread:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/23434754#23434754
After trying all of that, I decided to use FCS Remover to remove FCPX, Compressor and QMaster (like I've had to do in the past when something would stop working after an update).  I then re-installed everything and opened my Compressor project back up for export.  I was expecting it to go through at that point, but alas, the same dreaded warning message appears:  "An internal error occurred: Apple Qmaster File Agent not found."
I'm stumped.  Don't know what to do besides uninstalling all my pro apps, including QMaster, and reinstalling.
    Any ideas?

I set QMaster Preferences for Compressor Services to "Share" = checked and "Managed" = Checked, then I set Instances to 4, it did not work, back to the original error "Qmaster file Agent not found".
Look at some of your information I noticed that in Qmaster Preference the "Advanced" - Network - Use Network Interface: "All Interfaces". So I changed that to "Built-in Ethernet 2" (NIC my cable is plugged into) and set "Enable Port Range: From 50,000 with number of ports 1000".
So, for the heck of it I tried setting Instances to 2 -- and it worked, look in Batch Monitor I see 5 segments, 1 audio and 4 video with 2 out of 4 video transcoding (each was assigned about a 2 min chunk of video). Progress -- ok, so now I set Instances to 3 and submit batch -- it's still working, I get 7 segments 6 video and 1 audio. Ok the big test, setting Instances to 4 and it still works!! 9 segments, 8 video and 1 audio, WoooHoo, its working!
Just to be sure I open up Activity monitor and all 4 of my CPUs were cranking at 95% utilization.
Also checked OS X firewall setting, they are set to most minimal. Checked my router also, 192.168.1.2 is the IP assigned to my MacPro and the router is set to DMZ that specific IP (meaning is basically open to any port).
But I think the KEY in my case was to change the "Use Network Interface" from "All Interfaces" to "Built-in Ethernet 2" and then Enable Port Range from 50,000.
On a side note, the progress bars in Batch Monitor and in Compressor are way off with the "Remaining" time estimates -- overall progress will suddenly jump -- it looks as if the remaining time isn't being divided by the number segments currently running or something?
    Thank you for your assistance.
    Rob.

  • Ad-hoc agent not found ??? :-(

    Hi everybody,
I was trying to activate the workflow por PO Approval (1 step):
    - Event Linking: WS14000089
    - Agent Assignment: TS14007970
I assigned the agents without any problem, but.. when I want to test my config, I receive this error:
    "Ad-hoc agent not found "
I have no clue about this =(    I dont know if this behavior is due to a configuration or the abap guy modified the standard WF   =(
    Any idea ?
    Thank you !
    Diego

    Diego,
As Pierre explained, the PO standard WF in SRM assigns agent dynamically in the WF.
You have to define the task as a general task to "allow" the WF to assign the right agent (purchaser's manager in your case).
In fact if you want yto define the approver yourself, use the n-level WF based on BADI for PO.
    Regards.

  • [SOLVED] HPLIP- PPD file not found.

    Hello all,
I am trying to install an HP Officejet 5610 All-in-One. I have used HPLIP in Ubuntu before to install it and it worked fine. However, I do not seem to be able to get it to work here in Arch.
I installed hplip through pacman, which seemed to work fine.
    Upon typing:
    sudo hp-setup
I select USB as the printer I want to detect, and that goes fine. It sees that I have an 'HP Officejet 5600 series' and after clicking next I get a 'PPD file not found' error.
I try the 'Select Other' option, but there is no PPD file relating to the 5610 AIO or even the 5600 series. I also went to linuxprinting.org to try and find a PPD file, but there doesn't seem to be one for this printer.
As I say, I know that the printer/scanner/fax-everything worked just fine in Ubuntu, so I am sure that it can be accomplished here. I must just be missing something simple.
Does anyone have any idea as to how I can get the appropriate PPD file, or which one of the listed ones might work instead? The only Officejet that I see listed is the 'hp_officejet_9100_series-ps.ppd.gz', does that sound like a reasonable choice?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I should have mentioned that I am running Arch64, in case that has some bearing on the issue.

    Thanks for the reply.
Well this is all rather odd. I checked and I had chosen 'foomatic/hpijs'. So I tried printing this thread again. No more odd characters. Apart from some seriously awful fonts (it is not printing the fonts that I actually see on the page) the page prints more or less normal. Also though, the Arch Linux banner does not show up, and Home, Forums, etc. do but they don't print right. There should be a black and a blue bar over the Home, Forums, etc., but it doesn't show up. I tried printing a third time and got the same weird characters as the first time.
So what do you think the problem with this is? I find it strange that it almost works once, then works weird, and I'm sure if I try enough times I will get another decent page. So I am lost here. The scanner seems to be working fine though. So there is definite progress, after all the printer works now. I assume that it is some language of font problem. I really have no idea though. Any more help is appreciated. Thanks.
I was gonna include screenshots but I don't seem to be able to figure out how to do that. Help please

  • Can't solve "valid signing identity not found" issue

    Hello,
I'm having a lot of trouble getting an app to build properly.  I'm using the Corona SDK, but I believe that my true problem lies here:
It says, "Valid signing identity not found."
I've gone through the process of uninstalling all of my Provisioning Profiles and reinstalling them numerous times but still haven't solved this issue.  Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers,
    - Bret

    Hi etresoft,
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply to my question.  I am under the assumption that my build issue has something to do with the "Valid signing identity not found." message that appears in the XCode Provisioning Profiles window.  In all probability, this is causing my build issue, and it seems like a Provisioning / Keychain issue and not necessarily a Corona SDK issue. I did contact Corona anyhow and I'm waiting for a reply.
If there's any chance you can help me debug the "Valid signing identity not found", I would be very grateful!
    Cheers,

Update your system - "pacman -Syu".  The clue is that the file you manually downloaded is different to the one pacman is trying to get.

I found it in the ABS tree even though it doesn't seem to exist in any of the repos anymore. You may want to file a bug report. I don't know if it's being used by anything. It's listed as installed as a dependency but not required by anything.

  • [SOLVED] sudo and "command not found" problems

Ok, the problem I've got is this: sudo has suddenly started acting real strange. It can't find any programs. For example, if i type
    sudo echo
    It just goes
    sudo: echo: command not found
And another problem I've got, is that as a regular user, it can't find programs in /sbin, or other "exotic" places. For example it can't find firefox, because it's not in /usr/bin or /bin, but in /opt/mozilla/bin.
    Please, help me!

    sudo -V outputs this
    Sudo version 1.6.9p15
    $PATH outputs
bash: /usr/gnu/bin:/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:.: No such file or directory
    pacman -Q firefox outputs
    firefox 2.0.0.7-1
Yeah, maybe I should update it anyway
And /var/log/errors.log does contain stuff about hard disks, but it's just me mounting my iPod and the Windows partition on my hd
