Spark Blinking issue

Hi,
I am creating a folding animation in flex. For the folding animation I am adding and removing sprites to a spark group. Using the tween class I tweened the sprites and on animation complete I am removing the current sprites from the group and adding the new set of sprites to tween.
group.removeAllElements()
This is used to remove the elements from the sprite
group.addElement()
This is used to add the element to the sprite
But the issue I am facing is a blinking happenning while removing and adding sprites to the group. The thing is this is happening onlly at initial loading of tha application. Tried different ways with no success. Any help will be appreciated.

Understood the probelm. But still not find the solution
Its not sure that removeAllElements and addElement happens in one update. It may be happen in atleast two updates one for removal and one for addition. The blinking is caused by the brief time frame b/w the two updates.
Is there any way to make the update at once?

Spark DataGrid Issue

I'm working with the new Spark DataGrid, and I understand it's still a work in progress. I've also created a bug in the Adobe bug system. However, I want to be sure that I'm not overlooking something.
Here is an example that illustrates the issue. If I create an itemRenderer for a column in a dDtaGrid, it takes 2 clicks to trigger the click event and 3 clicks to trigger the doubleClick event, if you click on the column with the itemRenderer. This happens about 95% of the time. Occasionally, it works as expected, but that's a rarity. So the question is, am I doing something wrong in the use of itemRenderers.

I have approximately the same problem : I want to listen double click (doubleClick or gridDoubleClick) on a spark datagrid.
The double click event is always dispatched when I double-click on a column whose item renderer is a textArea (even with doubleClickEnabled=false).
The double click event is SOMETIMES dispatched when I double-click on a column whose item renderer is an image or a label :
1. When I double-click for the first time on the label renderer : it gives focus to datagrid and select item but does not dispatch doubleClick
2. When I double-click on the textArea colum, then on the Label column of the same row, doubleClick is well dispatched
3. When I double-click on the textArea colum, then on the Label column of a different row, doubleClick is not dispatched
4. when I double-click on the label column after double-clicking on another row in the Label column, doubleClick is well dispatched
I think it's the same behaviour with simple click event.
Do you think spark datagrid is not stable enough and we should use mx datagrid instead ?

Mx106 red led blinking issue

What does it mean if the red led of the dynamixel mx 106t keeps blinking... it was running just fine with a baudrate of 36 for 5 minutes... then the problem starts when the motor led starts blinking continuously....

may be your TA Unit is broken, you must flash a TA fix with FlashTool so your phone works again, make shure you've got your drivers installed correctly, and you aren't on windows 8.1 RTM/Preview (still not compatible) . Cheers

Spark VideoPlayer issue with streaming in iOS Devices

Hi,
I’m working in a mobile application using Flex which needs playing remote videos.
So, we are having some problems with the streaming of FLV videos in iOS devices. When we play a streaming video on iPhone or iPad, after some time (about 1 minute), the application just crashes and closes.
We are using:
- FLV video format;
- Flex 4.5.1;
- Flash Media Server 3;
- Spark VideoPlayer component.
It doesn’t occur when we are using Android devices neither when we are accessing medias located in our local network (including in iOS devices). The problem occurs only when we are accessing medias located in an external FMS server through iOS devices.
I would really appreciate if someone could give any help about this problem.

I try to access the web using http://server:8134/index.html and no luck and also try IP address and no luck eather.

K8N Neo Plat MS-7030 monitor blinking issue

My socket 754 K8N Neo Platinum is acting strange. It seems I can be using it and suddenly it will freeze for a second and then the monitor will blink once and then everything is as it was. It will do it randomly. If I remember correctly, it started after I upgraded from 1 gig to 2 gigs of RAM. I have run Memtest, Rightmark Memory Analyzer, 3DMark all extensively and have had not one RAM error. Does anybody else have any ideas??
I have 2 x 1gig OCZ Platinum 3200 RAM, Athlon64 3400+, Geforce 6800 Ultra, Audigy2zs, and Viomax 500watt PS.

You could have som bad connections in the molex connectors between PSU-mobo , PSU-gfx .
Connectors can build up galvanic corrosions specially between different metal in female/male plugs.
Cleaning the connectors and redo the connections might help .
Could also be software/drivers/irq etc.
Try loading the system e.g with a live linux cd like knoppix or something.
If it works well there , you know its a software problem in your windows installation/software/drivers and not hw related.

Hyperlinks in spark RichEditableText issue!?!

I found a really annoying bug in RichEditableText control. Has anyone tried to set a fixed width and textAlign to "center" or "right" (actually anything other then "left") while the text control contains a hyperlink? If you try this you will notice that you cant click on the hyperlink as expected...very strange behavior and its causing headache. Has anyone a solution?

There is a tlf_internal function you can use to do this. If you can get the textFlow (I think this is the RichEditableText.content), you can call:

HP Elitebook 8460p screen flicker & blinks issue and upgrade help.

I have a problem with my Elitebook 8460p. My old servant service me since 3 years. We have an good relation with highes and lows. Changed hdd, upgraded rams, monthly cleaning and etc.
Anyway; I have a problem with flickers and blinkings. When i push the start (On/Off) the computer, some strange black lines appear and never gone. The funny part is that the black lines, blinkings/flickers gone crazy when i touch the touchpad. But if i didnt touch the touchpad the black lines comes less.
Things i did;
Checked electrical parts - No electrical leakage (Checked with ohmmeter)
I tried to run with on AC and on Battery - Nothing changed.
I was disabled ambient light sensor - Nothing changed.
I was disabled touchpad - Nothing changed.
Formatted, update the BIOS to latest version, w7 up to date, No unknown device, performed stress test CPU & GPU, performed reassemble & assemble Nothing changed.
My suspicion;
The CPU Because this computer VGA card integrated with CPU. Changing CPU, maybe fixing all problems.
I want upgrade my computer to i7 and my choice : Intel Core i7 - 2670QM.
My reservation / questions;
Is Intel Core i7 - 2670QM CPU compatible with my QM67 Chipset? If compatible; what i need to do? (BIOS update, or different BIOS version etc.)
I have some information about this situation and my notebook.

Java JTable Screen Blink Problem.

Dear All,
I am facing Screen blink issue while using the JTable.
JTable is updated in real Time, It uses custom table model.
To update the JTable, I update the Table Model and then call the UpdateUI() and repaint(). These update process is running in non-AWTevent-dispatch thread. So, During the real Time Update of the Table, When we do some rough handling work on the Table( for example, press the Enter Key on the Table for 1-2 minutes, move the Scroll Bar up and down fastly etc), It throws the following exception and the Table starts blinking.

The blinking also moves to Other Components such as JTree which is doing real time update in another screen of the Same Application.
How to resolve this Screen Blinking Phenemenon ? Some suggested to use SwingUtilities.invokeLater() for UpdateUI(). But, I am concerned about the performance, using it in real time update as it may create many threads, it may cause other performance issues. Is other any other better solution ?

To update the JTable, I update the Table Model and then call the UpdateUI() and repaint(). No need to call updateUI() (I'd like to shot the person in the forum who keeps suggesting that and shot the people who keep using the method without reading the API to see what it actually does) or repaint(). You simply update the TableModel and the table will repaint itself.

Nvidia GeForce 9400M makes my MacBook Pro screen blinks

I am using a Macbook Pro 2.4MHz Intel Core 2 Duo, 4GB 1067MHz DDR3.
That's the one with the Nvidia GeForce 9400M and the Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT.
Using the Nvidia GeForce 9400M, as my default video card, seems to make my screen blinks. That is random.
Apple's Hardware Test show no problems.
When I am using the Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT the screen blinks stops.
I am sure that all started after updating to Mac OS X Snow Leopard. I am currently running Mac OS X 10.6.5.
Is this a software problem or there is a problem with the Nvidia GeForce 9400M chip?
Does any is experiencing the same problem?
+the problem withe the screen blinking is quite old. I am mostly using my Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT as my default video card with no problem at all, but I want to be able to use my Nvidia GeForce 9400M because of the better battery life.

I'm certainly not going to shell out for a replacement motherboard out of pocket. I now use the 9600 graphics exclusively and can almost watch my battery drop by the minute.
On a side note I'm not very impressed with the quality control Apple has had with their portables in the last few years. I bought this unit refurbished and it took two units to get one that worked properly, and even then this one never did as it's had this video blinking issue since day one. The problem is I didn't really notice it until recently when I started using it running more often on battery and decided to use the mobile chipset to save battery time. This is the third MBP I've had and their 3rd MBP that's had motherboard issues.
When it comes time to replace this one I'm seriously considering going with a macbook air or something else. Can't justify spending the money on more MBP's with such terrible track records.

My macbook pro screen blinks every 10 seconds

Is there any solution for a blinking screen?
Seems to be blinking about every 10 seconds, makes it very had to compose an email as when it blinks i will lose my typing ability.
I think it started around the time of the last OS upgrade.
Has anyone else experianced this problem?

Toshiba plasma 42hp95 blinking red light

The TV would not turn on. I did some research on google and came IP with a bad digital siene board. I disconnected the PJ63 connector and now the TV works fine. Is there any way to get this part replaced through Toshiba. Also is it safe to run the TV with this disconnected?

I did a bunch of searching and found the Master thread for Panasonic plasma not turning on on the AV Science Forums.
The 10 blink issue is caused by an incompatibility between some video cards and the HDMI inputs on the back of the tvs.
The front panel HDMI input has additional circuitry designed to handle pcs and game systems, so it will work.
Panasonic may send out this part if you ask them nicely. It buffers the signal and according to the AVS thread above, solves this issue.
For now, leave the HTPC/mini/macbook unplugged until after turning the TV on, and/or unplug it before turning it off. Hold down the power button for ~10 seconds to reset the tv if it gets into this state.
Note this only applies to the 10-blink issue with connected HTPCs. Other blink patterns are related to other problems - see the AVS thread above.

When the light blinks orange??????

What does it mean when I plug in my ipod shuffle to the USB Port, and the light repeatedly blinks orange?

I'm posting this so that some folks might be able to figure out the Orange Blinking issue, Orange and Green Blinking issue, or iPod Shuffle won't play issues. I had the first generation Shuffle and all of a sudden (it seemed) it would only play one or two songs even though I saw muliple songs listed in iTunes. I did the 5 Rs many times and nothing really worked. I thought I had just dropped the thing or damaged it so I bought the second gen shuffle. Well, the same thing happened so I figured it had to be something with my computer (I had downloaded the latest iTunes software). Lo and behold, since I was using a work laptop, they had installed encryption software between the time my shuffle worked and when it starting acting up. Apparently, the Credant Encryption software was encrypting the songs during the copy process out to the USB port. It seems like it should of dawned on me prior to all the work I put into it but I figured if it happened to me it might happen to someone else. Good luck!!

Caps lock blinking

I have a g6 laptop that the caps lock light is blinking once then pauses and keeps doing that and does not boot. I have tested hard drive and it works on another laptop. And i have looked at the page that shows the blinking issues, the one blink is cpu, which i swaped out and it still does not boot. Not sure what else to check. If any one has any ideas that would be great.

I am sorry to hear about this issue.
Yes, you are correct. This blinking code could mean a Processor (CPU) failure. But before we confirm that, lets try performing a Hard Reset to make sure that it is not residual static which is causing this issue.
Please try a Hard Reset as follows.
Shut down the notebook, unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery. Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds. Re-insert the battery, plug in the AC Adapter and start the notebook.
If the above step fails to start the Notebook properly and if you are still getting the same blinking error code, it confirms a CPU failure.
Good to know that you have checked and verified the Hard Drive. Did you really mean that you had changed the CPU too and it did not work? If that is the case, there is nothing else that could be done other than to contact HP and send the Notebook in for a repair so that a detail check on the Motherboard could be done to identify and fix the issue.

Apple stores to have a way to bypass the lock screen - No data privacy involved here! I own the phone and I know the password, just can't type in!

Again, I think you are mistaking 2 things:
1- Backup issue = hard drive related.
2- Lock screen issue = screen / OS related.
So yes, of course if I had backed up everything since day 1, and every single minute that won't be an issue...
HOWEVER, the issue here is that issue 1 and issue 2 are interconnected, where they SHOULDN'T!
Again, if I had broken my iPhone HD, that would be my fault, fine.
But here I am being told that my HD will be erased because having 2-, I cannot access 1...
It's liek having bought a car with electornic keys that after 4 weeks don't work and you're being told that to get back your wallet that is inside... well it's not possible because they have to destroy the car !
So now put it in any way you want, my self being in the IT area for some time, I can ensure you there's an issue with the design of this stuff.
Any case, I don't get the goal of your answer. The thread is to make things improve and the only thing you say is it's your fault without thinking much... nothing else to do in your spear time? ;-)

Firefox Blink or Quick Screen Flash

On common websites such as Facebook and Yahoo! (for example) and many other not so common ones the Firefox browser window will flash or blink briefly. At least for me this happens quite frequently, while performing what I would consider to be pretty basic, normal browsing activities. I might have perhaps anywhere from to 3 - 15 tabs open with no video, no animation, with pretty basic text and pictures.
The blink or flash is almost like a popup window was trying to load but failed to appear although there is no notice of any kind. This is not a repetitive blinking but is more of a very quick flash or screen blink. It is not the monitor. It only seems to only happen once or twice and then will take a bit of a "break", perhaps a few seconds to a few minutes then it will happen again or it may not. For some reason it does seem to happen the most frequently on Facebook but it is not limited to Facebook.
I am currently on build 28.0 of Firefox and Firefox says it is currently up to date. Under Tools > Advanced > General Browsing > Use hardware acceleration when available; is currently unchecked. I have searched through the other threads that have dealt with other “blinking issues” and have tried the solutions there to no avail. I have gone through 'safe mode' and a restart and it has not seemed to work. If it matters I am currently using Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit. I do use Norton 360 as well.
This issue has only appeared possibly with in the last three builds or so and has not ever happened ever before. Does anyone have any suggestions or a fix suggestion? I really dislike Chrome, but may have to switch as this is getting pretty annoying.

Moses, I think perhaps we "might" be on to something. I did run all the pieces of software you suggested, except for the last one as that one required some sort of registration. I figured by the time I did partial and complete scans with all the others I was possibly fairly safe to skip the last one.
I know each user and issue can be slightly different, but I will share my results and my processes in an effort that it may help someone else.
Microsoft Safety Scanner - the Quick Scan Turned up No Results. However a Full System Scan after 2 1/2 hours and 2.5 Million files later turned up 2 files one of which seemed to be automatically cleaned and the other is what ''may'' be the culprit is called ''''Exploit:Win32/APSB08-11.gen!A''''
The software automatically removed the Malware. By clicking on the file you can get a report about the file and what it does. This file evidently effects Adobe Flash software. After the removal I made sure I updated the Adobe Flash software like Microsoft suggested.
The other pieces of software that you recommended MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware, TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility, Hitman Pro, ESET Online Scanner fortunately yielded nothing but a few tracking cookies and an old pesky 'Ask Toolbar' that will not seem to go away. All of which I was able delete.
I will let you know if the problem persists or if this as I suspect may have solved the issue.
Interesting how you think are protected by scanning and updating definitions everyday but still something can still get by.
