Split msg w/o BPM for HTTP Possible?
I have the following scenario: JDBC>XI>HTTP. I will be receiving a message containing multiple records. I want to split the message up based on a field value. Thus, it's a 1 to n mapping. I don't want to use BPM. Is this possible given my understanding that the split happens in the adapter engine. Since HTTP is not adapter engine, will this work or am I mandated to use BPM?

1) you need to have multiple messages out of one message.
2)Or your input has mulitple records under one message, and you need to process the same ? If it is second case, then no need of having 1:N mapping

Usually Application Level Acknowledgement is considered during Sync communication. If you are using RFC, you can make use of Sync communication. So you can handle it without bpm, provided your both sender and receiver are sync interfaces.

you can not dirrectly access the content of the ACK, however the BPM shows different behaviours based on the ACK status. E.g. if the ACK contains a success message the BPM will continue in its normal process, if the ACK contains a permanent error, it will either stop or go through an exception branch (provided such a branch has been defined). The trickiest part is always to find out, when you will get a transient vs. as permanent error ack. is it 4 rows or 4 msgs..?? i hope , if 4 rows then it is merge , or it is split.
Create the target structure as you required.Use the MM and IM to do accordingly, you can do without BPM.

Async-Sync Bridge without BPM for SOAP WS and JDBC
I heard you can now have async-sync communication outside of BPM by utilizing adapter modules?
My scenarios are:
proxy (async) -> SOAP WS (sync)
proxy (async) -> JDBC (sync)
I will like to capture the synchronous responses in XI and perform some basic error handling.
I read h[File - RFC - File without a BPM - Possible from SP 19.|File - RFC - File without a BPM - Possible from SP 19.] and the release notes for 2004s SP19 and there is no reference to JDBC or SOAP.

Do transport acknowledgement work for HTTP ?
hi all,
I'm posting an HTTP in a BPM scenario.I've put mode as transport in send step.
However in SXMB_moni its showing,ack not possible.
I've searched and it seems ack is possible for HTTP.
can anyone tell why i am getting the error?When you say you use the Transport ACK functionality of the BPM-Send step what you do is you ask for a ack status from the adapter Engine....but according to the functionality both IDOC and HTTP adapter do not use AE....so when you demand for an ACK for your HTTP send step you wont get it....why? the message does not pass through AE (can you see/ monitor it in RWB?).....So Transport Ack for send step in HTTP communication wont help you..
I just want to know that HTTP was posted successfully.
Is there a way to achieve that usign BPM (transport ack)?
Make the Send step in your BPM synchronous and put it in a block.....define an exception branch and put the logic that you want to implement if the send fails.....if successful then put a COntrol Step (Cancel Process) after the Sync Send.....
If you say to me implement the Transport Ack...then it will be my last option.....I am implementing the above method of checking success/ failure in my project (the adapter is SOAP)......

Need help: message split and send in BPM
i have this mapping where the idoc has to be split first before passing it to a BPM. the mapping should perform like this

I was successful in doing the 1st step of mapping requirement for the above transformation. The next step was to map per occurence of IDOC to another target message and send it (ex. above is 3 occurence of IDOC, so there should be 3 mapping and sending that should happen. My problem now is how to design the BPM for this. Any suggestions?

duplicate the subnode in the target message mapping (right click on the node and select dupliate subtree) and ten do the mapping...here u can go 4 this approach only if the number of number source segments (ie. sega, segb1, segb2, segb3) are constant....have read in coupe of threads that split mapping is not possible for idocs.....u may also need to check on it -
BPM for Weblogic configuration is failed
1, I install BPM for Weblogic.
2, I create a domain for weblogic using config tool and start it.
3, I create a new directory.

Configuration is failed - BPM for Weblogic 10.3.1
1, I install BPM for Weblogic.
2, I create a domain for weblogic using config tool and start it.
3, I create a new directory.
However, the configuration is failed.
The BPM for weblogic is installed in XP and the window of selecting JDK is not pop out.

I noticed this afternoon that Oracle's refering to Oracle WebLogic 10.3.1 as "Oracle WebLogic 11g".
Know this comes as no surprise to you, but when I tried to install Oracle BPM 10gR3 Enterprise on WebLogic 11g (WebLogic 10.3.1) this afternoon it failed. A friend pointed out to me that Oracle WebLogic 11g does not support the DataDirect JDBC driver. Since Oracle BPM Enterprise 10gR3 uses this driver to connect to both its Engine database and Directory Service databases, he's thinking this might be the cause of our problem.
It would be worth verifying this with Support. Here's what I think they'll point you to. The Oracle BPM 10gR3 release notes(http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E13154_01/bpm/docs65/relnotes/release_notes_OracleBPM10gR3.htm#N65589) indicate that the only WebLogic application servers supported are Oracle WebLogic 10.3 (10gR3), Oracle WebLogic 10.0 MP1.
Again, talk to Support, but I don't think there's a workaround. The only thing I think you can do is to uninstall WebLogic 10.3.1 and then install WebLogic 10.3 if you want to install Oracle BPM 10gR3 Enterprise on it.

when the XI send the http request to the target system, the format maybe like this:
header + body the body is including: Prolog, payload and Epilog
here is about the target system have a 'input' parameter(maybe string type)
is it possible to pass the 'head + body' these value(or maybe the whole http request message) into input
i mean is it possible to set the dynamic URL for http receiver adapter like this:
http://host:port/path?input=<the header and body>

I have to persist one field using BPM for synchonous.
Assume it as Empid. I am getting it from JMS and am sending to SOAP which is a synchornous interface.
While sending to SOAP, i am stripping it out and sending, along with the response received from SOAP, i need to re-assign the empid and send it to JMS.
As i know this can be achieved thru BPM, what are the steps i need to do, as i have not worked in BPM, it would be good to guide on this scenario.
Please give me the steps like how many send, receive, container, how to attach the data back while sending to JMS etc.,Hi Anandha,

The BPM field can be viewed, but it is almost always empty unless you have taken steps to populate it.
You can use a 3rd party tool to perform BPM detection and add it to your iTunes database:

i have a proc that uses utl_http code I have seen all over on web sites for 'POST'ing to a REST web service ..... i use utl_http.write_text to write data to the request body but no data gets written ...... below are the code segments I use

I´ve searched, but i haven´t got anything. I also created the Device on DOE Administrator and I configured the DOE following SAP Help (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nwmobile71/helpdata/en/45/17a790d8000064e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm)
I thought that the problem could be role, but i set all possible DOE roles to the user. I´m trying synchronize with the same password that I log in DOE.
