Standard Manager Not Picking Up Request

Hi ,
Standard Manager is not picking up the requests.All the request remains in Pending Normal State. If I exclude the same request and assign it to another Manager , It is running successfully.

Any Idea I tried Increasing the Processes. Teminated all the requests through backend.
Nothing is there in ICM Log File and Standard Manager File
EBS is R12.1.3
OS : AIX
DB : 11gR2

Hi Sourabh,
After Running the Autoconfig and bouncing CM , it works.Good to hear that.
Any Specific reason issue only get resolved after Autoconfig On Apps Tier ? Since I Have run CMCLEAN.sql and Link the FND Libraries Yesterday .Not really as no errors are reported in the CM log file.
Running AutoConfig and cmclean.sql would resolve CM issues in most cases if no errors are reported in the CM/Database log files.
Thanks,
Hussein

  • Concurrent Manager not processing the requests

    Dear friends,
    We are facing a serious issue with our production instance since morning.
    The concurrent managers are not processing the requests. As its month closing, a lot of requests are being piled up in the Standard Manager's queue.
    The Standard Manager is up. We have verified that by the processes at OS and Concurrent Manager Administer form as well.
    The Conc Manager Admin form shows:
    Actual process: 50
    Target Process 50:
    Running Requests: 50
    Pending Requests: 304
    However, when we check from Concurrent Requests form by selecting Status=Normal, Phase=Running, its showing only 6 requests as running and rest all in pending phase.
    These requests are running for long and no other requests seem to being picked up by the CM.
    an urgent help is required as its production environment and all the users are complaining.
    Thanks.

    Its R12.1.1 Apps with 11.1.0.7 DB
    We have found the issue. In the Concurrent Manager Administer form, when we clicked on the Requests Button, it shows a lot of the following requests:
    Check Event Alert - ALECTC
    This request is not shown in Concurrent Requests form.
    We found that the Alert mails were not being sent. At OS level, we found 50 ALECTC OS processes were running.
    We killed those and immediately Standard Manager started picking up the pending requests.
    I am not yet sure of ALECTC processes. Can someone explain ???
    Thanks.

  • Oracle  Standard Manager Max No.Of Requests in Running Status

    Hi,
    We have a Batch Process program to Kick the Concurrent Programs from the Back-End. Based on the data, there are some programs which kicks more than once. Our issue is while kicking the programs, it kicks the same program multiple times at a time which is causing the problem. We have settings of 40 concurrent programs running at a time, can we know what is the best count to keep in order to solve this problem
    Are do we have any alternate way to make that possible.
    Please Explain...........
    Thanks in Advance

    So due to connections overflow, we are getting the programs errored out.Please suggest the error message.
    So can u suggest, what is the Maximum No.Of Request can ran with Standard Manager?.It depend on memory availability on your concurrent manager server. Read below metalink note to tune Concurrent manager processes as per your need:-
    A Holistic Approach to Performance Tuning Oracle Applications Systems [ID 69565.1]
    And is there any way to create another Concurrent Manager, which can share the requests when the standard manager is overflowed. I am not aware of any method where in standard manager work can be diverted to some other manager once it gets overflowed other then PCP but for that you need to impleemnt CM tier on additional node. Please see below note for more:-
    How to Setup and Test Failover of PCP on Non-RAC Environments. [ID 743716.1]
    Apart from it you can create custom concurrent managers and assign it to custom request to be run under it, by this way you can reduce load on standard manager. See below discussion on custom manager:-

  • Standard Manager not starting.

    Hi Gurus,
    On EBS 11i (11.5.10.2) with DB 10.2.0.4 node having CM service and all other apps services running on seperate node. The Internal Manager is running fine with Actual and Target 1 , but the standard managers are showing actaul 0 , target 20 and pending 60 plus.
    I ran the cmclean many times also after shutdown the CM but same issue. We have defined some custom managers which are running fine. Only standard manager is having issue. This instance was recently cloned and source was not having any kind of issue. Please help me to resovle the issue.

  • Profile Manager - Not Found  The requested URL /wiki was not found on this server.

    I have installed Lion Server with Web and Profile Manager services. When I log into the profile manager web page I receive the message "Not Found  The requested URL /wiki was not found on this server."  I followed the guide here for install http://krypted.com/iphone/setting-up-profile-manager-in-lion-server/.

    This was the fixed I found
    Fixing profile manager has been solved by someone else:
    1.  Turn off all services under Server app.
    2.  Under Hardware, settings, change SSL certificate to "none"
    3.  Under Hardware, network, reset host name again.
    4.  Under Hardware, settings, change SSL certificate back to correct one
    5.  Turn Web service ON.
    It may still say /var/empty.
    6.  Turn Wiki service ON
    7.  Recheck Web service.  It should be changed to /Library/Server/Web/Data/Sites/Default.

  • Standard Manager is not working in Oracle Ebusiness Suite 11i

    Hi,
    Can anyone help me ...
    Standard Manager is not picking up any requests in Oracle Ebusiness Suite 11i while other managers are picking up their requests and running it fine.
    Regards
    Ketan.

    Hi Hussein,
    I have tried bouncing CM, Cmclean was also executed, but still the same issue exists.
    One more thing which i have identified is when i include some concurrent request to Standard Manager , then that request is picked up by standard manager and it is running fine.
    But this can be a workaround to the issue. We cannot simply keep on including concurrent request to Standard Manager.
    So we are looking for a solution where Standard Manager should automatically pick up the request and run it fine. Which it was doing it earlier.

  • The Output Post-processor is running but has not picked up this request

    Hi
    We are getting the following error when running an XML Publisher report in 11.5.10
    The Output Post-processor is running but has not picked up this request.
    We have checked that the SQL query in the data template works fine. Also, the XML output if we remove the template looks fine. The XML data and template also work fine when merged manually in MS WORD, and also if we create a Java class and run the XDO classes explicitly.
    In Manage Concurrent Managers, the OPP seems to be running fine.
    How can we debug this issue in an acceptance test environment without sysadmin access?
    The problem does not occur in other enviroments.
    I think this is not the error described in MetaLink Note 352518.1. This is the ONLY XML Publisher report in the system, so the OPP cannot be busy with other reports, and it is not giving the processing timeout error message (so case 2 is out of question).

    You can change the logging level of the OPP to statement to see more detail in the log file
    (One problem we have is if you are running of a shared APPL-TOP environement where the conc manager job has to run on the physical node)

  • Standard Manager executing other programs which are not INCLUDED .

    hello guys,
    We are having eBiz 11.5.9 environment and 9.2.0.6 Database on AIX 5.3 32-bit environment.
    I am new to this client's environment and found that, there are 3 include specialization rules defined for Standard Manager which does not include "Active Responsibilities" program but still this Standard Manager is executing "Active Responsibilities" without any issues.
    How is this possible ???
    Ideally, Standard Manager should only run those 3 included programs ONLY and for rest of the programs which are not assigned to any of the concurrent manager , we should get "INACTIVE/No Manager" message.
    My 2nd question is, when I am running this oracle seeded script $FND_TOP/sql/afrqscm.sql which shows the manager assigned to the perticular request id, it gives the below output,(Below is request id is for "Active Responsibilities")
    ===================================
    SQL> @afrqscm.sql
    Enter request ID : 22035368
    Request 22035368 can be run by the following concurrent managers:
    Running Manager
    20 STANDARD
    0 ALTS
    Below are the active concurrent manager log filenames:
    no rows selected
    ===================================
    In our environment , ALTS is DISABLED manager without having any specialization rules attached to it and its basically a "Backup standard manager".
    I am wondering, what setup is required to have backup concurrent manager like ALTS which will take care of requests in case standard manager goes down ?????
    Ebiz architecture is one Admin/conc/db Tier (Aix 32 bit) and 5 Web nodes ( RHEL Linux 32 bit).
    Thanks,
    Prasad

    Hi Hussein,
    Thnks for your reply,
    My second doubt is resolved as even though there are no specialization rules assigned to ALTS manager , that means it is exactly the same as that of Standard Manager and will execute all the programs. Below is statement from your mentioned pdf ,
    =========
    Specialize your manager to run only certain kinds of requests. Without specialization rules, a manager accepts requests to start any concurrent program.
    =========
    Regarding your first question, Yes , we do bounce managers once in a month , below is the status of those two conc programs which are INCLUDED in Standard Manager.
    SQL> select 'Concurrent program '||fcp.concurrent_program_name||' is ' ||decode(fcqc.include_flag,'I','included in ','E','excluded from ')||fcqv.user_concurrent_queue_name specialization_rule_details from fnd_concurrent_queues_vl fcqv,fnd_concurrent_queue_content fcqc,fnd_concurrent_programs fcp where fcqv.concurrent_queue_id=fcqc.concurrent_queue_id and fcqc.type_id=fcp.concurrent_program_id and fcp.concurrent_program_name='CPINR080C';
    SPECIALIZATION_RULE_DETAILS
    Concurrent program CPINR080C is included in Standard Manager
    Concurrent program CPINR080C is excluded from TESTPlus General
    SQL> select 'Concurrent program '||fcp.concurrent_program_name||' is ' ||decode(fcqc.include_flag,'I','included in ','E','excluded from ')||fcqv.user_concurrent_queue_name specialization_rule_details from fnd_concurrent_queues_vl fcqv,fnd_concurrent_queue_content fcqc,fnd_concurrent_programs fcp where fcqv.concurrent_queue_id=fcqc.concurrent_queue_id and fcqc.type_id=fcp.concurrent_program_id and fcp.concurrent_program_name='CPDOR270C';
    SPECIALIZATION_RULE_DETAILS
    Concurrent program CPDOR270C is excluded from TESTPlus General
    Concurrent program CPDOR270C is included in Standard Manager

  • Admin password works within admin account, not in standard/managed account

    My admin username and password work within my admin account but when I try to use them to override changes in my wife's or my daughter's standard / managed accounts it does not work. If I want to allow the application firewall or to change parental controls there is a request for an admin password. I know that the username and password are correct and the account has not been made a standard account by upgrading. I have read the other threads about the problems found by some users in 10.5 but this is different as it is definitely still an admin account, it just seems as if it not recognised as such outside the admin account itself.
    Hope my description of this makes sense to someone. Any help would be appreciated.

    Are your wife's or daughter's accounts using keyboard layouts that might be remapping some of the characters to a different key? Are any of these characters in the admin password?
    Also, you should be using the "short" user name of the admin account when authenticating. Normally the short user name has no capital letters in it. Check the short user name in System Preferences -> Accounts.
    Suggestion: Create a fourth account, make it an admin account, and then remove admin rights from your own user account. Unnecessarily running all the time as admin is bad security practice. Apple recommends only logging in to the admin account to do admin tasks, and doing all of your day-to-day work in a non-admin account.

  • Custom Manage Property does not pick up the value from mapping crawl property

    Hi All,
    I have created a custom list with the column name that's called "category".
    Then I ran full crawl and I saw the "ows_category" crawl property is created.
    Then I create the manage property names as "Category" and map with the "ows_category" and run the full crawl again. (Retrivable, Searchable, Refinable options are checked)
    After full crawl, I searched Category:keyword but it returned 0 result.
    But when I search keyword, that list item is retuned
    I tried to debug with the spsearch2013 tool and there is no "Category" manage property in the return XML.
    It seems the Manage Property does not pick up value from the crawl property. (Something might be wrong with the index schema)
    Do you have any suggestion?
    Do I need to reset the index?
    Best Regards,
    Andy

    Hi Andy,
    When you search ‘category’ in crawled properties(Central Administration->Search Service Application->Search Schema), you will see ows_Category is mapped to DiscussionCategory, like the screenshot:
    So, I suggest you create a new column using another name, then test again, compare the result.

  • CUP- Request not picking approvers from BRF+ - 10.0

    Hi,
    We are on SP7 - GRC 10.0
    We created the BRF+ conditions with business process and given user id as the Agent condition for approver. MSMP workflow was created with the above agent.
    When we create a request it is getting successfully created but not appearing in the workinbox of Approver. We checked the Instant status and there it shows the path and the stage where it is but the Approvers column as blank.
    We used the same conditions in SP 5 and no issues were identified. After upgrade to SP7 we are facing the issue.
    Is there anything which is missed in settings?
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Srihari.K

    Hi Nikita & Joshita,
    Further to above
    We replicated the same scenario in our sandbox environment and it worked fine. But when it comes to Dev system its not working.
    I observed the following difference in Agent Decision table from Sandbox & Dev
    Sandbox:
    Result Data Object
    - Return all matches found
    - Return an initial value if no match is found
    - Return an exception if partial match is found
    - Seggregate the result data object into its constituent elements
    1) & 4) are checked and Result Data Object : GRFN_MW_T_AGENT  [All these were taken by default]
    Dev:
    - Return all matches found
    - Return an initial value if no match is found
    - Return an exception if partial match is found
    2) is checked and Result Data OBject : Result-Agent Rule
    How these differences when both are on same SP 7. Is there any thing wrong in the above setting which needs to be corrected. Where the agent rule is not picking up the approvers ?
    Thanks and Best Regards,

  • Pending requests in the Standard Manager queue

    We are currently facing a situation in one of our Oracle EBS R12 instances, the current number of Standard Manager processes is set to 20, cache size 20 and sleep time 15 . We frequently observe that the concurrent requests get queued up in the Standard Manager queue (Concurrent->Manager->Administer).We have observed that the request queue gets cleared out when we temporarily increase the Standard Manager process to 30/40.But, the issue occurs again after some time, when we reset Standard manager process to 20.
    Any help in this regard will be highly helpful.

  • Import Standard Purchase Order not picking data when submitted from backend

    Hi,
    As part of my code, I am inserting Purchase order information in the interface tables with process_code = 'PENDING'. Then using fnd_request , i am triggering the Standard Program for importing these Purchase Orders. The standard program is getting triggered and completing normally. But it is not picking any records. I am calling the program as follows:-
                  -- Setting the org_id so that the import program will run for that particular org_id.
                  fnd_request.set_org_id(r_org_id.org_id);
                   -- Submit the Import Standard Purchase Orders by calling the standard program for respective org_id
                  l_req_id := FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST(application  => 'PO'
                                ,program      => 'POXPOPDOI'
                                ,description  => 'Import Standard Purchase Orders'

                                ,argument10  => NULL
                  COMMIT;
    When I am submitting this same program from front end, for the same set of records using the same set of parameters, the records are getting picked.
    Any suggestions for this?
