Standard message type limitation on company code

Hi all,
currently I'm implementing ale distribution with the standard message type
FIDCC1, i'm filling idocs in my source code and run function master_idoc_distribute
now i need to set up a distribution model, but when i do so, the transactions to make
documents complains that for certain company codes there is no global company code
although those codes aren't used for the distribution. Is there a way/place where i
can limit the use to certain company codes, without having to make global cc for
all the companies in the system?
or do i need something else then a distribution model to send the idocs?
grtz,
Koen

you will get good answer if you post it in ABAP forum.

    Dear All,
I am using Standard Message Type - STTPOD with Process Code as - OPOD and Basic Type as - DELVRY03
I am creating a New "Z" Segment Copy of "E1EDL20"
I want to Add in one FIELD
EKPO - ELIKZ which is Delivery Complete INDICATOR
How can i fetch data when the IDOC is generated and to take the value from this FIELD.
Is there any Userexit or BADI
This we are doing so as we can pass message to SNC for GR Done and Completed
    Regards
    Amey Kulkarni

    Hi Amey,
As you are using Standard Message Type - STTPOD with Process Code as - OPOD and Basic Type as - DELVRY03
There is no need create Z-field or any implementation of Userexit or BADI for GR updation in SNC.
In SNC for updating PO GR status you need to maintain below validation settings:
    TCode:SPRO>Supply Network Collaboration>Basic Settings>Validation>Own Settings-->Maintain Settings in Validation Profiles
    Validation profile=POC1
    Validation check=PO_OPENQUAN_FROM_ASNGRQUAN
    Check status=Inactive
    Validation profile=POC1
    Validation check=PO_OPENQUAN_FROM_ASNQUAN Inactive
    Check status=Inactive
    Validation profile=POC1
    Validation check=PO_OPENQUAN_FROM_POGRQUAN
    Check status=Active
    save the setting.

  • Exchange Rate type Assignment to Company Code

    Hi,
I'm working on the implementation of a new company code on a SAP R/3 4.6c release. I've created a new exchange rate type EURH (with transaction OC47) and I would like to know hot to assign it to my new Company Code.
Is there a specifc standard transaction? Could you please suggest me a possible solution.
    Thanks!

    Hi
Exchange rate type you cannot assign to a company code. Where as you can specify explicitly while document entry.
By default in SAP for a new company code system will use 'M' rate as standard. If you want to replce this exachange rate type with your new exchange rate type then goto SPRO --> General Settings --> Currencies --> Define transilation ratios for currency translation
Maintain new exchange rate type as Alt.ERT against 'M' rate then system will take new exchange rate instead of 'M' rate. Otherwise as I said earlier, you can use created exchange rate type in any company code by specifying in document entry or payment program, or  you even can assign ex.rate type to a Document type, etc.,
    Hope above helps.

  • FI Number Range Number by Document Type -- different by company code

In transaction <b>OBA7</b>, I assign a <b>number range number</b> (T003-NUMKR) to each FI Document Type.
We have over 40 company codes on SAP.  One of those 40 company codes requires sequential numbering of FI documents for the whole company code across all document types.  The other company codes require different FI number ranges based upon document type.
I need to identify a solution where I can assign a different <b>number range number</b> by document type for different company codes.
For instance, company code IT01 should use a single <b>number range number</b> for all FI documents -- i.e. RV, SA, AB, etc. Then, all other company codes should use a different <b>number range number</b> for each document type.
Any ideas here?  My problem company code is in Italy where our accountants tell us all FI Documents must be sequential, without gaps.

    Hi Colin,
The point is that it is about journal<b>s</b>
Sales Journal = Doc type RV
Cash Sales Journal = Doc Type DR or have RV&DR use the same number range.
For clearing you will have to create new doc types eg.
                        AB = GL Clearing
                        KB = Creditor clearing
                        DB = Debitor clearing
The existing companies will also have to use these since these defaults are set in customising, but you have clearly defined Journals that comply with the requirements
It is probable that you will need additional doc types,to ensure compliance. In my case all creditor invoices used Doc type KR/KG (SAP Standard and they use the same number range), for the Italian company i then had:-
                     KR/KG = Domestic Purchase Journal
New Doc Type = EU Purchase Journal
         etc.
    Kind regards

  • In which table cound i find the info on EDI standard Message type??

    Example
EDI standard Message type Business process
    EDIFACT ORDERS Purchase order
                   INVOIC Invoice
    ANSI X12  850 Purchase order
                    810 Invoice
Like those 850..810..etc info, i dont know from which table could i find the related info?
    Thanks.

    Hi Hoo,
Electronic Data Interchange (or EDI) refers to the use of computers in formatting and exchanging business information using internationally recognized standards and formats. Standards organizations throughout the world have defined hundreds of document types to create a universal language for companies to conduct business while using dissimilar systems and processes. Common business documents, such as the invoice, purchase order, production planning schedule, ship manifest, and customs declaration, have been standardized and are sent and received electronically over private secure networks (Value-Added Networks - VANs) and the Internet.
So EDI is not an SAP product, It is a method to exchange the data over internet.
You dont get any information in any table in SAP. SAP supports EDI to exchange the data over internet. There are no. of third party EDI tools to connect to SAP.
following is link to know more about EDI message types.

  • Default Value for Order Type based on Company Code  in ME21N

    Hi,
Using ME21N, I want to make the PO type defaulted to a certain company code, say for instance Company code  XYZ should have a PO type XYZ Purchase Order, ..company ABC should have a PO type ABC Purchase Order, and so on...I'm just puzzled how to implement it. I know that we can set a Default value for PO Headers in Personal Settings but its doesnt give the result I want coz it will only have one Default Value. What I wanted is when a certain company code is chosen, automatically, the corresponding PO type for that Company code will be displayed in the Order Type drop-down menu (so there's no need to choose on the drop down list what Order type) Is this possible in ABAP? Hope i made myself clear.
        Thanks in Advance.

Use BADI IF IF_EX_ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST - method OPEN
View the interface documentation in transaction SE19 and you will see the method OPEN can be used :
    2. Opening of a purchase order (OPEN method)
The system opens a new document to create, change or display a purchase order. With the OPEN method,
<b>you can import your own data and prepare it for further processing.</b>
This is available in 4.7 Enterprise but not sure how far back.....
    hope this helps
    Colin.

  • Standard Message Type Missing in XI!!!

    Hi,
We have installed XI server and its working fine.
when we try to execute the Idoc scenario, in import parameter details, we have given only the XI Server details which we have installed.
When we try to import the IDOC ,the Standard IDOC's like CREMAS MATMAS ARTMAS DEBMAS are not shown.
    i just want to know..
1)Is this standard Message type will be present only in R/3 system?
    2) In case, if we want to configure for these standard message types, what are the steps to be followed in XI server?
    waiting for the reply..
    regards,
    Sujata

    hi shabarish,

  • Standard message type to transfer data for transportation planning

    Hi,
We would like to develop a interface that would transfer the following data from SAP to another system (called Vista).
"(Past) Receivings and requirements shall be considered in the transportation planning. Transfer the requirement information from the ERP system to Vista for the transportation planning."
Is there any standard message type (or any other std solution) in SAP that can transfer this data from SAP to legacy system(Vista)?
In general how does one identify for any given requirement, if there exists a standard message type (standard solution) of transffering data from or to an SAP system
    Thanks in advance.

  • IDOC - Message FIDCCP1 - Error reading company code

    Hi all,
I am trying to create a FI document using an IDOC type FIDCCP01. Everything seems to be OK, but always my IDOC gets status 51 and message:
    Error reading company code
    Message no. F1309
I am sure that I am using the correct company code, I actually created a document manually and I am using the same data from it into my IDOC. I put the correct company code in every field where company code is required, still not working.
Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I believe you are filling the company code in the field E1FIKPF-BUKRS, if you are filling the company code in that field that field is 6 characters length and the actual company code is 4 characters in length.
Are you using the function module IDOC_INPUT_FIDCC1 for posting the idoc.
Put a break point in the below location
        IF X-SEND_C1 = '2'.                "vorerfaßten Beleg buchen
          PERFORM IDOC_VERARBEITEN_VORERF_BELEG  USING K_MESTYP_C1.
and then debug, you will understand the problem.
Error is being thrown in the below perform.
            PERFORM LESEN_T001_KTOPL USING E1FIKPF-BUKRS. "KTOPL_NACH lesen
    FORM LESEN_T001_KTOPL USING LTK_BUKRS.
      SELECT SINGLE * FROM T001
                    WHERE BUKRS = LTK_BUKRS.
      CHECK NOT SY-SUBRC IS INITIAL.
      PERFORM IDOC_STATUS_FUELLEN USING 'E'
                                        'F1'
                                        '309'
                                        LTK_BUKRS
    ENDFORM.                    "LESEN_T001_KTOPL
Check the above things in debug mode and then you will understand the problem correclty and let me know, so that i can help you.

  • Tax code optional in document type for one company code

    Hello experts,
Is it possible to make tax code optional in a document type only for one company code.  If yes kindly explain me the process in detail.
    Regards,
    P.Krishna Chaitanya.

    Hi
If I understand your requirement correctly  that for a particular document type, the line item should not contain a tax code, while for other Document Types, it should have a tax code. Note, the logic for making tax code optional/mandatory is made through the field tax category in the GL Master and not through the field status. further Build in a validation rule, using a logic as follow:
    BKPF-BLART IN "SET NAME"
    Check BSEG-MSKWZ<> ' '
    Set an Error message
You can also create a subsitituion rule for populating tax code with a blank value if a particular doc type is used.
    BKPF-BLART in 'SET NAME"
    Substitute BSEG-MSKWZ= ' '
You may need to allow tax code as a field to be substituted in the maintainence view of table GB01 using T Code SM30 for boolean class 9

  • Multiple dispute case types for one company code

    Hi Experts
I am trying to design a solution for external system interfacing with SAP FSCM. Requirement is to create dispute cases for short pays automatically using program FDM_AUTO_CREATE (which is normal standard SAP process). We are also creating complaints in third party system based out of our data from SAP. When these are getting created in third party, we need to interface back into SAP and create Dispute (against compalint created in third party). I am thinking of using program FDM_AUTO_CREATE to create disputes based on company code/document number/fiscal year/line item etc.
To differentiate between disputes and complaints i am proposing to create new case type (other than dispute case type) and have its own number range assigned to it, so that it can be easily recognised in SAP. But as per standard SAP setting one company code can have only one default case type assigned to it and whenever i create cases using FDM_AUTO_CREATE, system always picks up only one case type.
Is there any standard setting so that system can create complaint cases in SAP with different case type (other than default dispute case type) while using auto create program?
    Thanks in advance
    Aleem

This is an common question when implementing SAP TCM for trade promotions where claims/ disputes go to CRM for approval.
We have overcome this by leaving the standard dispute case type in the default settings. We then activate a BAdI - FDM_AR_DEF_CASE_TYPE. We create a Z table that we linked to in the BAdI - that had company code and reason code - and put the additional case type in the table linked to a reason code. By adding a reason code (FI-AR) to the specific items, when you create the dispute it will call the BAdI and table and use the extra dispute case type as opposed to the standard one.

  • Document Type restirction by company code

    Hi All
We have a scenario where they are different companies with a group company and DMS is installed in all companies under single client
While defining Document types, one group company should not be able to view the Document type of another..
We can give authorisation based on Document types, but they dont even want to see the Doc, type name of the other company while using search option..
    How is the possible?
Can we differentiate Doc types by company code ?? so that only Doc types specific for one particular company only will be reflected while using F4 , Search option??
    Please suggest
    Regards
    Aby

    Hi,
There are many authorization objects like C_DRAW_TCD, C_DRAW_TCS, C_DRAW_STA & C_DRAW_DOK, which might be helpful in your case.

  • Different Document types under one company code

    Hi All,
I am working on a project where i have to implement SAP PS in 3 Company codes.
I have a requirement that Different number ranges should be used in different codes for creating PRs.
In OPTT,order category 20 is used with NB,here i can change 1 Document type.Is it possible in std SAP to create different Order cat for 20 and then we can link diff document types for diff order cat of type 20.
    Regards
    Muzamil

    Hi,
The assignment of the PR document type in Account assignment is only one is possible you cant assign multiple document type here.
The Automatic PR raised from the PS is only one assignment is possible,so you can inform your MM consultant to create the seperate document type say ex ZNB-- PR for the Project which is common for all the three company code & assign this with the PR assignment in account assignmet filed.

  • Standard Message type

    hi ,
i am working on creation of Zshipment idoc , which resembles the same as shipment05 idoc  but i have added some zsegments in the custom idoc . My question is whether i can continue using the standard messge type or shall i create an Zmessage type  . kindly suggest
    regards

    Hi Gurunath,
Just create an extension for your basic type SHPMNT05 in the tcode WE30 and just maintain that extension in the WE20 & WE82 transactions. Make sure that your process code populates the extra ZSEGMENTS which you have created. You can do this through some user exits available in the standard process code. After doing this when you generate the IDOC, you can see the Z segments in your IDOC.
Refer the below blog on how to create the extension using WE30 transaction.
