Steps for replacing a connector in GRC CUP and RAR

Hi All,  We have GRC 5.3 CUP and RAR installed and I would like to replace an existing connector PRD with one called PRD010.  Does anyone have the necessary steps to follow to perform this?  Your input is appreciated.

Hi Sudip,
Sorry I didn't clarify and thanks for responding.  This will be the same backend.  I want to change the connector name within the RAR and CUP config, etc.  I'm concerned about all the "tags" in the database tables pertaining to this connector name if you know what I mean.  It seems that when you make a change like this you end up with data in the database tagged with the old connector names which makes it difficult to clean out the old stuff unless maybe there is a proper sequence of steps to go thru.  Can it be just as simple as creating the new connector and then exporting and importing the rules with the new connector name?  Maybe I'm making this more difficult than it really is.
Regards,
Gary

  • Cannot find FF info in  ERM, CUP and RAR (GRC5.3)

I can only find FF info on the ABAP system txn  /VIRSA/VFAT.
But on the ERM, CUP and RAR (GRC5.3), I cannot find any info about FF.
Which menu path/tab should I go search?
    Thanks!

    Hi Crishty,
GRC AC contains four components RAR(CC),CUP(AE),ERM(RE) and SPM(FF).
These seperate component have four seperate URL, so you will not get FF in ERM,CUP & RAR.
Here are the URL to access these grc component,
    URL for RAR(CC)-

    URL for CUP(AE)-

    Hi,

    Hi Chetan,
I have the same issue when configuring connectors in CUP. I solved it in this way:
1- Go to RAR(Risk, Analysis and Remediation) --> Configuration --> Connector --> Search
2- Select one of the connectors and write down the values in the list box of the field JCO Destination.
3 - Now, go to CUP, and create the connector using the names writed down in step 2.
CUP will warn you with an error, ignore it,  and then save the connector.
Note: when creating the connector in CUP, fill the fields, then save/create(here you will have the error msg), then Test Connection, and then save again.
    That works for me!!!
PD: Always log in to GRC with the same language configured in CUP.
    Hope this works for you!!!

  • Steps for FM closing. we have BCS activated and annual and multiannual budg

    Hi,
We are in ECC 6.0, BCS is activated, PBET is activated, master data are year independant, the update profile is 101 and annual and multiannual budget coexist in harmony using fund type.
I am confused on the different steps to follow in order to close annual budget. For multiannual no necessary to have closing.
    Best regards
    Salvator

    Hi all,
Here my conclusions about Closing issues when you have in parallel annual budget and multiannual budget in ECC 6
Finally SAP is designed like this in ECC 6.
When you activate multiannual budget in BCS and you have PBET acivated and Budget profile 0101 you can manage in parallel annual and overall budget
    Conditions
    >BCS is activated
    >independant year master data  commitment and funds centers
    >create fund types  annual and multiannual and the field funf type has to be mandatory
    >in fund master data add the fund type
    >activa multiannual budget
    >activate PBET
    >in BCS availability  checking horizon  say that by default the checking horizon is multiannual
    >create a substitution checking horizon annual and fill the values fund type is annual
    example on multiannual budget
I have an investment budget on FMAA 2008-A/76432/510000 of 1000 EUR in 2008
In fund 2008-A i add fund type multiannual
In 2008 i create a funds commitment of 600 EUR and ain invoice of 400 EUR
in 2010 i can pay the invoice of 400 EUR without carryforward nothing
In 2011 i can have an invoice of 200 EUR referencing the funds commitment created in 2008 without any carryforward
    Example of annual budget
I have an operational annual budget on the FMAA 7000/70001/315000
In the fund master 7000 i have added the fund type annual
I create with FMBB an annual budget of 1000 EUR in 2008
It is impossible to create  a funds commitment in 2009. Logic
It is impossible to create an invoice in 2009. Logic
In 2008 i have a funds commitment of 700 EUR and an invoice of 500 EUR consuming the funds commitment.
I have another funds commitement of 300 EUR without any invoice in 2008
    Closing
I don't want to use the last funds commitment of 300 EUR in 2009  i close it with tcode FMMC
I want to pay in 2009 my invoice of 500 EUR. i don't need to carryforward nothing it is payable. This ok for public sector needs
I want to create an invoice of the remaining open funds commitment 200 EUR in 2009. The system accept without carryforward. This is an issue because many clients would like to carryforward this earmarked fund. here i had many headeaches to convince the client. And SAP said the system is designed now like this. i don't know if in the future they will improve the system
Briefly no needs to carryforward open items when you have activated multiannual budget in BCS ECC 6 anb PBET and you want to manage in parallel operational and investment budgets in FM
    Good luck to all

  • De activating the users upon user Termination in GRC CUP.

    Dear Experts,
I have a requirement to de-activate users(should not delete physically) in SAP after the users are terminated. we are planning to use HR triggers for HR terminate event in GRC CUP
    Q) I understand there is a De-provision functionality in GRC CUP.  Will this delete users in SU01 physically ? Is  there any way to use this functionality to deactivate the users ?
    Thanks
    Kumar

    Kumar,
Delete request type will delete users in CUP. What do you mean by deactiving users? Do you mean to change the validity date of the users? You will have to use change request type if you want to change any other information in the user master record other than delete/locking/unlocking of the user.

  • Give me the Configuration steps  for intercompany billing and third party s

    Hi Gurus,
Give me  the Configuration steps  for intercompany billing and third party sales and give me a brief description with examples.
    Regards,
    YSR

    Dear YSR
    Check the links
    [Cross Company Configuration|http://help.sap.com/bp_bblibrary/500/Documentation/J62_BB_ConfigGuide_EN_DE.doc]
    [Third Party Without Shipping Notification|http://help.sap.com/bestpractices/BBLibrary/html/J55_ThirdPartyWOSN_EN_US.htm]
Third party order processing is as follows:
    Assume three companies X, Y and Z
    X - The company,
    y - The customer
    Z - Vendor
When ever X gets a PO from Y to supply some goods, X has an option of either manufacturing those goods or procuring those goods.
If he is procuring the goods, there are two methods that are generally followed:
    Method 1)
After receiving the PO from Y, X creates a sales order against Y.
Now at the same time he also creates a PO to a vendor Z to produce the goods
Z produces the goods and supplies to X
X receives the goods from Z
Then X delivers the same goods to Y.
    After that X invoices Y and Z invoices X.
Note : Here there is no direct/ Indirect relation between Z and Y.
This process is known as Trading Process. and the Material here is created  with Material type HAWA.
The other method is a Third party order processing method:
Here the glaring difference is that instead of Z supplying the material to X and X in turn supplying the same material to Y.
X authorizes Z to supply the material to Y on his behalf and notify him once the delivery is complete.
Now Z supplies the material to Y and acknowledges the same to X.
Z  will send a copy of delivery acknowledgement and invoice to X.
After receiving the delivery confirmation and invoice from Z, X has to verify the invoice and this process is known as invoice verification and is done in SAP through Tcode MIRO.
The next step for X  is to create an invoice and submit to Y
Only after the invoice verification document is posted  then only X can create an invoice for Y.
This is the business flow that is followed for third party order configuration.
There are few steps that have to be configured to enable the system to function as mentioned above.
    Step1)
If you are always followwing a third party process for a material then you have to create the material using item category group BANS.
The procument type should be marked as External procurement (F) in MRP 2 view of the material master record.
if you are not always allowing third party order processing then u can create a material master record with item category group as NORM and the procurement type should be marked as ( X) meaning both types of procurment ( in house manufacturing and external procurement).
    Step 2)
the item category in the order should be manually changed as TAS.
For that you need to confugure the item category determination
ord type + item cat grp + usge + Hiv level = Item cat + Manual item cat
    OR + NORM +      +       = TAN . + TAS
    OR + BANS +       +       = TAS
    Step 3)
make sure that during the item category configuration for TAS  you need to mark relevnat for billing indicator as F
    Step 4)
The schedule line cateogry for this type should be CS.
make sure that you mark  subsequent type as NB - purchase requisition  in this schedule line category as this will trigger the purchase requision order immediately after the creation of the sales order and the PO to vendor is created against this purchase requiesion.
    thanks

  • SAP process steps for tool room

What will be the SAP process steps for tool room.
Moulds are manufactured and maintenance of moulds are being done in the tool room

    Hi,
Assuming the moulds are available, you may follow the steps below:
    > Create mould as Equipment with PRT screen data
    > Create measuring point for this equipment.
    > Create counter based maintenance plans for preventive maintenance.
    > Use applicable user exit to update the measuring point, in association with PP product confirmation, where this mould is used in respective work center.
    > This will give the preventive maintenance schedule in accordance with usage.
    > For unplanned repairs, use notification/Maintenance order route to calculate the costs and to maintain history.
    > When life expires, deactivate and set 'deletion' flag' to the respective mould equipment master, so that it can not be used in production.
    > Detailed scenario should be mapped, based on the actual customer requirement.

  • Role Upload template for SAP GRC CUP 5.3

Good Morning / Afternoon / Evening SAP Security Gurus,
I am looking to upload end user roles via a role upload template spreadsheet for use in SAP GRC CUP 5.3.  I am referring specifically to the recommended template mentioned in step 11 of the 5.3 Post Installation CUP guide, so that roles can be picked within ERM for workflow.
According to the guide, it recommends uploading from the backend systems via a spreadsheet - any template versions or advice on finalising this would be most appreciated.

  • Need replacement for damaged power connector

The power connector (plug) for my 30" cinema display became irreparably damaged and I need to replace it. This is the connector that plugs into the power adapter.
This seems like a simple problem, but I have just spent a couple of hours trying to find a replacement connector or cable without success. There must be a way to do it.

I am also looking for a cable for my 23". I have an easier problem than yours, as it is the cable at the DVI connector that failed. As a temporary repair, I have spliced on a generic DVI connector for a very ugly fix. I was quoted over $400 for replacing the entire cable at my nearest Apple Store. Building in the cable was a diabolical design. I am still searching for a wrecked display so I can salvage the cord.
In your case, you have a much easier splicing job if you can find a cable with a good power connector, but I can tell you that finding a cable is going to be difficult. I have been looking for almost a year. Good luck.

  • Step by step to replace hdd for T43 please

Can anyone guide in steps to replace my hdd in T43 (1871). I'm using a 60gb hdd, and wish to upgrade to higher capacity,
what is the maximum cap i can go?
    What to download for recovery?
    Thanks a million
    Yours reply is greatly appreciated.

I fought this with my T43.  They use an internal SATA interface with a SATA-PATA converter.  It requires drives w/specially modified firmware to avoid the boot error - and possible drive corruption.  These may help.  The safest approach is to buy a drive specifically listed by Lenovo/IBM, IMNSHO.

  • GRC AC V10 - one approval step for manager and role owner

    Hello Community,
I have one, perhaps easy, question. Where is it possible to maintain the solution of one approval step for manager and roleowner, if both are unique.
    E.g.:
simple approval workflow: manager stage afterwards roleowner stage afterwards auto-provisioning
So if the request is routed to the manager and the manager is also the roleowner of the requested authorization role (same UserID). The user has to approve one and the same request twice.
Is it possible in V.10 to change the config that the user has only to approve the request once? And then to decide on which relevant stage settings are valid for this process.
    Thanks,
    Alexa

    Hi Alexa,
We have had a similar questions raised in a project. In an ideal world, a single "Sign-off approval" would be a great functionality where the same user has to approve the same consecutive stages, but the reason for different stages would entail that the responsibilities entailed per stage differ, e.g. Line Manager would just check the over request, and the role owner etc may be reviewing the elegibility of a specifc role etc.
If it is likely to be the same person reviewing the 2 consecutive stages, maybe a single stage workflow would be sufficient to cover this scenario.
I think the logic you are trying to configure in the workflow is possible but will require alot of work with knowing how to create a clever custom workflow with BRF+ or the actual WF stuff in SAP itself.

  • Anyone have SAP GRC CUP LDAP connector using port 636 SSL working?

    Hello,
I wanted to verify if anybody connects to an eDirectory (or any other) LDAP in CUP using SSL port 636?
Statement I received from SAP is that this is not supported in CUP, and only non SSL connections to LDAP work. I just have trouble to believe this as SSL would be best practice in any company.

    Pados,
By using STUNNEL, CUP will not know about SSL. CUP will always think it is a regular connection but stunnel will send SSL connection to LDAP. Here is the link:
