Stop Light Report

I am trying develop a stop-light kind of report. Basically, I wanted to place a circle on layout and fill the circle dynamically from hexadecimal value retrieved from database. Is it possible in BI Publisher?
Thanks for any help.

Users will enter the hexadecimal value to database from an I/P screen(they can enter any 6 character hex values) .
As I have no idea what values the user specify, I cannot place the colored circles with "if".
So, I was looking if there is any way to fill the circle on the fly with the appropriate Hexvalue.

  • Stop the report from firing until the user clicks the Go button?

    Hi All,
Is there a way to stop the report from firing until the user clicks the Go button? At the moment it is populating when I open the dashboard page. I found something online that said i could use the Page Options>Save Current Settings> For Others.. but even though i am signed in as an administrator i only see a For Me.. option. Also, even after setting this option i would like to be able to hit the 'Go' button to run the report and have it uncollapse the section. Is this possible?
    Thanks

    Thanks for the replies,
In my report i am trying to constrain the report to todays data only. However the only prompt i have is for another column. If i place a filter on the date column with Year=0000 it will not change with the prompt selection and so will never return any results. Is there any other way?
It seems wasteful to fire a request to the database onload of the page. Is there an option to only fire a request what the prompts are entered? I will be using a stored proc which needs parameters to run the request so it would be good to be able to set the report to not run until it has parameters entered
    Thanks

  • Stop region (report) refreshing when button pressed

    Hi
I have created a report region, using the following select:
select * from TABLE(CAST(JCMS_MERGE_BATCHES_PKG.show_merged_batches_fn('M29||0') AS jcms_rep_batch_type))Is there a way to stop this report from submitting when a button on my page is pressed?
The reason for this requirement, is that my report contains checkboxes for each row returned. The default for the checkbox is CHECKED when the report is refreshed. However, I want users to uncheck certain rows in the report, click a button and then have some processing performed on ONLY those checked rows. My page is almost working, but because the report is refreshing, after I have performed my processing, the report is coming back with all rows selected again.
    Many thanks,
    Paul

I think your requirement is similar to this one:

  • Opening an image from LR 2 in CS5 results in an image 2-3 stops lighter

When I open an image from Lr2 into CS5 or CS3 the image is 2-3 stops lighter than what it was in Lightroom. My color settings for the working space and the  image profile are ProPhoto in both LR and PS. Does any one have an idea of what is causing this?

  • How to kill/stop a report from InfoView/CMC ?

    Hi All,
I have CRS2008 v1 environment running reports against Sybase database. Users run reports from Infoview. I would like to know what the best way to kill or stop a report that has been triggered from Infoview? Kill the spid from sybase or is there a way to kill it from Crystal?
    Thanks
    Ajith

I want to kill reports run by users if they affect the system performance due to large volume. In that case the stored procedure that the report uses to select data might run for longer periods and I want to able to kill that process. So the question is which is better ?
    1. Kill the spid for that report stored procedure in Sybase
    2. Stop/delete the report instance from crystal if it is possible.

  • How can I stop a report service manually ?

How can I stop a report service manually in DOS command?
I only know start a report service manually in DOS command. For example:rwserver service=repljbass

My start/stop scripts for Solaris looks like this.
    Start:
    rwserver.sh server=reportserver batch=yes
Note: batch=yes means that the extra control window doesn't start (at least on Unix)
    Stop:
    rwserver.sh server=reportserver shutdown=immediate authid=repadmin/reports
Just remove the .sh and it'll work on your PC.
PS. The complete Solaris start command I use is:
    exec nohup rwserver.sh server=reportserver batch=yes &

  • Stopping Customer Report doens not work

    Hi All,
I implemented my customer report, which deletes versions of documents which has the same content (comparing the hashcodes).
For traversing a folder hierarchy I used the HierarchyWalker-API.
    Now my problem:
How can I stop my report? - I cannot find a method for stopping within the IReport interface.

    Bye Steve

    Hi epexpert,
    thanks for your reply.
    Only two questions:
    (1) What do you mean with "confuse the reporting framework"?
    (2) In the SAP Reports you can stop the reports manally, why shouldnt this work with the custom reports?
    Many thanks

  • How to stop the Report to Execute in Dashboard

    Hi all
I have a Date Prompt and unless i enter date into the prompt, my Report should not be executed.
I am not allowed to use "Display Results -> link in the Dashboard"
Is there any mechanism to stop the report execution till I enter data in the prompt?
    Thanks in adv.

    There are couple of options.
In the report add the filter condition date is null and also make date is prompted. So initially the report will show "No results" . So you can format the "No Results" view in the report by adding a appropriate message.
So the initial display would be your custom message. Once you select the date in the prompt it will fetch you the appropriate results.
The same can be done using Guided Navigation also. Just reference a source request(just some report which gives no results) if the request returns rows. Apply this property to the section where your actuall report is placed and that will also give the same.
The option 1 is best and easy solution
    hope it helps

  • Stop Lights in RF Monitor

Does any anyone know how the stop lights in the RF Monitor are to be configured?  The help documentation states
"The queue traffic is green if the relation is less than the value given in the left relation field."
"The queue traffic is red if the relation is greater than the value given in the left field."
"The queue traffic is yellow if the relation is greater than the value in the right field."
I have this value set to 6.  I am having multiple issues with setting this up.
    1)  I have 8 TO's in a queue with no users.  So my relation is 8/0.   My light is Green.  I am expecting it to be red as I have 8 TO's and no users.
    2)  I have 8 TO's in a queue with one user.  So my relation 8/1 = 8.  My light is Green.  Based on the above it should be Red.
    3)  The only way I can get the stoplight to turn yellow is if I leave the left field blank and maintain the right field.
    4)  I can't ever get this stoplight to turn red unless I change the configuration and leave the left field blank.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
    Thanks
    Nick

Ok, after reviewing the program, there seems to be a couple of includes you need to take a look at.
Assuming, you will copy the main program to Z-one, including all the includes
First, use include (Z)LLRFMONTOP to define your custom data...
Second, include (Z)LLRFMONCL5, you can use its method Constructor to fill the additional data to be shown.
Then use include (Z)LLRFMONCL8 to implement the changes in ALV grid.
You actually don't need to modify the main program at all to achieve this as far as I can see.
But this will require quite a bit of coding work, but shouldn't be very hard to achieve it...

  • Discoverer stopped generating reports

This issue was reported by our customer and since I'm new to Discoverer, I have no idea what is going on here.
So, they have a batch file that generates reports every day (from what I gather). Starting Dec 30, it stopped generating reports. Aside from this, they noticed the log file contains different/various dates. Which shouldn't be the case since one log file is supposed to be created per call to dis51usr.
I wonder if any of you knows what may have causes these:
    1) Reports stopped generating
    2) log file spans multiple dates
    They are using:
    - Discoverer Client 10.1.2.48.18
    - Oracle 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.1.0.7.0 - 64 bit Production
Sample output in the log file:
    1/2/2012 3:40:00 AM
    C:\oracle\BIToolsHome_1\BIN\dis51usr.exe /connect user/password@db /open D:\Discoverer_Reports\Production\DIS\DailyReport.DIS /sheet All
    /parameter InDate 1-Jan-2012 /batch /export HTML D:\Discoverer_Reports\Production\My_Reports\20120101_
    1/2/2012 3:40:05 AM
    1/5/2012 3:40:00 AM
    C:\oracle\BIToolsHome_1\BIN\dis51usr.exe /connect user/password@db /open D:\Discoverer_Reports\Production\DIS\MyReport.DIS /sheet All
    /parameter MyDate 4-Jan-2012 /batch /export HTML D:\Discoverer_Reports\Production\My_Reports\20120104_
    1/5/2012 3:40:02 AM

    Hi,
I don't know why your reports are not generated. You have given no information about how the batch job is run.
Each call to dis51usr does not create a separate log file unless the log file specified in the command is different. If the log file is the same each run of dis51usr will just append to the file.

  • Stop XL reporter

    Hello,
Does anyone knows how to stop XL reporter in version 2007A
We are not using the add-on and we would like to stop the automatic start of the add-on in order to reduce the memory comsumption
    BR

    Dear Arnud,
In 2007A the XLR is already integrated to the core application. In order to totally remove it from the application it will be necessary to modify a value in the SBO-COMMON.
The side effect of such action is that the add-on will not be available for any database in your environment connecting through the modified SBO-COMMON.
In order to get back the add-on funcionality, it will be necessary to generate a new SBO-COMMON from the installation package (SBO-COMMON upgrader) for the version and patch in use, or to restore it from a previous backup.
Due to the modification of the database, it will be necessary to generate a message and schedule a webex with SAP Support to apply the change.

  • Can I stop a report from Re-executing the query when I go back to that page

I have a report that has a complicated query and looks at a lot of information to display the results. This query then links of to show details of individual items that were displayed in the result. But when I hit the back button on the browser, it executes the query again and it takes a while for the page to load.
Is there any way to stop this and only execute the query when the User pushes a Button on the page else display the previous results.
    Thanks
    Sriram

Another alternative is to make that detail link open in a popup window using
javascript:popupURL(...);This way, the complicated report page is always visible.

  • How do you stop the report from printing prior to the page you want to print. seems like a waste of

I have an officejet 6500 E709 series printer.
I was wondering if there is a way to have it stop printing the report prior to my page printing.  it is wasting alot of ink.  Thanks

I think the printer doesn't do this on its own... which OS and apps are you using?
