Struggle to reset Skype password - PW reset reques...

During the configuration of my wife's new notebook (Win 8.1 - MS account created) I ran into an issue. When trying to request a new password for Skype (desktop version) I was forwarded from the Skype webpage (enter email - request reset mail) directly to the Microsoft account reset page. With that I can change the Mircroosft PW but don't get the mail to reset the originial Skype PW. Logging into Skype using the MS PW leads to a "do you want to link to your existing Skype account" which again requires the original Slype PW to make it happen. This is a vicious cycle, neither can I reset the PW nor can I link to the exisiting account. So far creating a new account seems to be the only way out. Did anybody run into the same issue and can suggest a better solution?

I dont know what's going on. Before I could have my laptop, Ipad, Iphone with skype using Microsoft account. Now, I had to wait for a month to activate it in laptop, today it was disactivated from the Iphone! Soon I will be out of system! What's going on? I have no clue what is my password now...I had to change so many times, they sent to me so many different codes...nothing works! Microsoft! You are doing a mess in security sake!

Cannot reset skype password

My Skype acc was compromised and I have two questions please:

2. I am trying to reset my skype password. I have tried to reset it through my skype profile, there are two acc related to my acc - one is skype acc and another is my Microsoft acc(I have merged my skype acc with my microsoft acc years ago). I could not change my skype password because I could not remember my old password, I have been using my Microsoft acc to log in for years. I also tried to click "I have trouble log in" on the login window, but everytime it redirects me to microsoft password reset page!! Now I did reset my microsoft password, will the hacker still be able to log in with my skype username and password?
Please I need instruction to reset my skype password if they still could!
The whole reset process is so confusing and fraustrating!!!

How to reset the password for the macbook? i seem to have forgotten it.

Resetting the Password using wwsso_ls_private.ls_reset_password

While resetting the password using wwsso_ls_private.ls_reset_password, an exception is thrown.
Here is the exception:

Sometimes users forget their passwords and want to reset them. The Login Server offers a
feature that resets a user's password to a random value and then notifies the user of the new password.
This feature potentially presents a security issue, because the user is unauthenticated when requesting a password reset for a particular user account. For this reason, the password reset feature is not enabled by default and must be set up by the following steps.
Perform the following steps to install the password reset feature:
1. On the database where the Login Server is installed, log on to SQL*Plus as the Login Server schema
Example: sqlplus portal30_sso/portal30_sso
2. Enter the following command:

Resetting Router password?

Installed my WRT1900ac router several weeks ago and it is working just fine. I wanted to change a few things in the router setup but have lost my router password. Understand that I will need to reset the password and reset the router and I'm fine with that. My question is when resetting the router should I disconnect all the periefials I have connected to the router? Thanks.

You don't necessarily have to unplug the client devices from the router but it is recommended to unplug the router from power for a few seconds after the reset to restart the router.

Okay so I don't know what the hell is going on with this messed up useless system you have going on here, but I got locked out of skype for some insane reason since I didn't change my password (hell it stopped on autoload!). And when I go to get my password reset by sending the email to my linked account...
It resets my microsoft password!
Seriously WTF. They use different passwords! Why in the flaming hell would resetting my microsoft password help? If signing in with it that way worked, sure, but that option hasn't worked since it's been installed. Let me reset my damed skype password please for gods sake!

Never Receive Skype Password Reset Email (verizon)

Quite honestly, the Skype password reset process is by far the worst I've ever seen... I have, over the past few weeks, requested a Skype password reset upwards of 30 times which never arrives to my Verizon email account (no it's not trapped in spam). Want to call Skype? You could contact iTS and ask for a hint on what your rescue email really is. You probably forgot.

I lost my password, and when I went to the "forgotten password" section I get a message telling me that a mail will be sent to the email address that was used to create the account. Now, that email address was a previous work address, so I dont have access to it. i can open from face book ID I can change my password .is there any other way of reseting my password?

Default e-mail is dead, how to reset the password ...

Hello,
I'm using Skype for a long time, my profile has some e-mails and a phone number.
Unfortunately I forgot the password and my default e-mail is no more accessible. I would like to change the default e-mail to another one but it requests the password which I forgot and which may be sent to the default e-mail which is not accessible.
Please help me to set any other my profile's e-mail as default to reset the password, or please suggest how may I log in.

It looks like OS X was reinstalled. After resetting the password, you will be able to log in and use your MacBook Pro

I had to google a ton of info and when i finaly found it i was happy apprently the fill out form works but not the e-mail recover system. It made me very frustrated that everytime i get a skype update or something i get locked out and cannot reset my password.

For some reason 2 days ago when trying to login to Skype it didn't recognise my password even though i'm 100% sure it was right however I tried to reset my password with a new password and when I change it it comes up with "Please Contact Customer Service"! It won't let me change it and I can't sign into Skype.. I have 2 Skype accounts and they both have the same Email on them. I'm using Windows 7 on my sisters laptop with the latest version of Skype. I have exactly the same problem on a Mac, myiphone and my iPad. Also two accounts neither of the verified passords were accepted and neither of the two new resets worked. Also got "conatct customer care"...totally useless and gets you into a nonseseical loop of crazy questions...I just want to SPEAK to someone at SKPYE for help. Now 6 days!
