Hi ,
Please explain me the following scenario for that what are the things to be done
1.The finished material is subcontracted
2. Only one operation of the manufacturing process is sub contracting process?
Explain the material master setting , bom and routing setting.

Hi
Since u r doing second operation as subcontracting; maintain control key in 2nd operation i.e. control key PP02 to be assigned in 2nd operation
Once you allocate PP02 to operation 20 ,the system will ask for the info record no (which is displayed when you create info record using ME11 under category "subcontracting")
Then after you confirm opr 10 using CO11N, the ext processing has to be started.
Go to opr overview in the prod order, choose opr 20 & double click.
Get the PR no. from the ext processing tab. Then convert into a PO usning ME58
You can send the raw matrl to the contractor using ME2O or MB1B (541 mvnt).
Then after the completion of sub -contracting work receive the semi-finished material using MIGO (101 movement for subcont material)
Then confirm oprn 20  & lastly MB31 for GR Posting
Reward & close if solved

    I want to clear Accrued revenue by deduction AP using T code /n/SAPNEA/JSCR19
    While posting, I am getting error message “Amount too large to clear", maybe the system set the limit for the tolerance value for clear document. Please suggest me, where to change the settings.

    Hi All,
    We have created sub-contracting P.O and while doing ME2O- create delivery.  We are getting below error msg.
        Depending on the category of the delivery being created, the system needs the following transfer data:
        o   Outbound delivery
            -   Shipping point, Sales organization,Distribution channel
                 Division,Material number,Delivery quantity,Ship-to party
                  Base unit of measure
    Inbound delivery
    Base unit of measure,Conversion factors for converting base and sales units (not for creating/replicating an inbound delivery in a decentralized Warehouse Management system)
    Goods receiving point (shipping point) when a delivery is
        created in decentralized WM
    Outbound and inbound deliveries from goods movements
    Shipping point
          -   Sales organization,Distribution channel,Division,Material number,Delivery quantity,Ship-to party,Base unit of measure
      Plant and sales unit transfer data is always mandatory.
    Please Anybody can tell me what configuration we have to do.

    You have to set up the shipping details just as you would do for a stock transport order with transfer posting happening through SD route. You have to set the delivery type for this document and the material should have sales/shipping data. Only then will the system be able to pick up the delivery type & thus create a delivery.
    This is given in detail in help.sap.com -
    From SC Stock Monitoring for Vendor as a Delivery via Shipping
    From the SC Stock Monitoring for Vendor list, you can also create a delivery via Shipping. The advantage of this procedure is that you have shipping documents and delivery notes for the shipment of the materials to be provided to the subcontractor (refer to  Goods Movements via Shipping)
    To create a delivery, the following data has to be maintained in the system:
    the plant must be assigned a sales organization, a distribution channel, and a division. You can define this in Customizing for Purchasing, in the step Set Up Stock Transport Order.
    A delivery type has to be defined for the plant from which the items are to be delivered. You can define this in Customizing for Purchasing, in the step Set Up Subcontract Order.
    If you want to reference a reservation when you create a delivery, you also have to set the Predecessor necessary indicator to L (Provision to subcontractor necessary) when defining the delivery type. This means that the requirements generated by the reservations can be correctly offset against the deliveries created. You can define this in Customizing for Shipping, in the step Define Delivery Types.
    The vendor for the stock with subcontractor must be entered as the customer in the organizational units in the delivering plant, such as sales organization, distribution channel, and division.
    The material to be provided has to be entered for the organizational units in the delivering plant, such as sales organization, distribution channel, and division.
    The combination of shipping condition (from the subcontractoru2019s customer master record), loading group (from the material master record for the components to be provided), and the plant have to be assigned to a shipping point. You can define this in Customizing for Shipping, in the step Assign Shipping Points.
    To create a delivery, choose Edit ® Create delivery. A dialog box appears, in which you can enter the data required to post the delivery. The system posts the delivery in the background and, after posting, it informs you in a dialog box how many items were posted.

  • Sub contracting challan reconcillation

    Hi Friends,
                                 I am doing the subcontracting for sales order
    1. I have created the po with account assignment E
    2. Transferred the material from main store to sub contracting store
    3. created sub contracting challan
    3. created goods reciept and in that i have given reference of sub contracting challan
    4. now i want to do the reconcillation , but system is giving error message as " challan material is different from material document..
    so please suggest , what i have to do? please reply....

    Hi
    Since you are transfering the material to subcontracting store, which is under your premises.You cannot do a reconsiltion.
    If you have seprate subcontractor ,then its possible to do the reconsilation.
    follow the  below procedure subcontracting for sale order :
    1.created the po with account assignment E
    2. Issue the material to Subcontractor by creating a new mvt type 541 E. You cannot issue the sale order stock to subcontractor with 541 mvt.
    3.Create Subcontracting challan
    4.Do GR
    5.Do the reconsilation

  • Sub Contracting in FIFO Valuation Method

    Dear All,
    I am facing one serious problem while using Subcontracting Addon.
    We have developed Sub Contracting Add-on based on Standard Valuation Method and it is working fine.
    But when we use FIFO Valuation method then it will not allow.
    So could you please guide me the process/procedure how to implement Sub Contracting in FIFO Valuation Method.
    Means what are changes needs to make it success in FIFO.

    Yes its right not to change the earlier valued items on one costing method to another.
    Imp. to note that, for manufacturing/sub-contracting the best costing method is Standard. Because, in manufacturing processes, its very much impossible to track the exact in and out of material as per FIFO; costing method comes into picture as you made some inward and outward or some movement of material, i.e. in case of purchasing material FIFO starts acting as you start consuming the materials or you transfer the material from one warehouse to another, other than in which you have received the material. When you have material on floor, its quite impossible to track the exact movement of material, means which material is actually being processed on the floor. So, If we use FIFO for such items, then actual costing will be always different from executed/system costing, Also, FIFO is suggested for only those business practices who are following the JIT principle. But, by having Special as costing method for manufacturing items, we avoid such problems to have actual costing, though it may again differ from actual costing, but overall as per the business experience we come to know COGS to actual basis.
    In Special Costing method, it's recommendable to revise the Standard cost of the items, periodically.

  • Return of scrap from vendor Sub contracting

    Pls advice me on how to map this scenario
    we are sending two raw materials to subcontractor for a semi finished product. during the process scrap is also generated which is of value to the organization and they need to receive it from the sub contractor.

    Hi,
    create a material master record for the scrap material. Maintain the scrap material with a negative quantity either in the BOM or in the material components while creating the subcontracting PO.
    Post the components to Vendor's stock with movement type 541. Later send the materials to vendor physically. While receiving the materials (Goods Receipt) w.r.t.the sub contracting PO with MT 101, the following postings happen,
    components will be posted with movement type 543 ( - ) and the scrap with MT 545 'O' (stock category) [MT 545 - material lying at Vendor's location]. Later u can take back this scrap material from the vendor with movement type 542. This is the complete procedure in terms of goods movements.
    Don't forget to Reward, if found useful.

    1.Create a vendor for the company code of receiving plant, using account group :0007 using T-Code XK01.
    2. Assign this vendor to Delivering plant
    Go to XK02 >Purchasing view>Extras>Add. Purchasing data>Plant
    3. Create internal customer with the sales area of the vendor. Go To XD01
    4. In Pricing procedure determination relevant to STO, assign document Pricing Procedure and customer pricing procedure appropriate for STO to get the pricing in the invoice.
    5. Maintain condition records for the relevant pricing condition.
    6. Some more setting for STO: Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> define shipping data for plants > Go to Receiving plant >assign customer here & Supplying SA (for billing) to Receiving plant here
    7. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> define shipping data for plants > Go to Supplying plant and assign the sales area of receiving plant.
    8. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO> assign delivery Type & Checking rule
    Assign the delivery type to document type. In this case, Delivery type NLCC is assigned to Document type NB
    9. Go to MM> Purchasing > Purchase Order > Set up STO>Assign document Type, One step Procedure, Under delivery tolerance
    Assign the document type NB to supplying plant and receiving plant
    10. After all settings , Create the STO using T-Code:ME21N and Save.
    11. Create Delivery :VL10G
    Click on the Background Button after selecting line item
    A message is flashed : See log for information> next Click on Log for delivery creation Button >click on line item>click on document button to get Delivery document No
    12. Picking, PGI:VL02N
    13. Billing:VF01
    Save the document and its done

    we need to use SCC u2013 Sub contracting with Chargeable components.
    For that, Activated u2018SCCu2019 at Client level and Valuation area level.
    Any further config process required to use this process?
    I did not find any difference in postings between normal Sub-con process and SCC.
    Please advise what is the difference?

    Hi,
    Sub Contracting Process with t.codes are:
    (1) You have create material in MM01(Finished Goods ,mat type FERT) that can be procured externally, and you have maintained BOM (CS01) with components (Raw Materials , Mat type ROH). Any waste generated as scraps or by products received during subcontracting process can be maintained as component with negative quantity or in % basis  in the BOM in CS01.
    (2) Create a subcontracting PO (ME21N, Item Category L). Maintain Purchase Info Record (ME11)for Subcontract category for material and subcontractor.
    (3) You make a transfer posting to issue components(Raw Materials) for SC PO(In ME2O directly or by MB1B with 541 Movement type). Material is sent to subcontractor. As material remains under your ownership, system does not make any value entry. But quantity is shown as "Material Provided to Vendor" .So no accounting document generated by supplying raw material to Sub Contracting Vendor.
    (4) You receive (MIGO) finished material against SC-PO. You also specify components consumed in manufacturing of finished goods. Additionally, if you have negative components in BOM, now you'll also receive subcontracting by-products. There are three events, so three accounting entries are generated:
    FG BSX acc. Debit Acc.
    GR/IR Cle.acc. WRX acc. Credit Acc.
    FRL Acc. Debit Acc.
    BSV acc. Credit Acc.
    BSX acc. of components Credit Acc.
    GBB - VBO Acc. Debit acc.
    PRD acc. Some time Credit &
    Some time Debit
    (5) Invoice Verification (MIRO) for SC Invoice.
    (6) Payment in F-53
    If you are activate Price Diff. Acc. for SC-Vendor in....
    OLMB -
    > GR -
    > Price diff. acc.for SC order while you do GR for your Plant......then Price Diff. Acc. also will be trigered...

  • Problems getting print-out of Sub-contracting challan

    Hi all,
    we,ve had real problem getting the print0out of sub contracting challan.
    System wouldn't show any print-preview of the sub contracting challan.
    but at assign forms and procedures in customizing of Inv management, at 51IF FOR SC challan, the system does show a print-preview of the sc challan form.
    but, after creating a SC challan and trying to view the print-preview of sc chalan, the system would neither show print-preview nor get a print-pout of the sc chalan.
    please do help in this regard,

  • Creation of Sub Contracting PO through Maintenance Order

    Dear All,
    I am aware of the sub contracting indicator to be cliked in the maintenance order in order for the system to generate a Sub Contracting PO through Maintenance Order. However I am unable to see this indicator in maintenance order fields.
    Is there anything that I am missing in customising settings or is this related to activation of any business function sets.
    I am working in ECC 6.0 EhP 5.0.
    Need your help / inputs so as to resolve my issue.

    However this is something I am aware of. The settings suggested by you will automatically generate a PR with Account Assignemnt Category as 'Order' (F) & Item Category as 'Service' (D) combination.
    I am looking for the auto generation of PR through the maintenance order with Account Assignemnt Category as 'Order' (F) & Item Category as 'Sub Contracting' (L) combination.

    I tried through ME2O, MBLB where I am not getting the report I wanted.
    I want to take a montly report for all the subcontract work given to the vendor. (The work is completed )

    In ME2L I am able to get the details, but the problem is;
    I want to get a report which will give me the full details of the Sub COntract PO.
    Example. I created a Sub COntract PO for Fineshed Material A. For makng Material A I need to supply Material B, Material C to the Sub Contract Vendor.
    I want to know by the end of the month
    1) The Subcontract PO
    2) Final Material (Material A)
    3) Raw materials Supplied to vendor (Material B & Material C)
    4) Status of the order
    5) Material A given back to me
    6) remaining Material (Material A)

    after return from vendor with mvt type 105 (543) i check document list with MB51. i found following g/l account effects :
    SFG consumption for sub contract  account = 602026
    Gr/IR Clearing Account = 164335
    SFG-inventory account = 323055
    for sub contract account = 602130
    Inventory account = 320010
    Costs of goods mfg = 602200
    but if do whole sub contracting cycle without MRP i can see effect in following G/L a/C:
    Manual Cycle .
    Inventory account = 320010
    Gr/IR Clearing Account = 164335
    Price Differance Account = 602155
    change in stock = 603010
    Sub Contract expense = 603000
    SFG-inventory account = 323055

    Price diffrences arise during valuation @ GR if the material is managed at standard price in MMR.
    Also there is one more setting in customizing that for a plant that price differences should or not be posted during GR.
