Subclip Playback Continues Past Marker

When I select a subclip to playback it no longer stops at the end of the subclip marker since I did the most recent update. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hi -
In Prelude 2.x we have introduced the concept of playing of a marker. In the Monitor Panel you should see two buttons on the far left. One is to LOOP playback, and the next one over is to play the selected marker from IN to OUT. Use this button instead of the standard PLAY button to play the selected marker (doesn't have to be a sub clip marker – it works with all marker types) to play IN to OUT. You can also select multiple markers.  Be sure to enable the LOOP button as well as needed.
Hope this helps,
Michael

    Hi,
I would like to know if the backup program has been uninstalled?
I suggest updating your graphic card driver from manufacturer's site and scanning the computer with your security software. Also test the issue in
Clean Boot. If possible, try to reinstall problematic games.

  • Make Subclip with In/Out marks not working in FCP6

I've captured HDV media in FCP6 using Capture Now and the master clips are captured are broken up by scene. When I attempt to make subclips using In/Out marks on the master clips I get a jagged-edge icon subclip that contains the entire master clip. The subclip does not contain any In/Out marks. Is this a bug or am I missing something?

That means that you need to contact iTunes store support.  They can provide information about why your in-app purchases are not working.

I began using the migration assistant. It downloaded fine on my PC, and I was able to follow the steps on the apple website, but it will not let me continue past selecting which items to migrate on my Mac. However, if I try to exit out of the window it says migration in progress do not close. There is not a bar to measure the progress of the migration on either the PC or Mac like the instructions say there will be.

  • Playback continues yet audio is missing

I’m running the latest version on iTunes on Windows XP and all the firmware is up to date on the Airport Express I am streaming to.
However, sometimes when iTunes has finished playing a song and goes to playback the next song the audio stops. The new track appears to be playing as the playback bar in iTunes continues to move from left to right yet the audio has disappeared. If I stop playback and restart the audio re-appears.
Is anyone else having the same problem or can anyone suggest a solution to stop this from happening?
    Regards

I am having a similar problem. After an installation period of 5+ hours for my Airport Extreme with windows xp(sp3), I can finally hear my itunes through my stereo. Everything is updated, itunes, APX firmware...7.4.1. However the audio cuts out, song keeps playing, audio comes back, then cuts out again. Can anyone end my frustration?

  • QT pauses playback when position marker is moved back or forward

Within just the past few weeks, it has become a pain to playback a long mp3 and jump around the file (like a one hour mix) because doing so pauses playback. Of course, I can just hit the play button, but if I want to jump around a number of times to look for something in particular, pressing play each time is unreasonable. Don't know why this behavior just suddenly changed for the worse--is there some configuration to prevent this pausing and revert to the original behavior?

Any others with this issue??? Why can't I jump to a new location in a song without intermittently causing playback to pause?

  • Why is video playback continually stuttering after the Mountain Lion 10.8.2 update?

Since updating to Mountain Lion 10.8.2 video playback in iTunes and QuickTime is unwatchable. The video stutters constantly then plays catch up to the sound. I'm running a 2011 Mac Mini i5 2.3 GHz and 8 Gb of RAM. Anyone know how to roll back the update to a working version of Mountain Lion?

Hello, you'd have to reinstall 10.8.0 or 10.8.1, but...
See if the Disk is issuing any S.M.A.R.T errors in Disk Utility...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH7029
Open Activity Monitor in Applications>Utilities, select All Processes & sort on CPU%, any indications there?
How much RAM & free space do you have also, click on the Memory & Disk Usage Tabs.
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens.
In the Memory tab of Activity Monitor, are there a lot of Pageouts?
One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
    Reboot, test again.
If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...

  • Cannot hear audio for subclips playback in source monitor

    Hi,
My editor has merged a bunch of video and multichannel audio on his computer and created merged clips and sub clips for me to look at. Now it's my turn to make selects from the merged subclips, but when I open the project on my computer the subclips don't play back with sound (however, the regular full merged clips play just fine). There clearly is audio attached to the subclips (i can see the waveforms) and the correct audio channels are turned on, but the no sound is played. However, when I drag these subclips into the timeline, the audio channels are all turned off -- I can turn the relevant channels on and then the audio plays in program monitor from the timeline!
Since my editor didn't have this problem on his computer, I assume it has something to do with the settings on my premiere pro.
    Does anyone have any ideas?
    thanks

I'm not sure if it would account for the exact problem you're encountering, but there is a known issue with subclips saved from merged clips. It involves the Media Start and End timecodes being improperly calculated. Even if this bug does not account for the particular issue you're reporting, I recommend not using subclips from merged clips for the time being. Two workarounds:
Rather than saving subclips from your merged clips, insert each segment into a sequence for review.
If you really want separated clips in the Project panel, make duplicates of the original merged clip and then set in/out points in each
If the bug records are correct, this issue was introduced in CC7.2, so another option is to roll back to 7.1. In that light, I'm curious whether you and your editor are on the same version.

  • New to MacBook, can I continue past network query?

I just purchased a macbook pro. I am in the process (slowly but surely) of setting up a non-apple router on my xp and ran into some problems. I am waiting for that router's manufacturer to get back to me. When I open my new Macbook, the screen I'm stuck on is the network one. It does see my XP network but because of problems mentioned above (I believe), I can't proceed to set it up as the one the Mac will use. Can I safely continue on (by pressing the 'other ...' button to get into my Mac (so I can play on it without a network) and then later (when I get my router set up) set up my wireless internet? I've had my Macbook now for

When I open my Macbook, I receive the set up wizard (I think). It takes me through prompts (language, location, whether I want to move files from an older macbook to the new one) and the prompt I am stuck on is the one that asks if I want to set up a wireless network. I apologize for my lack of knowledge, but this is my first time with a macbook and I don't know what to do - I am still waiting for my router support to help me but until they do, I would like to know if I can skip the step somehow and then come back to it later to set up the wireless. (my router is a Cyfre 3G wireless). Thanks for any replies!

  • Getting hardware test to continue past a problem

The CPU temperature sensor in my iMac G5 failed (the "CPU T-diode"). I solved the problem by replacing the CPU fan with one that always runs at high speed. The only problem (besides noise) is that if I run the hardware test it halts when it finds the temperature sensor problem. Is there any way to get the hardware test to ignore/bypass this problem and finish the remainder of the test?

There may be a way to do that, but perhaps only if a component
such as a resistor or sensor dud were installed in place of the one
the system expects to see in place of the one not reporting in as
part of the test. So, if there is a component one can install that is
the correct loop-back to the system, it may fool it into letting you
get past a part of the test where it appears to see a bad sensor.
So, I wonder what the value is supposed to be, where the sensor
would be reporting back (via some wire, to where the computer
can see it; where the test also reads this value from) of an OK
temperature. Or, be able to go into the system and set the heat
value of the sensor so high as to have it never be an issue. That
may not be possible now. {I have heard of some iBook and/or
PowerBook owners tweaking the fan sensors when an unsolved
mystery occurred at one point, so as to fool the device into not
running the fans too often.} That may also have been applied to
another computer product. Now I no longer have that reference.
Some enterprising persons with micro-soldering skills were able
to fix defects on portable computer logic boards to overcome a
few issues which otherwise would have rendered them useless.
There may be some other workaround to attempt a dummy load
on a sensor line to fool it into a false value, to indicate health.
That's a bit beyond me; all I was able to accomplish was some
micro repairs on camera gear and some years at the goldsmith
bench, most tasks ie: stonesetting, etc. I don't do surgery.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • IPad video buffering issues - playback continually interrupted

I have standard definition video TV shows downloaded to my hard disk. I am trying to watch them on my iPad v2 using Home Sharing on iTunes 11.0.3 on OS X 10.8.3. Buffering is painfully slow, and really limited...it never stays ahead of playback; a 30 minute video takes an hour to watch. Or, would take an hour if I would put up with it.
Would anyone know what's going on? (have searched forums and found lots of similar complaints, but no specific recommendations. I have restarted the iPad.)

    Hi sbrindolona,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.

  • ITunes freezes, playback continues but interface is unresponsive

I'm running iTunes 10.5.1, but I've been having this problem since 10.5. The interface locks up completely, but playback isn't affected. Whatever I'm listening to plays perfectly. It goes away after a few seconds, but it's pretty frustrating. There doesn't seem to be any particular pattern in terms of songs or what else I'm doing on the computer. It does often happen right at the beginning of a song, while I'm trying to hop about on random. Does anyone else have this issue? Better still, does anyone know what I might try that could help?

  • Difficulty continuing past exception in a for loop while parsing XML

    Hola -
I've got an issue where (in this case) Turkish characters cause XML parsing to fail; I'm trying to insert an exception here so that any given XML element which causes a problem will simply be skipped & I can figure out the issue later. But if I place it outside, as presented below, then the entire file does not get written rather than simply that element being skipped. My other attempts have resulted in compiler errors indicating I've misplaced it, such as:
Error(61,6): PLS-00103: Encountered the symbol "EXCEPTION" when expecting one of the following: begin case declare end exit for goto if loop mod null pragma raise return select update while with <an identifier> <a double-quoted delimited-identifier> <a bind variable> << close current delete fetch lock insert open rollback savepoint set sql execute commit forall merge pipe
Can I get this to drop processing of only the specific problem element & return to complete the entire file?
Many thanks for any help here, greatly puzzled by this.
