Subcontracting revarsal cycle of excisable goods

Dear MM Experts,
Kindly explain the Reversal process of Subcontracting with excisable goods.
I have done upto J1IFR
Creation of subcontracting PO ( ME21N) Item ctgry:  L
Transfer Posting Mvt 541 MB1B
Creation of subcontracting challan J1IF01
Good receipt w.r.t Subcontracting Challan.
Generation of Annexure IV J1IFR
What will be the next step?
Please help me out.
Thanks & Regards,
Sandeep.

You can replicate the reversal cycle once you cross 180 days period. In J1IF13, instead of 'Complete' option, you will get 'Reversal option. Once you post the challan, your duties will get reversed.

  • Stock Transfer of Excisable goods from Depot to Depot

    Hi,
We are facing an issue with Stock Transfer of Excisable Goods from an excisable depot to another excisable depot which had arrived from an excisable manufacturing plant.
We are following the below steps:
    1. Create STO PO at Depot A (ME21N)
    2. Delivery of Goods from Depot B (VL10B)
    3. Create Depot Excise Invoice at Depot B with reference to Orginal Manufacturing Excise Invoice (J1IJ)
    4. Goods Receipt at Depot A (MIGO)
    5. Capture Excise at Depot A (J1IG)
We are getting stuck at Step 5. When we are performing J1IG and entering Depot Excise Invoice or Original Manufacturing Excise Invoice, we are getting an error message as "Excise invoice does not exist in Supplying Plant".
Kindly suggest how to capture excise at Depot A.
    Regards,
    Debarshi

    Dear G. Lakshmipathi,
We have tried your solution but we are still stuck at the same place.
In J1IG, if we enter the Depot B excise invoice and press enter, we are getting the message "Excise invoice does not exist in Supplying Plant".
If we enter the Original Manufacturing excise invoice and press enter, then also we are getting the message "Excise invoice does not exist in Supplying Plant".
If we enter the Depot B excise invoice and give a tick in the "Depot Excise Invoice" and press enter, we are getting into an infinite loop.
Kindly suggest how we can capture the excise at Depot A.
    Regards,
    Debarshi

  • Subcontracting with pay of Excise Duty

    Dear All,
In Subcontracting with pay of Excise Duty,
How much % i have to maintain in Condition Type JEXC & how could i get the accounting entry mention below in MIGO & Excise flow in BED,ECS & SECS fields.
    CENVAT Input BED - Dr
    CENVAT Input ECS - Dr
    CENVAT Input SECess - Dr
    CENVAT Clearing A/c - Cr
    Plz suggest...........
    Thanks

    Hi,
Indeed, in subcontracting process u donot need to pay any excise despite the material sending to the vendor is excisable one. Here in this process:
    1. U have to create a subcontract  challan with J1IF01 and take a print out of the challan with j1if13 and send with subcon material.
    2. Transfer the material from our stocks to subcontractor vendor with 541 movement type.
If the material is not received from  the vendor with in 180 days u have to pay the CENVAT credit amount taken at the time of  purchasing.
And, u can take the credit again after receiving the material again using J1IFQ.
If it is of  inventorised excise type, u donot need to think of it as the values r gets added to the material at the the time of purchasing itself.

    Bhuvan

  • Excisable goods return after CENVAT period

    Hi All,
What would be the process for excisable goods return in case when the period for excise return has changes.
Ex. Suppose cusotmer buys steel pumps and returns you after 6 months. Now we have to book sales return  Although we will make return invoice w.r.t. commercial invoice but how to deal wih exicsable invoice?

Once you generate an excise invoice when you move the goods initially, the respective ED will be stored in Table J_1IEXCHDR.
So when a return order is created, you can have a check at this table for the combination fields
    a)  RDOC  -  for original billing document reference and
    b)  EXBED  -  for ED debited
and system should consider JMOD value only in return order based on the above fields.  This you can very well achieve through sale order exit
    thanks
    G. Lakshmipathi

  • Excisable and non-excisable goods

    Hi all,
what is the difference between excisable and non-excisable goods?
And in the sales delivery if the item is excisable then what is the next compulsory step we have to take?
    can u please explain me.
    Thanks,
    Varalakshmi.

Check this wiki which explains Excise
    [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Excise_duty]
In India, an excise tax is levied on the manufacturer of goods when those goods leave the place of manufacture. Formerly called the Central Excise Duty, this tax is now known as the Central Value Added Tax (CENVAT). Manufacturers may offset duty paid on materials used in the manufacturing process by using that duty as a credit against excise tax through a process known as Central Value Added Tax Credit (CENVAT Credit). The offsetting process was formerly known as Modified Value Added Tax (MODVAT).
you can better talk to your Client Representative regarding this to know more.

  • Cofiguration step for  SubContracting Order Cycle  (SCO)

Pls,provide me the the configuration steps of SCO(Suncontracting Order Cycle)

    Sub Contracting Cycle
    (1) You have a material that can be procured externally, and you have maintained BOM with components. Any waste generated and received during subcontracting process can be maintained as component with negative quantity. (special procurement type should be 30 in material MRP2 view for the mateiral you are getting back from subcontractor)
    (2) You create a subcontracting PO (PO with Item Category L). You can also maintain Purchase Info Record for Subcontract category for material and subcontractor.
    (3) You make a transfer posting to issue components for SC PO. Material is sent to subcontractor. As material remains under your ownership, system does not make any value entry. But quantity is shown as "Material Provided to Vendor"
    (4) You receive finished material against SC-PO. You also specify components consumed in manufacturing of finished goods. Additionally, if you have negative components in BOM, now you'll also receive subcontracting by-products. There are three events, so three accounting entries are generated:
DR FG Stock/ SC By-Product Stock
CR Change in Stock (FG/ SC By-Product )
    (for finished goods received)
    DR Subcontracting Charges
    CR GR/IR Clg
    (for moneys payable to Subcontractor)
    DR Consumption (Components)
    CR Change in Stock (FG/ SC By-Product ) 0
(material provided to Vendor is now charged to expense)
    (5) You do the IV for SC Invoice, and the process is complete.
    Process of Subcontract in MM
    Sub-contract business process:
You want to buy material from the supplier (processed material/ assembled item) , but for some reason (quality of certain item / price ) you will give some component to vendor .
Vendor shall process the item / use the item provided & supply the final item.
    SAP process:
1.Create the finished goods material code.
2.Maintain the BOM for the material.
3.Create PO with item category as "L" .
4.Issue material to vendor with movement type 541
5.Receive the material against the PO with movement type 101.
6.MIRO to account for vendor's invoice for the service charge& material used by him.
Note:: At the Time of GR 543 Mvt is up dated for Raw Material.
Can anybody tell me how a process has to be given to subcontracting?
    Suppose, I have 3 operations 1)weaving 2)dyeing 3)cutting & packing
if no 2 process (i.e Dyeing) has to be given to subcontracting, what process should i follow ?
The following process to be followed for subcontracting.
    1. Item code(material master) to be created at the stage of before dyeing.
    2. Item code(material master) to be created after Dyeing as subcontracted item.(F30)
    3. Bill of material to be created for the material(2) calling for material(1)
    4. Info record and source list to be created for material(2) with the corresponding vendor
    5. PO to be released for material (2)
6.Along with PO the material(1) to be issued to vendor
7.On receipt of material when GR is made the stock with vendor will get updated.
How to Create a Subcontract Order?
To create a subcontract order, proceed as follows:
Enter the material you want to order and the item category for subcontracting (L) in the order item.
Press ENTER to display the screen for component processing.
Enter the components that the vendor requires to manufacture the product.
    Please note:
u2013 You do not need to enter the date required for the components. This date is proposed by the system when you press ENTER.
    It is calculated as follows:
Delivery date of the item - Planned delivery time
u2013 If you do not want the quantity of the components to be changed if the order quantity of the end product is altered, set the indicator Fixed quantity (column F).
u2013 You can determine whether the components are available on the date required by selecting Edit -> Availability check.
If you entered a bill of material as the material in the subcontract order, the components are created automatically.
If you want to determine the components in the bill of material at a later date (for example, if the bill of material is subsequently changed), choose Item -> Component -> New BOM explosion. The existing components are deleted and redetermined in the bill of material.
    Save the purchase order.

  • Excise Tab in Migo - Job work of Finished excisable goods

How to Handle the Finished goods which is to be sent to vendor for job work...
Since the material is maintained in Ji1d as F RG
Excise tab is not appears in MIGO agins the Job work PO.
    How to solve the issue?
    regards,
    Sridhar.N

    Hi,
Exactly you cannot send a finished goods to the subcontractor for work.
You should rather change the material type.. or you have to create a new material with HALB/ROH material type... then only the process works.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Kiran

  • Excise Goods Receipt Without  Only Part I

    Hi,
We have done a goods receipt for an excisable material.
At the time of goods receipt, we could not select "Only Part I"
Now we want to post the Vendor Excise Invoice,
I just ran the T Code J1I5 with Classification ROP and I am able to update the RG Part I Register,
Now I want to post the excise value using T Code J1IH. Here I am confused which button to select . Here we get options like Additional excise, Other adjustment.
    Request you to please guide.
What is the best way to handle this type of situation.
    Regards,

    Hi PK,
The amount what u are seeing in the top is the cumulative amount for that month. What u have to do before doing the MMPV that select the value based on the account for e.g RG23BED then select the line and press the create menu button in the tool bar and then it ask in which account need to post it (i.e) at the bottom account. u have to select the top and bottom are the same one then if u save it once the system take entire amount in the top and deduct the same from the bottom account.
That means the amount in the register will get reduce. The amount what ever u did the utilisation that will go and sit in the PLA account. From the PLA account the amount will be disbursed to the excise department. If u have not done then your PLA account will be more that means u have to pay more to your excise department without set-off amount.Loss to company.
    a. we are in back-log mode right now, if we don't run J2IUN, what will happen?. Is this statutory? Or will it impact our financial?
Not a problem all back -log can be utilised at one shot and if u not run the J2IUn your set-off amount cannot be get back from excise. It is statutory.Yes it will impact your financial means your paying the both input and out put tax to the excise.
    b. what if I run J2IUN after we complete all the backlogs or year end?
You have to do as a monthly basis not a year basis.Last financial year back log cannot be utllised for this year.
    c. What query should I put across to our client to know about their existing process?
Whether they have a set-off process (Earlier they used to call Modvet) or all input taxes are inventories. Only this transaction is right for all the set-off invoices.i am sure all the OEM will have the set-off requirement
d What query should I put across to our FI Consultant regarding this T Code.
Ask him whether he checked all the GL balance for all these registers for ex RG23ABED get Zero. whether he is checking the PLA account. The output tax and input tax is properly got off-set.All the Excise GL Need to be reconcile at the month end. This is very very important activities.
    e. Is this the job of MM User or FI User (so that I can accordingly impart the KT)
Utilisation is MM activity but FI consultant need to be with u because the posting date what ever u are giving in the input selection screen for the J2iUN that he has to tell . What ever date u give them system will post the accounting doc for that period. so be carfrul.
    Thanks
    Ganesh

  • Vendor return delivery for excisable goods

    Hi,
I have few queries regarding vendor return delivery of excisable items.
    1) MIGO is done- Part 1 is done
        J1IEX_P- Part 2 is done.
       MIRO is done/not done.
    2) MIGO is done-Part 1 is done.
        J1IEX is not done.
        MIRO is not done.
    3) In case of return PO, when we do MIGO with 161,
should I select Create excise entry or No Excise Entry??
What will be correct vendor return delivery procedure??
I've searched forums, but I'm not able to get the proper solution for excisable items.
Can anybody tell me step by step procedures for above.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Piyush

    Hi
You need to select Create excise entry , as you have claimed the Credit for the materials , so you need to reverse that as you are not utilising the material in production of finished goods.
    Thanks & Regards
    Kishore
