Subject to withholding tax disabled

Good morning,
when inserting a new business partner master data the flag " subjecy to
withholding tax" is active (on state YES) but 95% of customer are not
subjet to withholding tax. This behaviour means an extra work for the
user when he adds a new customer master data and the possibility to make
some mistakes.
Is it possible to set by default "subject to withholding tax" in state "NO" ?
Thank you in advance.
Marco

HI marco,
Also detick withholding tax in inventory tab of general settings.
You can also below query to find customers with
withholding tax.
SELECT T0.[CardCode], T0.[CardName], T0.[WTLiable] FROM OCRD T0 WHERE T0.[WTLiable] ='Y' AND
T0.[CardType] = 'C' ORDER BY T0.[CardCode]
In Business Partner >Accounting Tab> Tax Tab-->
Detick Subject to With Holding Tax if not required.
Hope above answers helps you.

  • Vendor is Subject to Withholding Tax Message

I have configured withholding tax in my client and it works well. The issue is with the message.
When I post an invoice using transaction MIRO, the system does not give a message that the vendor is subject to withholding tax. It does this when I post an FI invoice and hit enter. I have to go to the Withholding tax tab to check. I need this message before the invoice is saved/posted and not necessarily to check the tab.
Any ideas how to achieve this requirement?
    Cheers
    Victor

    Thanks.
But how do I get the system to give me a message that the vendor is subject to withholding tax when I run transaction MIRO without going to the tab to check if the vendor is subject to withholding tax?
The objective here is that I want a message anytime before I save an invoice if the vendor is subject to withholding tax without the need to go check in the withholding tax tab when entering invoices.
    Cheers

  • Multiple vendor line items during IR with different withholding tax status

Business scenario:  During IR, several vendor line items are being processed, some are stock materials, others are service materials (using material group).  Only the service materials are subject to withholding tax.
Problem:  Since the withholding tax type/code is maintained at the company code level of the vendor master, it is not possible to select only the service materials as subject to withholding tax.
Has anyone encountered this problem before?  if yes, please advise solution adopted.
    Thanks.

I think through condition type / condition record, you can reduce the amount payable to the vendor and post it to another GL account. But if you do not update the amount in the W/tax  base and w/tax amount, you will not be able to use standard reports of w/tax. May be condition types can be used to do the calculation of w/tax amount and w/tax base amount. Build the logic in the interfcae of e-invoice and SAP to update W/tax fields in vendor invoice.

  • Delete Withholding tax info in cleared document

We recently made the change from classic to extended withholding tax. I've been able to successfully run RFWT0010 and RFWT0020 when the withholding tax in a vendor master record was changed. However, we have several vendors the were marked as 1099 vendors (non employee compensation) that really are not subject to withholding tax. I've removed the withholding tax data in the vendor master record, but the documents still contain the withholding tax information, even after I've run both RFWT0010 and RFWT0020.  I've opened up those fields to be changed in document settings already. Is it not possible to delete or remove withholding tax from the document unless I do it manually through FB02?

We had the same problem. There is no SAP delivered tool like RFWT0010 and RFWT0020 that will work to delete withholding tax data from cleared documents.  However you can create a CATT script for transaction FB09 which will work to do this. I used SE16n to gather the needed information which is document number, Line item number and fiscal year. I uploaded the relevant vendor numbers into the query screen for table WITH_ITEM
I chose the relevant fiscal years, tax type FE, tax code not equal to blank, base amount not equal to zero,  i chose to display all those plus line item number document number, vendor number,  We only have one company code so that was not relevant for me.
I then copied that list into my Catt global variant spreadsheet and away I went. I would worn you about reversal documents you might want to exclude those.  I would create a Variant for these selections as well
    Good luck
Also if it doesn't really matter what the historical line items say. I had the users simply exclude those vendors from 1099 selection criteria

  • Change withholding tax type in FB60

    Hi SAPexperts,
I have a doubt about withholding tax type using FB60
I've a customer that is a professional (subject a withholding tax type G --> 15%), but he rents me a building so he has other withholding tax type G (15%)
The withholding tax type applied in the invoice (G or H) depens on the kind of service that the customer done.
If I assign these two withholding tax type in the customer data master, when I create a customer invoice (by FB60) the system brings me two withholding tax type from data master. I have to delete one of them, unless the system applies doble tax in the invoice. It's not a good solution because I need a validation to not forget to detele one of them,..
If I assign only one withholding tax type in the customer data mater, when I create a customer invoice is not possible to chage the withholding tax type assigned by the system. I seems that It's impossible to apply another withholding tax type different from the data master.
    If you have another idea,...
    Thanks and Bye

  • 1 items have not been activated due to inconsistent withholding tax info

    Hi Experts,
I am doing Vendor Payment through T code:F-53
    That time following error coming.
1 items have not been activated due to inconsistent withholding tax info
    Message no. F5787
    Diagnosis
The open items display different withholding tax information from the relevant business partner master record. For example, the number of withholding tax types in the open item could differ from the number of withholding tax types in the master record.
    System Response
    Items are not activated.
    Procedure
Change the withholding tax data for the open item in question.
    waiting for reply,
    In advance Thanks & Regards,
    Jemes

    Dear Jemes,
the Error message F5 787 normally is displayed when you have
activated withholding tax at time of payment.
If at the moment of positing the invoice the vendor was subject to
withholding tax and afterwards, before the payment,  the master data
was changed, there is an inconsistencie between the withholding tax
data in the invoice document and the withholding tax data in the master
    record.
You should run report RFWT0010 in order to update withholding tax data
in the invoice according to the new withholding tax data information in
the master record. Please read the note 890111 that can be useful as well.
    Please let me know.
    I hope this helps You.

    Dear Kumar
The relevant withholding tax types change, for example, as a result of legal changes. A withholding tax type is relevant if the following conditions apply:
    1. The withholding tax type is entered in the SAP master record of the business partner and indicated as subject to withholding    tax (vendor).
    2. The company code is indicated as authorized to deduct tax for vendors or as subject to withholding tax for customers for this withholding tax type (withholding tax data for company code: View V_T001WT)
    3. The posting date is in the validity period for the deduction authorization (withholding tax data for company code View V_T001WT).

  • Withholding tax information in MIRO

    Hello Friends,
In vendor master the withholding tax type is selected and the liable tick mark is selected.
when posting vendor invoice through transaction F-02 after entering the vendor line item amount the system gives a pop-up for
selecting the withholding tax code, if for that particular transaction no withholding tax is applicable then that pop up can be ignored by pressing enter.
When posting vendor invoice through transaction FB60 a information message in staus bar is displayed saying
Vendor 2001305 is subject to withholding tax
    Message no. 7Q333
When posting vendor invoice througth transation MIRO no such information or alert being displayed to the user while processing VIV.
How can we make this possible in MIRO, can any one please suggest.
    Regards,

    Hi,
System should give message 7Q 333,
    check OSS notes

  • Withholding Tax Report

    Hi Friends,
scenario: Vendor invoice posted with withholding tax, entry recorded is
    Vendor                           Cr   900
    Withholding tax payable Cr   100
    Expense account           Dr 1000
Where withholidng tax payable is a GL account where all withholding tax payabe is credited for all vendors subjected to withholding tax.
In the system there are two standard reports available
S_P00_07000134 - Generic Withholding Tax Reporting
S_PL0_09000447 - Withholding Tax Report for the Vendor
these two reports show all the recorded tax line item for selected period irrespective of whether tax is paid or not,
I was looking a report where in i can be able to view only withholding tax wich is to be paid i.e., all the open items in the withhholding tax payable account.
Any one please came across such requirement.
    Regards

    Hi ,
In case if you are using CIN country version then you can view the report J1INMIS .
In case if you want to view the open item in the GL account , then usually taxation accounts are maintained as open item managed .
Use report FBL3N or FAGLL03 to view the GL account details , put the tick on open items only .
    Hope this helps .

  • Extended Withholding Tax - Minimum Amount

    Dear SAP Expert,
In our setup we have extended withholding tax incoming payment for outgoing invoices.
The scenario is if invoice base amount is less than 300 EGP (local curreny) then withholding tax information should not capture invoice document.

Because of above issue automatic clearing (F.13) is not happening and we are getting error message like "Items with withholding tax code for customer subject to withholding tax"

  • Withholding Tax-Down Payment

    Hi
I am passing a downpayment to a vendor who is subject to withholding tax.  I have updated the vendor master with necessary tax codes applicable to invoice and payment.  However, while doing the downpayment, after entering the business place and section code, the withholding tax information of the vendor is not getting popped up for selection and applying.  What could be the reason ?
